Does Assurant Cover Drug and Alcohol Rehab?
Yes, Assurant insurance offers coverage for drug rehab treatment. The portion you must pay depends on the specifics of your plan, where you live, and what type of treatment you receive. Coverage may include the following types of treatment:
Detoxification
Residential treatment
Outpatient care
Counseling
Psychotherapy
Medication-Assisted Treatment: Does Assurant Cover Suboxone & Methadone?
Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is another form of treatment available for opioid and alcohol addiction that may be covered by Assurant plans. This treatment uses medication, combined with behavioral therapies, to treat substance use disorders. Many insurance plans cover Suboxone and methadone treatments, since these are two of the FDA-approved medications often used for MAT.
Assurant Mental Health & Behavioral Health Coverage
The umbrella of behavioral health often encompasses both mental health and substance use disorders. Assurant behavioral health coverage is a valuable part of insurance plans. This coverage can help you pay for counseling, outpatient, and inpatient services to treat mental and health concerns.
Laws passed in recent years ensure that mental and behavioral health coverage is part of your plan with Assurant. Insurance providers are required to handle these types of treatment as they do other medical services, and to pay for at least part of the cost. However, coverage varies based on your location, your plan, and the treatment you receive.
Hello im Ashley and im an addict. My whole life has been filled with chaos and trauma. Some from my own doing and some that wasnt my fault. There is not a single bad word i can say abouy my experience at Beachway Therapy Center. My time there was cut short thanks to my own self-sabotaging behavior. Even then Beachway still treated me with compassion and the desire to help me. My situation was a unusual one. I came into the trauma program with a clean date of April 16th 2014. So at 11 years clean i was dealing with bipolar disorder, intense anxiety, a very unhealthy toxic relationship and an intense desire to break generational curses for my children. My history is one that involves homelessness, street drugs and a street mentality. Beachway took on the challenge of helping me work thru that trauma. I opened up to the program and other woman like never before. I had an amazing counselor, amazing case manager, and amazing staff that were there anytime i had moments of high anxiety or worry. I am so disappointed i ruined my chances of having a chance at going thru a trauma program with Beachway. Just in the short time i was there i did gain a small sense of self back. If you were like me and worry about making friends with the other clients because they wont understand you or like you, that is not even close to true. I found a sense of community that i couldnt find anywhere else in my life. If i manage to find a magic lamp, one of my wishes would definitely be used on looking young forever after that id wish to feel the peace and serenity i felt at Beachway. Thanks to them i had just enough courage to get me and my kids out of my bad situation. Now my goal is to continue with trauma therapy. Do not be me and let your past dictate your future. No matter how clean you are from drugs that trauma will creep up on you and when it does use tools like Beachway to seek help instead of the alternative, and please for the love of your higher power get out of your own way and accept their help before you get kicked out like i did. I am forever grateful. Thanks for letting me share my expierence, strength and hope.

My experience at Banyan was very good. The staff was very helpful, the therapy was extremely beneficial , and the food was great! Like with all rehabs, it is what you make of it. If you go there thinking everything is perfect, you’ll be disappointed, it’s not. If you go for simply a social experience, it’s not a resort. If you go because you’re serious about your recovery, it’s a great place to take the first step !

Loved Beachway. I was extremely anxious with everyday panic attacks, and the medicine was no longer working. At Beachway I found a way to control my attacks and anxiety. It is not easy and sometimes I felt like it wasn’t going to work.
We worked through my childhood traumas and I learned techniques on how to defuse my anxiety.
Loved Dina’s honest and hardcore classes and also Gigi’s trauma class.
From the intake department, to the counselors, security, kitchen staff, Directors, Nurses and everyone that worked there I thank you. ❤️
I showed up to Treehouse ready to change but i didn't know how to make these changes. Anything i tried alone always seemed to fail until i was accepted into the treehouse family. They showed me how to handle simple to complex tasks with a rational clear thinking mind. They gave me the tools and confidence to stay in a state of gratitude day in and day out. They solidified my hard working ethics and gave me a place to call home. We worked hard and we had a lot of fun. I particularly love the ocean (surfing, diving, skimboarding) so being on the boats with the team was my favorite part of the physical modalities. I owe it big time to the clinical staff for listening intently, caring and asking the right questions at the right time to help me work through a lifetime of baggage.

