They accept Medicare, Med | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I understand that an hospital is a place of care and not a hotel. With that being said, when a patient is being admitted for observation it means that they’re not critical. However, not being able to rest is important. Staying in ER for 10 hours from 8:30 am till 5:00 pm without food is ridiculous. I don’t know if am allowed to eat or not? Just trying to be patient because I’m aware of my surroundings. My nurses were very nice and friendly but not apathetic.
I loved the ER doctors. They are thorough, knowledgeable, concerned and compassionate.
The night floor nurse was really really nice and did all she could to accommodate me. However she had been so busy and rushing around that she had an odor that was really unpleasant.
The night CNA I wish I could remember his name, I think Matt? He was very nice and really kind. Oppose to the morning CNA, I tried to give her a compliment on how nice she smelled and she ignored me.
I choose to go to NORTHLAKE Methodist Hospital. I think the care is excellent. I just wish the staff’s demeanor and procedures were a little consistent across the board.
Also the ER room I was in the TV remote volume was broken. I could turn the TV on but had to hold the speaker to my ear to hear it. I thought my neck was going to get a catch in it and I would have to deal with another problem. Cynthia Rideout 1 month ago Professional, knowledgeable, genuine, caring attitude mildred whiteside 2 months ago The labor and delivery department is awesome! I will admit that the reviews did initially make me look into other hospitals to deliver my baby. Those hospitals turned me away when I was clearly in labor. Methodist took me in without hesitation and took very good care of me and my baby. My only complaint is that pain management was kind of slow but I think that was because my original midwife did not put in the orders like she said she would. Milagros W 2 months ago | 3 |

| Gary, Indiana | New Season Treatment Center – Semoran in Gary, Indiana, offers programs for those who are seeking recovery from substance use disorder (SUD). They provide care at varying levels designed to support you wherever you’re at on your journey. We like that they also cover co-occurring mental health concerns as part of their SUD services. You can | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I have been coming to semoran new seasons treatment center for over 6 years and never in any of those 6 years have I ever have my HIPAA violated or have been treated like the staff is better than me, until today. Diane, someone who is supposed to be a 'trusted' counselor, is someone who instead is a power hungry and unsympathetic human. As I'm being called to the window she tried to block me from going to dose and also made some ignorant comments, then went on to tell my counselor to CONTROL HER PATIENTS! Basically because I didn't let her bully me like she does every one else...oh and Diane didn't like that. Even after knowing what a disgusting person she really is after hearing how she talks to and about people, as I am sitting outside where the group was going on (literally before this had even happened) but after I saw how she acted towards me in a hallway full of people, oh and tried to deny my dose. Like what a miserable human. She obviously doesn't like when people stick up for themselves. She was just dragging addicts in that group and it was nauseating. Even after all this happened in the hallway and patients from that group are saying how this counselor acts like she is better than the patients. I sure don't want anyone or anything like that around me and my sobriety! Being in that type of position and treating people in recovery like that is disgusting and you should be ashamed of yourself, Diane. Literally the ONLY negative thing I have to say about Semoran.
Like I said i have been in the program since August 2019 and I have had a very positive experience with everyone else. Regina is so kind and supportive but also very no nonsense. Michelle, the nurse practitioner has a heart of gold and the best sense of humor, she will always have a smile on her face. Dawn is my counselor and she's amazing, she has worked very hard with me and I have came so far in my recovery. I can always depend on her to be honest with me. Steve, you aren't my counselor but you have helped me through a lot too and i am very grateful for you. This program was the best thing that has ever happened to me. You have to be ready to commit yourself to sobriety and really be done for it to truly work for you. And there are some wonderful counselors to help you. Bruce, Makeba, Vic, just to name a few. Even negative things you can try to take away and make something positive from it. This may have started off as sounding like a negative review, but you can't let one rotten apple ruin the bunch. 🙏🏻 Julie Mcardle 5 months ago First time for me to ever receive any help 45 Mariah Battering 6 months ago I attend semeron in Gary Indiana. I've been going there for some years now. It took a long time to really get serious about getting clean. The good thing was they allowed me to make those mistakes with compassion and didn't kick me out for not being clean right away. They allowed me to make that decision for myself. My counselor Diane is so wonderful! She's my counselor and my brothers as well , we both attend. She's so caring and really goes out of her way to be compassionate and really makes an effort to meet you "where you are" , which is rare in a person. She deserves the most credit for any success I've enjoyed . She's a miracle worker . And then there's the nursing staff . They really make the place function . They dispense the medication and evaluate you at the window to make sure everythings is ok with you. Again , great people . They do a lot of the heavy lifting. They deal with a lot and still remain friendly and professional . Regina is the boss. LoL. She runs and sort of coordinates everything that happens at semeron. There isn't anyone who could be better this job. If you let her know you have an issue she's on it . Fast. She's super dedicated to making this experience as easy and beneficial to everyone as possible. If you have a question or a problem or any issue really , she's the one to see. She's the brains of the operation, and she's really really good at it . Even the security is helpful and friendly . They are good at keeping away any riff raff or stopping fights or anything like that. But that isn't a major issue at this place . It's a very professional, very clean , compassionate and it saved my life and my brothers too. I love their groups and classes too. I think that's been another reason I'm clean too. They have so many different forms of rehabilitation and avenues of treatment to choose from, it's easy to find something you'll like . It's a great place that is literally the reason why hundreds of people are alive today. They don't get enough credit. Mitchell M 9 months ago | |

