Elevate has changed my life. I have learned how to cope with intense emotions without substances. The full program has not only made me look forward to sobriety, but has made me look forward to living my life confidently and well-balanced.

This program really helped my daughter get sober by giving her the tools she needed to figure out that she was only harming herself. My daughter recently graduated from Elevate and has roughly past her 100th day sober and it’s been a big turn around and we are so grateful for the program and happy to have our daughter back home she’s much happier and interacts with the family more unlike before. I want to share my experience at Rise Malibu. I started 2 months ago for a 30 day inpatient treatment. In one word I would describe my experience as AMAZING!! I have been to other facilities before but this experience is life changing. Its still early in my recovery, (60 days so far) so I can't speak long term yet. My main therapist Dr Mark was incredible, and had approaches to sobriety that I had never heard of before. Terry, Michael, Cat, Gina, Tim and were all awesome therapists with differing methods of treating addiction. Not just AA which was enlightening to me. As a holistic sceptic, I was very surprised at how it helped me, especially the breathing techniques. I will utilize the breathing and yoga techniques the rest of my life. The support people at the facility John and Nam were great. Offering walks and hikes all the time as well as the Sunday outing. Especially enjoyed just talking about life with John who is a wonderful person and family man. The nurses Paige, Sherri and Zach were awesome to talk to and took very good care of me. The Chef Bryce is a 5 star chef who could work at the best restaurants. The food was great. The facility is beautiful with views of the ocean from every room and a pool on top floor where I stayed. Ron, the owner is a great guy and he really does care. That's why he does this. I talked to him for an hour on my first call to Rise and he actually answers the phone himself every time I called the number. Again, it's his passion to help people. The staff started talking about an aftercare plan 10 days after I joined the facility and I had a fully set up aftercare plan complete before I even came home. I very much look forward to writing back again in 6 months as I continue my recovery. In summary I don't think you can find a better place. Rise has saved my life on numerous occasions! The staff alone is super amazing that they have become my family. I cannot speak highly of all the times I have been through Rise. The peaceful ocean setting , the warm pool, the delicious meals, the wonderful group therapies, the wonderful group outings, comfortable room accommodations (and very private!!) make the whole experience absolutely wonderful and such a blessing. Will forever be blessed by Rise and the wonderful people there that make it so special and fabulous. The staff, Including Christina , Angie, Gina , Dr Mark, Sharie, Paul W, John, Paige , Nam , Bryce, Beth, and many more have been more than wonderful to me during some of the most difficult times of my life.

This was my second tine in DFC outpatient treatment, the reason I chose DFC was their teaching, there, client, and the friendly environment. I have been to many treatment centers in my past when I knew in my heart I was serious about recovering from drugs and alcohol. There was no other place that I wanted to go other than Design For Change. They give group and individual counseling tailored for the individual which helped me tremendously. They help me find out what I want and how to go about getting it in the group setting they don’t allow disturbances. They make sure everyone is focused. An attentive, which makes it easy to learn. DFC, my wife says thank you for giving her her husband back.

I have attended the Family Workshop many times. It is so amazing and has helped me so much. Dealing with addicted loved ones is so hard. You must have a support system to help you navigate all of the scary, stressful heartbreaking realities of this disease. The Design For Change staff have become like family to me. I know I can call on them when I need advice, someone to listen or just a shoulder to weep on. They understand and are always willing to help. I feel so very blessed to have found them. I wish every suffering addict and their family members would come to DFC for support and help. I am stronger and definitely more educated in dealing with my addicted loved ones one. If you are suffering from addiction or have a family member or loved one who is an addict, there is hope and help at DFC!

Today 8/1/2025 marks one year of sobriety. One year ago today I entered Elevate in Santa Cruz to start my detox from alcohol. A week later I relocated to the South Lake Tahoe facility. This place is great as far as accommodations go. They offer private rooms, catered/chef prepared food for lunch/dinner. Group facilitators and staff are professional and care for their clients.