Treehouse has made a huge impact on my life. The values, connections and education have given me an entire different perspective on life. They have given me the tools and knowledge on how to live a life in sobriety. The staff are all super cool and very supporting of whatever you are going through and will do the best they can to help you get where you need to be. Thank you treehouse !

Tree House is truly an incredible place. My life was changed in so many ways thanks to Tree House and the amazing staff. I love this place with all my heart and the people I got to know during my time there. The structure of the program combined with the camaraderie of the people around you is a match made in heaven. Thank you Tree House for giving me the life I live today.
This place is amazing. The staff is beyond incredible. They make you feel like family. They truly care for you. I stayed for 95 days. Best thing I ever did. Oh and you eat like a king lol some of the best food ever and the bakery is out of this world. In all seriousness this place is an amazing place to get help. I felt welcomed by all the other guests as well. Everyone is there for the same reason so its very easy to get along and you build a family forever . I've been out for over 6 months now and I still talk to at least 15 of the guys. Highly recommend. In fact I have already recommend it to a few people. And i met some people here in bennington vt where I go to AA that went to h.w back in the day. Can't wait to go back for a prime rib dinner soon..

I am a two time alum of High Watch and I owe the place so much. The first time I went in July 2023 was the first time I ever tried to get sober - I was terrified to enter treatment, didn’t want the help, was angry and frankly wasn’t ready to get sober. High Watch nonetheless showed me so much love, support and encouragement during my 28 day stay, and in the months following my discharge. They met me where I was and didn’t give up trying to help me. This stay at High Watch was the first time in my life I felt like I belonged somewhere.
I came back 6 months later in February 2024 and this time stayed for 4.5 months - completed the regular 28 day program and also the 3 month extended guest program. I am still sober today. If it hadn’t been for my extremely positive experience during round 1, I would never have returned. The staff at High Watch genuinely care about every single guest there, the therapists and group sessions are great, and the campus is beautiful. There are quite a lot of rules / a rigid daily schedule, which was sometimes tough but for me I needed this kind of structure. What’s also cool is that so many (I think the majority) of staff members are in recovery themselves and many have gone through High Watch so they get what it’s like to be in treatment and how hard it is, especially at the beginning. High Watch also helps set you up with plans after your discharge and have great connections with sober livings and IOPs to help with your aftercare plans. For what it’s worth, the food is also amazing 😊
MCR SAVED ME FROM DRUGS, MYSELF & DRINKING! I want to talk about my experience, everyone was very kind and we had a great group that I was with at the time which really helped me to recover. The first two weeks I had still been off the wagon, but as soon as I confessed to the group I immediately began to heal. Carlee was an excellent therapist for me and I remember having lots of friends supporting each other while I was getting my recovery. We would practice breathing exercises, watch movies that would help out with our recovery, and talk about anything or anyone who has been bothering us recently or from anytime in our lives. They even had a special brain training activity on the computer that you do to help focus on recovery. All the teachers were so nice and had fun assignments to do to help keep our minds off drugs and alcohol. They even have doctors who help provide medication to help keep drugs and alcohol away. I am much more responsible and take medication now to help maintain my sobriety. Thank you MCR!

