No treatment facility is perfect, and there are a few things I think could be improved, but overall my experience was very positive. In talking with residents who had been through treatment before and experienced relapses, I repeatedly heard this was the best facility they had been to. After my experience, I understand why. The biggest area for improvement is communication. There can be a lot of redirection between staff when trying to get an answer, and expectations aren't always communicated clearly. When someone is already in a difficult place and there to heal, even small communication issues can become frustrating. For example, there's a sign-up sheet for cleaning the lunch area that I didn't know about until I discovered I was on it. It's no big deal—about 15 minutes with several people—but knowing beforehand would help. Mail is another example: you need to check the office after sessions each day if you're expecting something. Small things, but clearer communication would make the experience easier. A few practical recommendations: bring an inexpensive wristwatch because you won't have your phone and clocks aren't always readily available. If you smoke, you can't bring a lighter, although techs are readily available to light cigarettes. A small, dim flashlight is useful for finding things at night without disturbing roommates. A blanket can also help in a cold room or with getting comfortable in a chair. Where Indiana Center for Recovery really shines is the people and treatment. Syndey, Greg, and Dave are excellent facilitators. Classes cover a wide range of subjects and include traditional groups along with activities such as art and music. I learned a great deal about recovery, myself, and how I look at life. They also offer acupuncture and a variety of other therapeutic activities. The staff deserves a lot of credit. Toni, Justin, Sarah, Carter, the nursing staff, and many others do a great job. The atmosphere among both staff and residents is remarkably nonjudgmental and supportive. Everyone has a story and is working through something. The facility has a gym, arcade, and plenty of outdoor areas for walking or sitting when the weather cooperates. Those things matter when you're temporarily removed from your normal life and routine. Treatment isn't easy. Being away from home, without your phone and outside your normal environment, can be difficult. But Indiana Center for Recovery gives you an opportunity to step outside that environment, learn about yourself, work on what brought you there, and figure out what comes next. I especially appreciate that treatment doesn't feel one-size-fits-all. They continually assess where you are, work closely with you, and help determine appropriate next steps for treatment, sobriety, recovery, or mental-health care. There are communication and organizational details I would improve, but they don't outweigh the quality of the people, treatment, support, and overall experience. For someone who genuinely wants help and is willing to participate in the process, I would absolutely recommend Indiana Center for Recovery. My journey with an eating disorder began when I was just 13 years old, and looking back, it has been a long road. After a health scare in September of 2024 served as a wake-up call, I reached out to a family member who had been down the same path. She recommended a counselor who had also struggled with an eating disorder as a teenager. Initially, I didn't think I had a problem. I was perfectly content with my body size, even though everyone around me kept saying how thin I was. I eventually found a dietitian, and though she and my counselor worked tirelessly with me, I wasn't ready to listen or follow their guidance. Finally, in April of 2025, I realized I needed inpatient help. Because I wanted a faith-based facility, they recommended Selah House. I flew to Anderson, Indiana, incredibly anxious about the unknown. However, the moment I stepped inside the house, I felt at home. The staff welcomed me with open arms and truly understood my journey. The facility itself is beautiful. I especially loved Marcy (who did equine therapy), Jordan (my dietitian), and Amy (my therapist). While there are too many incredible staff members to name, they all made an impact. I even grew to love art therapy! The sessions were incredibly helpful, and I loved that we went on outings and attended church on Sundays. I cannot say enough good things about Selah House, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking healing from an eating disorder. For years, I convinced myself I could manage it on my own or that I wasn’t “sick enough” to need real help. I had tried outpatient and virtual PHP/IOP care, but I wasn’t fully honest in my recovery and continued to hold on to unhealthy patterns. By the beginning of 2026, I realized I couldn’t keep living that way. I was exhausted and stuck, and I finally chose to seek deeper, more intentional help. Coming to Selah changed everything for me. What makes Selah so different is the way they care for the whole person, not just the physical side of recovery, but the emotional and spiritual healing as well. The staff truly see you, meet you where you are, and walk with you through the hardest parts without judgment. I never felt like just another patient, I felt known, supported, and genuinely cared for. During my time here, I began to understand that my worth is not tied to my body. I learned how to challenge the lies I had believed for so long and start accepting truth instead. The integration of faith was especially impactful for me, it helped me see that healing is possible and that I don’t have to do it alone. Recovery hasn’t been perfect or easy, but Selah gave me tools, support, and hope that I didn’t have before. I’ve seen real change in my heart and mindset, and for the first time, I believe freedom is possible. If you are struggling and unsure about getting help, I would truly encourage you to consider Selah. I remember calling in and speaking to the receptionists and how kind and helpful they were. You know when you’re speaking to someone who truly cares and someone just trying to get the process over working their job. I received a call back the next day with a spot open for me. The CEO of the company and now someone I hope I will be I able to keep in touch with for the rest of my life called me and during our conversation I could tell she wanted to help. I had actually been in a crazy situation while on the phone with her and had to call her back I honestly thought I wasn’t going to be able to go after that. Once I called her back she gave me a little tough love and had ARC send me an Uber to pick me up and take me to ARC. Once I got there I stood in the driveway for probably 15-20 minutes until a couple of the guys in treatment came out and welcomed me I still was on my cell trying to set up a uber ride home. They talked me a little closer to the door and a nurse at the facility opened the door and told me to get my ass in there get something to eat and stop wasting time that they were going to take care of me! That’s exactly what they did from the moment I made my