Revive was a great experience. The first week was rough for myself but after finding a balance within myself and being able to attend groups I was able to acquire the tools I needed to maintain my sobriety.

The counselors and providers were loving, supportive, and knowledgeable throughout my stay. They made my detox and withdrawal experience more comfortable and safe than I could have imagined. If it wasn't for parent care I would have never been able to get my kids back or be the better person that I am today! ParentCare is a wonderful, healing place with caring staff.

Be prepared to put in the work and trust the process. These people know what they’re doing, trust them, I did and it saved my life. I was addiction to almost everything you can think of: meth, fentanyl, adrenal, Xanax, cocaine. I had been to other treatment centers in the area (don’t want to name names) but they didn’t know what they were doing. The doctor would just prescribe medication (the ones I wanted) and nothing really changed for me. At Enlight, at first I was annoyed because the other doctors had me on meds I liked but I had to understand that the other doctors put me on meds that I liked wasn’t in my best interest. 19 months sober thanks to all the care and wisdom I received at Enlight.

This place saved my life! I was a struggling alcoholic for over 20 years, had been to countless rehabs with no hope of ever getting my life back together. Thanks to Enlight, I'm already 2years sober. I have struggled with alcohol abuse for the last three years and this was the ONE place out of 23 treatment centers that finally worked. Nobody ever thought they would see me sober, but today I can say I am, thanks to Sober Life. I was a frequent relapser, just barely making it by, and when I decided to seek treatment through Sober Life a whole new world opened for me. The team at Sober Life cares. I felt valued, I felt empowered, understood and heard. After being in and out of so many treatment centers I found myself fatigued, but through my process with Sober Life I actually wanted to continue my program as long as I could. I WANTED to be there and I've learned a life I never knew possible thanks to the team there. I can say that this program likely saved my life, and showed me a new life that I could never have imagined. The support and understanding was beyond belief. I felt so safe there. I've made friendships with a lot of my peers from groups as well. Which I never wanted to do before. Recovery can be difficult to begin, scary to start, but Sober Life feels SAFE. I'm not the type to write reviews, but I know how hard I struggled and for anyone reading this or questioning a start, I highly recommend this team. I am eternally grateful for my experience there.

Sober life has been one of the best experiences in my life! I came in not really sure what I wanted out of treatment and scared to really connect with people and have them see me in my weaker moments. All of the staff at sober life loved me through these issues and helped me get to a place where I felt safe and comfortable enough to communicate what was really going on with me, and gave me the tools I needed to be able to deal with things as they came up on a daily basis. Anytime I was a little off or lost any amount of momentum, they noticed immediately and did whatever they could to make sure I continued my progress and that even though addiction is a lonely disease, it became a lot easier to believe I wasnt alone and recovery is possible. It wasn't complicated at all, they handle the insurance stuff for you so you can focus and prioritize your recovery over anything else. Kimberly, Dan, Ashley, and Kelley have all been huge grounding stones in my recovery, showing up every time and helping me make solutions out of chaos. Having all of these amazing, kind, and extremely dependable people in my life has kept me steady and also taught me what having people around who genuinely love you, want the best for you, and who celebrate your achievements and help you through your downfalls looks like. Like any recovery program, you have to want it and put in your own effort, but they make the weight just lighter enough that it seems much more attainable.

