Five-Star ReviewChoosing this design for change treatment center was one of the best decisions I ve ever made. From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt a sense of safety, support, and genuine care that I hadn t experienced anywhere else. The facility is beautiful and peaceful, but it s the people who make this place truly special. One of the standout individuals on the team is Tiffany, one of the directors. Her compassion, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to every individual s recovery journey is something you rarely see. Tiffany doesn t just talk the talk she truly walks with you through the process. Whether it was a rough day or a breakthrough moment, she was there offering insight, encouragement, and a calming presence that made all the difference. The program is thoughtfully designed, blending evidence-based therapy with holistic practices, and the staff are all incredibly knowledgeable and supportive. You re never treated like a number here you re seen, heard, and deeply respected. If you re looking for a place that s not only committed to helping you heal but also to empowering you long after you leave, this is it. I m beyond grateful for my experience, and for people like Tiffany who pour their hearts into the work they do every single day.

From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and cared for. Having a private room was a huge plus it gave me the personal space I needed to focus on my recovery while still managing my work and school. The fact that I could use my phone and laptop was incredibly helpful, allowing me to stay connected and on top of everything while receiving the care I needed. The staff were incredible not only professional but genuinely caring. They treated me like a friend, making the whole experience feel much more comfortable. The facility itself is very comfy. Plus, there were plenty of fun outings that kept me active and distracted in the best way possible. If you’re looking for a place where you can focus on recovery while still maintaining your responsibilities, I can t recommend this place enough!

I had the privilege of going through detox at this facility. To say this place is awesome is an understatement. They sincerely care about your well being and health. It’s a small facility so they can spend more individual time with the residents. They cater three amazing meals a day along with snacks 24/7. If you are truly thinking about changing your life forever, this is the place you want to start your journey. I highly recommend this to anyone needing help. Thank you for reading. Where do I begin Before I came to Elevate I thought I had reached rock bottom in life but shortly after coming here I realized they saved me from ever getting there. I came for an alcohol addiction which became a secondary objective to my stay. I learned to love myself and gained confidence in being me. I found a way to finally be happy in life, in the current moment without contingencies. To know I was never broken and that I have more control over my perspective than I ever thought was possible. My sobriety came as a byproduct of discovering my own self worth and I often lay awake at night filled with gratitude for having the opportunity to go through this program. The amount of understanding and support offered to me was outstanding and I felt as if I was amongst family. The care and love from the staff inspires the clients to care for each other in the same fashion. If at any point you need a shoulder to lean on or just someone to listen, every face you see is there for you. I can t find the words to formulate a sentence that will truly express my thanks and love for Elevate. All I can do is let others know if your suffering and need the help, this is where you will find it.

I am so grateful for the founders and all the staff at Elevate. From the very first introduction to the incredible program they have to offer throughout the entire time my loved one spent there, we were kept informed and encouraged. The setting is lovely, the commitment to helping each person succeed and get thru the hard things and the amazing food they serve as a part of the healing process. I really can’t say enough good things about this program, staff and facility. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and may God bless all of you and keep you going strong for many others to reclaim the lives they were meant to live!

Sober life is the absolute BEST place to be if you are struggling. I went in 2020 and didn t complete, and they welcomed me back with open arms march of this year and I went through completion. I have had the opportunity to stay in their network by getting care at SD wellness for psychiatry. Over this holiday week I had forgotten about my refill of a medication I need, I got in contact with Dan from alumni since I forgot what their hours were for thanksgiving and Black Friday, and by today (saturday) I have my refill! I got a personal call from Dr Amaro and got squared away. I ve never found a medical group that listens, cares, and has better communication than here. I am so happy with this process and will always come back if I need it! Highly recommend!

