Valley Hope of Moundridge/Wichita changed my life. I have been twice and nothing I have ever done in my life could have been more life changing. The staff including my counselors, chaplains, medical teams, administrative and other staff (to many to mention but equally part of the experience) literally gave me the tools that saved my life. I would highly recommend Valley Hope to anyone that has battled addiction/alcoholism in their life. They will provide the tools to save you, your family and potentially your job and not to mention everyone you encounter in your life. I had to walk through the doors and after that all the necessary tools are not only available but the support level to not give up is without question put together in a way that allowed me to not be in a state of mind that I was at the point of giving up on living. If you or anyone you know needs or considers residential or various levels of out patient help Valley Hope is the best you will ever find. I know that words can't truly express how the entire process that Valley Hope has put together will give you a life that you never dreamed possible as an addict or alcoholic. Once again if you are considering addiction or alcoholism treatment look no further than Valley Hope.

Phill the chaplain is absolutely fantastic! Phill and Makayla case manager are the dynamic duo! My whole experience was amazing from beginning to end, my counselor Denise was also absolutely amazing! From the staff, to the food, everything was unbelievably great! THANK YOU VALLEY HOPE!

This place saved my life. The counselors and staff are amazing especially Dr. Phill and Erika they are 2 of the biggest impacts on my life that I have while I was there. I went into treatment planning to use as soon as I got out and Erika was my counselor and she was able to help me open my eyes and see all the underlying problems and trauma that was causing me to use and feel the way I was, and Dr. Phill teaches in such an amazing manner that everything is absorbed and I stayed completely engaged the entire time. Everyone there is so caring and supportive of you and the residents end up becoming family or atleast the ones I was in there with did for me, we are all still in contact and help eachother stay accountable and help eachother through anything we are going through. So if ur contemplating treatment this place is the best place in Kansas to go oh and the foods good too I never ate a meal I didn't enjoy the entire time I was there.

I cannot speak highly enough about Sunflower Recovery Center and their 90-day treatment program. From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt a genuine sense of care and professionalism. Katie is more than just a director—she’s a passionate advocate for each individual’s recovery journey. Her dedication to the well-being of everyone in the program is clear, and it’s evident that she cares deeply about our success, both during the program and after. I never felt like I was just another client; Katie and her team ensured I had the tools and resources I needed to build a strong foundation for my sobriety. I never felt judged, but instead felt supported and encouraged every step of the way. The holistic approach to healing—addressing mental, emotional, and physical well-being—made all the difference in my recovery. I brought my teenage daughter back in 1997. I was so worried that I was an emotional mess myself, very resentful of addicts in general. It took only a very short time for me to begin to love and understand these people. It was so enlightening and healing. My daughter took ten more years and some hair raising experiences to escape her addiction, but I still give much of the credit to Valley Hope, because what she had learned saved her later. She is doing very well. She’s married with two kids and is successful and respected in her work as a hair stylist. She’s been clean and sober nearly 20 years now.

What a great place and Chris was the best counselor I have ever seen for my son. The Chaplin Jamie needs to quit judging people by their looks or how they dress. Give some grace to these hurting people and quit judging . Be there to encourage and build someone up with Gods love . You are a poor example of a Chaplin. Please read the Bible and apply it from your heart . Other than him a wonderful place for recovery. May God bless all of you who helped my son Payton.

I'm a chronic relapser and have been to Valley Hope several times. My relapses had nothing to do with Valley Hope and the care they provided. It just wasn't my time yet. I love Atchison Valley Hope. The staff are A+. They genuinely care about the patients while there and after their discharge. I get calls from my counselors and case workers periodically just to see how I'm doing. It's more than collecting an insurance check with them. I finally took their advice and went to php and iop, in addition to an addiction counselor. I'm 65 years old and sober for the first time in a very long time. There's no treatment center that's going to keep you sober or drug free. It takes work, but at AVH they will provide a serious reboot for your future. Alec T.

VH has to be one of the top treatment centers in the nation!, I came away as a changed woman. Its much appreciated.I now am a part of instead of a part from. Connectivity is fostered here. I am now connected to my fellow man.

Valley Hope of Atchison will always have a special place in my heart. I can’t say enough about the staff and nurses. They truly helped change my life and helped me become a better person.

Jojo Deck, the alumni coordinator is THE AMAZING. she is fun and vibrant. she has real world experience through addiction and can relate to us. I absolutely love her alumni group and attend if whenever I can.

Current Inpatient resident who would like to say I came with much trepidation and anxiety. All of which I was able to shed easily on account of the staff and friendly fellow residents. Not in any small part because of Kerry (think I spelled that right) in detox, because she is @$$@ ing hilarious, and made me feel a lot better. I mean, guys, it’s rehab.. ;) But this is a very good rehab. Admins listen. EDIT: It took guys.. It really took this time. I shed the $&!t colored goggles. And the world is vivid.. bright.. and while i honestly believed I'd be dead by now... In reality I'm happier than I think I ever have been. I couldn't see it back then.

I was a client At TLC for at least six months and then discharged honestly for me I had a great time I have no idea these parents are talking about the one in the first photo I was there for that kid the only reason why her therapist told her no for the headphones was because they were working on headphones and then when they got unit headphones she refused to use them for the second one a hold is mandatory you cannot blame the staff they're just doing their job and if your child wouldn't have struggled then she wouldn't have so many bruises apologise but I was here for both of these kids both of these kids were in the wrong during their stay because the one that got into the hold tried to fight a staff so of course the staff has to put them in a hold because that's physical aggression and then as soon as the staff tries to put them in the hold she struggles which causes them to hold her tighter and make them stay longer the more she moves the tighter they get the girl that got bullied because of her autism she did not get bullied because of her autism she got bullied because she would cuss people out she would cuss therapist out obviously I had the same therapist so I can put this on put in that therapist was like the best therapist in the world like I have him again before that therapist left he spoke so many good things about your daughter he spoke good about your daughter even though she did so many bad things to him I'm not saying “this is the kids fault” because basically if I'm saying that I would be telling myself that same thing I'm saying that didn't help your kid and that was your objective go to another place I've been to 2 places TLC and pathways send them to another place if they don't do good especially kids in foster care the caseworker is obviously going to send them to another place if they're not doing better after discharge please this place is done so many good things for me I literally struggled in the beginning I got in so many holds in the beginning so many runways in the beginning as time progressed I got better and they finally let me out and I wasn't in a hold for like 3 months

I used to go here when i was 13/14... and for everyone who has had a bad experience placeing there child here just know as for every place it has its good and bad times. I was forchinat enough to be placed here when it had a good staff systume shout out to ,Michaelis, Doug dear, Melissa, mr Tiny, mark and meany more. I also made a tone of friends who i still keep up with to this day aswell. I had the chance learn alot about myself and my problems and left a better kid who was confident and well more behaved and I still use what I learned there to this day and I'm 30. I'm unsure how the place is doing almost 20 years later or who is working there but this place randomly popped up in my my head and i just felt the need to look it up and leave a review.
