When I watched an online video of my son Terrance getting his brains obliterated and having the remaining chunks of his face slamming into the dirt I never thought I'd get over with it. Now I'm not gonna lie, I didn't. I still have nightmares of him asking for help trying to communicate with his face half-missing. But at least thanks to Edgewater Health, Dr. Lipschitz helped me get a bi-weekly supply of Zoloft and Oxycotton. We gettin' LIT. Thank you Terrance for all your help over the years, but your death has semented my life into being bliss, GOD BLESS OPIOIDS!

I have been coming to semoran new seasons treatment center for over 6 years and never in any of those 6 years have I ever have my HIPAA violated or have been treated like the staff is better than me, until today. Diane, someone who is supposed to be a 'trusted' counselor, is someone who instead is a power hungry and unsympathetic human. As I'm being called to the window she tried to block me from going to dose and also made some ignorant comments, then went on to tell my counselor to CONTROL HER PATIENTS! Basically because I didn't let her bully me like she does every one else...oh and Diane didn't like that. Even after knowing what a disgusting person she really is after hearing how she talks to and about people, as I am sitting outside where the group was going on (literally before this had even happened) but after I saw how she acted towards me in a hallway full of people, oh and tried to deny my dose. Like what a miserable human. She obviously doesn't like when people stick up for themselves. She was just dragging addicts in that group and it was nauseating. Even after all this happened in the hallway and patients from that group are saying how this counselor acts like she is better than the patients. I sure don't want anyone or anything like that around me and my sobriety! Being in that type of position and treating people in recovery like that is disgusting and you should be ashamed of yourself, Diane. Literally the ONLY negative thing I have to say about Semoran. Like I said i have been in the program since August 2019 and I have had a very positive experience with everyone else. Regina is so kind and supportive but also very no nonsense. Michelle, the nurse practitioner has a heart of gold and the best sense of humor, she will always have a smile on her face. Dawn is my counselor and she's amazing, she has worked very hard with me and I have came so far in my recovery. I can always depend on her to be honest with me. Steve, you aren't my counselor but you have helped me through a lot too and i am very grateful for you. This program was the best thing that has ever happened to me. You have to be ready to commit yourself to sobriety and really be done for it to truly work for you. And there are some wonderful counselors to help you. Bruce, Makeba, Vic, just to name a few. Even negative things you can try to take away and make something positive from it. This may have started off as sounding like a negative review, but you can't let one rotten apple ruin the bunch. 🙏🏻

PSI saved my life. The people here not only helped me want to live a healthier life, but they also helped me find my voice again. This was my second IOP program and honestly the service and care that I received was on a completely different level. Mike Geraci is one of the best therapists I've ever had the pleasure of working with. PSI and Mike went above and beyond for me and my peers to make sure that we finished the program ready to jump back into our lives. I also spent time and stayed at the sober living apartments through PSI and would highly recommend this choice. The apartment was comfortable and in a great location. PSI was an experience in honesty, structure, and human connection that’s helped me rebuild after years of destructive patterns and self medication. What stays with me most is how powerful it is to be around people who understand what I was dealing with firsthand. The group setting paired with direct medical and emotional support encouraged real change to begin when fear, shame, impulsive behavior, and isolation had taken over. They approach recovery as not just about stopping harmful behavior—it also looks to address anxiety, depression, trauma, distorted thinking, and other underlying mental health struggles through therapy, accountability, education, and consistent support While the focus of the program deals with very heavy topics - the care teams I worked with made me feel heard, comfortable, and safe. As well, they allowed and encouraged me to be my authentic self - helpful, gracious, and kind with the singular purpose of getting me well.