I went there in November of 2024 because I was desperate to get help. They were very helpful with getting me there, checking with me before I got there, and making sure I didn’t change my mind about going (as most of us do when It comes to getting sober). I had an awesome time there, the staff was great (they had their off days, as us alcoholics/addicts do). We were busy most all day every day. They take you to the gym 3x a week, they do panels, and outside meetings as well. The facility itself is clean, there’s laundry machines, snacks & coffee on deck 24/7, they take you to the vape shop and wal mart once a week, and they are working on more outside activities. There were tvs and DVD players in every unit with a TON of dvds. No bed time so you are free to roam around the facility or chill and watch TV. The groups got a little boring (but if you are with a good group of guys they are a lot of fun and informative). The way insurance and every thing works was a little frustrating because it’s on a weekly basis if you stay on the treatment side or go to phase 2. You are allowed your phone 3x a day for a hour each time. The units are awesome, it is an apartment (if you go try to get into the one above the kitchen on the left haha). Mike who is one of the main dudes is an awesome person! I am currently on day 63 and if it weren’t for the lighthouse I would most likely be either dead or in the process of drinking myself to death. If you are in need of help, do the hard thing and ask for it. The money, job, or whatever it is that is keeping you from going won’t be there much longer if you continue to do what you’re doing. I love you all and hope this helps!

I would like to express my gratitude to the Lighthouse and all the staff who had helped me and guided me. I stayed at the Lighthouse for about 90 days and in that timeframe I was able to receive one on one Care meet with a therapist. All my needs were met. Everyone went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable in a very uncomfortable situation. I am forever grateful for this facility and being there for me at a time when I needed it the most.Thank you, Stephanie and Julie for holding my hands as I walk through those doors!

Hands down the best decision I made for myself to save my life. I had no idea what to do with my life as I was spiraling into a seemingly inescapable abyss until I reached out to Treehouse. I had my reservations about going to a place like Treehouse as a member of the LGBTQ+ community but the amount of support and acceptance I received even before I committed to going was incredible. I gained the knowledge and tools that I use on a daily basis that help me live life to the fullest potential. I discovered new things about myself while going through the program by living outside of my comfort zone and allowing myself to try things I never thought I would be interested in. Treehouse was able to create a space where I could explore these new things and create strong bonds with guys that impacted my recovery in the best way possible and gave me a stronger foundation to move forward with my life. The therapy was life changing, shoutout to Chuck and Ryan, they saw something in me that I could not see for myself and helped me bring that out. The coaches were incredible as well, shoutout to Dylan, he taught me so much that went above and beyond physical fitness and weight training. Vechi and Brandon were instrumental in working with me to get me the help that I needed and incredible human beings. Words cannot express how grateful and honored I feel to have gone through and graduated from this program. If you’re looking for a place that’ll give you the best chance at success in recovery, this is it. You are worth it.

When I first walked through the doors at Treehouse, I was lost, broken, and trapped in a cycle of addiction that I never thought I could escape, Never! I had become a prisoner to alcohol and drugs, and my life was spiraling out of control. The guys at Treehouse, there programs, and there unwavering support, helped me find my way back to the person I was meant to be!At my lowest point, I felt like there was no hope But within the walls of Treehouse, I found Compassion, Understanding, and the TOOLS I needed to fight for my sobriety. Through counseling, support groups, and the kindness of those who had walked this path before me, I learned that I was NOT alone. I discovered strength within myself that I never knew existed, and for the first time in a long time, I believed in the possibility of change. I learned to take Responsibility for my Actions, to heal from the pain I had caused myself and others, and to embrace a FUTURE filled with HOPE. TREEHOUSE gave me the courage to rebuild relationships, to Chase Dreams I had long abandoned, and to live a life of PURPOSE and CLARITY.Today, I am proud to say that I am sober. Every morning, I wake up with a sense of Gratitude instead of dread. I have regained my health, my relationships, and most importantly, my sense of self-worth. NONE of this would have been possible without the GUIDANCE and SUPPORT that Treehouse provided me during my darkest days.I just want to say Thank You for being the place where I found healing, hope, and a second chance at life. I have and will carry the lessons I have learned within me ALWAYS, and I hope to one day give back to others who are fighting the same battle. Because of you, I am no longer just surviving, I am truly living!Much Love..

