I am still surprised and very grateful for their commitment and sincerity. They really have helped in a direct and tangible fashion in a very short time. I never would have guessed that I would end up with such gratitude and respect for the people and process I have been gifted with. I offer my best wishes for all those who sacrifice so much to help and serve to foster recovery and wellness for others. Somehow, even I seem to be worth the effort from such generous folk. It’s a calm, supportive place where you can actually focus on getting better and figuring things out. What makes this place different is the staff. Every person I met has been through addiction themselves, so they truly get it. You’re not talking to people reading from a book. You’re talking to people who have lived it and come out the other side. That shows in the way they listen, the way they talk to you, and the patience and compassion they bring every day. The groups were helpful and real. People share honestly and support each other. The counselors and techs are down to earth and always willing to talk if you’re having a rough day. You can tell they care and want you to succeed. If you’re looking for a place where people understand recovery on a personal level and treat you with respect and kindness, I’d recommend New Life Recovery Center. The nurse Sydney is absolutely the sweetest person you'll ever meet. I went there over a year ago and and she remembered me and made sure my stay there was comfortable. Unfortunately I've stayed at quite a few other facilities and NEVER was treated with such respect and kindness that she treated me with. She deserves a raise lol! On the other hand..I made a very good friend in my time staying there..we kept in touch and we were both struggling. I was trying to be a good girlfriend and put my own health aside waiting waiting for him. I now know know that I need further assistance than just detox . He's not even. Being a decent human being/and/or being nice about it. I tried called the Sterling location 5 times where my friend is. She told me there is in IN FACT beds available but the person on the phone wasnt so friendly..almost demeaning. He said "just because there's beds available doesn't mean there's beds available". I was very confused...almost like he didn't want to help me save my life. And he was just annoyed to be answering the phone. He told me over and over in an annoyed and stern voice as I was in tears to call back at 9am. The experience, as it turns out, was extremely positive for me. The education and the stories taught me so much, and I come away with a deep regard and empathy for those who have experienced the consequences of driving while impaired and empathy for those who struggle with addiction- the addicts and their loved ones. I don’t consider myself to be an alchoholic but I made a very reckless choice to drive after drinking. My son, who struggled with mental illness and addiction for many years, had taken just taken his life and this DUI came about when I was in the depths of despair. I learned so much about HIS addiction, but also about the choices we make that have irreperable damage. New Life Recovery changed my life. Counselor nodded out on me 😆 I like to believe he was on methadone or Suboxone but he literally asked me how long he was out when he came to. All while talking about super personal information... I've been there three times... Not since the 90s old location .. thank you Lord above.. Another time the guy had the exact same line "don't you want to go to the ocean and throw your girlfriend in it type of shit 😂" same guy ten years apart it was beyond memorable. But this place plants seeds that lead to a life of substance free Bliss!! The acupuncture in the AM and evening AA/NA Meetings meant everything to me.

Sunrise cherry hill was a godsend. The nurse Sydney is absolutely the sweetest person you'll ever meet. I went there over a year ago and and she remembered me and made sure my stay there was comfortable. Unfortunately I've stayed at quite a few other facilities and NEVER was treated with such respect and kindness that she treated me with. She deserves a raise lol! On the other hand..I made a very good friend in my time staying there..we kept in touch and we were both struggling. I was trying to be a good girlfriend and put my own health aside waiting waiting for him. I now know know that I need further assistance than just detox . He's not even. Being a decent human being/and/or being nice about it. I tried called the Sterling location 5 times where my friend is. She told me there is in IN FACT beds available but the person on the phone wasnt so friendly..almost demeaning. He said "just because there's beds available doesn't mean there's beds available". I was very confused...almost like he didn't want to help me save my life. And he was just annoyed to be answering the phone. He told me over and over in an annoyed and stern voice as I was in tears to call back at 9am. Im just lucky im not someone who is WAY more fragile and sensitive amd nothing terrible happened 🥺

When I learned that I would be completing 30 hours of DUI online training it seemed daunting and I had no idea what to expect. The experience, as it turns out, was extremely positive for me. The education and the stories taught me so much, and I come away with a deep regard and empathy for those who have experienced the consequences of driving while impaired and empathy for those who struggle with addiction- the addicts and their loved ones. I don’t consider myself to be an alchoholic but I made a very reckless choice to drive after drinking. My son, who struggled with mental illness and addiction for many years, had taken just taken his life and this DUI came about when I was in the depths of despair. I learned so much about HIS addiction, but also about the choices we make that have irreperable damage. As crazy as this sounds, I am grateful for the experience because I believe it has made me a better person. THANK YOU.

The IOP program here is amazing, would highly recommend it to anyone continuing on in their recovery journey. Lyma is an awesome therapist, in the group setting and in one on one sessions. Amy is a really helpful case manager and will answer any questions you may have and point you in the right direction of resources to help you. The men’s sober living on Concord Street is a really nice, supportive environment that’s conveniently located a two minute walk away from daily AA meetings. The house is run by Patrick and Glenda and they make sure you are well taken care of, make you aware of any and all resources available to help you get back on your feet, and really care about your success in your recovery.