first phone call. All of my nerves had settled and I oddly felt right at home. I got something to eat completed my intake and got some rest. During my time there, EVERY SINGLE MEMBER OF THE ARC STAFF WAS CARING AND GENUINELY AMAZING PEOPLE! They made my first experience seem like a vacation! I enjoyed every day of my time there, I couldn’t have imagined a better experience I never felt pressured and the counselors were absolutely wonderful. I made it 14 days and I ended up leaving because I couldn’t control myself and didn’t want to end up ruining any relationships I had made during my time there. I want to go back and hope they will accept me I made a mistake leaving and it’s a result of MY OWN ACTIONS. I still very much need help and regret leaving more than anything once I was able to calm down but I had unfortunately already made my decision to leave. Today is the day after I left and after reflecting I know I made a mistake, I actually done my first review after the first few days I was at the facility and got on their website and seen I was able to edit my review and I just wanted to share my experience in hopes that anyone suffering with addiction or mental health might see this and read this and help them not make the wrong decision like I did. It’s rare to find people that truly care and to have so many in one spot was unbelievable they truly treat you like family and if you ever need somewhere to go I don’t believe there is a better facility in Indiana. Don’t make the same mistake I did and let your emotions control you to where it controls the outcome of your situation. They are so kind and caring and I promise you’ll be sitting in the same position regretting the decision give them a chance and I promise they will guide you in the right direction to change your life! That said…the parking lot is currently giving “extreme sports obstacle course.” The potholes are not subtle. You don’t just park here, you navigate it. If you hear a loud thud on your way in, just know it’s not construction, it’s your suspension filing a complaint. Fix the potholes and this place would be pretty close to perfect. At this graduation, the valedictorian's name was Henry. He read a speech to the members in the audience and after his speech, he read a break up letter to the drug that had him in bondage for so many years. In this letter he reminisced on the good times they experienced, the great times with the women and the important life events he missed while being under the influence of this drug. The saying "all good things, must come to an end" was evident while he read this letter to the crowd. Henry decided that Harbor Light Center was going to be his home to assist him with obtaining and maintaining his sobriety. He thanked the caring and loving staff for they way they made him well welcomed on his first day. The Harbor Light Center is the truly place for New Beginnings, and I was honored to witness that Henry and the rest of his graduating class achieved their New Beginning at The Harbor Light Center. Clearly the more dependent you are before this happens the higher your rate of success. If you are independent and you have to find dependence on other people then you are likely to fail. SteppingStone makes absolutely no sense. They are a profit machine that is supported highly by city and that is why they are at the top of their list. If you are ever in a position where you have to use rehabilitative services I highly recommend that you skip over this option. It’s not easy watching someone you love struggle, but seeing him get the support he needs here brings me some peace. I came here unsure of what to expect with it being my first time anywhere. But the staff was very welcoming and helpful throughout the process. I had to come back a third time do to my own failures but they welcomed me back with open arms and zero judgements! ★★★★★ I would highly recommend Indiana Center for Recovery. No treatment facility is perfect, and there are a few things I think could be improved, but overall my experience was very positive. In talking with residents who had been through treatment before and experienced relapses, I repeatedly heard this was the best facility they had been to. After my experience, I understand why. The biggest area for improvement is communication. There can be a lot of redirection between staff when trying to get an answer, and expectations aren't always communicated clearly. When someone is already in a difficult place and there to heal, even small communication issues can become frustrating. For example, there's a sign-up sheet for cleaning the lunch area that I didn't know about until I discovered I was on it. It's no big deal—about 15 minutes with several people—but knowing beforehand would help. Mail is another example: you need to check the office after sessions each day if you're expecting something. Small things, but clearer communication would make the experience easier. A few practical recommendations: bring an inexpensive wristwatch because you won't have your phone and clocks aren't always readily available. If you smoke, you can't bring a lighter, although techs are readily available to light cigarettes. A small, dim flashlight is useful for finding things at night without disturbing roommates. A blanket can also help in a cold room or with getting comfortable in a chair. Where Indiana Center for Recovery really shines is the people and treatment. Syndey, Greg, and Dave are excellent facilitators. Classes cover a wide range of subjects and include traditional groups along with activities such as art and music. I learned a great deal about recovery, myself, and how I look at life. They also offer acupuncture and a variety of other therapeutic activities. The staff deserves a lot of credit. Toni, Justin, Sarah, Carter, the nursing staff, and many others do a great job. The atmosphere among both staff and residents is remarkably nonjudgmental and supportive. Everyone has a story and is working through something. The facility has a gym, arcade, and plenty of outdoor areas for walking or sitting when the weather cooperates. Those things matter when you're temporarily removed from your normal life and routine. Treatment isn't easy. Being away from home, without your phone and outside your normal environment, can be difficult. But Indiana Center for Recovery gives you an opportunity to step outside that environment, learn about yourself, work on what brought you there, and figure out what comes next. I especially appreciate that treatment doesn't feel one-size-fits-all. They continually assess where you are, work closely with you, and help determine appropriate next steps for treatment, sobriety, recovery, or mental-health care. There are communication and organizational details I would improve, but they don't outweigh the quality of the people, treatment, support, and overall experience. For someone who genuinely wants help and is willing to participate in the process, I would absolutely recommend Indiana Center for Recovery. It earned five stars from me—not because everything is perfect, but because what matters most about the place is very good.

