This place is amazing. The staff is beyond incredible. They make you feel like family. They truly care for you. I stayed for 95 days. Best thing I ever did. Oh and you eat like a king lol some of the best food ever and the bakery is out of this world. In all seriousness this place is an amazing place to get help. I felt welcomed by all the other guests as well. Everyone is there for the same reason so its very easy to get along and you build a family forever . I've been out for over 6 months now and I still talk to at least 15 of the guys. Highly recommend. In fact I have already recommend it to a few people. And i met some people here in bennington vt where I go to AA that went to h.w back in the day. Can't wait to go back for a prime rib dinner soon..

I am a two time alum of High Watch and I owe the place so much. The first time I went in July 2023 was the first time I ever tried to get sober - I was terrified to enter treatment, didn t want the help, was angry and frankly wasn t ready to get sober. High Watch nonetheless showed me so much love, support and encouragement during my 28 day stay, and in the months following my discharge. They met me where I was and didn t give up trying to help me. This stay at High Watch was the first time in my life I felt like I belonged somewhere.I came back 6 months later in February 2024 and this time stayed for 4.5 months - completed the regular 28 day program and also the 3 month extended guest program. I am still sober today. If it hadn t been for my extremely positive experience during round 1, I would never have returned. The staff at High Watch genuinely care about every single guest there, the therapists and group sessions are great, and the campus is beautiful. There are quite a lot of rules / a rigid daily schedule, which was sometimes tough but for me I needed this kind of structure. What s also cool is that so many (I think the majority) of staff members are in recovery themselves and many have gone through High Watch so they get what it s like to be in treatment and how hard it is, especially at the beginning. High Watch also helps set you up with plans after your discharge and have great connections with sober livings and IOPs to help with your aftercare plans. For what it s worth, the food is also amazing

My experience with Turnbridge was excellent. My 15 year old son first entered Woodbury and then the extensive care program in New Haven. In 6 months of rehab at Turnbridge they did a great job and today my son is with me in Argentina already returning to High School and continuing rehab with Argentine addiction specialists. I want to highlight 3 people, who in the order I mention them were very important for the emotional support and understanding of the situation I was going through. They are: Mark Adamski, Noah Richmond, Justin Alter. Very grateful

We are so thankful to Turnbridge for helping to heal our family. Each member of our son s team was caring, supportive and compassionate. The parent support groups led by Lauren were a lifeline for us and got us through unimaginable pain. To know we weren t alone and that there was hope was an incredible blessing.

I was here from 1992-1994, wellspring made me feel safe and cared for, my therapist Joe B was amazing, so caring and understanding, and the staff specifically Heather and Andy were like role models for many of us...I learned so much here, how to care for animals, and garden. We went on trips, Cape Cod being my favorite and did things I never would have been able to do if it wasn't for Wellspring. As well as forming lasting friendships ...Thank you for giving the tools I needed to be the person I am today. You all are amazing ❤️

This place (The staff, their modalities, the location) Saved my life. The only reason I have contact w my family is because they focused on the holistic approach. Seeing the low reviews breaks my heart. I hesitate in breaking my anonymity and protected healthcare information from when I was a teenager. A lot of people who had good results maybe don’t wanna put their name out there for a good review because they’ve gone on to bigger and better things because of Wellspring. They Deal w Trauma and complex family dynamics. They also do their best to get us kids off drugs.

I was a resident in 1992 to 1994. Wellspring helped me tremendously. Especially the Adventure Program where we would go on hikes. I found a love of nature and friendships for a lifetime. The current director, Dan Murray was my therapist and he was so gentle and caring. He cared a great deal about all of his patients. Many of us are still friends and remember him so fondly. I also went on to Angelus House at 18 and finished my senior year of high school at the local public high school. The transition helped me gain confidence and lifelong friendships from there as well. Thank you for the lessons. Many sunk in much later in life, but you helped plant the seeds.

This experience can be scary and hard to navigate without knowing what to expect in an environment full of strangers discussing your private life. But I have to say I ve been attending classes for about 5 months now. And since my initial evaluation with Milissa Flores, one of the lead counselors, she immediately made me feel comfortable and accepted. Walked me through every step of what to expect in classes and from the program as a whole. She makes each person feel welcome and especially as a female in some classes full of men, opens her door to make you feel safe to come to her with any concerns or issues. She leads her groups with an honest open approach, where you can talk about anything - judgment free, while learning the skills needed to move forward coping with triggers and stress without the means of alcohol as a solution. She really gives every person the opportunity to speak at their pace and not push them to feel forced. I can t say the same for every counselor there, or other programs. I m truly thankful for the ease she has made me and others feel, and her help in my continued path of sobriety. She really goes above and beyond always with a smile and positive energy!

