New Growth was very helpful in more aspects than I would have expected. They not only provide a beautiful environment for recovery groups, they helped me find stable sober housing and were very supportive in my employment search. If you are looking for a great place with great people New Growth is the place. (I promise they didn't pay me for this) I just really had a great experience. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a safe place to learn coping mechanisms, as well as other recovery skills with a wonderful view.

I’ve had a very positive experience with this clinic. From the beginning, the staff made me feel welcomed, respected, and supported in my recovery journey. The counselors are compassionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely care about your well-being. They take the time to listen and tailor the sessions to your needs rather than just following a script. The medication-assisted treatment has been life-changing for me. The medical staff is attentive and explains everything clearly, making sure I always felt informed and comfortable with my treatment plan. Appointments are well-organized, and I rarely had to wait long. Communication was smooth, and I always felt like I could ask questions or express concerns without judgment. I’m truly grateful for the care I’ve received here. If you or someone you love is struggling and looking for help, I highly recommend this clinic. They offer real support, not just treatment.

Carlson was the right place at the right time for me to bring a friend of mine who had finally decided to detox and go into an aftercare program, from addiction. The place was well organized, seemed to be run well and plenty of patient supervision, from the point that my friend made it through the complete admission process, she was able to reach out to myself and her sister, and her mother, and then transition to the Hope house in Springfield. I strongly encourage anyone battling with addiction and / or dual diagnosis as well, to call Carlson for bed availability and go through the program. A lot has changed in this field over the past five years, but most notably over the past two years, and there is help and there is hope, if you know somebody who’s struggling out there, they are somebody’s daughter they are somebody’s son. They could also be somebody’s spouse and they could also be somebody’s parent as well, try to do what you can to help them as long as it’s within your cable tow. God bless.

I think the Carlson center was awesome. They medicate you so you are really comfortable. Their food is incredible and you can get seconds too which is helpful when you are starving and coming off alcohol. Every time I relapsed I went there because I knew they would give me another chance. You should go to groups but yes you can sleep if you’re tired. I remember the first time I went there. I was in serious alcohol withdrawal. I had the best sleep after being medicated. Their staff is great too. They saved my life. They wake you up for vitals early but you may need medication. They have punch in the tv room which I drank like no tomorrow. Snacks too. I’ve been there like 7 times and they always treat me great. I wish I could say my name but can’t. You will always get a second chance there

I would absolutely recommend Compass/ Feeding Hills to anyone wishing to quickly attack the problem at hand. IOP(Eleven weeks of 3x a week centered on group therapy )is not fun but necessary- the patient needs to want to work. 12 step attendance is encouraged but not pushed like a suppository- the counselors Joe and Mike do a great job presenting as educators, not dictator-pontificators. There are no saunas or massages to be had- this is a meat and potatoes place to do what needs to be done.

Compass provided me with the exact structure and connection I needed after sliding into regular substance abuse. The clinicians are supportive, non-judgmental, and help you stay on track with goal-setting. The team fosters a safe environment where you can be you and feel “a part of.” The community feels like a forever family that you can always fall back on, no matter how many times you fall or how you find your path of recovery. I’m forever grateful for the opportunity I had, and will continue to have, to grow along side the Compass team and community.

I had a relapse in 2007, but I got right back up and owned it and moved on. Been sober since. I learned so much about myself. It’s meant to be hard. In hindsight, it was life training. It taught me how to be accountable. For everything. Nothing beats laying my head down at night with a clean conscious. I got married. Bought a house. Had a child. I love being a father. This full service facility has mental health services for children, youth, and adults. They also have a geriatric care program.
I am very disappointed with this clinic. I have been visiting for 15 years and I am a patient and the treatment of patients is getting worse. From the moment you walk into reception to give your information, they treat you badly, they open their mouths and they no longer treat you kindly. Everyone knows your information. Why do you have to raise your voice because they are all talking about each other's lives? It is very disappointing. God willing, read this message so that you can go investigate that clinic. Thank you.

I have had a very good experience with CSO.. I have had alot of experience with them over the last few years.. I have been in more than 5 group therapies through them, I have my individual therapist and psychiatrist through them as well.. It is important that I express; Absolutely everyone I have spoken to or worked with has been wonderful.. I have never once had a bad experience with CSO, and I have met some truly wonderful people through them.. They have all been very sweet, caring and helpful every step of the way. I have recommended them to others, who have also gone on to enjoy working with them.. CSO in Springfield Ma has made a big difference in my life, and I have nothing but Love for them ❤️ 🍀Courtney

I have dealt with the CSO Program of 1 Federal Street Building 102 Springfield, Massachusetts 01109. When in this program I was placed with 2 different roommates per the program. The first roommate was a decent human being but the 2nd was a nightmare. The woman was moved from 3 previous residences due to not being able to get along with the other tenants. The Collage Street in Springfield, MA. was her 4th and final move. I was attacked twice by this woman and the CSO Program, Springfield Police Officers, and The District Attorney none of them listened or attempted to help or deal with the issues that were happening. On April 8th, 2021 I was diagnosed with incurable Multiple Sclerosis and there are 3 metal pins in my right hip and 1 metal pin in my left hip. The metal pins in my hips give me the ability to walk. Both the program and my attacker were aware of this but she still attacked me anyway. I have lost my job of almost 10 years, the ability to financially support myself, become homeless again, and have a criminal record which prevents stable housing. Due to my Multiple Sclerosis I am unsure if I will ever be able to work again. I am warning anyone that is thinking about letting CSO Program lie to you and tell you they want to help you or assist you to get back on your feet. I trusted these people that call themselves counselors but they are far from that.
