The treatment is only as good as the staff. Sierra, Juli—and Lisa are shining stars on the floor. They are engaged and positive. You rarely just see them sitting around doing nothing. Juli recognized today that I was struggling and came and worked through it with me. Two others were very negative and allowed the 12/3 goals group to become a bitch session taken over by one person. They joined right in the negativity. J and C either need more training or need to find different jobs. The rest of the staff was ok and made me feel safe and respected. I would suggest more groups that are not jut free for all. Use art as a therapy tool not just e etyome vome in and paint. Do some education groups and some coping skills groups. All of the leaders need to understand how to run a group and not let a client take it hostage. Cynthia—the provider just makes me smile. My heart did a little happy dance when she came in because I knew she’d not not o it listen but really hear me.
