BHG is a great place to get the help needed to control your addiction. Addictions can't be cured but if you are ready to get off of whatever you are on then BHG is the place for you. The people that work there are the best and the program works if you work it.

I started going to the methadone clinic after my daughter was born. I have never been arrested and I figured it would be really hard to be a dad while in active addiction. That was in 2001. I've moved around to different places, Gadsden, Trussville, Tuscaloosa and others. I really loved the people in Tuscaloosa and hated leaving. I had to return to the Oxford area, to help with my mom who was terminal with cancer. When I transferred back to Oxford they were great. I loved the staff. At one point they were down to a skeleton crew, they did the best they could at the time with what they had. They have gotten more staff now and they are wonderful. I don't feel like my number so much. Yes, they are strict on the rules but look at what they deal with. I can manipulate just about anyone as an active addict. We all have that power. It comes with the territory. Thank you everyone at the Oxford,Al clinic.

I must speak (VERY HIGHLY) of them. 1.Cheryl (My Nurse).👈/A+++/💯 2.Walkita/A+++/💯 3.Teka/A+++/💯 When I got on the shuttle to leave the BVAMC. I was so honored to be sitting next to the Anniston/Oxford CBOC staff..😀 They made me feel right at home on the shuttle..❤️ They carried themselves (VERY WELL)!!💯👈 They were all together!!! Professional, Courteous, Nice!!!💯 They made me feel right at home. Not like some, that see you and won't even 🗣️ speak!! I just want to say to all of you 🫵this:👇 You have my RESPECT!!!👈💯💯💯💯 That's all I have to say about that!!! I will be filling out a form today at the BVAMC today on you all behalf!! My whole life I've heard horror stories about the VA. The last 2.5 years we have lived with my dad to take care of him. I have nothing but great things to say about the Oxford VA and the nationwide VA pharmacy. They take great care of my dad and are VERY thorough with his care. The nurses treat him like gold and flirt with him, which he loves. They provide almost anything he needs: some of his prescriptions, a hospital bed, liquid thickener, oxygen tank, eye services, psychiatric services, etc. Any time I have had to call they have been sooooo polite and helpful. Same with the pharmacy. I forgot to re-order one of my dad's prescriptions and they got it to me by the NEXT day. The VA isn't perfect, but I feel like they really care about their veterans and their health.

I have nothing but good things to say about this VA Clinic location. The staff are friendly, helpful and service is always very professional and prompt. I enjoyed meeting Dr Coker today. He is friendly, kind and listens to what you have to say. I transferred my care here from that train wreck Rainbow City location. MUCH happier here!

Community volunteer organization, Mobile district offices. Providing meals, support and outreach to homeless or displaced/abused individuals.

I went there to donate some toys and clothing. The people there were very nice.

The Lovelady Center is awesome! I have learned to love my self again, how to love other and most importantly how to love God again. I definitely recommend this place to anyone struggling with any kind of trauma or addiction. I thank God every day for allowing me to come here and for all my new friends I've met along the way. This place truly is a life saver for me.

The VA Bessemer Clinic staff is always efficient and respectful to my Father and we as his children. Dr. Cooley takes the time to listen from the heart and provide valuable feedback.

We relocated from another state and Bessemer VA was quick to schedule appointment for my husband as well as insure additional appointments were arranged for additional specialty clinics. We were very impressed with the provider as well as the staff. We appreciated their efficiency as well as their caring attitudes. Made this part of our relocation a relief. Additionally, every clinic we have encountered between Bessemer and Birmingham has been very positive, professional, and efficient!

Impact Recovery was a great experience. This disease can make one feel alone and hopeless. In this place I felt welcome and embraced by the staff and other residents that share in this disease. They teach you not only to live a sober life but much more about a different way of life that is fulfilling and free. I can’t say enough about the staff”s authenticity and genuine care and understanding of someone going through and battling this illness. It comes from their own life experiences that are relatable to our own, as they all have battled this disease and live to share and help others achieve the same.

I honestly can’t thank Impact and their entire staff enough! I had no clue what to expect with them being my very first treatment center. I’ve never worked the Steps before and truly believed that I was just meant to live the same miserable life that I’ve been living until my death. They showed me that was far from the truth. I can proudly attest to that with today being 90 days sober! This is the longest I’ve been 100% off anything mind-altering since I was 14 years old. I’m am very pleased with all care I receive from the VA hospital in Tuscaloosa everyone I have seen has been absolutely wonderful.

