I went through detox and im currently at the residential and its amazing here. All the facilitators genuinely care and the BHT's. Amy is a really helpful case manager and will answer any questions you may have and point you in the right direction of resources to help you. The men’s sober living on Concord Street is a really nice, supportive environment that’s conveniently located a two minute walk away from daily AA meetings. The house is run by Patrick and Glenda and they make sure you are well taken care of, make you aware of any and all resources available to help you get back on your feet, and really care about your success in your recovery. You get to choose what groups you would like to attend throughout the day which is wonderful because you don’t feel like ur stuck learning something that isn’t relevant to you/ you can pick which group leaders resonate with you. I also love the layout of the campus. So much nature and well kept. It’s like a little village of houses. A few other notes, food is good and there a salad bar which is awesome. Gym to workout and you can get massages and go to chiropractor. Ample phone time after groups. Pizza and ice cream on the weekends. A little kiosk to order cigarettes/vapes and snacks. It’s a calm, supportive place where you can actually focus on getting better and figuring things out. What makes this place different is the staff. Every person I met has been through addiction themselves, so they truly get it. You’re not talking to people reading from a book. You’re talking to people who have lived it and come out the other side. That shows in the way they listen, the way they talk to you, and the patience and compassion they bring every day. The groups were helpful and real. People share honestly and support each other. The counselors and techs are down to earth and always willing to talk if you’re having a rough day. You can tell they care and want you to succeed.
