Online Drug Rehab: When is Telehealth The Right Choice for Addiction Treatment?

Online drug rehab has several names. You can refer to telehealth as telemedicine, virtual care, digital medicine, e-health. It was originally developed for folks in remote areas who couldn’t access care or had transportation challenges.

Digital approaches involve using technology to deliver services. Online therapy is currently available for a wide range of patients and conditions that include substance use disorders.

Online Drug Rehab: Key Facts

  • Online rehab is available through many facility programs or by an exclusive online provider who specializes in telehealth.
  • Telehealth works like any other counseling program except for one thing. Instead of travelling to treatment professionals, providers come to you via the internet.
  • Quality virtual care uses the same evidenced based therapies and medical interventions as any other rehabilitation service.
  • The benefits of online mental health include accessibility and convenience.
  • The downside of online mental health care is that it can limit the sense of camaraderie that’s formed through intimate support. Peer support is available online but it’s not the same and being in person.

What is Online Drug Rehab?

Telehealth treatment is a flexible way to address mental health and substance use disorders. It’s done at your own pace and in your own space through video conference meetings, texting, chat or email. It can be done over a smart phone, laptop or standard desktop.

Telehealth treatment methods include:

  • Telephone services to speak with licensed providers over a landline or cell phone is available.
  • Video conferences using one of the many video meetings platforms like Zoom or Teams. Face to face meetings are available through most providers.
  • Video appointments are scheduled via various types of calendaring programs like Calendly, Outlook Calendar or Zoom Calendar.
  • Texting with therapists is also available and up to the discretion of the provider.
  • Virtual chat rooms and chatbots are available for brief questions and simple services. Chats and texts aren’t recommended for medication renewals or making diagnoses.
  • Smartphone apps that use AI can help with simple questions.
  • Email is commonly used for aftercare communication and follow up.
  • Web based tools can feature psychoeducational sessions, peer support groups and individual sessions. The variety of online tools for treatment is numerous.

How Does Online Counseling Work?

Online counseling is similar to in person therapy. You meet up with a counselor and talk through your life challenges and recovery issues. Online or telephone sessions usually take place weekly or biweekly. You and your therapist agree on a set schedule and stick with it.

Virtual counseling grew extremely common during the COVID-19 pandemic. Telehealth offered the opportunity for people to connect with qualified professionals from the safety and convenience of their own home.

96%

In 2019, 96% of psychologists were providing telehealth services by the end of the year.

Online counseling was available pre-pandemic but it exploded in popularity when many people couldn’t attend in person counseling sessions. Scientific American reported that in 2019 only 21% of psychologists reported offering videoconferencing as an option. But 96% said they were providing telehealth services by the end of the year.

Telehealth options for mental health and addiction treatment have since remained popular. Nearly a third of American adults say they’re using telehealth services more now than they did before the pandemic.

Core Components of High-Quality Virtual Care

Evidence based therapies online are the same as when meeting in person. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing and dialectal behavioral therapy (DBT) can be taught via telehealth. Even selected expressive therapies are available online like art therapy, writing and journaling and photo and drama therapy.

Contingency and voucher systems of reinforcement are successful in deterring repeated destructive behaviors and can be used via telehealth.

This allows therapists to reinforce positive behaviors with gift cards for online shopping. Vouchers allow participants to buy food or basic necessities without using the vouchers to secure illicit substances.

Medication Assisted Treatment via Tele-MAT

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has proposed rules for prescribing controlled substances via telemedicine that include requirements such as DEA registration and in many cases an in-person medical evaluation.

The rules are not yet finalized and temporary flexibilities remain in place. Providers must also comply with SAMHSA and state standards when prescribing medications for addiction treatment.

The Prescription Drug Monitoring Program is a database run by each state. It tracks prescriptions for controlled substances to help identify potential overprescribing, doctor shopping and substance misuse.

Pillbox technology employs Bluetooth to ensure compliance with medication administration. These products are smart medication and pill dispensers that offer reminders for patients to take their medications at the correct time and doses.

Integrated Dual-Diagnosis & Mental Health Services

Telepsychiatry and medication management to treat other mental health conditions follow strict guidelines governed by the Health Care Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). This is done through the use of electronic medical records.

The integration of medical record systems assists providers in knowing what other diagnoses and prescriptions are used to treat individuals’ medical and mental health needs. These services are offered in conjunction with substance use disorder treatment.

