Amazing facility! Staff are excellent and most have been in the trenches and can relate to what you’re dealing with. All around a great place to go if you have been thinking about checking in, but anxious or nervous. I actually enjoyed myself and would have done 60 days if my insurance covered it. Clients were so helpful too. Even though it’s a hard thing to go through, you will definitely bond with people in the community. I promise you! Stay blessed 🙏

This place completely changed altered the trajectory of my life for the better. The clinicians are beyond qualified,incredibly intuitive and overall super caring and supportive. The beds are phenomenal and the pa’s are always super helpful and willing to help wherever they can. Overall I recommend this facility to anyone looking for somewhere to rebuild and learn how to face challenges in the future relating to both addiction and trauma!

This is a great place. I really got a lot out of the mental health and addiction counseling. If you need recovery this is the place.

Tranquility Woods is the best treatment center I’ve ever experienced. The multiple individual therapy sessions per week changed my life. The groups were informative and fun, and encouraged connection amongst the community. The staff is extremely kind, compassionate, understanding and supportive. If you are looking for a place that addresses dual diagnosis (substance abuse and mental health/illness), I would highly recommend Tranquillity Woods. My 28 days at Ashley were great. Psa's are on it. There for any questions or concerns you have. My counselor Jamie Scott weather in Group or individual sessions was always Professional and you could tell she cared about your recovery and well being!

A true gift. Ashley rehabilitation center was recommended by over 40 individuals I know in AA. They provide phenomenal service, especially compared almost all other rehabilitation centers. It is no wonder it is in the top 3 in the US. Please do not be discouraged by negative reviews, those are individuals who thought one month in a center can cure a lifelong disease that requires daily work for life, and thought rehab should be a vacation. This facility is beautiful. Most other rehab canters are in one building; here it is like a college campus. Ashley provides daily small group therapy, others rehabs offer one per 2 weeks. Here one receives 1 to 1 therapy weekly as well, ranging from psychology, psychiatry, therapy, spiritual wellness, and even social therapy. In addition, useful tasks are given to help you in your recovery. Those that don’t put in the work are the ones who suffer relapse. The food is cooked by chefs, not cooks. The only food item not made from scratch is the bagels. Don’t bother hoarding any food in your room for later, you will always be full. You won’t find this quality of food in most all other rehabs; some rehabs even ration food for the day. There are more than double the employees than there are patients. Those employees really derive joy from helping others. Finally: this facility heavily promotes 12 step groups such as AA or NA. 12 step recovery fellowships are the only way to maintain long term sobriety/clean time. Those who fail sobriety are those that want a 1 month quick fix. It requires lifelong treatment. Know that nothing is going to “work” on, or “fix” your addiction/alcoholism. We spent time out of our lives, and put work in, to use our drug of choice, therefore it will take time and work to stay clean. Anybody going to rehab with expectations of being pampered, like it’s supposed to be a resort, don’t bother wasting their time. Let the bed go to someone that wants to change their life and is ready to work for it. I have the upmost confidence in my sobriety because I gained the tools at Ashley, and will work for the remainder of my life, daily, in AA.

Wonderfully serene environment in which to heal and be fully embraced by a very caring, empathic staff. My only complaint was after I left, someone in Admissions was very rude to me the day after I left when I wanted to be connected to the nursing station to thank a certain nurse that made an integral impact on me during my stay. The fact that this woman refused to transfer me or to even take a message for me “if they did happen to have a person on staff there named ________,” was unacceptable. I had interfaced with every single person in that office daily. Also, I have had zero feedback from the alumni website. Supposedly there are rewards for participation, and I have been keeping my daily activities logged , my meetings and appointments diligently, with zero feedback. I do not see the point. It is not very inspiring for continuing motivation of retention purposes, imho.