I had an amazing experience at Newport ct . I was at double hill the residential for two months . Through out my time I made a lot of progress. I have to thank the cc s that were there while I was! I felt like I was impacted the most with the conversations I have with care coordinators, and also fellow clients . I learned many coupling skills and experienced full support for the first time in my life . While my stay at Newport was great there were ups and downs. Healing comes in waves. Or as they say at Newport healing is not linear!

We had to send my daughter to Newport after it was recommended by an acute place that she needed residential and longer treatment than acute care. I didn t have the best impression when I first contacted them. I was mislead and thought I could pay a certain amount to send her closest to us in the Charlotte location but turned out that was not accurate and had to send her to the Connecticut location. Then reading the Google reviews scared us. That s why I wanted to share my experience. My daughter was in the dragonfly group. Everyone was truly amazing. Alexa was always in constant communication with us. She was our family therapist and dealt with all our concerns. She was always there for us when we needed her. Her teacher Tea was in constant communication with my daughter s school and us. My daughter clicked with her personal therapist Amy which helped my daughter a lot. Lisa her roomSupervisor was great with dealing with issues. She got sick a few times and was well taken care of. This place never made my daughter feelinstitutionalized. She enjoyed her MMA and equine therapy. They took them offsite for allDifferent activities including church. When it snowed they went outside and went sledding and snowball fights. All the assistants and aids were so friendly and caring. My daughter truly loved being at Newport and because of them my daughter is on a good healing path. I felt so comfortable with her being so far away. I would highly recommend this place to someone with a child that needed help.

After years of trying everything we could think of, my wife and I finally found Westport House. Our son was admitted quickly and efficiently, and, from that point on, our experience was incredible. After a couple of months we saw a noticeable change in our son. The staff was very timely in their correspondence with us and always treated us appropriately. During his time there, our son became actively involved in Alcoholics Anonymous, obtained employment, and began treating us and others with a level of respect we did not know he was capable of. He stayed there for 7 months, and I can say, it was very much worth every penny. Our son is still sober today and continues to attend the AA meetings that he went to during his time at Westport House. We cannot thank Westport House enough for giving us our son back. After 7 painful years, the change that he was able to make in his life is incredible, and it is all thanks to the great staff and services at Westport House.

The atmosphere is relaxed, comfortable, and the incredibly supportive! Being able to see their therapists and clinical team was also essential in aiding my recovery. It was great until all the hiring freezes, then they expect veterans to get treated via referral in the community, which could be done better if the VA shared information with them. The care is amazing when they are not overworked and understaffed. They need more specialists and less bureaucratic paper pushers. Also the cafeteria food went downhill and isn't good enough to be charging $9/$10 for a turkey sandwich on white bread or two pieces of fish the size of my thumb. No one really likes that dry ass food anyway unless they are desperate.

MCCA mcdonough was my 4th rehab and probably my last chance to get sober. It was the best place for me to come to in the state I was in and honestly Jenni, Heather, and Michelle are THE best counselors I ve ever met and worked with out of all the rehabs I ve been to. They believed in me when I didn t believe in myself. And they all go above and beyond to help any client with whatever they can. They are the reason I have remained so connected to the program, as well as helping me get back on my feet and in sober living and building a community and network in recovery. I have seen some positive reviews here but I ve also seen some negative, and it s a shame those people didn t have the experience I did because these counselors not only saved my life but they have changed it and me for the better. I don t know where I would be right now without their help, guidance, and assistance, and I fully plan on doing everything in my power to stay clean so I can come back one day, share my story for their groups to show that recovery is possible, the program works, and if you allow these amazingly generous women to help you that you too can have a life beyond your wildest dreams.

Just want to say that I'm extremely grateful for mcca and all the ways that the staff members helped me out. So grateful to have my life back, free from the bondage of alcohol, and drugs. But a special shout out to Heather she is the best counselor I could have even imagined, Heather has such a special place in my heart and has motivated me in not just my recovery but also In my life. she is viciously determined to get her clients on the right path and all the people she comes into contact with. I have never seen a one woman army untill I met Heather. She truly is a leader. With great social skills .Heather will sit down in the middle of any day at any time no matter how busy she is ,and make you feel like your the only person in the world. I owe my recovery every ounce of effort due to the love this woman has poured into me and my life. Tomorrow I will wake up , and be two months clean!!! In a new town ,with two jobs, my rent paid up ,and Love In my heart again not just for myself but also for other because of Heather alone.heather is definitely #1 in my book.