Family, Peer Support & Recovery Coaching Options

Peer support relationships can occur individually or in groups and are essential components of recovery. The online community provides 24/7 support lines with resources and assistance to find treatment.

Certified recovery coaches deliver text-based micro-interventions. They serve as sponsors while connecting you to your local community or an online group.

What are Some of the Benefits of Online Rehab?

Online rehab offers several advantages for folks who need treatment.

Here are some listed advantages to online drug rehab:

  • Rural access: Online addiction treatment allows communities in the countryside to access quality treatment and practitioners.
  • Reduced cost: Online rehab often costs less than outpatient addiction treatment. Even if virtual outpatient addiction treatment costs the same as in person services you won’t have to contend with transportation or childcare. Virtual options may offer scheduling flexibility so you don’t miss work.
  • Insurance coverage: Online addiction treatment is covered by most insurance providers. Video conferencing is considered face to face treatment.
  • Convenience: You can meet with an online counselor to receive treatment from the convenience of your phone or computer without traveling to a facility.
  • Availability: If some professionals or specialists aren’t available in your area you can access more treatment providers nationwide through online rehab.
  • Effectiveness: Online counseling can be as effective as in person treatment. One study found no difference in patient satisfaction if therapy is online or in person. In any case satisfaction increases with the number of sessions received.
  • Enhanced Privacy: Online treatment can offer privacy in small, rural communities for patients and clients alike. Many treatment providers offer online groups for intensive outpatient care (IOP) and aftercare to sustain your long term sobriety.
  • Reduced Stigma: Online communities offer more autonomy than groups in areas where people are familiar with one another. Community is essential in recovery but not necessarily the community in which you’re known by neighbors.

In Person vs Virtual Outpatient Addiction Treatment

The main difference between online and in person treatment programs is the means of communication. Rather than meet up in a therapist’s office or a rehab clinic to chat in person, you use technology to attend sessions online. You see and hear the therapist and your peers in group sessions but do so remotely from your location.

The pros of telehealth are greater accessibility and convenience.

Disadvantages of telehealth is access to WiFi and privacy concerns if a system isn’t secured.

The pros of in person meetings are increased therapeutic connections that occur in person.

Challenges & Clinical Limitations

Online counseling can address many topics to include substance use disorders. It’s also appropriate for mental health disorders such as depression and anxiety, stress or bereavement or trauma or relationship challenges. But sometimes online treatment isn’t the best option.

What Issues are Not Appropriate for Online Counseling?

Even though it’s advantageous in many circumstances online counseling isn’t suitable for all situations.

It is not recommended for the following conditions:

  • When a person needs inpatient treatment for psychosis or other serious psychiatric conditions online tools can help direct them to a facility but won’t address the need for hospitalization.
  • Any indication that a person might hurt themself or someone else is difficult to address if they don’t want to give location information.
  • If a person is overdosing, with someone who’s overdosing or is potentially going to overdose on substances in-person medical intervention is essential to saving a life.
  • Eating disorders must be clinically treated through nutritional and therapeutic intervention. Aftercare follow up may occur through Telemed but stabilization through inpatient care is essential.
  • Many personality disorders are necessary to treat in person due to the nature of dishonesty, delusional thinking and psychosis.
  • Active and unmedicated schizophrenia, bipolar or other conditions that need medical stabilization for a person to respond to therapy.

Engagement & Tech Barriers

People sometimes get tired of meeting online and disengage before their programs are completed. When this happens it’s beneficial to have an in-person option to remain engaged.

It became obvious during the COVID 19 pandemic that not every rural community had the same access to WiFi to participate in telehealth services. Some people aren’t tele savvy and end up being discouraged from seeking care.

Most providers offer tech support to get people set up to use equipment and programs.

Special Populations & Tailored Tracks

No two demographic groups are the same. Treatment usually differs when you consider age, gender, and occupation. Telehealth options often have different tracks that depend on the target population. Here are some common telehealth groups.

Adolescents & Young Adults

Adolescents and young adults may need to have a guardian or parent sign consent forms to participate. Some programs are specifically designed to include gaming addiction and work around school schedules.

Professionals & Executives

Professionals and executives have tailored programs that address the unique stressors faced in individual professions like air traffic controllers, CEOs and medical providers. Online treatment provides the autonomy necessary for continued practice without exposure.

