I was able to get into the original hope house in the south end over 20 years ago through a friend Alex and Brian Tullos who i just recently found out is amazingly still helping people at the hope house to this day. I may not have known it at the time but I realize now that the Hope House and Brian helped lay down the groundwork for me to get off heroin which was the hardest thing I ever had to do in my entire life. It's an amazing house with great staff and food the atmosphere is out of this world and that helps SO much with recovery. Not one staff member can I say anything bad about and that is absolutely unheard of!!! Love that program, they really take the time to screen clients before entry and the groups are ran in a personalized way to try and help each individual with the different needs they need to be met. 10 out of 5 stars!!!

When I was young (about 4 years old) my brother (also about the same age) had autism and I had severe attachment issues with my mother. The Headstart program here, according to my mother, changed her life. She told me two weeks ago about how a social worker once arrived in her apartment and solemnly reported that she felt bad that my mother, a single mother, had to go through raising two difficult young children. But the people at Headstart were patient and took care of me when I was young. I still have fond memories of crying incoherently due to my levels of stress, but then being quietly reassured by the staff. I miss the people here. I will always be tearful when thinking about this place. They did so much for me and my mom. They were the sweetest people on Earth.

The staff was fantastic ,I mean it. Best hospital for behavioral! I mean it. Wrongfully accused but was a great experience besides awful Winchester and Lahey Burlington 🙄. I picked up meds I'm grateful needed em limping bad shopping ohh ouch. And also patients were wonderful. Noone out of control. Wow. Quincy is a city I think I could live in. I had great experience ..but I do what I agreed to do. .they have rules ..go with them and your experience their will be great...crowded yes. But that's because they try not to deny treatment to anyone...I give them a five star rating. They've been my friends and family 25 years since the day they opened I transfered from Kenmore sq... I give this place four instead of five stars only because I was only at the inpatient unit for mental health for 6 days. But my stay was really good, fun crafts and lots to do. The good wasn't great but in visits you can have food and you can get an order for outside food as well. One small downside was that it was really hard to get an order for music. I do recommend going here if you can!

Updating with photos and more detailed review. Stellar experience with therapists and counselors here. It cracked me up reflecting on the day program when in tenuous whether "to take the hook" the group leader told us to be aware of. Arbor Counseling is my favorite behavioral health provider in America in terms of counseling and quality of counselors. I have to continue writing this review when I have more time. I am in a situation now and I am thinking about whether to 'take the hook'. Should I or should I not. Probably going to take the hook.