IOL has been there for me when I was at rock bottom. My first time there in December 2023 was ok, the staff was kind except for one tech from the adult unit... When I went back last December, I ended up staying for Christmas, and the staff did their best to make us happy with gifts, games, etc. I stayed for almost a month and started becoming myself again with help from my favourite tech and my favorite nurses. This was the first place that actually treated me like a human being while being in a psych facility. Most of the staff were still there from the first time and they had a better understanding with what was going on. I was so happy they remembered what had helped me last time.

The Institute of Living's Intensive Out Patient (IOP) program is outstanding. Very qualified and caring staff with expertise in my, and many other specific needs. Evidence based treatment approaches, cognitive and dialectical behavior therapy, individualized treatment plans, a safe and supportive environment, a thorough intake process and the ability to address co-occurring conditions, different levels of care and substance abusive. Quality therapy sessions like coping skills, self esteem, family issues, stress management, etc. IOL is an outstanding 200 year old institution with a seller reputation.

The BEST day treatment experience I’ve ever had!!! I’m in my 50’s and I’ve dealt with depression since I was 13. I have tried many different places for my depression and ptsd and they are the BEST!!! It is very possible that the negative reviews might be from court ordered people. Give the place a chance. I swear by the day treatment! Tracey Garbarino who runs it, she has dedicated her life to help others and she has made sure they have the absolute BEST to treat you!!! I had an Excellent, Excellent Clinician named Trista. I had groups with all the other clinicians as well. All the staff there are Truly Amazing! Life will get better for you if you go there! I really hope you feel better!!!

I just spent a week in the detox center in North Stonington and I can't possibly express how amazing my experience was. I was broken, beat down and withdrawing from alchohol so badly. The staff was amazing, supportive and kind from beginning to end. Even the food was top notch (I've been to a few others that "food" was a loose term at best) For the first time in many years I really feel like I have hope to stay sober this time for good. I start their IOP program tomorrow morning and I'm looking forward to a life worth living without booze once and for all. Thank you all so much for being there to help us at our worst and to show us WE CAN RECOVER 🤘🤘🤘

I never imagine I d find myself at the Derby Mcca, but I m so glad I did. Despite my initial anxiety, I was met with an incredible level of care and understanding from everyone I encountered. From the warm smile at the front desk to the helpful quest staff and, most importantly, my counselor, the experience exceeded all my expectations. My counselor was not only knowledgeable, but also exceptionally kind, compassionate, and nonjudgmental. She made a stressful process much easier by working around my busy schedule, going above and beyond to ensure our sessions fit into my life. The team at Mcca creates an environment where you feel supported, valued, and never judged. Their hard work and empathy make all the difference during trying times. Thank you, Mcca , for everything you do - your dedication truly changes lives.

I feel compelled to write a review in defense of this place because I was scrolling through the reviews and I don't understand why BHcare got any negative reviews. The negative reviews that I've read are ridiculous, nonsensical, and seem to be coming from people who have problems on THEIR end, not BHcare's end. Their IOP program is great. The counselors know what they are doing. They're very knowledgeable, capable, compassionate, and helpful. The psychiatrist is fantastic. He's very thorough and he calls in your meds right away. I had an issue with my meds last month. The pharmacy told me I needed prior approval for a med that I've been taking for months and I've never needed prior approval. I called BHcare to figure out what was going on. They called the pharmacy right away and resolved the issue so I could get my meds that same day. The evening relapse prevention program is great. The nursing department is lovely. They really care and attend to all your needs. My therapist and I meet virtually which is awesome because I don't have a car. If you've got a problem with this place, the problem is YOU and you're taking it out on BHcare. Anyone in my group that's had any sort of issue with the facility usually stems from something going on with their own insurance or a lack of communication on the clients end Not BHcare's end. Don't listen to the negative reviews. Some of these people lack the mental capacity to communicate properly. They deflect the blame and blame BHcare for their own problems. Typical addict behavior. Take accountability for your own issues. This place is fine. Nothing is wrong with it. You'll get great care here, don't worry about it.
