I turned to Victory when I was at the end of the road and felt I had nowhere else to turn. Victory gave me not only the chance to live again but also the tools to face life’s struggles and grow from them. Life hasn’t been perfect since Victory, but I’m a better person because of it.
I don’t think many people wake up excited to walk into an inpatient facility, but if I ever had to do it again, I’d want it to be here. The staff and patients truly felt like family. We grew together — supporting each other through every step. The days are structured and purposeful, filled with small groups, community sessions, and learning opportunities that all have meaning.
If you’re reading reviews wondering if this is the right place for you, give it a try. You can always leave if it’s not a fit — but you might not get another chance if you pass this one up. Victory helped save my life, and for that, I’ll always be grateful.

This is a great place to get a reset in life and the tools to do so. The facility is clean, and all of the staff are helpful. From intake to the numerous programs they offer after your stay, I recommend this place to get your life back on track.

This by far is the best rehab place i have ever been to. I am 110 days sober today and I’m actually going speak over there tonight to a new group of women. When they tell you that they care and they understand it’s because they truly do. Almost all the workers and counselors are in recovery themselves. So when they say i understand they have been where I have been. I guess that’s why other rehabs didn’t work well with me, it’s because when they would tell me they understood, I would be like no you really don’t because you have never been in my shoes. And that’s what I like about the most with this place because they have been in my shoes. And yes some people don’t like the place but it’s because they don’t baby you or put up with your bullshit. We are grown ass people not toddlers. I have all the love and respect for this place.

This program genuinely saved my life, I make 43 days sober today and I couldn't have done it without the staff and my counselor Kacey. Everyone who put 1 star is because they didn't fully WORK THE PROGRAM honestly. You have to work it if you want it to work. They did not give up on me no matter how much I wanted to give up. And I genuinely would not be alive right now if it wasn't for this program. THANK YOU STEPS. It's amazing having supportive people and staff who KNOW WHAT YOURE GOING THROUGH. I'd give it a million stars if I could.

Been here multiple times. All the local ERs always claim vermilion is full so they can send you far away. As a client we always have a voice. Staff is so amazing and the food is legit. The menu is top notch

This is my son's second time at woodlake..he was clean about a year. With all the storms and hurricanes and pandemic caused him a relapse. Ample handicapped parking, when you walk up they are ALWAYS playing patriotic music, doors can be opened automatically or if you prefer to just push but most of the time the security guard scrambles to do it for you and pushes the automatic button for you. The front desk staff, the nursing staff, the social services staff, radiology… absolutely the best of the best- they never ever lose their cool with some of the grumpier old Veterans (which by the way they ARE a Veteran- they have earned the right to be grumpy- just not rude y’all 😉)❤️🤍💙🇱🇷Anyways- every time I go with my dad- He’s a Vietnam Veteran- I’m always amazed at how so very kind, upmost respectful and sweet the staff is. Not sure about other medical staff but my dad has Dr Gautam, Mrs. Myra and a new nurse (I can’t remember her name) but by golly this crew is so attentive, listens, finds solutions and helps my dad AND me with him! They should be so proud of the service they provide to our Veterans! Just exemplary service from the minute you walk in till you leave🇱🇷♥️🤍💙❤️🤍💙

I have been clean and sober for 1300+day. I got sober at River House after attending treatment. It gave me a real chance to recover from the life I was living. No frills, real deal sobriety. Hands down the best men’s sober living house in Lafayette, La. The hands on, recovery based living environment that Nick provides far exceeds other sober living houses in our area. I believe in work that’s being done here so much that when my son came into sobriety a little over 4 months ago, I contacted Nick. I am grateful for Riverhouse Sober Living!

This is THE PLACE you want to be if you want to be clean and learn to stay sober. The owner (Nic) has been clean for longer than most kids in the house have been alive and he knows his stuff. The fact that he is at the house almost every day and will sit with you for hours at a time shows he cares.
I would add that It's not going to be a great place if you think you know it all already. If you did, you wouldn't be reading this review.

Destiny solber living is the absolute best solber living I have ever been to. Schanda and Christy are two women who are great to have in your support circle . They are strick but caring and loving and really want what's best for the woman in the houses. I feel when you are coming out of a 28 day program you need someone who is still going to guide you in the right path and they will. My grandson is there and I was scared at first I didn't even know what the property looks like or anything but it's pretty much way out in the boondocks seen plenty of corn fields and it's located down a long gravel road I was like oh my God there's not even blacktop roads but we got there and it's like a couple separate buildings and my grandson was so happy he didn't act like he wanted to go home or juvie LOL the staff was very nice it's way more than I expected I had told my grandson that I would like to try to maybe donate some stuff for them to do you know games and stuff like that but he said no mamaw we have plenty of stuff to do I get to choose my chores and I chose to cut grass what she likes because his papa never lets him we're about an hour and a half for longer away from there but it's really nice as we were there they was cooking them po'boys french fries and I'm trying to think something else but he said he's eating very good there and you know they pretty much mentor them and cancel them and they don't see race the one man that works the board is you know the one that told me that and he was so kind to us he seemed like he really cared about my grandson

The day after my daughter turned 16 she was admitted at New Beginnings. This is certainly NOT the sweet 16 I had imagined. I had spent the last 9 months trying to figure out what was going on with my daughter. The night before her 16 birthday I located her with friend completely wasted to a dangerous level. She revealed she had a plan to kill herself so I immediately took her to the emergency room. She went to a hospital for a day or two until I could get her enrolled. A good friend was a drug and alcohol professional and recommended New Beginnings. It is hard to leave your child with strangers in another state but what other choice did I have? I knew this was a life or death situation. The staff took good care of her and helped her begin a journey of sobriety. It was not an easy journey for her or our family. The staff remained in close contact with us and tried to help us as a family. Most importantly they saved my daughter. This July she will celebrate her 6th year of sobriety. I could not be more grateful for this staff. Their attention to detail and care of my entire child was incredible. My daughter is alive, sober and thriving as a young adult because of these professionals.

This facility really saved my life. I was in and out of psych hospitals from various drug overdoses and suicide attempts. After I was expelled from my high school, my addiction became extremely worse. after about two months of of extreme use of alcohol and opiates, i had my last drink and shot up for the first time. I went to a hospital with a BAC of .43. My mom found this treatment center when I was detoxing in a mental health facility. I finally agreed to go which was the beginning of my new life. Everyone at the facility got what i was going through. If you’re looking for a place to send your kid who is struggling with substance abuse i highly, highly recommend this place.