I cannot give enough praise to Rise in Malibu. My son was recently admitted for the 30 day alcoholism program. With great fear and hesitation he was soon talking with Allison in admissions. Her unbelievable patience, knowledge, unmatched kindness, and long phone calls, gave him the reassurance he needed to get on the plane.Upon arrival to LAX there was another team member waiting for him at the baggage carousel. He was a recovered alcoholic and really understood the hesitation being experienced by my son. How wonderful to have that real life encouragement, even before walking in the front door.Upon arrival he met all the wonderful staff that he appreciated were non judgmental, which was very important to him. Each staff member took time to really get to know him, so they could develop a personal treatment plan to meet his specific needs. He participated in group, individual and spiritual counseling. The painting activity uncovered a talent that he did not know he had. The group meals, activities, gym time and outings allowed positive and supportive friendships to develop.I visited about two weeks in and met most of the staff. Every person was as wonderful as he had said they were. It was then I learned that all the staff members have recovered from their own addiction. That explains their kind, understanding and unrelenting devotion to helping others.During my visit he showed me around and introduced me to the staff like they were all his family. He was proud of his progress and finally believing in recovery. I saw happiness in him for the first time in many years. He continues to reach out to team members when there is a bump in the road. Having that ability has truly kept him on the right path. He is now in sober living with sobriety a realistic outcome, for the first time in 20 years. I am forever grateful to Rise in Malibu!

An absolute gem!!The home is stunning with individual spacious rooms, infinity pool, and view of the ocean for starters. My experience with the admissions team of Lori and Berkeley was a great start as I did not, for one minute, feel pressured. The staff, comprised of Masters level and Doctorate clinicians provide the most comprehensive treatment this industry has to offer. The one on one attention you receive here is unbelievable. I had 90+ sessions in a 30 day stay. My Primary Therapist Dr Nisha, my case manager Ellie, Trauma Therapist Michael, IFS and Neurobiology with Dr Mark, Massage and relaxation with Sam, LMFT Gina and Heather, Breathwork/Reiki/Yoga with Cat, Personal Trainer Luke, Nursing with Shari and Paige, Spiritual Counseling with Gina and Beth, 5 star Chefs Jake, Cameron, Bryce and Amanda, Support staff Nam, Art with Noku, all provided the care I desperately needed at this most vulnerable moment in my life. And I need to mention that the CEO Patrick is amazing and he meets every client with a smile and some hope.If you are needing help, look no further and come to Rise in Malibu. You will be overjoyed you did!!

Any good story should start so there I was. So there I was, I was a meth user for 30 plus years and an alcoholic. I don’t know we’re to begin on how much starbridge helped me.. my mental health was shot by body was shot and my pride was shot I had been to countles facilities and programs during my 30 years of use and soon as i left I knew I was getting high. Something clicked here at starbridge recovery for me yes I have a 1 year old and a partner at home that I was trying to get clean for but the staff and faculty had me realize that I need to do first and for most for me than my family will reap the benefits of the real Tyson. I can go on and on about the good food from the private chef the heated pool the nurse on duty the technician that run groups and the counselor/psychiatrist,and the other clients that were there at my stay… but what really got me was soon as walked in the door the energy that overcame my body and In my belief the other countless souls of the people who came and left before me left a part of themselves there. And I knew that I was safe from whatever my problems were that they were gonna be taken care of I want everyone too know that starbridge recovery has saved me and has shown my family a new man one that they deserved for 30 years ….. thank you for saving my life everyone at starbridge and beyond. I now have a life without drugs and fighting mental health issues because they gave me the tools I needed to prevail and strive in my new clean sober life thank you and if anyone needs help or has doubts let starbridge take your hand and show you the path to sober life I give a 5 star cause Google doesn’t have 10 thank you so much I can’t say it enough sor saving me. This was the best recovery experience! This was not my first time in treatment and I thought that I knew what to expect. The groups were small and intimate. The staff and other clients were caring, empathetic, open minded and friendly. I was introduced to Smart Recovery which is a great alternative to 12 step programs. We attended 12 Step meetings as well. All the techs and counselors were committed to my success. My therapist Stephanie is a great listener! She heard my concerns and was able to present other perspectives that I hadn t thought of. The chef, Dean is a fabulous cook! Dustin, Evan, Leslie, Sam, Brittany, America were all essential in this process. They are all proof that the opposite of addiction is not sobriety but connection!

