These people saved me! From the doctors, nurses, and counselors. To even the office manager and receptionist. These people really care! They don’t treat you like less of a person because of your “situation” they are respectful and professional. Honestly, if more treatment centers would follow the lead of this one. I probably would have gotten help 10 years ago. If you are 110 percent serious about getting help. And you choose to go the maintenance route. This is the place! I never would have made it if the staff wasn’t as supportive as they are. So thank you to everyone there! They listened to me when absolutely no body else would! They didn’t judge me when absolutely everyone else did! they were kind to me, when no one else was! And they had faith in me, when even I had no faith in myself!
I read through the reviews, and I can assure you. Do not base your opinion of this place by the bad ones. If you are truly ready to make a change in your life. I promise, these folks will help you with being successful!

I’ve been going here for a little over 2 years I’m pretty sure I’ve been seeing McDaniels for 4. In the beginning of us going here my husband struggled with sobriety. I always felt comfortable talking to Becky about any of my concerns when it came to him. She knew I just wanted him to be sober with me. They never gave up on him & now he’s going on 2 years sober. We both love our therapists and feel like they genuinely care about us. If you are looking for a place to help you get and stay sober please consider this one. The staff where very understanding and alot of people dont understand they cant break there rules or they get fired they are they to watch over u and make sure your not harming yourself or somone else. They are not therapist. So they are not there to listen to your problems. I was there for a month straight and watched how they treated people. And no if you sign yourself in there is certain criteria u have to meet before u go home. And if said person was to read the paperwork they would be aware of that. You get fed, showers, clothes and help. So to leave bad reviews when half of the people came from worse situations if un needed

Returning to BrightHorizon Recovery felt very different from my first visit. Charleston is the 128th most expensive city nationwide for addiction treatment affordability, with an average cost of addiction treatment of $57641. This is comparable to the average cost of $57881 for addiction treatment in West Virginia and comparable to the national average cost for drug rehab of $57,193.
The costs of drug and alcohol rehab in Charleston vary widely and depend on several factors, including:
The costs of addiction treatment listed for cities and states are averages based on the cost of medical detox, inpatient rehab, outpatient rehab, and medication assisted treatment. These averages are high due to the cost of medical detoxification and residential inpatient rehab programs.
These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below. There are many ways to pay for drug rehab in Charleston. Most rehab treatment centers accept cash or self-payment, as well as private health insurance. However, there are many treatment centers in Charleston that accept Medicaid and Medicare, or offer sliding scale payments or other low-cost payment options. Here's the complete breakdown of how to pay for addiction treatment near Charleston.
Aetna is the most widely-accepted insurance for drug rehabs in Charleston, with 8 treatment centers in the city accepting their insurance. Blue Cross Blue Shield is the 2nd most popular with 8 treatment centers accepting it followed by UnitedHealth Group in 3rd accepted by 8 drug rehabs.
Charleston has the 249th highest rate of drug use nationwide among nearly 400 cities surveyed. This number reflects the combined use of cocaine, heroin, meth, and marijuana, displayed individually below. The percent shown for each drug represents the number of residents in Kanawha county that have reported ever using the following drugs, so these numbers should not be interpreted as direct evidence of current drug use in Charleston or Kanawha county as a whole.
In 2023, Charleston had the 84th highest number narcotics violations out of 330 cities nationwide, with a total of 871 reported drug-related incidents that year. This includes cases of public intoxication, drug arrests, narcotics found during house calls and traffic stops, and any other drug-related crime.
Keep in mind these numbers are dependent on accurate record keeping and reporting laws by local police and sheriffs, and may not fully reflect all drug related crime in Charleston. All values are per 100,000 population.