I spent 30 days at the Turrell house, and although it was my first time in treatment I believe I was meant to come to this place specifically. They did such a wonderful job welcoming me, the staff and residents really helped me settle in to the routines of the program. I loved every single group session we did throughout my stay, and i loved all of the outside meetings we went to every week, I learned so much, and I actually found my sponsor because of this program. They really care about every client individually and are very attentive to specific needs. I loved working with Katie as my case manager, she did an amazing job. I am so grateful for OC Revive. The staff here is amazing! I have enjoyed all of the groups. The facilitators run groups that are engaging and informative. I have learned so much about my own recovery since I have been a client here. Rebecca has been such a helpful staff member she is one of the first people I met. Anytime I need a way to get to my 12 step meetings or important errands she provides support super quickly and I always feel like she cares. More than once when I was struggling that day she was somebody I could check in with and feel like I was understood. Cassie is one of the best facilitators there. I enjoy all of her groups. They get super deep into my mental health factors that I need to work on. I have learned invaluable tools in her groups to manage my emotions. My case manager Cullen has been so receptive of any of my concerns and has resolved any request I’ve had very thoroughly. I feel like he really cares about me as a person and a client. Katie is another facilitator who has made me feel like I’m worth wanting to have a good life. She is encouraging and also makes me feel like I’m a helpful contributor to the groups. There is so much more I could say about the staff here. I would recommend OC Revive to anybody seeking help and understanding and or stabilization in their substance use or their mental health recovery journey.

I cannot say enough good things about Windward Way! I had reached a point in my addiction where I was headed down a slippery slope toward losing it all. Through my higher power, my family was able to see I needed help and helped me get in touch with Windward Way. From the moment I walked into Campus to this very day, I have felt nothing but love and encouragement. I didn't know anything about Rehab or treatment centers, but from talking to others they can be vastly different. Many putting profits and business over people and healing. Not Windward. Every person who works there truly cares about you as a person and how they can best help you in your journey. I felt heard and cared for. My case worker Jeri is top notch. Helpful, knowledgeable and most of all loving. There are too many techs to mention by name but each one was on par. The groups led by the facilitators were so helpful. Each facilitator brought a different style. Ken and his love for the big book, Kelly and her love of teaching us through art and inner peace, Chad and his ability to tell a story or set up a learning environment that draws you in intellectually. Tony is exceptional in just chopping it up, but always ensuring we left with a valuable tool. Otis and his ability to understand everyone in the room even given our vast age differences. Gerald and his desire to keep us involved in after care. My house manager Monica for truly listening to each housemates concerns, and I cannot forget my therapist Christina for all the insight she gave me into why I am they way I am. And last but not least the drivers. They each had a way of just listening to our chatter and somehow still teaching us skills and showing us care. I could go on all day! Love you Windward!

Bayside Marin is an excellent treatment center. At first, I didn't want to go here, mainly because of negative reviews and hearsay from an acquaintance, and corporate ownership. But I quickly changed my mind. I came here devestated by a very traumatic year of my life, in as much of a mental health crisis as I was in a substance one. Throughout the length of my stay, I was treated with understanding, patience and compassion. The bulk of their program is cookie cutter evidence based, but high quality. The employees at Bayside really care about their work, and their clients, and because of this it didn't have a corporate feel, even though they're owned by Acadia. What made this stay extra special for me was the therapy and one on one conversations I had with staff. I had the honor and privilege of working with the best therapist I've ever seen. When there's a true match with therapy it can be magical, spiritual. I have transformed into a better version of myself because of the one on one work with my therapist, whose intelligence, wit, patience, and compassion helped me to rise above and shine, despite facing some extremely challenging triggers in residential this time. When you can't fully care about yourself, sometimes you can borrow someone else's faith in you until you're able to care about yourself a little more. By the end of my stay, I felt more confident and centered than I had in a long time. I also wanted to say, the tech supervisor helped guide me psychologically and spiritually as I faced various challenges at Bayside, and helped revive my interest in spirituality, meditation and awakening. I had the best spiritual and psychological support I could have asked for, which I thought would be impossible after being at Olympia House in 2022. (Both are good rehabs with their unique strengths and weaknesses. I learned a lot at both, but they're not directly comparable, OH is a little more unique in terms of approach and programming. Bayside was extra meaningful because of the particular therapist I worked with, the behavioral technician supervisor I mentioned and the particular clients I bonded with. They actually listen to client feedback and I watched them make numerous improvements over the three months I was there. With that said, there is room for further improvement. Clients are shuffled over to the main campus from detox with very little explanation of where to go and when, which leaves freshly detoxed clients confused, angry, and feeling disrespected. I've been told they're working on fixing this problem. Scheduling glitches do happen, but that's true of any medium or large rehab. They do their best. And also, sometimes communication can be a little complicated between departments. No place is perfect. Gorgeous campus. Food was great. I was told this was a rehab for rich people who valued aesthetics over content, but that's not what I found here. They have some incredible talent working for them and client socioeconomic backgrounds are mixed. Last. I would encourage people, strongly, to ask to change their therapist if the initial assignment isn't a match. I did, and it made all the difference in my stay.

