This was my second treatment facility, I had mixed thoughts coming into it because my last one was too intense. But Akua was awesome, I loved the staff they were very kind and helpful people and super supportive thru all the 3 months I was there. They ran groups well and gave me a good perspective on myself and how do deal with my anxiety and addiction, also my sessions with my case manager and therapist were very helpful. I appreciate all the people I was with too and they being older than me since I am still very young, gave me a lot of good insight on life and how living sober is the best way to achieve my goals and dreams. I appreciated and am very grateful for my time there and would recommend this place to anyone who deals with mental health and substance abuse issues!!

I recently completed a program at this rehabilitation center, and I can say without hesitation that the level of care, professionalism, and holistic focus exceeded my expectations in every respect. Activities such as yoga, sound bath healing, music therapy, and art therapy are not treated as optional add-ons, but as integral components of recovery. This comprehensive approach creates an environment where genuine healing can take place. The quality of care extends even to the dining experience. The meals prepared by the in-house chef were exceptional—easily some of the best food I have had. There was not a single meal that fell short of excellence, and the chef was highly accommodating to individual dietary needs and preferences, ensuring every resident felt considered and cared for. The staff is truly the backbone of this organization. The technicians and nurses demonstrated an unwavering commitment to resident care, consistently going above and beyond to ensure safety, comfort, and support. I would like to specifically recognize Christa (Facility Manager), Kersey (Alumni Coordinator), Nurse Kim, Nurse Jazz, and technicians Rueben, Mike, Lainey, Alexis, Lilly, and Remy. Each of them brought professionalism, compassion, and dedication to their roles, and their impact on my experience was significant. Another standout aspect of this center is its respect for individual beliefs and values. I was personally accommodated in attending church, and it was clear that the facility makes a genuine effort to support all residents in practicing their faith or spiritual preferences. This level of respect and inclusivity is both rare and commendable. The facility itself is well-maintained and welcoming. Maria, who oversees cleanliness and upkeep, does an outstanding job ensuring that all common areas and bathrooms are consistently clean and orderly. Beyond that, she goes the extra mile by assisting residents with maintaining their personal spaces when needed. Equally important, she is a kind and approachable presence—always willing to listen and support residents on a personal level.
