Salvation Army when I went homeless after the military I didn t know they had services for veterans like this. The KCVA helped to get into the Salvation Army. I had to stay here due to indifferences at my house. My stay was comfortable and peaceful. The other Veterans are kind. My case worker Irene was very hard on me at first lol! After I was admitted in she was kind and loved all of us. Integration was easy. Irene will help you get more % to help in your case. She is there for you. Use her and let her know how you feel. She has been working there for 15 years (KC,Kansas). What an accomplishment. There are others that work with Irene that are just as important to you.You have to do chores but they aren t large duties. Roger will be on you. It s good to clean your surroundings makes you feel good.Breakfast isn t the greatest but, that will change. Yvette serves breakfast she has to have thick skin because she didn t make the food. She has no control on what is being served. Be nice to her always and your days will go better. Lunch and Dinner are more filling. Blake is one of the cooks trying to make new desserts and new meals. There is a suggestion box downstairs so fill it out. They have snack later on in the night. I met Tom from Salvation Army very stand up person he is kind and cordial. They have a gym for basketball and a small workout room.The Veterans I met are my forever brothers. I will stay in touch after I leave. Thank you Salvation Army for helping me find my way.

Font desk staff wasn't very friendly or welcoming. However the training female and male nurse that took vitals and checked me in were very nice. Made me feel comfortable answering questions. I've always had a pleasant experience at the University of Kansas K.U. My Doctors, Nurses, lab technicians ect.. are always friendly and professional. And to top it off, the gift shop had "Zots" a candy from my teens in the '90s. I've been trying to explain those damn things to everyone I know for years!

good experice just wish they let me stay longer and didnt depend on the parent more so me the patient because they let me go just because my parents lied and said they would do family therapy which they had no interest in at all. next time I hope you guys focus on what the patient needs not what their parents say because i know for a fact they lied to my doctors just to release me. now I'm still struggling and my parents are not helping at all i am 17 years old now I was 15 when I went and I wish you kept me longer. It sucks that every night i went i had to call my parents an every time i did it made me have a mental breakdown because how toxic they were when i went. Who says to their child that everything gonna change when I get home? That's a fucked up thing to say to someone who struggles because of her home life. I'm glad the third night I stopped calling my parents and it helped me feel less stressed I wish i was their longer i was not ready to leave

Current Inpatient resident who would like to say I came with much trepidation and anxiety. All of which I was able to shed easily on account of the staff and friendly fellow residents. Not in any small part because of Kerry (think I spelled that right) in detox, because she is @$$@ ing hilarious, and made me feel a lot better. I mean, guys, it s rehab.. ;) But this is a very good rehab. Admins listen.EDIT: It took guys.. It really took this time. I shed the $&!t colored goggles. And the world is vivid.. bright.. and while i honestly believed I'd be dead by now... In reality I'm happier than I think I ever have been. I couldn't see it back then.

I have been to numerous treatment facilities, including The Welcome House, ACT, Mirrors, Therapeutic Community, Intensive outpatient treatment (at numerous locations) and Midwest Recovery Centers has been the only one that I've actually enjoyed and feel like I left a different person. It may be a bit expensive but the experience was worth every penny. Great programs they have here at common ground Excellent program for older adults. My brother has been going to common ground for 30 plus years. He has outlasted plenty of staff members. The clients are each other s family members.

Ashley colt is amazing but I wasn t a fan of my therapists changing every few months. Therapy is a no go here but my psychiatrist is thoughtful and caring.

I used to go here when i was 13/14... and for everyone who has had a bad experience placeing there child here just know as for every place it has its good and bad times. I was forchinat enough to be placed here when it had a good staff systume shout out to ,Michaelis, Doug dear, Melissa, mr Tiny, mark and meany more. I also made a tone of friends who i still keep up with to this day aswell. I had the chance learn alot about myself and my problems and left a better kid who was confident and well more behaved and I still use what I learned there to this day and I'm 30. I'm unsure how the place is doing almost 20 years later or who is working there but this place randomly popped up in my my head and i just felt the need to look it up and leave a review. Hello everyone if your still there. Say hi lol