Whether you bring yourself to PSI or you are told you need to go here - no one thinks that rehab is where they will end up and I was no exception. The staff here realize that. My first day walking in the doors and being greeted by Sandy to start the process I felt a sense of welcome, warmth, and understanding. Throughout my time here that feeling never left and was only reenforced by every staff member I interacted with the entire time I was here in treatment. I was assigned Pam as my primary counselor, and I cannot thank this woman enough for all she has done for me. The topics we touched on were so personal and delicate and she was constantly present and engaged for all of it. Her insight, really her intuition, was so genuine and accurate during our sessions it amazed me. If anyone I know is ever struggling with addiction, I would not hesitate to send them here as I know they will get everything they need and more to help them on their journey.

I can't stand the negative reviews. YES I WAS THERE. Six months ago, I almost didn't stay but I did. Such incredible staff and an incredible program. Met some of the greatest people to ever want to change their life around. Residential was amazing. PHP also an incredible program attended both with full support from all staff and peers. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND RECOVERY WORKS TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO BETTER THEMSELVES.

I am so grateful for the entire staff of Heartland. At some of my families toughest moments, they were there to help support in all the ways that they would. I have had the unfortunate need to seek treatment for a family member and this is the place I would always recommend for any family I know. Let me just say I was a patient at Medmark for years and above everything no matter what because they open at 4:45 AM says it all. They generally want to meet everyday people’s needs to live a normal life.In and out the door before 5am to do what you need to do w your life. Try and find another clinic that does that for you. You won’t. Working men and women this your clinic. Just no weed. Sorry.

I do not typically do these reviews however I felt very strongly I needed to. I have been in the program for over 7 years. The program honestly saved my life after trying several other things. My addiction became like most had back problems and my doctors were very free to prescribe the opioids and benzodiazepines. Xanax was actually the worst for me hospitalized for over 10 days due to all the seizures. Anyways the nurses Yolanda Jackie Val are sweethearts and have never judged me once. Yolanda is the one person who always tells me she is proud of me I don’t even hear that from family. Kim who runs front desk is also great. In my experience I have had around 6 counselors and sorry to say this is the downfall here. I don’t know if they are overworked micromanaged or just don’t care but I have had to go elsewhere for my counseling. I have promise for my new counselor April who is new to this location. Since starting she has been on top on my case not letting anything slide. She gets accomplished what the 5 others took months to do and I appreciate that. Non judgmental follow-up and just caring she accomplishes where most can’t and this is what keeps me clean and alive and I thank her for that more than I can say. Doctor is a different story for a different day I will just say to the women ask that a third person be in the room. That’s all!

After completing inpatient rehabilitation, I transitioned into the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at Parkdale Center and I can say with my whole heart that it was one of the most life-changing and soul-healing experiences I’ve ever had. But what makes Parkdale truly exceptional are people like Rigo and Claudia. They treated me not like a number or a case, but like family. There was zero judgment, only humility, kindness, and an unwavering belief in my potential. Rigo felt like a steady big brother, firm when needed, but always full of heart. Claudia radiates warmth and made me feel safe, seen, and cared for in a way that felt almost sacred. Having used their facilities for our Union members and for a family member, the counselors are caring, responsive, and communicate very well on a treatment plan and objectives & goals. Ms Tori awesome!!!!! The group meetings and accountability for each other in treatment works in a great atmosphere. I would strongly recommend this facility if a friend, co-worker, and family members are in need of help with addictions and/or mental health. I’ve never written a review like this before, but Belinda at Regional Health absolutely deserves it. She is, without exaggeration, the sweetest and most genuinely caring person I have ever dealt with at any establishment. I’ve never even met her in person, yet she has treated me with more kindness, consistency, and dedication than most people you meet face-to-face. Belinda goes above and beyond in every way. She helped me find an amazing doctor, made sure my medications were taken care of, and anytime she said she would do something, I knew for a fact it would get done. No doubts. No chasing. No stress. There were days she even made late calls just to make sure everything was handled for me, then followed up to confirm things went smoothly. It’s rare to find someone in healthcare who brings this level of compassion and follow-through. She has made my life a million times easier, and I’m genuinely grateful for her.