Employee assistance programs often use telehealth for coaching, treatment and ongoing support for the retention of licenses.

Veterans & First Responders

Telemed for substance use, PTSD and other conditions unique to the high crisis professions are useful for those who aren’t willing to attend in person.

The VA Hospital system offers Chromebooks and other technology to veterans to use these services. First responders are also given access to employee assistance programs through telehealth.

LGBTQ+-Affirming Virtual Care

Services for alternative gender identity populations include specially trained providers who understand gender inclusive language and address the stigmas of minority stress. CBT and eye movement desensitization and repositioning (EMDR) are modalities used to address the trauma the LGBTQ+ population experience.

Costs, Insurance & Payment Options

Telehealth may have fewer costs and more convenience than in person visits but this service still carries charges. Some common concerns for telehealth include insurance coverage and paying for program supplemental features.

A doctor holds a telehealth session with a patient

Telehealth Coverage, Prior Authorizations & Parity Protections

Prior authorization and in network provision of services are the same for telehealth as they are for in-person treatment. Check your insurance provider for coverage prior to engaging in treatment. Medicaid and private insurance carriers cover addiction treatment through telehealth.

Comparing Program Pricing & Value

While some telehealth services are less expensive than in-person treatment there may be hidden costs. For instance, most treatment providers use onsite UA testing prior to creating accountability at no additional costs. But clients using telemed generally pay for testing and provide results to remain in a program.

Some online programs allow clients to purchase therapy sessions one at a time. These can be prerecorded or interactive but they allow clients to only pay for sessions as they progress.

Preparing for Virtual Treatment Success

Attending online sessions can have some additional challenges. Consider the logistics of arranging your schedule to attend all sessions while also setting up a comfortable space at home to present to your peers and your therapist.

Setting Up a Therapeutic Space at Home

Privacy and personal comfort are the most important elements of setting up your treatment space when engaging in telehealth. Remove distractions and anything that may trigger other participants if you’re in group settings. Use a noise cancelling headset if you share a space with other people present.

Building Support & Accountability

Peer support is essential to any recovery program. You can complement your online sessions by visiting additional websites that provide community. You can also create accountability via links with other members’ health apps. Sharing the experience of getting and staying in recovery ensures long term sobriety.

Tips for Staying Engaged & Managing “Zoom Fatigue”

Remember to take breaks during your telehealth sessions. Fatigue sets in after staring at the screen for a long time so getting up and moving around is essential. Therapists know this and often break up meetings with various activities like meditation, stretching and coffee breaks. Even many in-person sessions break every hour.

Transition & Aftercare in the Digital Era

As with traditional office visits treatment doesn’t end when you graduate from a telehealth program. Online modalities now feature aftercare programs and digital tools so you can better maintain your sobriety.

Mobile Apps & Wearables for Relapse Prevention

Many mobile apps are available for smart watches and phones that can support accountability in recovery.

  • Geofencing creates a GPS border around high risk zones where relapse is likely to occur.
  • Push alerts for cravings can defuse the fear of missing out that motivates substance use.
  • Monitoring your heart rate can build awareness around triggers and the physical responses that lead to relapse.

Stepping Down to Hybrid or In-Person Care

When a person has completed a program for substance use disorder through telemedicine it’s not uncommon for them to transfer into a sober living environment for aftercare.

Transferring to an in person environment from the virtual setting can often create anxiety. Fortunately therapists and doctors are adept at communicating with ongoing services to help clients continue staying sober.

Many sober living houses and communities provide telehealth mental health treatment follow up in private rooms to serve their residents.

Ongoing Monitoring, Urine Screens & Virtual Check-Ins

Depending on the virtual program ongoing urinalysis testing may be required. This is sometimes at the client’s expense.

Aftercare is designed to be more of a supportive process than the original therapeutic interventions. Some therapists also allow for text and email check-ins during aftercare. These contacts are usually reserved for crises only rather than regular appointments.

Frequently Asked Questions

Clients are understandably anxious about care and usually bring up many questions when exploring telehealth. A provider can offer specific details so feel free to reach out before signing up.

How Often Will You See Your Therapist?

It depends. The frequency of your sessions is generally determined by your unique needs and situation. You’ll work with your online counseling therapist to set up a schedule that works for you, your therapist and your insurance coverage and budget.

Can You Choose Your Own Therapist?