I had the immense privilege of attending the Canyon twice. I completely turned my back on sobriety and found myself in a place of hopelessness and despair. The Executive Director Antonio refused to give up on me and moved heaven and earth to make sure I would get the help I needed. Since the day I met him he as been in my corner and I have watched as he has worked tirelessly every single day to ensure each and every one of his clients are taken care of. He is constantly reinventing the program making sure the best clinicians are on staff. Their level of knowledge and professionalism blended with kindness, patience, and unconditional love is special to be a witness to and a recipient of. They blend CBT, ACT, Mindfulness, Eastern Philosophy, Scientific Study, SMART Recovery, Refuge/Dharma, AA and all other 12 Step recovery programs into an actionable toolkit that equips their clients to find a path that works for them and to completely rebuild themselves into a brand new life.I cannot express my gratitude enough to this program. It truly works if you’re willing to try.

My experience at The Canyons was life changing. Antonio and his team of therapists, support groups and staff are all wonderful to work with and truly care about your recovery and well being. I have had other experiences in recovery and have never come out with a more solid foundation and hope for the future than I have since leaving the canyon. They have all the necessary resources and even offer post recovery Alumni services that I plan to unitize moving forward. If you have problems with addiction or questions about your sobriety and substance use, the Canyons is a place that I highly recommend for a better chance at a brighter future and one that doesn t depend upon substance abuse. A big thank you to the entire team at The Canyons you have changed my life and myself, my kids and family are appreciative of all that you have done for me!

The Canyon was the turning point in my sobriety journey. As a gay man, it was crucial for me to find treatment that focused on addressing addiction itself rather than its symptoms, such as sex or objectification. The inclusive and affirming environment at The Canyon provided exactly that.I am deeply grateful for the unwavering dedication of Antonio, Franchesca, and the entire staff, who helped guide me from a place of hopelessness to healing. Completing the program has transformed my perspective I now see the world through a lens of abundance and am committed to helping others in their recovery journey.A special shoutout to Michaelis and Kelani for their incredible support throughout this process. Thank you, The Canyon, for giving me the tools to reclaim my life.

A Love Letter to the Place That Saved My Life There are no words big enough, no thank-yous deep enough, to fully express what this place has given me. Walking through the doors of this rehab, I was not just broken—I was gone. A shell. An echo of the person I used to be. I didn’t come in with hope; I came in with desperation. I had burned bridges, lost myself, and forgotten what it meant to truly live. But this place… this place gave me everything back—and more. From day one, the staff treated me not as a case or a number, but as a soul worth saving. They didn’t judge my past. They held space for my pain, gently guiding me out of the shadows I’d been lost in for so long. They reminded me that I wasn’t just addicted—I was hurting, I was human, and I was still worthy of love. The counselors weren’t just professionals—they were warriors, walking with us every step, sometimes carrying us when we couldn’t carry ourselves. They challenged us. Believed in us. Cried with us. Laughed with us. Celebrated every tiny victory like it was the Super Bowl. Because in recovery, those victories are everything. I learned how to feel again. How to breathe. How to forgive myself. I learned that recovery isn’t just about saying no to a substance—it’s about saying yes to life. Yes to family. Yes to morning sunlight and belly laughs and long talks and second chances. I got my smile back here. I got my future back. I will never forget the people I met here—the late-night talks in the common room, the moments of raw, unscripted honesty, the way complete strangers became family. We cheered each other on. We picked each other up. We healed together. That kind of bond doesn’t fade. Today, I am sober. I am strong. I am healing. But most importantly—I am here. And I owe that to this sacred place that saw light in me when I could only see darkness. If you are wondering if this is the place for you, let me say this from the deepest part of my heart: it is. Let this be the start of your miracle, like it was mine. Thank you, from the bottom of my soul. You didn’t just save my life—you gave me a reason to live it. Forever grateful,

