Miracle Lake is a residential Christian training center for men struggling with life controlling addictions. Miracle Lake uses a biblical approach to recovery through establishing a relationship with Jesus Christ. Miracle Lake also offers a structured schedule, group class, group therapy, recreational therapy, individual counseling and various other beneficial activities.

Miracle Lake Focus:

Substance Abuse

Substance Abuse Treatment Centers focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

What does Miracle Lake offer?

Residential (inpatient) Treatment

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Therapies Offered:

Individual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Group Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Experiential Therapy

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional “talk therapy” by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Miracle Lake Highlights:

The five phases of Miracle Lake's program are: Repentance, Faith, Mind Renewal, Life in the Church and The Life Beyond. Repentance is to “repent’” literally means “to change the mind. It is a blessed privilege that God, in His loving mercy has granted to everyone. Repentance is something that no one, not even God himself, can do for the persona. The person has to change his own mind. As in a checker game, God has already made His move, the person is the one holding up the game.
Life in The Church. The church is God’s provision for maintaining and developing your new life. When their students leave Miracle Lake, they guarantee them that they will fail if they do not immediately line up with a God– called pastor, and a person committed to the Savior.

They also offer a transitional living program after graduation as well. The transitional living facility is at a different location and is geared for learning how to keep God first as the patient enters into the work force. During this phase of the program they offer job placement, money management class, group therapy and various other beneficial activities. This program is highly recommended if the patient is looking for a life changing experience.