FCRC has been amzing place for recovery. I came here for PHP and IOP and have had great instructors and therapist. Entering rehab for the first time at 67 years of age was terrifying, simply because I didn't know what to expect. My journey with an eating disorder began when I was just 13 years old, and looking back, it has been a long road. After a health scare in September of 2024 served as a wake-up call, I reached out to a family member who had been down the same path. She recommended a counselor who had also struggled with an eating disorder as a teenager. Initially, I didn't think I had a problem. I was perfectly content with my body size, even though everyone around me kept saying how thin I was. I eventually found a dietitian, and though she and my counselor worked tirelessly with me, I wasn't ready to listen or follow their guidance. Finally, in April of 2025, I realized I needed inpatient help. Because I wanted a faith-based facility, they recommended Selah House. I flew to Anderson, Indiana, incredibly anxious about the unknown. However, the moment I stepped inside the house, I felt at home. The staff welcomed me with open arms and truly understood my journey. The facility itself is beautiful. I especially loved Marcy (who did equine therapy), Jordan (my dietitian), and Amy (my therapist). While there are too many incredible staff members to name, they all made an impact. I even grew to love art therapy! The sessions were incredibly helpful, and I loved that we went on outings and attended church on Sundays. I cannot say enough good things about Selah House, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking healing from an eating disorder.