Yes and no. It’s common for virtual therapy sites to match clients with online counselors rather than asking you to choose a therapist. But you can usually request to be rematched with a different therapist if you want to change for any reason.

Is Online Rehab as Effective as Residential Treatment?

Research indicates no significant difference in treatment results between online and in-person treatment. Certain levels of severity may warrant inpatient residential treatment because of the potential threat of harm to yourself or others. The more severe the condition, the less likely virtual therapy is sufficient to meet your ongoing needs.

What Tech or Equipment Do I Need?

To participate in virtual therapy you need a secure and reliable WiFi provider and a complete computer system with web cam and speakers. Using a smartphone also works but limits visibility. Most virtual therapists use HIPAA compliant platforms to protect patient privacy and secure health information..

Can I Receive Suboxone or Other MAT Online?

Possibly. The initial evaluation is conducted via a face to face virtual assessment. After that follow-ups and refills may be handled by video or phone. But this depends on state law and provider protocols. Each state has different laws governing the prescribing of controlled substances but most align with DEA and SAMHSA guidelines.

How Do Virtual Support Groups Work?

Virtual support groups such as Alcoholic Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous are available through secured chat rooms and virtual appointments for meetings. These groups work through the same technology as telehealth and are essential to ongoing support.

I was referred to Banyan by Sandstone, a facility in Denver. Originally from Northern Colorado, I was hesitant at first. However, upon my arrival, I was impressed by the dedication, professionalism, and exceptional therapists. While there are some logistical improvements that a new company like Banyan can make, they still deserve five stars for their impactful work in transforming lives. I arrived homeless and hopeless, despite minor issues typical of new facilities, I experienced significant success. I left with an apartment and received excellent therapy recommendations. No other facility offers a residential curriculum like this one. The director is passionate about what they do and takes the time to converse and give examples in Laymans terms to help the patients understand exactly what is going on with their physical body and brain. To see your director interact with humility is the most endearing feeling to people that may be fearful to be inquisitive of the care. Special shout out to CASS & SCOTT all therapist are highly intelligent and create a diverse group therapy everyday is different. Keep up the great work, continue to promote inclusion and diversity, and to take people in strife and make them a success rate to society. Thank you everyone at Banyan! Best, Brineth.

My wife, Nancy and I could not be happier with the people and program at ERS. There’s no doubt in my mind that the welfare and success of each client is at the forefront of everything they do. Our 21 year old grandson entered the Watsonville center lost ,angry ,hurt with no direction relying on drugs and alcohol to ease his pain. ERS provided him with the tools and support he needed to lift himself out of this destructive path and give hope to a new beginning living in sobriety. He has grown so much over the past few months and takes with him so many life skills both new and rediscovered. I see confidence again and a self love that had been buried for a long time. The program is progress based and not rushed giving him time to truly work on his issues that are unique to him and his sobriety. The staff there truly care and are able to understand and mentor since many have been through the program themselves…they get it. The communication with the Family Support staff was very, very good. Caitlin was so helpful and informative and able to ease our anxieties along the way. We were kept informed regularly of his progress and his struggles and hear how we might best support him. As our grandson had pending legal problems as many newly in recovery do and ERS was even able to support this aspect of recovery by providing transportation to his court ordered appearances, helping him with his goal to be a responsible adult….many thanks to Arthur for all his support in this area. We are so very grateful and highly recommend Elevate Recovery Services ! Richard and Nancy

Beachway Therapy Center is located in West Palm Beach, Florida on N Dixie Highway only a few minutes from Lake Worth Lagoon. The center offers treatment for substance use disorders and mental health disorders (dual diagnosis). The facility has accreditation from the Joint Commission and is a member of the National Association of Addiction Treatment
Hello im Ashley and im an addict. My whole life has been filled with chaos and trauma. Some from my own doing and some that wasnt my fault. There is not a single bad word i can say abouy my experience at Beachway Therapy Center. My time there was cut short thanks to my own self-sabotaging behavior. Even then Beachway still treated me with compassion and the desire to help me. My situation was a unusual one. I came into the trauma program with a clean date of April 16th 2014. So at 11 years clean i was dealing with bipolar disorder, intense anxiety, a very unhealthy toxic relationship and an intense desire to break generational curses for my children. My history is one that involves homelessness, street drugs and a street mentality. Beachway took on the challenge of helping me work thru that trauma. I opened up to the program and other woman like never before. I had an amazing counselor, amazing case manager, and amazing staff that were there anytime i had moments of high anxiety or worry. I am so disappointed i ruined my chances of having a chance at going thru a trauma program with Beachway. Just in the short time i was there i did gain a small sense of self back. If you were like me and worry about making friends with the other clients because they wont understand you or like you, that is not even close to true. I found a sense of community that i couldnt find anywhere else in my life. If i manage to find a magic lamp, one of my wishes would definitely be used on looking young forever after that id wish to feel the peace and serenity i felt at Beachway. Thanks to them i had just enough courage to get me and my kids out of my bad situation. Now my goal is to continue with trauma therapy. Do not be me and let your past dictate your future. No matter how clean you are from drugs that trauma will creep up on you and when it does use tools like Beachway to seek help instead of the alternative, and please for the love of your higher power get out of your own way and accept their help before you get kicked out like i did. I am forever grateful. Thanks for letting me share my expierence, strength and hope.

