Plans from Moda are available to individual and families as well as to employers. Their plans include regular medical plans and Medicare plans as well as dental coverage.
Moda Health serves over 430,000 with their medical plans and over 750,000 with their pharmacy coverage. They also have 1.3 million members in their dental plans.

I think this is a wonderful rehab, the facilities are beautiful, the food is amazing (I have never even had food this good at a restaurant), and above all they have really helped my husband. Obviously anyone that first goes to rehab isn’t happy with their situation but in just two short months he was a changed person. The work they have them do on themselves got him to finally see why drugs and alcohol are no way of life. He’s finally sober and actually enjoying it! This rehab helped him so much he actually chose to stay LONGER, and I am for once excited for what the future can bring.

My experience here throughout my last few months has completely changed my whole outlook on life. Before I got here I thought my life was going towards the end. My body was failing and mental state was terrible. Every part of the program touches on every aspect of the addicts life. Now that I have finished the program and started living daily life with all of the gains I got throughout the program, failure isn’t an option. I know I can truly be happy sober now. I finally gained back the love and support from my life partner and best friend I always knew was still there. My mom also believes in me again which is so important to me. As a private practice physician with three board certifications working in the fields of psychiatry and addiction medicine, I was always vigilant about getting to know the treatment centers in my community. I took unpaid time off to visit facilities in person, and meet with the owners, medical staff, and counselors. I was so disheartened by the status quo, which seemed to be nothing more than overly priced housing with a few AA meetings thrown in, and nefarious billing practices were commonplace at the time. A colleague brought me to Tree House Recovery, telling me it was different. Again I walked into a room of men, waiting for the pitch I’d heard dozens of times. It never came. In that room I found curiosity, knowledge, conviction, community. Vechi gave his pitch, but it was for an entirely different game. I spoke at length with the founder Justin about the neurochemistry of addiction, and the non-medication approaches to healing brains and bodies ravaged by impulsive and compulsive addictive behaviors. He got it. He preached it. I started sending patients. My patients disappeared. I’d call Tree House concerned about relapse and be told, “X is doing great! He’s still sober. He doesn’t need you anymore.” Music to my ears. Over my years of practice I “lost” many patients to THR. Vechi became my go-to phone call and was always available for my referrals. They kept in touch with me. They taught the patients I sent how to be themselves again—or for the first time! They don’t believe in recovery, they believe in life.

I absolutely love Tree House. Their staff is truly one of a kind. I’ve had the opportunity to work with them professionally, but I also have several close friends who went through their program, had an incredible experience, and are still sober today. The sense of community and support they provide is unlike anything I’ve seen anywhere else.

From the moment I called, I felt loved and cared for. Angela - You are an Angel! Angela kept in contact with me several times a day until I was on a plane to CO. As soon as I got there, Katie picked me up from the airport, she was a doll! She made me feel so comfortable going in. I met with a few staff members, and stayed in “detox” for 2 days.
When I first got to the Women’s house, I met Miss. Pat - She’s the most incredible woman I’ve ever met. I’ll never forget her. EVER.
I went in for Trauma and Depression. Within 7-10 days, I could tell my life was changing. I had never felt this good in my life.
Chris, Bobbie, and his team hired a staff that is like nothing I would have ever imagined. Each week in group they discuss a topic. The topics discussed are LIFE CHANGING! There are things in life that you think you know, you don’t. I learned so much in group and I’ll hold onto that info for life.
I also met with my Therapist/Counselor Kate, 2-3x a week. Kate is part of the reason I am who I am today. ❤️

This place is an absolute game changer. I could've have asked for a better place to get right. It's almost like being on vacation. They take all different approaches to helping u recover from addiction. The food is amazing and The staff are great and it's almost like you become family. Bayview is a wonderful facility with a professional and caring staff, who are support in your goals and helping you to accomplish them. The process was easy and professional from checking in to graduating the program. The facilitators of sessions are engaging and try to further deeper thoughts for conversations and the counselors are the best I have had the pleasure of working with. I would recommend this program to anyone seeking a new journey.

Great experience here at RU! Love all of the staff especially my case manager Chloe and my counselor Justin. I especially enjoyed the fact that it is music based. This helped me get through a lot of emotions.

I can't say enough great things about my treatment at RU. I was in the PHP program and the curriculum is awesome. They definitely help you get out of your comfort zone with Open Mic on Wednesdays, which I loved! The mens houses are both very nice and comfortable. And they provide food for us and we can still purchase extra if we want. I would recommend this facility to any and everyone!

