Huge stepping stone for my life. I’ve been to a lot of places in my history of addiction/recovery and this was the one place I actually felt like I was equal. The staff go above and beyond for legit anything you need or struggle with. I never once felt alone. Most places and people in recovery are there for a paycheck, this place? The absolute opposite. Dawg this was one of the scariest yet BEST decisions I made for my recovery journey as well as myself. The love and care is endless.

Tara will always have a spot in my heart. My experience didn't just save my marriage and keep My family together, it saved my life. The entire team was understanding and really cared about my success. They accepted our insurance and worked out a payment plan. So getting the help I needed didn't ruin us financially either. Aftter 6 years of sobriety, every time I return for meetings it is like coming home to friends that have never stopped supporting me.

Tara treatment center was a life changing program. I went there not wanting to be there and I left with the tools to help me stay clean and become a happier healthier person. Can't say enough good things about this place!

I came to Tara in February 2020 after my new born daughter was immediately removed from my care at birth, my house was part of a local drug raid, and overdosing shortly getting out of jail. I had been beaten beyond recognition- I didn’t who I was… or why I was the way I was… I was a tiny piece inside my body, the rest consumed with anger, fear, loneliness, etc. I wanted to be me again- the mom I have always meant to be for my three daughters. Tara was immediately welcoming- it wasn’t over crowded, they had nice furniture to relax in while doing the intake process, and everyone was so kind and welcoming. I recall not wanting to leave Tara when my 30 days had came to an end, but I was so excited to start my new life. As of today I am 5 years and 9 months clean- this would not be possible without Tara. Before Hickory I’ve never experienced any sort of rehabilitation. In ANY aspect of my life. I was WRECKED. So my expectations were very “surfaced”. The tools and practices the staff, therapists, BHT’s and even the front desk and office staff provide go beyond just the addiction part. Even when some of us are at our absolute lowest and have lost sight of everything and everyone else…. It’s impossible, even then to lose sight of someone making us feel GENUINELY cared about. I’ll always remember the time we spent together Hickory!!! All 3 times of them.

Allow time for me to work on laptop to do school work very respectful good food good routine only thing I would change if I could would be you did not have to have private insurance to go I would make it available to all and ran the same way as it was when I was there

I have and will continue to recommend Hickory House to people that are struggling with addiction because of what they have done and meant to me in my life. My journey of recovery would not be what it is today if it was not for Samantha, Scott, Sarah and Cindy. They took mercy on me and nurtured me back to health. I owe the many blessings that I have today because of the grace and love they showed me during my time with them. Thank you, Hickory House. First City Recovery Center is an awesome place with friendly staff, caretakers, and administrators supporting individuals through education and providing resources &to recover from the world of addiction. I would highly recommend this very clean and friendly environment for yourself, loved ones and friends.

So I just want to start off by stating that this facility changed my life drastically and saved my butt! Quite literally. I came to FCRC a scared, shaking, & shy woman. I was a kid on the inside. Mr. Jeff & Savannah saved me from myself AT LEAST 3 times from trying to walk out on my recovery because of issues on the outside (life continues even though we go to treatment, ya know). When I tell you I have never met a team of such caring loving & HONEST staff? I hadn’t until I walked into this facility. I graduated yesterday, with 44 days today under my belt. I had hopped on a plane from Houston TX not knowing anything but my Higher Power did. I am so beyond grateful to First City and their peeps. All the way from the Detox experience to my PHP part of my program, everyone was helpful and so kind. And that level of care? Hard to find. Aye, shout out to Bobby in PHP & IOP, that’s my boy!!! First City, thank you for giving me my life back & my children their mother back. My husband his wife. We love y’all. 🙏🏼🫶🏼🫡

RCA,RCA! Where do I begin? So I graduated the program in January of 2025 and the facility offered me great skills to help to stay sober and therapy while there. After leaving the Alumni coordinator always checked in monthly and I ended up at alumni events such as speaker events and even a Halloween event at Hogan Farms. I’d recommend this recovery network to anyone seeking a safe and reliable sober community!

I just completed their 28 day stay and it was pretty good. The class's are full with knowledge and tools and coping skills. Most of the staff have your best interests at heart. The food is good and there is alot. Tvs in your room with Netflix, YouTube, tubi, Pluto. You get your phone 2 hours a day everyday. You can smoke, and chew pretty much whenever you want. The nurses will get your meds squared away without a problem. Your counselor will met with you for one on one's all throughout the week. I want to give a shout out to my counselor Lisa White, she really cared about what I was going through and helped me my whole time there. They also provide places you can go to after you complete the program. They have a detox side you can go to when you first get there if you are coming off hard drugs. They have a full size gym with all the equipment and and outside basketball court, volleyball, football, ping pong, cards, and art supplies. You can order stuff from Amazon like hygiene. You can also order nicotine products if you have cash or card or your people can drop them off. I had a easy great time there. You just got to focus on yourself and not worry about what other people are doing. It's easy to get caught up in what other people are doing and if you are going through anything like that just talk to counselor. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to get there life headed in the right direction. It's a good starting place. They bill your insurance so it's pretty much free, it dont cost any actual money. Thanks so much recovery village I appreciate the help and I am doing good still.

Awesome place to get sober, and they have the support to help u stay sober, Staff was amazing, and it was easy to connect with them as some of them have been thru similar situations as mine. Great structure throughout the whole process, Unfortunately my insurance with the state expired so I had no option but to leave, thankfully I was ready, So just for today im stil sober, with 26 months and four days sober, Thank you WG for yr support.

You guys have been a very important part of my recovery and I must say my experience from the psychiatrist to the therapist and the group facilitator are all wonderful at what they do and I want to move to another state but I don't think I will find the level of care and professionalism I've received at midtown.

I just completed the 28 day program and the staff and everyone there were great people and the food was also very good they are going through allot of remodeling and things we're a little hectic which is understandable but other than that it was a life changing experience

I went there last year in December and it's an amazing rehab the staff listen and make you feel loved it's a great place for recovery