My experience at Banyan was very good. The staff was very helpful, the therapy was extremely beneficial , and the food was great! Like with all rehabs, it is what you make of it. If you go there thinking everything is perfect, you’ll be disappointed, it’s not. If you go for simply a social experience, it’s not a resort. If you go because you’re serious about your recovery, it’s a great place to take the first step !

Loved Beachway. I was extremely anxious with everyday panic attacks, and the medicine was no longer working. At Beachway I found a way to control my attacks and anxiety. It is not easy and sometimes I felt like it wasn’t going to work. We worked through my childhood traumas and I learned techniques on how to defuse my anxiety. Loved Dina’s honest and hardcore classes and also Gigi’s trauma class. From the intake department, to the counselors, security, kitchen staff, Directors, Nurses and everyone that worked there I thank you. ❤️

This place is amazing! The facility is beautiful and the staff is phenomenal. The approach taken is far different than anything I have ever seen or heard of. The knowledge about addiction that is taught enables clients to have a real understanding of what is actually taking place inside of them, therefore giving them the ability to face it head on. The Chef is great, always making sure she knows everyone’s preferences (mine were a lot)! Amanda couldn’t possibly be a better Case Manager, there wasn’t a thing I had to worry/think about, she took care of it all! The therapist, Drea, has the best way of explaining things so they make sense, and truly cares so much about each and every client. Jamie, and the entire rest of the staff, were also extremely knowledgeable and caring. There aren’t enough incredible things I could say about this experience. Thank you all so much! ❤️

Everyone was great there, so many people to name, but let’s do it! Doug, Katie, Camille, Rob, Jessie, David, Dalton, Kyle, Mike, Michelle, Lindsey, Chloe, Tez, Rodney, Sheryl, Irma, overnight Mike and most of all our amazing Chef Kayla! A Love Letter to the Place That Saved My Life There are no words big enough, no thank-yous deep enough, to fully express what this place has given me. Walking through the doors of this rehab, I was not just broken—I was gone. A shell. An echo of the person I used to be. I didn’t come in with hope; I came in with desperation. I had burned bridges, lost myself, and forgotten what it meant to truly live. But this place… this place gave me everything back—and more. From day one, the staff treated me not as a case or a number, but as a soul worth saving. They didn’t judge my past. They held space for my pain, gently guiding me out of the shadows I’d been lost in for so long. They reminded me that I wasn’t just addicted—I was hurting, I was human, and I was still worthy of love. The counselors weren’t just professionals—they were warriors, walking with us every step, sometimes carrying us when we couldn’t carry ourselves. They challenged us. Believed in us. Cried with us. Laughed with us. Celebrated every tiny victory like it was the Super Bowl. Because in recovery, those victories are everything. I learned how to feel again. How to breathe. How to forgive myself. I learned that recovery isn’t just about saying no to a substance—it’s about saying yes to life. Yes to family. Yes to morning sunlight and belly laughs and long talks and second chances. I got my smile back here. I got my future back. I will never forget the people I met here—the late-night talks in the common room, the moments of raw, unscripted honesty, the way complete strangers became family. We cheered each other on. We picked each other up. We healed together. That kind of bond doesn’t fade. Today, I am sober. I am strong. I am healing. But most importantly—I am here. And I owe that to this sacred place that saw light in me when I could only see darkness. If you are wondering if this is the place for you, let me say this from the deepest part of my heart: it is. Let this be the start of your miracle, like it was mine. Thank you, from the bottom of my soul. You didn’t just save my life—you gave me a reason to live it. Forever grateful,

