ICFR is the best in the state of Indiana BY FAR for mental health and substance abuse. I’ve been to both the Bloomington location and this one. This facility has Adolescent, Substance Abuse, Mental Health and Forensic programs. An old hospital purchased for the right reasons, and turned into a magnificent treatment center. TVs in the bedrooms, very clean showers and bathrooms thanks to the hard working housekeepers. There is a gym, arcade, barber/beauty shop, movie theater, yoga, art therapy,guitar classes, drum classes, and 12 step gatherings… ICFR Mishawaka has it all. A “high psych” unit for people like myself that needed that acuity of care when they arrived in psychosis (thank you Nurse Jamie, Celdric and Dave) Excellent care team including Nurses, NPs, and Doctors. The behavioral health technicians are TOP notch and made my stay as comfortable/accommodating as possible. The ICFR Bloomington location saved me from a life plagued by addiction a little over a year ago and ICFR Mishawaka helped me get stabilized on the right medications (thank you NP GG and Dr. Yoder) after a post medication psychosis and I learned so much from the facilitators such as Brennan and Jackie! Excellent therapists such as Rob (thank you) and fantastic case management such as Nercus (thank you). Also client advocacy Ms. Susie, thank you for fighting for your patients! This place will come get you and deliver you to one of their locations professionally (thank you Alex) then return you highly educated in whichever battle you are facing be it mental health, substance abuse, or dual diagnosis to your home. Don’t waste your time being a dollar sign to another company or continue feeling like you are a lab rat… Gene site testing is available to get you on the correct medication… also Spravato(esketamine) as well and TMS are possible options for treatment at ICFR. Outpatient programming will be set up for you prior to leaving if necessary that can include virtual. Also you will leave with continuing care set up such as Psychiatry, Therapy and a GP. Great Alumni program that help make sure you are doing well after treatment and if you ever need to go back to treatment (thanks Shane, and also the IRREPLACEABLE Collin from the Bloomington location who ALWAYS just a text or phone call away over a year from leaving treatment). I highly recommend ICFR above ANY other.