My experience at Multi Concept Recovery was truly amazing. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and supported by their responsive staff. Big big shoutout to my Therapist, DEB. This is my 2nd time back at Whitesands & I wouldn’t go to any other place. Deb, thank you so much for changing my life in every aspect! I am truly grateful having you as my therapist both times. I love love you so much.
Shoutout to my case manager AMANDA for helping me every step of the way throughout my journey! It is very important to have an aftercare plan. I decided to move back to NY and she helped provide me an IOP regarding my aftercare.
HUGE thanks to ALL the techs that made my stay truly amazing. Shoutout to KEITH, Shannon, Rose, T, Ant, Joey, Telyssa, & all the other techs that made my stay worthwhile. I truly couldn’t have done this without them.
SO MUCH LOVE TO ERIC, ZACH, BREANNA, & SHAY FOR CONDUCTING GREAT GROUPS! I’ve learned so much this time around & knowledge is forever. I truly have the tools necessary to take my next steps of sobriety. Again.. thank you.

I'd been using and abusing drugs for 40+ years., in and out of rehabs, prison, mental institutions, you name. But the moment I set foot in White Sands in Tampa I felt my whole world change. My case manager Amanda Moody and my therapist Don Patton are 2 of the most amazing people in the world! They showed me things that I have NEVER seen nor heard in all of the aforementioned places I have been. All of the bht's, the culinary staff, the smoothie lady, yes you heard me, they even got a smoothie lady (lol) , the maintenance crew, the trainers at the gym where professional boxers train, the nursing staff, the security, the cleaning crew ( hola Jessica) are simply wholesome. I left there enroute to my next phase of white sands confident that I have indeed had a spiritual awakening because of the safe and comforting environment that white sands afforded me. In closing, I, as as a recovering addict, remember, with 40+ years of use under my belt, recommend with all of my heart and soul the White Sands Alcohol and drug rehabilitation center in Tampa, Florida.
Melanie is cool in my opinion. She is knowledgeable in mental health and we talked about narcissistic abuse and recovery.

Great IOP program! Allison was a wonderful therapist and Gabby, the case manager, was an absolute delight! 10/10, would recommend!
Very quick to join the whole staff is very nice down to earth. You’re in and out when it’s time for dosing and if you have to wait in a line it’s never too long five minutes is the longest I ever been in line. So take a chance on being drug free and get your life together you can do it your worth it .

The staff, Doctors, and Nurse are wonderful. Very Professional staff. Tony the Security Guard is the nicest guard I have ever met. He treats everyone the same. And, none of the staff treat you as addicts or criminals. You end up coming and going from there like you have just visited a Family member’s house. I highly recommend to anyone who struggling with opioid dependency.

I have been coming here for about 3 years and I can honestly say it is the reason I am sober. The staff here is amazing no matter what I’m going through they always help me out from the receptionist Indira who always is so friendly and nice to the nurses like Laura she is the best. Everyone is just always willing to help any way they can. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to get clean and change their lives for the better.
Love this place. This PHP is the best I have ever been to. The whole White Sands team of professionals from case managers, to therapist, to doctor and psychiatrist is absolutely wonderful.

I graduated from the plant city location and let me tell you, as somebody who unfortunately has been in treatment over 50 times and at least 15 different facilities White sands is hands down the most beautiful facility the most comfortable facility the best amenities great food the staff is hands down 10 times as compassionate quick to help and encouraging as any other place I've been it's very rare that I'm able to go all the way through a treatment center thrive and graduate and I did that at White sands I also chose to stick with them and go to their PHP level of treatment I love white sands if it wasn't for them I don't know what my situation would have turned into there was one point where I was literally under a bridge in the middle of a hurricane fighting for my life and now I'm so grateful for the life that I have and it's only going to get better and I accredit that first or foremost to God and I know that God put white sands in my life.

The IOP program here is amazing, would highly recommend it to anyone continuing on in their recovery journey. Lyma is an awesome therapist, in the group setting and in one on one sessions. Amy is a really helpful case manager and will answer any questions you may have and point you in the right direction of resources to help you.
The men’s sober living on Concord Street is a really nice, supportive environment that’s conveniently located a two minute walk away from daily AA meetings. The house is run by Patrick and Glenda and they make sure you are well taken care of, make you aware of any and all resources available to help you get back on your feet, and really care about your success in your recovery.