This place saved my life. Plain and simple. I just left in late October 2025. And just like any AA / NA meeting, rehab requires action and work. RCA might not be a Malibu Passages (which rehab isn’t suppose to be some fantasy, sleep and get massages all day land) but they helped me crack the code in how not to give up, bc I wanted to and I was tired. But the experience I had, leaning into it and embracing it? Yeah, I got so much from this place. Family. Friends. Knowing I’m not alone. It’s huge. So thank you RCA. And a massive shoutout to Pastor Ken. I could not have asked for a better therapist who just knew how to help me, I can’t explain it. Bridget, my Case Manager has a bigger heart than I thought was possible to have; Brittany, Marcus and Tammy (3 of the staff whom I was really counting on being there, and they were! I owe them so much) And Ms. Sherry T….Ms. Sherry is a damn godsend to the patients. One of the greatest human beings I’ve ever met and will ever know. ❤️❤️ And Tai, (I think that’s how you spell her name) in the cafeteria. She defines what pure joy and just happiness is when you think it’s all but lost. Yeah, this place was exactly what I needed and I’m so grateful.

I came to maryland recovery after completing a stay at another rehab i was here back in 2022 during the time i was here my father was dieing of cancer and they allowed me to leave more then once to go see him in the hospital and then in hospice the director of the program chris and the clinical staff along with my counselor really showed empathy and support and was there for me during this difficult time in my life my father ended up passing away the day I left MRP ill have 3 years sobriety on October 27th Maryland recovery really built a strong foundation for me and early recovery i would highly recommend this program to all

I've been in 7 short n long term programs in Baltimore City with my wife Amanda. She passed away September 17th 2024 at 33yrs old. I was not just lost, broken hopeless n suicidal but much worse because the love of my life was gone forever. I thought I'd accepted it was the end for me n that there was no God. Being at my worst i found Amanda was still guiding me even when I didn't know it. Today I can say she helped me find MRP n put some of the best people in my life. I am so very grateful for Maryland recovery n the amazing clinical staff Alex,Kim,Doug, Brittany, Crystal, April,Laura, Carrie, Jessica and Stephanie. They not just did their jobs to the highest standard as well as showed me dignity and respect while doing it. They all gave me what I wanted n needed to want to live life again, setting me up for success, giving me a solid foundation like I never had before. The PSA's Matt, Hayden ,Big Drew, Jeff,Paul, both Lisa's and Nikki literally made me feel like I was not just a person but part of a big "recovery"family that truly cared about me , my needs and wants. They all took the time to get to know me, guide me and shared very helpful personal stories about themselves or someone they knew that has or was going through something like i was. I came here broken but found the right place for me. The the staff is great ,however the facility is in need of some mnt.

My experience there was nothing short of life-changing. The staff and clinicians gave me the tools I needed to come back home and face my problems head-on. I learned how to communicate better in my relationships and handle challenges in a healthy way. The IAFF COE is a life changing experience. The staff and clinicians are amazing and truly embody a sense of caring about the patients and we are more than patients to them. Most clinicians have close ties to the fire service and understand our hurt, frustrations and lack of understanding of feelings in the fire service. The incredible support of brother and sister firefighters here is unlike anything I have ever seen and gave me a whole new outlook on the meaning of brotherhood. If you are on the fence, call them. It saved so many of us I cant count.

The Freedom Center helped me more than you will ever know. Buckeystown saved my life. Literally. I transitioned to residential PHP in Gaithersburg and felt at home there immediately. My experience was great since the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted wonderfully. I was taken to the PHP house after checking in and provided a room with ease. I felt welcome the whole time I was there. It all made sense from the morning meetings to the evening meetings. Everything and everyone was there as scheduled and I received all type of recovery care with in minutes of requesting it. The Freedom Center goes above and beyond for acommadations. you have to to know what you’re getting into in order to get the most out of this program. It’s long, but I knew that going in and it was something I was personally ready for after years of struggling with addiction. Obviously it’s not going to be fun lol, but this program had a huge impact on my recovery and I will always be greatful. Also all the TAs rock!

Residence sucked and a lot of the rules and regulations were pretty stupid and petty. Group punishment was a big thing and that didn't really help simulate the "real world". But overall the experience even with the rules held me accountable and kept me sober long enough that I actually wanted to stay sober. Also the emphasis on growing a network really helped.