This facility saved my life in 2017! They treated me as an individual while helping me process my trauma and grief. I was able to create new habits, build self esteem and stop self medicating through life. My children & I are forever grateful to Bayside for showing me a new way to live!

I like the people and the group discussions it has been very helpfully. My therapist Rachel has been helpful and case manager meetings with Amber have helped not only with recovery but with my medical appointments. I also like my house manager Kristen. This is a all around good program.

Antonio, the Executive Director, goes above and beyond for every client. When I called, he immediately sprang into action and secured my spot in treatment with unmatched drive and dedication. The therapeutic staff is exceptional—highly educated, knowledgeable, and deeply caring. Every group session provided real learning and takeaways that supported my growth. What makes The Canyon different is the genuine care and community they foster. The environment they create allows you to feel supported, encouraged, and capable of building real recovery. This place seems like it is amazing, and I’m so grateful it exists. However, when I called to see if I could relay a message to my brother who is staying there, I had an unpleasant experience. Amber answered the phone, and I introduced myself as his sister. Before I could explain further, she curtly said she couldn’t confirm whether he was staying there and then hung up on me. I understand there may be privacy policies, but the interaction felt unnecessarily cold and dismissive. Unfortunately, this left me with a poor first impression.

Hey all this is Izzy and I want to give a big shout out to all the Lakes family and staff. First I want to start with Bernadette an Travis! I appreciate them greatly for giving me the opportunity to put my life in check again. I couldn’t have don’t it without you and I am truly grateful. However I want to give a super big shoutout to my first counselor Jeremy helped me greatly in my communication skills with my wife and my disease. Now this next shout out goes out to RA who I believe should be a counselor he is on a great path and has helped me shine with others I didn’t think I could get along with. He’s a great inspiration to my life and changing my life style I look up to you brother Joey. My heart is with you man and I know you will achieve your goals as a counselor one day as you have counseled me through a lot of things with good advice and tools that I now carry with me. I also want to give one more shout out to a really good RA by the name of Jaime you stood by me as a friend with understanding and you never judged me. Hello my name is Ruben i just graduated from the lakes treatment center with 83 days clean and sober and now living in a sober living home in Huntington beach California i was addicted to fentanyl and meth for so many years of my life coming to the lakes I did not know what to expect but it was the best rehab and detox I have ever experienced I appreciate Bernadette and Travis for giving me the opportunity and the pleasure of coming there and Bella and Finley the wiener dog was very cool to but honestly if it wasn't for the#1 RA Joey being there and guiding me thru all my difficult times and being so understanding and so helpful with guidance and support I couldn't do it with out him that man helped me dig deep within myself and showed me that anything is possible and no matter what background we come from AS LONG AS WE REACH FOR OUR DREAMS ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE,I love you Joey you changed my life and made the biggest impact in my life nobody has ever pushed me to do so good ever and I wish you the best brotha also I gotta shout out to RACHEL ,Trish,Dustin& my brottha Dj, Steve Brad ,Zach and RT all the am crew was so awesome all the kitchen staff was awesome i love you Paula and all the females in the kitchen your lady's are all amazing women love you guys also shout out to the the nurses the whole pm crew rocked Thank you guyS I have been struggling to stay clean for so many years and I finally found the tools and the right people to help me stay positive and hold my self accountable for my actions and I just want everybody to know that we all deserve a second chance in life and I wish everyone a sober and healthy life Thanks Lakes family