| Located in Chicago, Illinois, the Positive Sobriety Institute is the first addiction treatment center in the US designed exclusively for professionals. They have a thorough knowledge of how high-functioning individuals struggle with addiction and structure their programs around providing discretion as well as highly effective solutions. The institu | Treatments Programs Payment Options | A staff of expert professionals run PSI. They have great insight and know how to get right to where it counts. Definitely the best place together help with addiction in the Chicago area Randall Liss 3 weeks ago Lots to say! I'm a physician, and was at PSI for 8 weeks in early 2025. Their main values are creating a sense of community and belonging, and encouraging self-reflection and self-discovery. I felt they were very trusting, encouraging gradual autonomy in the myriad available directions for assisted and self help, and in other ways like encouraging us to visit home or explore Chicago. While I was stretched financially, they were extremely charitable in ways I didn't expect, deepening my trust that they had my best interests over their financial interests. I know some people have understandable skepticism of rehab facility priorities, but you absolutely will not get ripped off here, and they transparently explained anything I asked about.
They listen intently to feedback, and the hours and expectations are reasonable - if anything lenient to promote independence. The high-rise apartments have beautiful views, great location and amenities, and are clean and well-supplied. They handle Covid and health situations safely, and while I'd prefer no roommate, it does enhance mutual help and community. In fact, I stay in regular touch with people because of it. Chicago's expensive, but this was an investment in my future happiness, purpose, and fitting into the life I want.
The program is well-designed and comprehensive, and I urge taking the customized treatment plan seriously, as it was a massively useful way to tailor various resource exposures to my needs and interests. They encouraged open-minded experimentation with a wide variety of treatment resources, resulting in a diverse toolkit to utilize upon discharge. This helped me handle stress, cravings (which will always pass), and generally be able to quickly reframe my outlook and adapt. Pouring your honest heart into the How It Was assignment is extremely revealing and cathartic, family counseling and resources were a relief, it seems everyone loves the small group sessions in which challenging supportively is favorable, there are several AA alternatives, and PSI was very supportive after I left. My attorney said the letter written for me was the best he'd seen, reflecting the program quality. For those of us who tend to isolate, the treatment community was really lovely, with regular community events for socializing, and open-door access to the various therapists.
I want to especially say that I felt they genuinely cared about and got to know me, which made an enormous difference in my willingness to trust them and buy into the program. They got very excited when I made progress and develop insights, which really helps cultivate a sense of achievement. Special shoutouts to therapists Mike and Tim, but I had excellent, instructive, and helpful interactions with literally everyone working there; they're all great people. They tried hard to set me up for a smooth transition back into my life, and should probably all get raises. Being here helped reorient my life, equipping me with confidence to handle both known and unknown future adversities. I was surprised to cry when I said goodbye, but it was all so therapeutic and helpful that I did. I even feel teary gratitude writing this.
Finally, I'd like to say that we get out of this sort of experience what we put into it, and attitude makes a big difference. If you think you have a problem, then this is a great place to start solving it. If you don't think you have a problem, then any rehab is going to be a pain. I know that acceptance is hard, but we usually land in this situation for an obvious reason. I guess I'd say a seed has to split in order to sprout. While the splitting part isn't always fun, I felt comfortable here to be able to grow, which made me feel proud and capable. Try like hell to avoid regret, cynicism, and distrust, as I've learned and seen in this context it holds us back. Instead, accept and commit, because it will pay off. Don't worry about how long you may be here, and just get everything that you can out of it while you are. Best wishes on your recovery. Doc Ock 4 weeks ago I am writing to express my profound gratitude for the exceptional experience I have had at PSI. This is my second attempt at an intensive outpatient program, and the positive impact of the right program was truly remarkable.
PSI provides personalized support both individually and in group settings, enabling me to gain a comprehensive understanding of my addiction at its core. The individuals I have encountered and the dedicated staff have made a profound and lasting impact on my journey. I deeply regret not discovering this facility sooner.
If you are grappling with addiction, I highly recommend seeking the services of PSI. They are the ideal resource for individuals seeking effective treatment and support.
Once again, I extend my sincere appreciation to everyone who has contributed to my positive experience. David Schatz 1 month ago | 6 6 | |

Although th | Treatments Programs Payment Options | After completing inpatient rehabilitation, I transitioned into the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at Parkdale Center and I can say with my whole heart that it was one of the most life-changing and soul-healing experiences I’ve ever had. Parkdale didn’t just help me continue my recovery, they helped me to continue to find myself again. They believed in me, held space for my pain, and gave me the tools and encouragement to continue to rise stronger than I ever thought possible.
From the leadership to the support staff, everyone at Parkdale exudes compassion, professionalism, and a deep commitment to healing. But what makes Parkdale truly exceptional are people like Rigo and Claudia. They treated me not like a number or a case, but like family. There was zero judgment, only humility, kindness, and an unwavering belief in my potential. Rigo felt like a steady big brother, firm when needed, but always full of heart. Claudia radiates warmth and made me feel safe, seen, and cared for in a way that felt almost sacred. These two, and so many others at Parkdale (like Dr. Chris, Denise, Ty, David) restored my faith in people and reminded me that recovery is possible when you’re surrounded by those who genuinely care.
Parkdale is the best at what they do because they combine clinical excellence with human connection. Their program isn’t just about sobriety, it’s about rebuilding your life with dignity, strength, and purpose. If someone I love ever needed help, Parkdale is the place I would trust.
