Went through the residential 28 day program in Ruston last year, had a great experience, my counselor, Nate, was absolutely great and helped me tremendously to see my character flaws and issues which kept me in my addiction. It really helped pave the way on the road of recovery I've been on for almost 14 months! Also the food was deliciously good, feed me as well as my own grandmother would! Highly recommend Lincoln Nova if you are serious about changing your life. After graduating inpatient, I started the intensive outpatient program in Shreveport, my counselor, Layne, is very educated and knowledgeable about addiction and recovery! The entire staff at inpatient and intensive outpatient will do their best to help you if you are serious about your recovery!! They have been a great blessing in my life and I'm extremely grateful to have gone through the program!

This place saved my life and the food was good. I had an amazing counselor Nate, and Morgan helped a lot too. The techs, the nurses, everyone were amazing. And Jennifer, the Marketer did everything she could to get me in. Hands down, the best place to go for treatment

The counselors do follow up. Oh and my name is Debbie Food, snacks and the washer and dryers provided. Definitely not home, but, protection and guidance provided. I was not and am not comfortable with groups so going out to AA meetings was not for me. My comfort level was in house meetings and the past speakers gave me a feeling of hope that they chose to come back to chair and share their stories of hope. This addiction is so challenging since alcohol is so available,. By me making better Choices of my soundings, situations and some friends it is and can be doable for me, To the rest of my graduating family; is anything easy? Narcanon Louisiana is a safe haven. This is a place that can help you drastically change your life if that’s what you need. The entire staff has first-hand knowledge of what a drug addict is going through, and that carries a lot of weight toward rehabilitation guidance. The tactics used here are outside of the box, and they are teaching powerful methods of conflict resolution that can be applied in so many life situations. A person always has to be proactive in their own path in life, and this program shows you how to forgive yourself and move forward in a more meaningful way than previously experienced. I will be forever grateful to Narconon Louisiana.

I left Narconon in September of 2022. I am enrolled in school now with my own apartment, car, and healthy relationships with all my friends and family. Considering I came from about as rock bottom as it could get (broken hearted, socially despised, and facing felony charges), I have completely altered the outcome of my life with the help of these dedicated and knowledgeable staff members. This is a 10 star place! The immense knowledge I have gained from my student program, as well as nearly a year of staff work, has laid the foundation on which I have been able to start building a life I never thought I could achieve. From being a hair away from a bid in prison, to a high functioning and appreciative member of society, I share the wealth of knowledge I learned here with everyone who is facing conflict in their own lives. The program is not easy, and will force you to take ultimate responsibility for all aspects of your life. The unrivaled support and relationships you acquire here will last you a lifetime, but you have to first be honest with yourself. I don’t mean to put down anyone’s subjective experience, however, the one star views prove to me presence of an intense bias. Proof? Why are there no 2 or 3 star votes? How is something either 5 stars or 1? Contemplate that for a second like I have and you will come to the reasonable conclusion that those 1 star-raters have a strong emotional bias towards situations that they feel they were victim to. This place only means to help!

I have been to Edgefield 3 times and I will not go anywhere else for treatment for substance use disorder. The staff is caring and compassionate, attentive to the needs of the clients, and puts the client first. There was a new administrator this time I went, Mr. Bobby Rayford, who I highly commend on his hiring of the new staff. He is a delight to be around and even did my discharge plan for me. His concern for Edgefield being a top notch rehab facility really shows through. Good job on cutting back on the snacks, because many addicts in recovery struggle with weight gain. Thank you Edgefield for another beautiful stay. I will never forget the sunrises and sunsets I saw out there on the bayou. If you are looking for a rehab to meet all of your needs, look no further. This is the place.

Edgefield first caught my attention because of its location and history but upon arrival I was introduced to the compassionate staff that made me feel at home. The repuposed plantation house is such a charm with beautiful chandeliers, fireplaces, and paintings to gaze at between classes, meals, or in the afternoon. The staff was so caring and involved in my recovery process. They genuinely are concerned for the patients and it shines through all of the employees, from the physicians, techs, and lunch room employees. Being set on a quiet bayou with lots of wildlife to observe and appreciate. I recommend a volleyball game during your stay. The food was amazing and filling, so if you are on a diet I suggest passing on the 2 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches they offer as snack. Thank you for helping me so that I could help others.

Love Dr Isherwood, Laura and each person there!! It’s hard finding a Dr or place in general for help when there is so many who have no bed side manner. ** staff on 3 Tower** Mariah — Mariah is simply the best. I told her I wasn’t feeling well, and without me even having to ask, she advocated for me and got me bed rest from the doctor. She was attentive, compassionate, and genuinely cared about how I was doing. She made me feel seen and taken care of when I really needed it. I’m incredibly grateful for her. Twaill — Twaill was there for me through some really hard and dark moments. She has such a great sense of humor and knew exactly when I needed someone to make me laugh or bring a little light into a difficult situation. She was able to balance humor with genuine compassion and support, and that made such a difference for me. She helped make some incredibly difficult days feel a little lighter, and I’ll always appreciate her for that. Nicole — Nicole was absolutely hilarious and made me feel safe and comfortable. She didn’t treat us like we were just “mental health patients”—she treated us like actual people. She would participate in games with us, joke around with us, and genuinely engage with us instead of simply standing on the sidelines. She brought a sense of normalcy and humanity to an environment where it can be really easy to feel like you’ve lost your identity. I felt safe around her, and that meant more to me than she probably realizes. She was professional while still being real and approachable, and I’m so grateful for that. Ashley — Ashley went above and beyond, even after I was discharged. She contacted my new psychiatrist at my outpatient clinic on a Sunday so that I could speak with the doctor first thing Monday morning. That level of dedication and follow-through is something I will never forget. She continued to advocate for me even after I was no longer a patient at Brentwood, and that speaks volumes about the kind of person and professional she is. I’m so grateful for these four women and the role each of them played during a very difficult chapter of my life. They each supported me in completely different ways, and I will never forget the kindness, compassion, humor, and genuine humanity they showed me. Brentwood is lucky to have them. ❤️

Townsend in Covington is easily one of the best facilities around. The entire staff is super friendly, welcoming, and actually treats you like a person, not just a patient. Unlike most rehabs that feel strict and rigid, Townsend has a really chill vibe that lets you relax and focus on getting better. They give you the support and tools you need without making it feel overwhelming. Highly recommend if you’re looking to start your recovery journey!

I went to this facility on January 30, 2025. I took suggestions and went to an Oxford house after a 60 day stay at Avenues. I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I have been clean for 1 year 7 months and 4 days today. I’m thankful and blessed to be part of avenues alumni. We still meet up and do fun sober things. My life is a blessing these days. I’m grateful for this program these steps and my higher power.