i loved this place out of the rest inpatient/residential places ive done. i was here 2 years ago when i was 14 for my anorexia; and this place truly did help my eating disorder the only main reason to my ed downfall was not having proper treatment when i left so please make sure your child has the proper care before discharging because i myself do not have a second chance with this place for my behavioral issues and being noncompliance at first when i was first there so please take in your chances with this place while you can, this place was the best ive gone to and being there truly did help my eating disorder i love the programming there, the food, and the staff are amazing and will help you with whatever issue you have going on!! just the chapel is homophobic💜!

From a very young age, I battled deep body image issues that led to restricting, purging, and treating my body in ways that were harmful. For years, I convinced myself I could manage it on my own or that I wasn’t “sick enough” to need real help. I had tried outpatient and virtual PHP/IOP care, but I wasn’t fully honest in my recovery and continued to hold on to unhealthy patterns. By the beginning of 2026, I realized I couldn’t keep living that way. I was exhausted and stuck, and I finally chose to seek deeper, more intentional help. Coming to Selah changed everything for me. What makes Selah so different is the way they care for the whole person, not just the physical side of recovery, but the emotional and spiritual healing as well. The staff truly see you, meet you where you are, and walk with you through the hardest parts without judgment. I never felt like just another patient, I felt known, supported, and genuinely cared for. During my time here, I began to understand that my worth is not tied to my body. I learned how to challenge the lies I had believed for so long and start accepting truth instead. The integration of faith was especially impactful for me, it helped me see that healing is possible and that I don’t have to do it alone. Recovery hasn’t been perfect or easy, but Selah gave me tools, support, and hope that I didn’t have before. I’ve seen real change in my heart and mindset, and for the first time, I believe freedom is possible. If you are struggling and unsure about getting help, I would truly encourage you to consider Selah. It has been a life changing experience for me, and I’m incredibly grateful for the role it’s played in my healing journey.

This was the first time I have ever been to a rehab, I wasn’t sure about coming. I remember calling in and speaking to the receptionists and how kind and helpful they were. You know when you’re speaking to someone who truly cares and someone just trying to get the process over working their job. I received a call back the next day with a spot open for me. The CEO of the company and now someone I hope I will be I able to keep in touch with for the rest of my life called me and during our conversation I could tell she wanted to help. I had actually been in a crazy situation while on the phone with her and had to call her back I honestly thought I wasn’t going to be able to go after that. Once I called her back she gave me a little tough love and had ARC send me an Uber to pick me up and take me to ARC. Once I got there I stood in the driveway for probably 15-20 minutes until a couple of the guys in treatment came out and welcomed me I still was on my cell trying to set up a uber ride home. They talked me a little closer to the door and a nurse at the facility opened the door and told me to get my ass in there get something to eat and stop wasting time that they were going to take care of me! That’s exactly what they did from the moment I made my first phone call. All of my nerves had settled and I oddly felt right at home. I got something to eat completed my intake and got some rest. During my time there, EVERY SINGLE MEMBER OF THE ARC STAFF WAS CARING AND GENUINELY AMAZING PEOPLE! They made my first experience seem like a vacation! I enjoyed every day of my time there, I couldn’t have imagined a better experience I never felt pressured and the counselors were absolutely wonderful. I made it 14 days and I ended up leaving because I couldn’t control myself and didn’t want to end up ruining any relationships I had made during my time there. I want to go back and hope they will accept me I made a mistake leaving and it’s a result of MY OWN ACTIONS. I still very much need help and regret leaving more than anything once I was able to calm down but I had unfortunately already made my decision to leave. Today is the day after I left and after reflecting I know I made a mistake, I actually done my first review after the first few days I was at the facility and got on their website and seen I was able to edit my review and I just wanted to share my experience in hopes that anyone suffering with addiction or mental health might see this and read this and help them not make the wrong decision like I did. It’s rare to find people that truly care and to have so many in one spot was unbelievable they truly treat you like family and if you ever need somewhere to go I don’t believe there is a better facility in Indiana. Don’t make the same mistake I did and let your emotions control you to where it controls the outcome of your situation. They are so kind and caring and I promise you’ll be sitting in the same position regretting the decision give them a chance and I promise they will guide you in the right direction to change your life! Thank you so much ARC for the love you showed me even when I was dealing with so much anger and trying to guide me. I apologize for giving up on you and myself. We live and we learn and I’ll keep the wisdom I gained from every one of your staff members and counselors. Thank you for welcoming me the way you did and supporting me even as I was leaving. Im so thankful for everyone and my time there. My first review was two sentences.. I hope anyone reading this understands the magnitude of the situation and how much their staff taught me that will stick with me on my journey for the rest of my life. When I arrived at Tara, I was as low as I had ever been. I couldn’t be more grateful for the decision I made to go there. Every member of the staff truly cared about me and my recovery. It changed my life in the most positive way. The schedule and curriculum required hard work and consistency, but helped me get back into a routine of living. I learned so much about myself, grew my fellowship, and made friendships I see being lifelong. They delt with me all summer. I cant say enough good things but im gonna try. Marci, Becca, Courtney, Rick, and Amy.. thank you so much. I didn't stay sober when I left, but realized alot from certain things I took from group and from my sessions there. I knew when to get therapy this time. I got suicidal. I had a pitty party and tried to drag others into it. The alumni coordinator still answers my call, even if she's in group. It's very humbling because I don't feel like I deserved that. Im learning to not drink, not depend on others to keep me sober. I have to do it myself. And honestly, sober is way better than being in the icu.

