Next Level Recovery Outpatient Focus:

Substance Abuse

Substance Abuse Treatment Centers focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Opiate Addiction

Opiate Addiction Treatment Centers specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Alcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Rehab Services:

Psychotropic Medication

Psychotropic medications (aka psychodynamic medication) are any medicines used specifically to affect and/or alter a patient’s mind, emotions, and behaviors. Such psychiatric medicines are often used to change chemical levels in the brain that impact a person’s mood and behavior. These medications include mood stabilizers, antidepressants, anti-ADHD drugs, and anti-anxiety medications.

What does Next Level Recovery Outpatient offer?

24 Hour Clinical Care

At certain points in the recovery process, it’s important to have support available 24/7. 24-hour clinical care offers a safe environment in which to recover from drug or alcohol addiction in peace, knowing medical detox and other treatment will happen with professionals on hand.

Intensive Outpatient (IOP)

Intensive Outpatient programs are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

Dual Diagnosis/Co-Occurring Disorders Treatment

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person’s mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Treatment Types:

Individualized Treatment

Certain drug and alcohol rehab centers have standard treatment regimes they expect all patients to follow. Others offer individualized treatment, meaning they tailor treatment to a person’s specific background and needs. For example, a rehab facility may adjust a treatment program to take into account the type of drug or addiction from which the person suffers, their age, medical condition(s), religious beliefs, or lifestyle.

Family Program

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Therapies Offered:

Individual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Group Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Couples Treatment

Sometimes people in love can also share the problems of drug addiction, but there is always hope. Whether the client, his/her partner, or both are addicts, they work with couples who are dealing with addiction to repair the emotional strife endured and heal the physical ailments. Drug addiction recovery can be difficult by yourself, so relying on a partner for support can be a powerful tool in recovery.

Experiential Therapy

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional “talk therapy” by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

Life Skills

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Next Level Recovery Outpatient Highlights:

Participants in Intensive Outpatient Program are free to maintain a semblance of their daily lives, including work and school commitments, family responsibility, and personal activities. Remaining anonymous may be easier, since there is no long period of absence from normal activities.
The wheel that powers Next Level Recovery relies on four powerful spokes. The first spoke – crisis intervention – helps families in crisis reach out to their loved ones with a positive and effective helping hand. The second spoke is the diagnosis of underlying conditions. This is an important spoke in the wheel, providing a comprehensive diagnosis of the issues behind the addiction. Family counseling forms the third spoke and prepares the road toward healthier and more honest relationships. All of the spokes are fortified with the fourth and final spoke – local resources – which enables the client to reach out to the community and receive the help they need for continued sobriety.
Private
Sober living facilities can be a valuable tool for maintaining sobriety, but before the client can maintain sobriety, outpatient treatment can help her/him become sober. Sober Living Properties offers a series of specific checkpoints that enable individuals at their transitional housing properties to progress through the stages of early recovery and return to society with stronger life skills and healthier habits.