🌟 A Love Letter to the Place That Helped Me Begin Again 🌟 I don’t know if words will ever fully express what this place means to me — but I’ll try. When I walked through those doors, I was exhausted. Not just tired — spiritually winded. I was carrying the weight of choices, shame, fear, and the echo of my own voice asking, “Will I ever be whole again?” And then something happened. A team of the most compassionate, professional, beautifully human beings I’ve ever met welcomed me — not like a patient, but like a person. Like someone worth fighting for. From the nurses to the counselors, the kitchen staff to the therapists, the front desk to the housekeeping — each one of them carried light into my darkest moments. They didn’t judge. They didn’t push. They walked with me — step by step — back into myself. Every group, every one-on-one, every conversation over coffee, every morning reflection… it rebuilt me. They didn’t just treat addiction here — they treated the person beneath it. They reminded me I was still in there, still breathing, still capable of joy, laughter, strength, and purpose. And yes, I laughed. I cried. I healed. I grew. If you’re reading this and you’re afraid — please come. If you think it won’t work for you — come anyway. If you believe you’re too broken — you’re not. I promise. I thought that too. And now, by the grace of this place and the hearts that run it, I have hope again. To the staff: I will never forget you. You saved my life — not just my body, but my soul. I carry your voices with me, your strength, your faith in me even when I didn’t have it myself. You gave me more than sobriety. You gave me myself back. Thank you. Forever. — With all my heart, [A Grateful Human Being]