I love coming here, it’s the best primary care experience I’ve ever had. I never feel rushed through my appointments, they actually listen to what I have to say and answer any questions I have. I always leave feeling heard and helped. Any time I miss an appointment they get me in the next day or sometimes later that same day, and they’re really understanding when that happens, I’ve never had an issue with scheduling. Honestly, half these reviews are exaggerating OR are describing how things use to be yearsss ago at the clinic.. There are cameras, they have been in place for; a year or so maybe-giveORtake; So outside issues have pretty much subsided. Now, the people sitting in their cars while people "hold their spots" IS something a few certain individuals do, but certainly BHG have been and will be addressing those issues as well from their camera footage.!? And last but not least THEIR ARE 4 NURSES NOW 👏 YAAAYY Usually 4windows open! Barely a wait in the last 2 months at least.

Overall, this place really does a lot right. The staff works hard, things run smoothly and you can tell there are people here who genuinely care about what they’re doing. Huge shoutout to Michelle (aka the real MVP / PD) for keeping things together. It does not go unnoticed. That said…the parking lot is currently giving “extreme sports obstacle course.” The potholes are not subtle. You don’t just park here, you navigate it. If you hear a loud thud on your way in, just know it’s not construction, it’s your suspension filing a complaint. Fix the potholes and this place would be pretty close to perfect. Until then, consider it part of the full experience — just drive in like you value your tires.

Best Recovery Center ive been involved in. The facility is very clean 👌 huge cabins with plenty of space to enjoy your stay. The staff is amazing...being they've all actually been there in one way or another. The program is honest, direct and full of love ❤️. I love RVI. It was my 8th rehab and only 2nd one I completed, the food is good, nurses are amazing and the staff as a whole, actually care. The lodge has an incredible staff of counselors and techs that absolutely cares about your recovery in a woodsy and relaxing environment that has access to a gym and 24 hour availability to people who can help with any issue that you might be having with recovery and access to food 24 hours a day ( so watch the belt line ) . Last month, I had the pleasure of attending Harbor Light IOP's Graduation and I was moved in so many ways I truly felt obligated to write a review about my experience. At this graduation, the valedictorian's name was Henry. He read a speech to the members in the audience and after his speech, he read a break up letter to the drug that had him in bondage for so many years. In this letter he reminisced on the good times they experienced, the great times with the women and the important life events he missed while being under the influence of this drug. The saying "all good things, must come to an end" was evident while he read this letter to the crowd. Henry decided that Harbor Light Center was going to be his home to assist him with obtaining and maintaining his sobriety. He thanked the caring and loving staff for they way they made him well welcomed on his first day. The Harbor Light Center is the truly place for New Beginnings, and I was honored to witness that Henry and the rest of his graduating class achieved their New Beginning at The Harbor Light Center. I had a great experience at Harbor Light Center, Salvation Army. I was so determined that this place would not help me or me turn my life back around but you know what after detox for a week and a couple of weeks after I started to feel normal again I learned that I could not get better in a couple days. HLC changed my life around it’s been going good and strong for 5 years now I feel amazing I want to thank them. The intake staff, was very informative and took care of everything. Once at the facility, Pam Is a godsend. She’ll take care of every need. The groups are a nice size, so you’re able to discuss your issues and the therapist stay on topic. Carmela is amazing! She will work with you, to let you talk about what you’re going through and has so much wisdom it amazes me how she is able to encourage individuals in the group. I think we have one of the best nurse practitioners I’ve ever met, her name is Eve.. She takes the time to get to know you and really cares about how you’re doing and what your needs are. I attended the virtual IOP with Trish and really had a wonderful experience. The content was revenant and thorough and just some worksheets to kill time and take your money. Trish was knowledgeable, kind, and patient without being a pushover. I had been to lots of other places in lots of areas but this IOP experience, I feel, really started me on the road to recovery which I couldn’t even fathom when I started. Thank you so much to the virtual IOP people, especially Trish!

