An incredible facility that’s worth exploring. If you’re at the end of your rope, don’t give up hope and give this place a try! The techs, cooks, and clinicians here are all top-notch. I'm a chronic relapser and have been to Valley Hope several times. My relapses had nothing to do with Valley Hope and the care they provided. It just wasn't my time yet. I love Atchison Valley Hope. The staff are A+. They genuinely care about the patients while there and after their discharge. I get calls from my counselors and case workers periodically just to see how I'm doing. It's more than collecting an insurance check with them. I finally took their advice and went to php and iop, in addition to an addiction counselor. I'm 65 years old and sober for the first time in a very long time. There's no treatment center that's going to keep you sober or drug free. It takes work, but at AVH they will provide a serious reboot for your future.

Salvation Army when I went homeless after the military I didn’t know they had services for veterans like this. The KCVA helped to get into the Salvation Army. I had to stay here due to indifferences at my house. My stay was comfortable and peaceful. The other Veterans are kind. My case worker Irene was very hard on me at first lol! After I was admitted in she was kind and loved all of us. Integration was easy. Irene will help you get more % to help in your case. She is there for you. Use her and let her know how you feel. She has been working there for 15 years (KC,Kansas). What an accomplishment. There are others that work with Irene that are just as important to you.
You have to do chores but they aren’t large duties. Roger will be on you. It’s good to clean your surroundings makes you feel good.
Breakfast isn’t the greatest but, that will change. Yvette serves breakfast she has to have thick skin because she didn’t make the food. She has no control on what is being served. Be nice to her always and your days will go better. Lunch and Dinner are more filling. Blake is one of the cooks trying to make new desserts and new meals. There is a “suggestion box” downstairs so fill it out. They have snack later on in the night. I met Tom from Salvation Army very stand up person he is kind and cordial. They have a gym for basketball and a small workout room.
The Veterans I met are my forever brothers. I will stay in touch after I leave. Thank you Salvation Army for helping me find my way.

Olathe, KS | KIDS TLC – Outpatient Behavioral Health is an outpatient behavioral health clinic in Olathe, Kansas. They provide mental health and behavioral health treatment for children and families. Through this programming, you can expect an intensive outpatient | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I was here from January-2025 to August-2025, honestly it was a good experience, alot of things happend to me that were out of the staffs and in bosses power, as in other clients behavior and such, but unfortunately I did get harrased and assulted by other clients but when i stated that, action was taken immediately, they would separate the client from the other(s), and even though it may have not been far, it was better then being traumatized, these "bad" reviews have too of been caused by bad past staff or a lying child, and I was there as I was 14, I was first on the unit champions& Defenders, but maybe 1 week after, my group switched units with champions (Our sister unit) and we got renamed, but as i stayed kids came, and kids went, but I had a good experience overall, and the meals are okay, I feel like the portions should be increased a little for each unit depending on age group, everyone got the same amount, but alot of kids there would do about anything for extras, even in small amounts, I was one of them sometime but it was always 50/50 whenever I ate, I feel as bedtime is WAY too early for 13+ as its 7:00PM for bedtime, as it is healthy but it was extremely hard for me too get up in the mornings because of the time, the beds are really low on the floor if ur in building 3[unless it has been renovated by now] and in building 7, the beds are a normal height,

I was a client At TLC for at least six months and then discharged honestly for me I had a great time I have no idea these parents are talking about the one in the first photo I was there for that kid the only reason why her therapist told her no for the headphones was because they were working on headphones and then when they got unit headphones she refused to use them for the second one a hold is mandatory you cannot blame the staff they're just doing their job and if your child wouldn't have struggled then she wouldn't have so many bruises apologise but I was here for both of these kids both of these kids were in the wrong during their stay because the one that got into the hold tried to fight a staff so of course the staff has to put them in a hold because that's physical aggression and then as soon as the staff tries to put them in the hold she struggles which causes them to hold her tighter and make them stay longer the more she moves the tighter they get the girl that got bullied because of her autism she did not get bullied because of her autism she got bullied because she would cuss people out she would cuss therapist out obviously I had the same therapist so I can put this on put in that therapist was like the best therapist in the world like I have him again before that therapist left he spoke so many good things about your daughter he spoke good about your daughter even though she did so many bad things to him I'm not saying “this is the kids fault” because basically if I'm saying that I would be telling myself that same thing I'm saying that didn't help your kid and that was your objective go to another place I've been to 2 places TLC and pathways send them to another place if they don't do good especially kids in foster care the caseworker is obviously going to send them to another place if they're not doing better after discharge please this place is done so many good things for me I literally struggled in the beginning I got in so many holds in the beginning so many runways in the beginning as time progressed I got better and they finally let me out and I wasn't in a hold for like 3 months

Due to various health issues from Vietnam the Shawnee VA clinic is one of 2 VA Clinics I use (easier in & out than the big Hospital). My Primary is there and I have used the Shawnee VA clinic since they 1st opened. I started out with Dr Karen Ryan and when she retired a few years later on they moved me to Nurse Practioneer - Anu Ittycheri. Dr Ryan was great and although I was nervous to start with having a NP as my primary ..... Anu has been fantastic (professional, listens to your concerns and never rushes you) . Everyone I have met over there has been polite, efficient & caring like the receptionists Angela and Chaquita; nurses like Gabby and the man that draws blood (George) is so gentle he basically has to tell you its done, cause I seldom feel the needle going in. In brief I would recommend this clinic & staff to anyone.