Located in Murrieta, California, Ranch Creek Recovery is a luxury alcohol and drug rehab center that provides addiction treatment to men and women aged 18 and older. They also provide specialty tracks for first responders, individuals living with dual diagnosis, and the LGBTQ community. Detoxification, residential treatment, and outpatient treatmen
What you need to know about Ranch Creek Recovery:They accept health care insurance. Katie was great in helping me find the right healthcare provider and coordinating enrollmentPRIOR TO ARRIVAL:coordinate which house you will be staying at (Bass or Dorrien), what day you’ll be arriving, how you’ll get to the program, pack a week worth of clothes including a bathing suit, books, booklight (if you plan to read, because all lightbulbs are the dimmest possible), and alarm clock (unless you like counselors walking into your space, waking you up randomly).UPON ARRIVAL:You will need to be dropped off (there is no personal parking or vehicle storage). You’ll go through a search (appropriately, light pocket check and bags emptied) all electronics will be confiscated (headphones, phones, chargers, etc) and stored in a locked closet. Full inventory documented for all items. You will have up-to 3 days to DETOX as needed where you can sleep and rest privately. I personally got bored very fast and decided to join the group early rather than just sleep, but the option is available as needed.ONCE SETTLED IN:There is a 7 day blackout period where you are not allowed phone or computer use and can not have visitors or communicate with family/friends (emergency exceptions). There are typically 4 (one hour) group sessions daily, during which either worksheets are used from various therapy resources, or rehabilitation-related YouTube videos are shown. Counselors rotate based on internal scheduling. You’ll have 1-2 private therapy sessions scheduled each week for one on one with Leena or Christine both are great to work with and talk to one on one. Meals are scheduled 3 times a day, residents are responsible for cooking their own meals and can “graze” in making snacks/meals as needed.DEPARTING:A close-out assessment will be completed prior to your scheduled last day with an emergency safety plan for sign off. A pick-up time will be scheduled, all itemized inventory reviewed with sign-off. an IOP Intensive Outpatient Program will be offered through RCR Ranch Creek Recovery and/or a plan for after care reviewed.NOTES:Phone use allowed 1 hour a day at night after dinner, following a 7 day blackout period. Group sessions can be “boring” lots of downtime, lots of staff turnover. There are two houses BASS & DORRIEN.Bass is the main property and where groups are held.Sleeps 6 residents. There are 3 private bedrooms each with a queen bed (one has it’s own bathroom, the other 2 share a bathroom), and 1 oversized bedroom with 3 queen beds, another full bathroom by the living room. big screen smart tv, L-shaped old sofa [over-due to be replaced], matching captains chair with footrest [also ready to be replaced], eloquent dining room (dedicated as an art space), enormous dream kitchen with separate pantry room, food shopping is done once a week with a list (residents responsible to cook their own meals), Pool Table, Ping Pong,, Pool (ICE COLD), Jacuzzi (turned on Friday night only, no lights), garage with some gym equipment (you can use during free time), and a large sunny well maintained backyard is accessible.Dorrien is the “overflow” smaller secondary house about 10 minutes away. Also sleeps 6 total. 1 large bedroom with 3 beds, 1 bedroom with 2 beds, 1 master with a queen bed which shares a jack-and-jill bathroom. TV, living room, hot tub.DAILY ITENTERARY:This is where it gets a bit “grey space” ….There is a plan on paper (somewhere) and then there is reality.PAPER PLAN*I could be slightly off, as no schedule was providedwake up 7am-7:30ambreakfast 8am-9am9am-12pm & 1pm-5pm grouplunch 12pm-1pm dailydinner 5pm-6pm dailyfree time 6pm-10pmTuesday = Sound Therapy (AMAZING)Wednesday = Yoga (BEGINNER)Thursday = Fitness Training (NOPE)Friday = Educational Rehabilitation Movie & Horse TherapySaturday = “outing activity” (NOPE)Sunday = Family visitation 12pm-4pm (last 2 weeks only)its helpful if youre looking to get clean. This is, by far, the best recovery center that I have experienced and heard of. I have been sober since I left Ranch Creek 3 1/2 years ago. They saved my life physically, as I was about a month away from being put onto the liver transplant list, they saved my marriage and relationship with our four children, and they saved me emotionally, as Dr. Dena was able to get some of my issues to a conclusion without me using alcohol to numb the pain. I do the work every single day, but I wouldn’t be here without Ranch Creek. They definitely do it right!

This place has saved my life. The counselors, the nurses, the teachings (tools), and the environment were amazing. They were very patient, caring, and understanding. I learned so much there and gained a whole new self identity. After inpatient, they offered me an outpatient program that you can partake either in-person or via Zoom. That is so necessary and beneficial as well. I would suggest that anyone who wants and needs to get their life back or reshape who they are for the better to give this place a try. I live life through new eyes and with a healthy mind. You won’t be disappointed.