My brother is in Freedom Hall healthcare. The Drs, nurses, cna’s, PT, housekeeping and kitchen staff are all very caring. They go above and beyond for Charles and the family sitting with him. I have sat at 6 different facilities with family. None come close to meeting the high standard Freedom Hall reaches.

Wonderful team of Counselors, Nurses, our Doctor, our front desk staff, our janitor, our pharmacist who MAKES sure we are taken care of if she has something come up, our Director and my counselor is the best! The zoom meetings are always a great time! They make it possible to succeed! They have empathy! They all have compassion and treat you with dignity. I highly recommend this treatment program! 2.9 years sober!

Love it. They don’t want to see you everyday, they want you to succeed and get your take homes and they make youstill feel like a human and not just a number with a $. If you have to wait more than 10-20 minutes ever from pull up to leaving lot then suck it up and shut your mouth because it’s a rare occurrence and if you have been to other clinics you know how long the wait time is almost daily 😭 just remember that on those blue moon days 😁 But truly they are phenomenal ;each nurse Dr and counselor deserve praise! Thanks To The Team!!!

I work construction out of town a lot,so I've been to a few dozen clinics from Philadelphia PA to Jacksonville FL. By far this facility is 10 times more professional,quick responses for whatever reasons. Cleanest facility, friendliest, caring staff I've dealt with. If you've ever had to guest dose before,it can be a nightmare!! Maybe you didn't have any problems,but I have with other clinics. Not this one! They'll make sure you get the best help possible. I would never go anywhere else.WARNING! If you're not serious about sobriety then you may prefer the other dumps. Still give them a call! They saved my life!! I would love to see more of your bhg facilities in the Mississippi area and maybe have a federal guideline on amount of your dosage for guest dosing because I have been places where there was no problem but I've been to several states like Tennessee and I was taking more than their maximum level and I had to wait 2 weeks for a state approval. Of course I was working and it being 6 hours from my hometown I had to go home one day a week until they got it straight. I wouldn't have waited for 2 days in the waitroom thinking everything was going to be fine if someone would have told me or like I said every state be on the same thing or ar least respect the other states that aren't at the same dosage levels. We still have problems and are paying patients for treatment and I was furious after working 2 nights without and set there from 6 until 12 and then be told come back in the morning maybe we will be heard back from them. Communication is really what needs to be done between the states and the different companies policies.

It’s a great place. The parking is extremely easy. It is located beside the railroad tracks up on a hill. They do draw blood and do labs in house, which is extremely convenient. They offer mental health and general practitioners. No specialties are located there. You’ll need to go to Birmingham for that.

Very thankful for the Childersburg VA Clinic and the professional staff there. Haven't had an issue, and everyone has gone above and beyond to help me. Thank you to everyone there 🙏

Childersburg VA has an excellent staff, Especially Dr.Michail Shakhmatov. Dr. Shak is very thorough and always takes whatever time is needed to listen to you, and make sure you get the best care. I have been in the VA system for 30 years, and this facility is A1.

This is the only clinic I've been to that seems to care about their patients all the way through-- the doctors, the therapists, and the front desk always are extremely courteous and considerate. Concerns you voice are taken seriously, and your input is considered regarding your own treatment. I don't want to name any one person, because legitimately, everyone here has been extremely good to me. I'd recommend them.

I have had such a pleasant experiences here. I was tested and evaluated by Dr. Hirsh in 2021. She was extremely kind and very professional. She cares a lot for her job and her patients. I recently have had to get my youngest daughter tested for autism and adhd and so far our experiences have been pleasant. When we couldn't make it to the office, due to sickness, Dr. Hirsh was kind enough to let us keep our appointment and do our appointment through video call. We will have her testing done here soon and I'm sure that will go just as pleasantly as the rest of our visits here.

I was impressed with Mekiah (hopefully I got the spelling right). She answered all off my questions professionally and was a customer service pro. I worked in customer service for over a decade, so it's is very hard to get a 5 star review from me. She is wonderful and I hope she gets a raise!