Recovery unplugged has been a very important part of my journey. My therapist, staff, the clients, and especially my case manager Chloe have really helped me through this chapter of my life. Chloe was my case manager and really helped me get my doctors appointments figured out , my probation appointments, and answered any other questions I had. My therapist Jess was also very helpful and I felt like she was the only therapist I’ve ever had that I could truly be honest with. The techs are also awesome and really help you through the day. I definitely recommend this place and you really get what you put in out of it.
Olalla was a life changing experience and gave me the tools I needed to get and stay sober. Kevin, my counselor, is an amazing and compassionate person who guided me through the recovery process. The Olalla staff are kind and patient and were always willing to give me the help I absolutely needed. The treatment center is located on was a hilltop forest overlooking Puget Sound, which is incredibly beautiful and the perfect environment for recovery. Walking the trail surrounding the property every morning was awesome. The food is wonderful and there is lots of it. I would recommend this treatment center to anyone who is serious about getting sober!!

I was at Ollala back in March of 2024 for a 28 days inpatient stay. It was the best decision of my life., and credit this experience and all I learned about addiction and myself for my continued sobriety today.The entire experience here at Ollala was incredible. The staff and counselors are so accepting and compassionate, they truly make you feel important. I would recommend Ollala Recovery Centers to anyone!!

Does Moda Health Cover Addiction Rehab?
The Affordable Care Act requires that most insurance policies cover mental and addiction treatment, but every policy is different. You can learn your exact amounts based on your policy by discussing it with the treatment center.
Insurance often focuses on medically necessary treatment like detox and medication. If you don’t have a specific treatment plan in place, reach out to a qualified healthcare professional to create a long-term plan to submit to your insurance.
What Are Moda Health Plans?
Moda Health offers insurance plans on the state Insurance Marketplace in four states and they have Medicare plan options. They also have insurance plans that small and large employers can offer to their employees.
The individual and family plans on the Marketplace or from employers may offer a variety of benefits including addiction treatment. Most Moda plans are preferred provider organization (PPO) plans. With a PPO you don’t need a referral to see a specialist like an addiction counselor or therapist and you can get coverage for out of network providers. However if you do go out of the network you will pay a lot more out of pocket.
Moda Health also has Medicare plans. If you have Original Medicare you can get a Medicare supplement plan to help you cover out of pocket costs like coinsurance. Another option is to replace Original Medicare with a Moda Medicare Advantage plan with gives you Medicare coverage with additional benefits.
Finally Moda Health partners with Delta Dental to offer dental coverage to over 1 million members.
What Perks Are Available With Moda Health Insurance Plans?
While not all plans have the same benefits, Moda Health Insurance offers some extra perks to members that may be hard to find with other companies.
For example, there’s the CirrusMD app that allows you to contact a doctor by text, 24/7, without an appointment. You can message, share videos, and share photos in order to get more information about urgent or general health questions.
They also offer IDX Identity at no cost to help you protect your identity, including MIDAS technology that monitors health claims to detect any fraud or theft being done in your name. This gives you priceless peace of mind.
What Inpatient Rehab Does Moda Health Cover?
Most Moda Health plans cover at least some of the cost of inpatient rehab. Insurance companies focus on medically necessary care, so you must have a treatment plan from a qualified professional to show what levels of care you need for substance use treatment.
It’s also important to get the full details of your plan to ensure you get a referral or preauthorization if needed before you begin treatment.
Medical detox is one important part of inpatient care on the journey to recovery. Under a doctor’s care, you can better deal with withdrawal systems and any other negative effects of coming off the substance.
Inpatient and residential care provides an intensive, focused, structured treatment journey. It also includes access to healthcare workers and counselors who can help with any problems you face.
What Outpatient Addiction Treatment Does Moda Health Cover?
There are several types of outpatient treatment. Partial hospitalization programs (PHP) typically require at least 30 hours of commitment each week and are often known as day programs. They have a similar intensity as inpatient or residential rehab but you go home in the evenings.
Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) are more flexible, requiring about three three-hour sessions per week. You can often choose to go in the morning, afternoon, or evening depending on your work or school commitments.
General outpatient care is far less intensive than other programs. You’ll get one or two sessions per week that are about an hour each.
Does Moda Health Cover Methadone & Suboxone (MAT)?
Some Moda plans cover medically assisted treatment (MAT). Certain medications have been approved by the FDA for use in the help of recovery.
Two of these are suboxone and methadone, designed to help those struggling with an opioid addiction. At most treatment centers, you’ll have access to a doctor who can discuss if these medications are right for you, but make sure your insurance policy covers the cost and you have any referrals and preauthorizations in place before you start.
Does Moda Health Cover Other Mental Healthcare?
Most insurance plans cover mental health care because of the Affordable Care Act, but you’ll want to make sure to check your individual health plan. This can help you get treatment for diagnoses like depression, anxiety, or other concerns.
Substance abuse disorders often co exist with additional mental health problems like depression, anxiety, and PTSD. To establish long-term recovery, you will need to treat your mental health and substance use together. Fortunately, most Moda plans will cover this type of integrated treatment.
How Long Will Moda Health Cover Rehab?
Because every addiction is different and every person is unique, the length of treatment is determined by medical need. Your specific insurance plan may have its own requirement and limits as well. Your doctor will be actively involved in helping you determine what treatment to pursue, whether it’s inpatient or outpatient.