So 4 outta five is high for me. This place is far from perfect. But if you think there s a perfect treatment center out there, it s time to snap back. Let s be honest, for those of us looking for places like this online, our lives are far from perfect. Typically we re looking for excuses why not to go rather than reasons to go. I never read the reviews because someone always has an ax to grind. Instead of grinding axes, I ll just say this time was different. 6th trip in 2&1/2 yrs to treatment. Places I d rate higher. But it was Windward Way where I was able to find the missing pieces of my puzzle and my hidden secrets that were keeping me sick. You only get out of treatment what you put in. I entered detox with the gift of desperation. It wasn t amenities and luxuries that made the difference. It was a frontline staff that lives and breathes recovery and genuinely cares about the clients. All the BHTs, group facilitators, my therapist, case worker, & med staff pour their souls into this work. Their love and concern overrides any complaints I could muster. I m the hardest of cases. The breath in my lungs is a legion of miracles. But the fact that I m happy joyous and free today is a testament to the effort, care, and concern of people like Mark, Tony, Ottis, Jerald, Sina, Andrew, Saul, Kenny, Andria, Adam, Kelly, Nick, Shaina, Didi, Casa, Thomas, Sarah, Emily, Bryce, John AKA Pouter, Josh, Matt (still got hair envy bro), Gauge, Armand, of course Javon, PA Shapiro (I hope that s right because his management of my PAWS was spot on) and a few other angels whose names allude me at the moment.Go meet them. It just might save your life, family, job, freedom, and/or many other things. Give yourself a break. Check your pride at the door, stop making excuses and let these people show you a better way live. Besides, there are worse places to get clean and sober than Orange County, SoCal!!!What y all thought I wouldn t have good stuff to say?! I m SOBER not stupid. Now anyways. Thanks Windward Way!!!

South Shores Recovery is a dual-diagnosis drug rehab and substance use treatment facility in Dana Point, California. They serve adult men and women with detox and outpatient programs.. The treatment center creates a trauma-informed individualized curriculum for every client, comprising conventional, evidence-based treatments like cognitive behavior
The club no one wants to belong to is waiting for you. Let’s be honest: Nobody wakes up thinking it’s a good day to stop their addiction and go to rehabilitation. The fear of losing my old way of living (which wasn’t productive or making me happy) kept me looking through the distorted lens of the bottle. I thought other people needed rehabilitation, but South Shore completely transformed my life in ways I never even dared to imagine. The journey began reluctantly, much like the late Amy Winehouse’s famous song “Rehab.” The thought of going to rehab felt like a last resort, and the stigma around it was daunting. But addiction doesn’t discriminate, affecting people from every walk of life, including successful writers with master’s degrees, licenses in medical sciences, and television fitness personalities like myself. When I arrived, South Shore’s safe and serene environment provided the perfect backdrop for healing. The 24/7 medical support was a lifeline during detox, ensuring that I was comfortable and safe as I began to purge the toxins from my body. The detox process was supervised by compassionate professionals who made it as smooth as possible. South Shore’s approach is holistic, focusing on mind, body, and spirit. The Big Book of AA, which I previously scoffed at, now serves as the cornerstone of my recovery. Through various therapies, including yoga, meditation, and surfing, I found new ways to connect with myself and the world around me. The sessions at the beach were particularly transformative, allowing me to heal in the midst of inspiring natural beauty. My only critique is that due to varying physical capabilities among participants, some of the best hikes and views from atop the cliffs were not attainable due to strenuous challenges. However, this experience taught me tolerance and acceptance. Education is a cornerstone of the program. I learned so much about the nature of addiction, why I drank, and most importantly, how to stay sober. The individualized treatment plans were tailored to my unique needs and adapted as I progressed. This personalized care was crucial in addressing the underlying issues that fueled my addiction. One of the most surprising joys was discovering a supportive community. In group therapy and 12-Step meetings, I found my tribe. The camaraderie and understanding among fellow participants were invaluable. The program’s emphasis on community and peer support continues to be a cornerstone of my recovery. During my stay, I learned to achieve and maintain abstinence from substances, develop strategies to manage cravings and triggers, practice healthy coping skills, build a support network of peers, mentors, or sponsors, and engage in therapy to address the underlying issues contributing to substance use. Recovery is not just about abstaining from substances; it’s about discovering a new way of life. South Shore gave me the tools to cope with cravings and prevent relapse. The skills and strategies I developed during my stay have been essential in maintaining my sobriety. The support doesn’t end when you leave. South Shore’s continuing care and alumni programs ensure that you remain connected and supported long after you’ve left the facility. The lifelong membership in the South Shore community means that help is always available when needed. Choosing rehab was the best decision I ever made. South Shore not only helped me break free from the chains of addiction but also gave me a fresh perspective and a renewed outlook on life. If you’re struggling with addiction, take that first step. It’s not the end of the road; it’s the beginning of a new journey. Thank you, South Shore, for giving me my life back (not to mention my husband, children, and chance at a successful career!)