🌟 A Love Letter to the Place That Helped Me Begin Again 🌟 I don’t know if words will ever fully express what this place means to me — but I’ll try. When I walked through those doors, I was exhausted. Not just tired — spiritually winded. I was carrying the weight of choices, shame, fear, and the echo of my own voice asking, “Will I ever be whole again?” And then something happened. A team of the most compassionate, professional, beautifully human beings I’ve ever met welcomed me — not like a patient, but like a person. Like someone worth fighting for. From the nurses to the counselors, the kitchen staff to the therapists, the front desk to the housekeeping — each one of them carried light into my darkest moments. They didn’t judge. They didn’t push. They walked with me — step by step — back into myself. Every group, every one-on-one, every conversation over coffee, every morning reflection… it rebuilt me. They didn’t just treat addiction here — they treated the person beneath it. They reminded me I was still in there, still breathing, still capable of joy, laughter, strength, and purpose. And yes, I laughed. I cried. I healed. I grew. If you’re reading this and you’re afraid — please come. If you think it won’t work for you — come anyway. If you believe you’re too broken — you’re not. I promise. I thought that too. And now, by the grace of this place and the hearts that run it, I have hope again. To the staff: I will never forget you. You saved my life — not just my body, but my soul. I carry your voices with me, your strength, your faith in me even when I didn’t have it myself. You gave me more than sobriety. You gave me myself back. Thank you. Forever. — With all my heart, [A Grateful Human Being]

Definitely a 5 star review! The nursing staff, specifically Jerry, Cynthia, and Kristina made me feel seen and respected. I felt like I was part of the beachside family. The techs are so kind, Rochelle, Christian, Moe, Dree, they all have made impacts on my recovery journey, gave me laughter and kindness, and they make stuff happen. My therapist Tamyra is hands down one of the best I’ve had in a while, she could articulate what I was feeling so perfectly even when I thought I wasn’t making any sense, and my feelings have been validated greatly being here. The community is tight knit, and the activities we get to do take some pressure off the stress of rehab. I would recommend beachside to anyone who needs help.

As the parents of a loved one that received treatment in this program, we cannot say enough about the Immersion Recovery program. From Residential to PHP through IOP, not only was our loved one provided with an incredible amount of support and guidance in the journey to recovery, but the amount of support we received as a family was amazing. From the very first week we received support from the therapists, family therapists and many others along the way. Weekly virtual family group is held by the family therapists Larae and Todd for families to log in and gather in a safe and welcoming space with each other and receive support. There is also a 3 day intensive family workshop for interested families to come together with their loved ones. The constant family support aspect provided for us cannot be emphasized enough and we cannot imagine going through these months without it. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to Larae, Erin, Todd and Ashley for your constant support, meetings, calls, advice, guidance and genuine care. Thank you to Sarah for answering just about any questions we ever had. We are forever grateful to you all.

I went to Immersion in January, this is my second treatment center i went too in the past two years, unlike the first one i went too Immersion is 12 step focused! They have specific groups in residential where you read the big book as well. They guided me through the steps and profoundly changed my life. Today I celebrated 4 months of sobriety thanks to immersion! I went through there detox—residential-PHP and iop program. If you want to change your life go to immersion they actually care and guide you through the steps. Thank you Immersion!

I would like to give a shout out to Immersion Recovery Center. All of the Staff here takes Recovery seriously. Immersion is one of the few programs that help and guide you through a thorough and in-depth 4th Step. They have specific 4th step personnel that will sit down with you and help you open your mind to all of the resentments you have had since your childhood. This helps to build a foundation for the remaining steps and helps you get on the right track towards a successful recovery. Addiction is Life or Death! This program will help you begin a new life beyond your wildest dreams! If you are serious about recovery I recommend Immersion Recovery Center.

I found this center at the perfect time. I was looking for support groups that would help me with personal growth and teach me the skills to break intergenerational family patterns. The ACA group has been fantastic and I think it should be a requirement that every person attend a course like this at least once in their lifetime. The group is welcoming, the step work is easy to follow, and the vulnerability is refreshing! If you want to dig deeper and learn more about inner child work, I highly recommend this group.

