Many have found freedom from addiction at | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I cannot speak highly enough about Sunflower Recovery Center and their 90-day treatment program. From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt a genuine sense of care and professionalism. The program is well-structured, with a perfect balance of therapy and support to live a healthy life in recovery. What truly sets Sunflower apart, though, is the incredible leadership of Katie, the Executive Director. Katie is more than just a director she s a passionate advocate for each individual s recovery journey. She takes the time to personally connect with clients, offering encouragement, guidance, and even a listening ear when needed. Her dedication to the well-being of everyone in the program is clear, and it s evident that she cares deeply about our success, both during the program and after. I never felt like I was just another client; Katie and her team ensured I had the tools and resources I needed to build a strong foundation for my sobriety. I never felt judged, but instead felt supported and encouraged every step of the way. The holistic approach to healing addressing mental, emotional, and physical well-being made all the difference in my recovery. Under Katie s guidance, the program is not just a one-size-fits-all approach; it s personalized and thoughtfully crafted to address the specific needs of each individual.I am forever grateful for the entire Sunflower team for helping me take the first steps toward lasting sobriety. Such friendly staff, accommodating even when their hands are tied by arbitrary rules. Starr was always there with a smile and helpful to anyone in need and appreciate that kindness. Nursing staff was very considerate and would print me crosswords to do because it helped with insomnia. Director went out of his way to pick up a deodorant for me from a store on his own time.

This place saved my life. The counselors and staff are amazing especially Dr. Phill and Erika they are 2 of the biggest impacts on my life that I have while I was there. I went into treatment planning to use as soon as I got out and Erika was my counselor and she was able to help me open my eyes and see all the underlying problems and trauma that was causing me to use and feel the way I was, and Dr. Phill teaches in such an amazing manner that everything is absorbed and I stayed completely engaged the entire time. Everyone there is so caring and supportive of you and the residents end up becoming family or atleast the ones I was in there with did for me, we are all still in contact and help eachother stay accountable and help eachother through anything we are going through. So if ur contemplating treatment this place is the best place in Kansas to go oh and the foods good too I never ate a meal I didn't enjoy the entire time I was there.

What can I say about Valley Hope? I was a participant here on March 17, 2021, and I currently work here as a Kansas Centered Peer Mentor (KCPM) and a Person-Centered Case Manager (PCCM). When I came to Valley Hope, I was coming here to get my family off of my back and then go back out there and drink after I had an Intervention. Then, something happened while there; I found hope and serenity and learned to love myself again. After long sessions with my counselor, Ruth Jurgen-Owens, she basically told me to quit smoking and actually give this program a shot and see where you are at the end of the program; if nothing has changed, then I am already going to go out there and use it anyway. Well, after doing everything I asked and giving it 110%, everything started to change immediately, and I noticed a difference in my appearance and attitude. After I completed my treatment at Valley Hope, I did the IOP and the OP on Zoom, which gave me guidance for the real-world situations that I was getting myself into. This also held me accountable for my actions for a bit longer. Now, I am going to school to become a counselor for addiction and mental health to help the next suffering addict or alcoholic.Since I have been working here, I cannot tell you the love that everyone here has, from the Alumni Coordinator Kathryn Reichenberger to the clinical staff, nursing staff, business office, and kitchen staff. I must thank Kathryn Reichenberger for everything you do for our participants after they leave inpatient treatment; you are a genuine and sweet person. Working with you and becoming close friends with you has been an honor. Never change who you are or what you do; you touch everyone you come in contact with. My next person would be my partner in crime, Kassidy, as a case manager; you have helped me out so much by showing me around and teaching me how to do this job. Thank You, Denise, for always having my back and being someone I could vent to when dealing with situations, good or bad. Last but not least, I have to say, Ruth, you will always have a special place heart; you help made me into the person I was always supposed to be and then took a chance on me to come to work for you, and I have to say it been one crazy of a ride but I have loved every second of it and will never forget you and all you have done for me and my family; so thank you to all of Valley Hope and the staff that works there.I wholeheartedly recommend Valley Hope to anyone seeking a new lease on life. The genuine care and support from staff and participants make this place unique. It is a haven where one can find support, compassion, and unwavering encouragement on the journey to recovery and self-discovery.

No place is perfect. I have been going here for 12 months now and I have been clean for 11months. It tooke a month to get off everything, but I have. It's been wonderful, my family is shocked and so happy how well I am doing. My kids are starting to trust me again. Everyone says I am starting to at like the old me that they haven't seen in a long time. I wish someone would have told me about this sooner. I have had some issues with the drug screens coming back positive 3 times when I have been clean and was not using. One of them got dropped because the confirmation came back negative, so that was great but the other 2 was contaminated because I haven't used one thing since 6/19/23.This was hard to deal with because How can u fix a drug screen that comes back dirty when u are clean..so I did lose my take homes for a month which sucked. But you know what It's a hell of a lot better then where I was before. I love who I am now I am working really hard on my recovery and just gotta keep doing the right thing even when things don't go ur way. If you want a change it is so able and this place has really saved my life and my relationship with my kids, and family.

I just graduated from inpatient alcohol treatment at this facility on May 15th 2024. The staff is absolutely phenomenal! Everybody from maintenance up to the director is in active recovery or has been effected by addiction. It's an awesome environment. I currently have 70 days of sobriety and owe all of it to mirrors. There is a reason they are called the dream team, but I may change the staffs name to the miracle team. I'm currently in out patient and it's amazing over there too. The food was great also. Please, if you are looking for help, the Topeka facility is the bees knees. They saved my life.

It works. Finally getting around to sharing but I'm extremely grateful for this place. I'm coming up on 2 years clean from opiates. It was my first ever time in treatment and it stuck.Very well. They set you up to be successful afterwards with doctors appointments and IOP so even though I haven't had much contact with GB themselves since, I've still was able to maintain treatment.Food was AMAZING. I had my own 1-bdr apartment with a kitchenette. The therapy was constant so it kept you busy. All the people were nice and they really seemed to care about what they were doing and being there. The pool table and cereal bar were great amenities too.My only complaint is that I left with a vitamin D deficiency, but it was wintertime in KS so we just couldn't do many outings.