When I got to South Shores I was at my rock bottom, I was completely miserable and broken. The staff there helped me build myself back up and become functional again. They gave me the tools and the resources that I needed so I could remain successful when I left impatient. From the therapist down to the technicians you can’t miss. Each one of them are overly qualified and are beyond knowledgeable about recovery. Matt is an absolute legend, his groups will truly humble any man or woman. The fact that he can get down onto your level share his story and current problems truly shows how important honesty and working the program is. Jamison is an amazing tech and has so much knowledge. Don’t be afraid to seek his guidance, I learned just as much from him as I did anyone! They also have an amazing support system after you leave the program. Brian has been in contact with me multiple times a week, what’s shows me that they truly do care about your well being. But at the end of the day you’re only going to get what you put into it. It’s going to take a lot of work and the willingness to be valuable. I took everything I could possibly get from them. And even though I loved it there the only way I’ll go back is to show others what South Shores helped me have. That’s peace, love, happiness, joy and the gift of being sober. Thank you South Shore’s for helping me find my greener grass!

    About Opiate Rehab Programs

Opiate addiction treatments offer Californians battling dependency on prescription painkillers, heroin, or synthetic opioids like fentanyl a second chance at life.

Treatment generally begins with detox, a medically supported program dedicated to safely managing the withdrawal symptoms and cravings that may occur when stopping opioid consumption.

After getting the substance out of your system, you will access a personalized recovery plan composed of individual and group therapy, trauma-informed care, skills training, and peer support groups. These interventions will help you address trauma, mental health issues, and environmental factors that promote addiction.

You will meet peers committed to a sober life, and staff invested in your recovery. With their help, you will establish healthy routines and habits that will serve you for a lifetime.

A change of scenery will also help you take inventory of what you want to do next. You will get help formulating personal and relationship goals. In facilities across the state, you will access first-class food and amenities and be treated with love and respect.

When treatment ends, you will know what to do next and won’t have to figure things out by yourself because you will have a clear aftercare plan covering all your bases.

If you have had enough of using opiates to cope with mental health issues or if you’re misusing painkillers and need help, we are here for you. We invite you to change your life. Contact a facility near you, and start planning the most exciting move of your life today. Recovery is possible.

I loved everything about the Beach House at the Seasons in Malibu. The staff was amazing and the setting beautiful. I felt very spoiled because all my needs were graciously met. An added bonus was that the food was superb! We did some really fun outings every Saturday. I spent 30 days there and I achieved my goals. It was worth every penny, and I would highly recommend it to anyone needing a treatment center…

The club no one wants to belong to is waiting for you. Let’s be honest: Nobody wakes up thinking it’s a good day to stop their addiction and go to rehabilitation. The fear of losing my old way of living (which wasn't productive or making me happy) kept me looking through the distorted lens of the bottle. I thought other people needed rehabilitation, but South Shore completely transformed my life in ways I never even dared to imagine. The journey began reluctantly, much like the late Amy Winehouse's famous song "Rehab." The thought of going to rehab felt like a last resort, and the stigma around it was daunting. But addiction doesn’t discriminate, affecting people from every walk of life, including successful writers with master's degrees, licenses in medical sciences, and television fitness personalities like myself. When I arrived, South Shore's safe and serene environment provided the perfect backdrop for healing. The 24/7 medical support was a lifeline during detox, ensuring that I was comfortable and safe as I began to purge the toxins from my body. The detox process was supervised by compassionate professionals who made it as smooth as possible. South Shore's approach is holistic, focusing on mind, body, and spirit. The program's emphasis on community and peer support continues to be a cornerstone of my recovery. South Shore's continuing care and alumni programs ensure that you remain connected and supported long after you’ve left the facility.
