The staff genuinely care about the clients...the food was five star the staff was five star..The most important thing is they believe in you when nobody else does and they get you to believe in your self...God forbid I don't wanna go threw treatment again but if for some unforseen reason I end back in treatment that's the place im going. I am blessed to live here along side many other recovering addicts.. I have also been blessed to see the parking lots fill up with cars and friends move back to their home towns or new apartments.. These people saved me! From the doctors, nurses, and counselors. To even the office manager and receptionist. These people really care! They don’t treat you like less of a person because of your “situation” they are respectful and professional. Honestly, if more treatment centers would follow the lead of this one. I probably would have gotten help 10 years ago. If you are 110 percent serious about getting help. And you choose to go the maintenance route. This is the place! I never would have made it if the staff wasn’t as supportive as they are. So thank you to everyone there! They listened to me when absolutely no body else would! They didn’t judge me when absolutely everyone else did! they were kind to me, when no one else was! And they had faith in me, when even I had no faith in myself!
I read through the reviews, and I can assure you. Do not base your opinion of this place by the bad ones. If you are truly ready to make a change in your life. I promise, these folks will help you with being successful!

Charleston, WV | Prestera Center - Charleston is a dual diagnosis mental health and substance use disorder treatment center for adults, located in Charleston, West Virginia. The center’s services also include case management and community referrals. Addiction services at Prestera Center include mental health assessments and counseling, detox, outpatient addiction | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I’ve been coming to Prestera since it was Shawnee Hills back in the 90’s. It’s changed a lot over the years, but now in 2026 I come to Prestera Health Services for therapy and now they’re like, “hey, want a primary care provider too?”
At this point I’m convinced they’re trying to fix all of me and honestly… I respect the ambition 😂
The therapists are amazing though. They’ll sit there all calm while I’m explaining my life like it’s a dramatic series, and then hit me with one question that has me rethinking everything on the drive home like, “well… that was personal.”
And now with PCP services?? So I can talk about my feelings and get my blood pressure checked in the same place? Efficient. Convenient. Slightly suspicious how well they understand my needs.
Staff is super kind, super patient, and somehow still nice even when I say things like “I think I’m fine now” after one good day.
10/10 would recommend. Came for therapy, stayed because they’re low-key helping me get my life together in every category.

I’m here from San Diego nearly 12 months now and pleasantly surprised! Provider is very attentive, hands on and involved. She cares and has an immense amt of patience. It doesn’t hurt she’s also very soft spoken and kind- I am incredibly grateful!
Overall entire staff goes above and beyond when they’re able. In fact usually willingly and eagerly! They love to help. Family oriented and safe as well.
Nurses Katie Lisa Tiffany beautiful time management skills and compassionate towards others most importantly they show up and work their bootys off!! Underpaid overworked I’m sure like all over healthcare unfortunately. It makes me sad bc they deserve the most!!!
Executive Team- Honestly not being rude but past experiences wasn’t so hopeful. Most professional well rounded and most helpful I’ve ever witnessed honestly. HEIDI/ JAN I believe a few others long beautiful brown hair she was pregnant very reserved and polite herself as well.
CHRISTY THE MANAGER- Always accountable can depend and trust her. Amazing woman incredible soul really tries to work with patience.
Kali COUNSELOR- I am truly growing to like her and I think her guidance I’m becoming more open to and trusting with hoping to result in better success in my future. Been rocky start but I think it’s all for bigger purpose and better. Growth. She’s definitely passionate about helping others- less fortunate included. Always a helping someone if she can I truly am convinced of that! 🤍
Anyways, had to share the love I felt for this place and the gratitude! Thank you to the staff who fill that place with so much love!!!
Oh, KRISTIN +JASON FRONT DESK DUO- Witty sarcastic & particular sense of humor. I think they’re actually great pair! No complaints I can think of!
Safest and lowest crime rate/activity at CTC I’ve ever witnessed! Been to a few domestically around the U.S.
Honestly just in awe… they really care and love you! Until you love yourself again.
Kindly,
Grateful Patient Grateful Heart 💜

If you have state funded Medicaid, please, come to the clinic, get on methadone and get your life back. Don't put your loved ones through more worrying whether or not the next time you OD will be your last if nobody is nearby to narcan you.
I can say for certain that the nurses, doctors, counselors, and staff each had a hand in saving my life, I'll be forever grateful to them at CCTC.
It may take you a while to get your takehomes if you continue to use while going to the clinic, but there are also trip forms that will reimburse your gas mileage for every day that you come in.
I have no complaints for the staff, they are doing the best that they can, my visit is normally in and out within 20-30 mins even with takehomes and drug screen. Then within no time at all took him to get a ct scan. They were on top of everything! They were all professional and so nice. We have never been treated that good at any other hospital. My brother is there at this time. I live out of state. I have been here with him in ICU for 3 days. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the care he is receiving. Every one of his nurses and doctors have been so attentive and caring. The staff in the hallway and desks are truly there to help you every way the can. I am really impressed

I had an outpatient procedure today with Dr. Alhaj. The transfer to WVU medicine did great things for this hospital. The entire surgical team, recovery nurses and staff we're so genuinely passionate, caring, attentive, and as busy as they were still managed to stay on good time schedule. Registration was a breeze and quick as well. I highly commend all of them for their work!
