I have been to Hospital for Special Care before For therapy. I went for A wheelchair evaluation. I was very pleased with Gretchen and my rep from NSM Ed Bonk. I finally after three years we’ll get the adjustments that I need. And modifications. Gretchen explains things very well my brother asked questions. She answered. It’s a step in the right direction looking forward to spring so then I can come in for occupational therapy and physical therapy. I would highly recommend Hospital for Special Care

These more recent reviews are really bothersome. But I think I know why. Look, in early 2015, this place literally saved my life. I just completely cracked in half one day, mentally, and was on the verge of suicide. I missed ten weeks of work on FMLA. But between intensive outpatient work, medication management, and solid follow-up, I returned to a normal life in a few months. That said: the four or five key people in my recovery (Social workers, psych PA, MD, prescription manager etc) no longer work there. They dropped like flies, one-by-one, all going to other practices, one as far as Florida. Granted the information I have is anecdotal, but the turnover here since, let's say 2018, has probably made things worse. And then the pandemic made healthcare in America worse as a whole because it exposed us as a nation of 330 million narcissists, half of whom can't heed simple medical advice. So I think things have changed here. That's too bad. But a decade ago, I was downright eager to come here...

Review for Evita, Medical Assistant I recently had to undergo a procedure for an extremely painful ingrown toenail, and I truly don’t know how I would have gotten through it without the incredible support of Evita, the medical assistant. From the moment I walked into the room, she had this calming, compassionate presence that immediately made me feel more at ease, even though I was dreading the pain. Evita didn’t just go through the motions—she genuinely cared. She never made me feel like a burden or an inconvenience, even when I was clearly anxious and uncomfortable. Her kindness and calm demeanor were exactly what I needed in that moment. She kept checking on me, spoke to me with such empathy, and maintained a positive energy throughout the entire procedure. What stood out even more was how she went above and beyond by helping distract my baby, who was starting to get fussy while the podiatrist worked on my foot. As a mom, that kind of help meant the world to me. It’s not easy to manage pain and a little one at the same time, but Evita made it feel manageable. She was an absolute light in a tough moment. Also have to add that the podiatrist Sajjid was very knowledgeable and informed me on what to expect from the very beginning. I would recommend Sajjid to anyone looking for a good Podiatrist. She is a sweetheart and actually shows true passion for her career.

Rushford Glastonbury truly has something special going with their evening IOP program. Everyone I have had the pleasure of working with has gone the extra mile to help me in my journey. I was here May 7, 2021-June 12, 2021. Great, caring staff who went above and beyond for the clients. They encouraged clients to participate in group etc but did not force anything on anyone. The staff was truly amazing and wanted to see clients do better for themselves. I was kept busy and felt that my voice was heard and my needs were met. My counselor was Seva and she was THE BEST! October 2025 - At Ivy's Brewed Awakenings, my comments are similar to my last review. Eating for the first time in the early afternoon, I enjoyed their egg, sausage and cheese sandwich on an English muffin. Their baked goods are so delicious, we saw one worker bring four danishes stacked on top of each other all smiles heading back to his work area. Only two muffins were left when we got there, and my family member bought both with a small coffee. # June 2025 - Returning for a follow-up appointment, we looked forward to going to Ivy's Brewed Awakenings coffee shop on the first floor again. They serve breakfast all day and I hadn't eaten yet around 2:00, so I ordered an egg sandwich with bacon and cheese on an English muffin with no butter. My family member looked forward to having one of their muffins again with a medium coffee. She had the cinnamon and took two to-go. We sat at a table for two. The egg sandwich was very good. Plenty of crispy, warm bacon, lightly toasted muffin, and wrapped in foil in a cardboard box. I heard someone else order their chicken sandwich and another order their chicken salad with pecans. I'll try lunch next time. # A member of my family started going here to see a new doctor. He gives her very thorough exams and care. The lobby has good security where anyone coming in has to check in and get a pass. Decent amount of parking. I wanted to review the coffee shop in the lobby for visitors and staff, "Ivy's Brewed Awakenings," and tried to add it as a place as a local guide, but Google Maps couldn't confirm it and rejected my request. So, here are some photos of the eatery's seating and menus, plus a shot of two of the three breakfast muffins we bought, pistachio, and blueberry. We split the cinnamon one, which was unbelievably good. Only Starbucks coffee is sold here, and Ivy's makes it in every way, from lattes to cappuccino or just plain coffee, which we had and enjoyed. Both breakfast and lunch food are made here.
