The work they have them do on themselves got him to finally see why drugs and alcohol are no way of life. He’s finally sober and actually enjoying it! The BHTs, cleaning personal, maintenance crew, and kitchen staff took a personal interest in my recovery and with my aftercare plan. My amazing team at Banyan included Ebony as my caseload manager, and Katrina as my therapist. John, the administrator of the treatment center is present almost daily and he follows through as did the rest of my team and other faculty associates. She is amazing. She is there from the beginning to the end if you need anything. The first person I met at rise was Nam. He is the man he’s there for you all the time he works 20 hours a day. The man is amazing. Next, I met Zac the nurse he’s such a cool dude and listens to you and takes whatever concerns you have and it gets it fixed for you. As far as nurses Daisy, David and Nina were great. If you have real medical issues, I would not go there Dr.Raskin is a first class clown. The first time I met him, he spoke to me in the kitchen for 30 seconds and ran away. The next time I saw him was on Zoom for about 60 seconds and he got off. I had a lot of medical issues and he was not there for me. I was very disappointed in that. I refuse to see him after that that’s one of the few bad things about Rise is the doctor. If he was my employee he’d be fired. I complained about him a lot. The counselor Michael, Josh And Beth were great they listen to you and make you feel like they are helping you out. A special shout out to Cat My hippie dippy friend she is the one who does yoga and meditation. I never did that in my life before I’m an older man and she was amazing. I’m from the East Coast. The food was not that great. I was disappointed in that they have a private chef. James was the best chef That’s the only thing I could say about the food. Very disappointing. Nobody ever thought they would see me sober, but today I can say I am, thanks to Sober Life. I was a frequent relapser, just barely making it by, and when I decided to seek treatment through Sober Life a whole new world opened for me. The team at Sober Life cares. I felt valued, I felt empowered, understood and heard. After being in and out of so many treatment centers I found myself fatigued, but through my process with Sober Life I actually wanted to continue my program as long as I could. I came in not really sure what I wanted out of treatment and scared to really connect with people and have them see me in my weaker moments. All of the staff at sober life loved me through these issues and helped me get to a place where I felt safe and comfortable enough to communicate what was really going on with me, and gave me the tools I needed to be able to deal with things as they came up on a daily basis. Anytime I was a little off or lost any amount of momentum, they noticed immediately and did whatever they could to make sure I continued my progress and that even though addiction is a lonely disease, it became a lot easier to believe I wasnt alone and recovery is possible. It wasn't complicated at all, they handle the insurance stuff for you so you can focus and prioritize your recovery over anything else. Kimberly, Dan, Ashley, and Kelley have all been huge grounding stones in my recovery, showing up every time and helping me make solutions out of chaos. Having all of these amazing, kind, and extremely dependable people in my life has kept me steady and also taught me what having people around who genuinely love you, want the best for you, and who celebrate your achievements and help you through your downfalls looks like. I am literally crying everyone the Techs, nurses, nurse practioner, cook, therapist case manager These are the group of people that were exceception!! you know how some people you just don’t like them annoying especially going threw this I had a nurse Rose a beautiful Tech they sat up with me two nights my pressure was down I couldnt take anything a nuse practioner Mia no matter where you were or what time it was She was there & fighting for you she made sure my insurance was giving me the shot I needed Kyle my therspist all the therapist whobwe had for group, we were changing our lives they helped us threw the day taught us so much, even planting days out movies, bowling, Ben our guy to take us to meetings, dont play Taylor Swift lol but he did take us to 7-11 for a snacks I could go on & on and on, nurse supervisor I dont want to destroy her nameI’m a bad speller, lol Mark tough on me and I needed it, , the Techs OMG you know who you are !!! much love the cooks let say this I gained a lot of weight , movie theator, gym, Not to forget the group of people I took this journey with I am still in contact with them we supported one another we cried laugh together we were all there to break these chains that were holding us down we broke the chains together I am forever grateful to all of these people that were a part of my journey we still have or group chat these are the people I want in my life changed the people & fridnds, check !! You know I don’t even remember how I found this place my dr had me on a lot of pills for decades ir just got worse I needed a change God knows what would have happened it woud’nt be good all I wanted was to get out of Jersey far away that I couldnt run from I didnt see the pictures of this place, Calorfornia here I come When I got off the plane there was a tech holding my name & so we begin These pictures they posted believe me there is so much more the grounds stunning relaxing the pool sitting there seeing the mountains, you can see a horse being trained, the turtle on the side of the house, the goats one guy was from Wyoming his face just glew he never seen or fed goats after the detox your transferred to another house O M G I felt like a Kardasion no kidding my room double doors to a patio I just sat in peace seeing the beauty of these mointakns I’m a city gal, the hummibirds Extraordinary at night 3 bunnies came every night I can hear Ben yelling not to feed them at the time I had 3 grandchilren I missed them so much I named them after them & they honestly they gave me much comfort… ok I could right a novel about this place if you need to fix your life break those chsins GO HERE your going to get that help break those chains in a serene environment with these people that are going to change your life isnt that what were seeking make thst call you will not regret it I’m still here in the mental health program working as a house manager I did it you can do it .. The process was easy and professional from checking in to graduating the program. The facilitators of sessions are engaging and try to further deeper thoughts for conversations and the counselors are the best I have had the pleasure of working with. Orion Hudgins 1 month ago I entered the residential unit of the Betty Ford for my opioid addiction after a brief stay in detox, as I had already detoxed at home. I found the accommodations to be nice and adequate, but not luxury, more like a nice dorm with a meeting area and kitchen. We had mostly 2 to a room and a patio area. The oversight was there, but not overbearing. The staff are so nice and caring; from the techs to nursing, the instructors, counselors and even the cafeteria staff. After 3 weeks in residential I moved to PHP, which is a great intensive learning environment. I live nearby so I went home, but many people go to Daisy Lane, which is a nice housing site for sober living. After PHP, there is another step down to IOP, which I intend to go to as well to complete my treatment. The grounds are just beautiful with lush green grass against a backdrop of gorgeous mountains. The cafeteria is great with a variety of fresh foods and daily changing salad bar. I have really enjoyed my stay and experience here and I have been clean and sober for over 60 days now.