It was very much a tough love facility, which is the only way to get through to me. I didn't have any problems personally with the staff (other than my big personality clashing with staff's big personalities at times), they were all very nice to me. But they don't take no shit either, so don't pick this place trying to stir up trouble. You will not get along well. The kitchen staff is SO loving, I wish I was able to eat more while I was there!! It always looked so delicious and had huge helpings. I like this facility out of all other 7 times I've been elsewhere, because it is a dual diagnosis. Topeka, KS | Located in Topeka, Kansas, Mirror, Inc.’s Topeka Residential Treatment Program is a drug and alcohol rehab center for adults. They accept most major insurance plans, including Medicaid, and also offer grant funding for people who qualify. Here, they believe | Treatments Programs Payment Options | This is a good option if you need help with addiction recovery. My feedback about the 28 day program is that this is a serious, vigorous road to get better.
Mirror also guides clients on to the next step, which is often an Oxford House or other sober living plan. They'll help with vocational rehab and making contacts in the community-like churches and alumni willing to help.
My counselor Jamie is the best but all the staff are devoted to clients.
The other clients in recovery will be all sorts with different backgrounds. You will make friends with as many or as few sober people as you like! Family and friends visitation is once a week. An optional 2 mile jog and weights are available for exercise. The food is plentiful and you will have a chore. Chores are.loke helping in the kitchen or mopping floors, etc.
Call ahead for a bed as there is sometimes a wait-list.
Don't expect easy and fun, and expect lots of AA/NA meetings. But there's plenty of downtime for TV, reading and an occasional nap.
This and Velejo are probably your best 2 options for addiction recovery in Topeka.

I expected cold halls, awkward silence, and feeling completely alone. Instead, I found people who slowly helped stitch pieces of me back together, sometimes gently, sometimes with tough love, and sometimes while laughing so hard I forgot where I even was for a minute.
This place was equal parts therapy, life lessons, emotional damage repair shop, and accidental comedy show. The staff somehow mastered the art of being strict enough to keep us alive while still making us feel deeply cared for. That takes a special kind of magic.
To the staff: thank you for seeing people instead of problems. Thank you for the hard conversations, the warm smiles, the accountability, the comfort, and the moments that made us feel human again.
To the women there with me: you were some of the strongest people I’ve ever met. Recovery is not pretty every day, but neither is becoming a butterfly, and somehow we were all learning how to grow wings in there.
Sobriety isn’t the end of life, it’s the beginning of finally getting to live it.
Thank you for helping me find pieces of myself again. I walked in terrified, and I walked out hopeful. That is something I will never forget ✨

*I had a friend who also went to pfh to get clean about 7 years ago and the change in this place (from 7 years ago to now) is nothing but amazing!
The staff are ALL caring, loving, people who want nothing but the best for everyone who steps foot inside this building!*
I would suggest before arriving for your stay that you call and verify what items you are able to bring and what items aren't accepted.
Ask about possible medications and scripts your doctor may have you on - they do give some medications and you are even allowed to have some items such as hygiene and OTC meds such as Tylenol.
I'd recommend having some cash or change as well, they have a vending machine you'll get access to.
You might also get to go on a day trip to Walmart, so if you'd like to spend some money at Walmart - you'll need to bring some!
🤍The last thing I can truly suggest is.... arrive with an open mind and an open heart to allow these loving people to help you become a better/healthier version of yourself.
Your loved one deserves their love/help to get clean and live a life they are proud of! Get your loved ones back - get with PFH to secure their bed! It'll be worth it 🫶🏼

I really appreciate the amount of time and effort the counselors and BHTS apply to each individual client!!!! I believe this to be a adequate program if the client is willing to put in as much as the staff do. Thank you PFH :)

There are two levels of treatment that last between 12 and 24 weeks. This outpatient treatment program will help you learn recovery skills and establish a foundation for long ter | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Wichita Detox impressed me with how smoothly everything was organized from start to finish. The moment I arrived, the intake team explained each step clearly and set up a structured schedule that made the whole process feel manageable. Every day had a balanced routine of medical check-ins, therapy sessions, and recovery activities, all timed perfectly so nothing ever felt rushed or confusing. The staff worked together effortlessly — nurses handled the medical side with care, while the counselors guided me through emotional work with patience and clarity. Even small details like meal times and quiet hours were planned thoughtfully. The clean, calm environment made it easy to focus on getting better. Wichita Detox runs like a truly professional, well-coordinated center where every part of the program supports real recovery.

Man, Wichita Detox was just what I needed. I came in broken, sick, and honestly scared outta my mind. But from the first night, they took care of me like I mattered . The detox part wasn’t easy, but they made sure I was safe and looked after. The staff here don’t judge you. They get it. Real talk, they helped me believe in myself again 🙏. If you’re tryin’ to get clean and want folks who actually care, this is it .

Wichita Detox felt like the reset button I didn’t know I needed. The whole vibe there was calm but no-nonsense — they didn’t sugarcoat things, but they weren’t harsh either. The detox part was rough (obviously), but the staff kept it manageable and kept checking on me like clockwork. What hit different was how real they were. No judgment, just help. They got routines in place that keep your mind busy and off cravings, and honestly, I left there clearer than I’d been in years. If you’re ready to shake off the mess and start over, they’re solid.