MY NAME IS Ron Hamilton And i have to say these counselors and Staff helped me get over my addiction as of last week I got my 7 month chip for being Drug free And being there for 3 weeks in April I took what my counselors taught me you have to want it and remove your self from people places and things I have to thank Mona , Jeff for believing in me and supporting me and all the counselors and Staff. And awesome thank you to the Chefs and kitchen staff for the awesome meals 5 stars to you all in the kitchen you all made awesome meals and again a big thank you everyone the put up with me in the month of April this year I have been clean living in a sober house in tell city. Wow! I read the last review and I am not surprised in the least! I had an experience with this facility and while the lady was pretty confident that I was going to enroll. I guess you thought I had no other choice. She made it clear that she had control over me and if I was one minute late that would mean that my probation would go on forever and that the facility would profit as much as possible based on any problems getting rides that I don't normally need. Clearly the more dependent you are before this happens the higher your rate of success. If you are independent and you have to find dependence on other people then you are likely to fail. SteppingStone makes absolutely no sense. They are a profit machine that is supported highly by city and that is why they are at the top of their list. If you are ever in a position where you have to use rehabilitative services I highly recommend that you skip over this option. Remember me if you're ever in there and they tell you how big of an addict you are when the truth is you just have a life and you made one mistake.

I’ve been here before with my human! This He’s taking care of his mental health after getting dealt a really bad hand in life. Life hasn’t been kind to him lately, and it shows in the weight he carries every day. Coming back to Brentwood Springs feels like returning to a place that actually gets it. The staff here is compassionate and professional. They create a safe, structured environment where my human can focus on healing. The inpatient and outpatient options give real flexibility, and the therapy groups, medication management, and recreational activities seem to help him start processing things he’s been holding onto for too long. He is involved in the Hope4Hero’s program which helps with Active, Veterans and first responders. This program has been so helpful for him. It’s not easy watching someone you love struggle, but seeing him get the support he needs here brings me some peace. The facility is clean and calm, which makes a big difference when emotions are running high. I appreciate how they treat the whole person—not just the symptoms—and include family/ support system education too. It reminds me that he’s not alone in this, even on the toughest days. If you or someone you care about is facing serious mental health challenges or co-occurring issues, Brentwood Springs is a place worth considering. They’ve helped us and I’m hopeful they’ll help my human find some stability and strength now. Thank you to the team at Brentwood Springs for the care you provide. I had an overall good experience. Clean facility, nice rooms, staff good for the most part. I Had issues with stuff being stolen. Issue with a nurse being unprofessional, but it was taken care of. Bruce the client care coordinator is amazing. He took time after his shift to talk to me and help me during a difficult time.

I’ve been here a couple times now. The first i left early and didn’t get everything i needed, that’s on me. this time has been amazing. the groups are full of great information, the facilitators genuinely care and go out of their way to help, and the client care team is WONDERFUL. Bruce, Liz, Jackie, Brennan, and Robert have done a lot for me to help me better my life and situation at home. If you ever need any kind of help - mental, substance abuse, ANYTHING, this is the place to go. I would send my son here if he ever needed it.

I can't stand the negative reviews. YES I WAS THERE. Six months ago, I almost didn't stay but I did. Such incredible staff and an incredible program. Met some of the greatest people to ever want to change their life around. Residential was amazing. PHP also an incredible program attended both with full support from all staff and peers. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND RECOVERY WORKS TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO BETTER THEMSELVES.