From the very first moment I walked into Sophros Recovery Tampa, I was greeted with genuine compassion and empathy. It was clear right away that this is a place where people truly care. Over the past few months, I’ve been attending ACA (Adult Children of Alcoholics) meetings here, and I can’t express enough how transformative the experience has been. Dealing with deeply personal and challenging issues is never easy, but being able to do so in an environment that is both caring and professional makes all the difference. The staff and facilitators are not only knowledgeable, but also deeply respectful and supportive of everyone’s journey. Sophros Recovery isn’t just a recovery center — it’s a safe haven where healing truly begins. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found this place. If you’re looking for a supportive, understanding, and empowering community, this is it. Highly recommend.

Compassion Behavioral Health changed my life. From the 1st day when I checked myself into the PHP program all of the staff made me feel welcomed. I was extremely nervous about joining a program for my mental health issues since this was my 1st time doing It. Once I got there the techs (Jen, Jojo, Sabrina, both Brians, Jerry, and Ben) for the intake, Anna the clinical director, and Joe made sure any questions I had were answered and I felt comfortable. Housing could have not been nicer! Exceeded all my expectations! Once I had my 1st day participating in the program I was introduced to my therapist Nicole, and case manager Will. I can’t begin to explain the impact they had on my experience. Nicole, listened and understood what I needed and immediately we began treatment to help me live, understand and have a full amazing life. Will helped me with all things that I felt were too overwhelming to handle. Now that I am done with the program I can confidently say I can handle the hard things. During the program the group facilitators were amazing! Raquel, Greg, Carla, Elizabeth, Warnette, and the many others listened and taught me skills I didn’t know I needed. I bonded with them and they helped me on this journey. Finally, I finished PHP and joined the IOP program. Maria our group facilitator was truly amazing. She helped me tremendously with my transition from PHP to the “real world!” All and all if you have the chance to join this program weather It be for substance abuse or mental health, if you have to start at residential or jump right into PHP like I did, I could not recommend more! Everyone I meant there (Monya, and Cam just to name a few) whether they worked with me directly or just created a relationship with them while being in the program helped me get to where I am now! 10/10

This place and it’s staff have been nothing but wonderful to me. I came here scared of the thought of going to rehab but it all changed when I met Paul at the airport to Nikki and Christian at the house doing intakes. That’s to name a few of the staff who were basically in my shoes at one point in their lives so they know and understand us clients and where we’re coming from. Restorations has helped me regain my old sober self little by little and one day at a time. Roc is the man and I am forever grateful for everything he’s done for me in my time here in rehab. Just for the one negative comment all i say is this. Were you here for the right reasons or were you looking for a 5 star getaway or pause to your addiction 🎤🎤🎤

So proud of you Brandon! I work in the healthcare industry and it is exciting to know that places like Recovery Well offer medication assisted treatment via telehealth, so many in our state cannot afford transportation to go to and from their treatment everyday. Thank you for offering this service to the state of Kentucky. Recovery is possible!

Brighter Start has been a true blessing in my life. Everyone from start to finish has a genuine heart to see people be better. They actually take the time to care for people who are ill which can lead to the use of drugs, alcohol, etc.. So I’m glad I was able to learn about myself, and get healing for myself that way when those tough times come I know how to navigate through life in a healthy way. I’m better because of this place. S/O everybody! I would type names but I don’t want to miss anyone because it was truly a team effort, and everybody worked together to push me, and get me to where I am, and where I’m going! It’s UP from here! 👏🏾👏🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

I would like to thank COLTON, JAMIE, HANNAN, KENT, SHERRY, TOD, and any other employees at brighter start health. They are very supportive, helpful, kind, caring, and they are amazing at what they do. I never thought I would see the day that I could say I’m clean. They gave me my second chance at life. You are always welcomed when you come in with a smile and positive vibes, kind words, and would help you with any thing he can in an amazingly timely matter (kent), the doctor has a warm motherly care about her and will help you anyway she can to figure out what is best for you ( Hannah). The group is amazing he doesn’t stick to whatever he thinks no he is open and down to talk about whatever you need to help you move forward (colton). If you need any help with living situation or finding financial help or anything he is there 100% (tod). You need someone to just be there and let u let it out or give u honest feedback that she is the best one to go to she has been there at any moment when I needed her (jamie).one more I definitely can’t forget she is so loving and caring she always makes u want to smile, and be around beside the candy on her desk, she keeps you on track and helps you with all and any needs (sherry) I can’t say how greatful I am for each and everyone of them