I washed upon the shore of Maryland Addiction Recovery Center with my life in utter shambles. Having gone to a dozen treatment centers in three years, hopeless and entirely broken would be a sufficient summary, but that would be an understatement. Addiction is not something I foresaw for my otherwise promising life on paper, but it reared its hideous head throughout my early 20s. The prospect of a career, college education, reunited family, sense of community, or merely happy and sober existence felt dead and gone. As a last-ditch effort, my family and I decided a Long-Term Care facility might give me a shot at the life I always envisioned for myself. While I wasn't sold on the idea, I begrudgingly agreed to make the 250 mile drive to Maryland to embark on the unknown, terrified and uncertain. I remember thinking to myself: "If this doesn't work, I don't know what will". Without delving into miles of details, this coming February I will celebrate 5 years sober, and I can confidently say that without the dedicated staff, patient-specific care, community-living arrangement, structured environment, vocational program, tough love, and rigorous personal accountability instilled at MARC, I do not know where I would be, or if I would be alive.

We have referred several of our patients to TruHealing in Hagerstown and our patients have said great things about this facility. Additionally, I was able to tour TruHealings' PHP addictions program and Residential addictions program personally. Both programs boast spacious buildings that are clean and organized as well as friendly staff who are familiar with recovery and ready to give to those in need. I would highly reccommend this program to anyone struggling with addiction.

Reading the reviews, alot of people has spoken great about this program. I would like to know with those who are new admissions, in the enrolling process that don't have transportation and stay in BaltimoreCity and would like to only attend the Hagerstown location does TruHealingHagerstown supply those people with transportation or they have to find their own way of transportation there? Also, I would like to know about the employment availability in Hagerstown? Once there will I be able to find employment? Do TruHealingHagerstown has connections or information of employers willing to hire those who want to work or there is a amount of time that has to completed without error or replased in the TruHealingHagerstown before you are even able to work?

Ok so at first I gotta admit it was probably the hardest thing I’ve done but by the grace of god and all the amazing people at tru healing who helped me through it everyday I did it. Not only did I complete the 30 day program I met some of the most amazing people I have ever met. Starting with the counselors and case managers, my counselor Ms Mo she is tough but the most helpful and supportive person and I needed your toughness and more importantly she knew I needed that as well and for that I thank her and Mrs bam omg she is the sweetest person ever and helped me everytime and always was there when I needed to talk which was a lot and for that thank you so much. Now another person who was so kind and amazing to me and to everyone was Nate he is an amazing person and such an inspiration thank you so much Nate. Also ms Joyce she was so sweet and always made me laugh all the time and Sarah she is the sweetest kindest person thank you ms Sarah for everything your an inspiration.

Angelina was AMAZING, she made the process smooth and effortless. The Senior Counselor, I believe her name is Betty, was just as amazing and both were very compassionate. I would 100% recommend Hope's Horizon if you or a loved one is need of help.

Wow where should I begin, My husband is currently in treatment at Hope Horizon, I can say this place is the absolute best for him, the staff is AMAZING!!!!!!! Let me start with Ms. Ashley who has talked with me and encouraged me through this whole process, She's sweet, kind and has a listening ear for the people. My bf dedicates his life to helping others and pushing those needing to get treatment through Hopes. John is passionate about recovery and his heart is definitely in the right place. Addiction is an epidemic in this country and taking our loved ones daily. Myself losing 2 of my ex's to overdose. I personally have never used. Hopes is most definitely on the correct path to changing lives and the outcome of overcoming addiction.

This place saved my life! From the time I walked through the door just three days after my suicide attempt I felt SAFE and with folks who understood what was going on. Once home I realized that I wasn’t 100%. After three weeks home I returned on my own. Today I can proudly say that I have helped several others enjoy the life after The Hog! I am still in contact with many of the staff members who I call family. Don’t ever feel like getting help is a weakness. The HoG is awesome!

The Harbor of Grace helped me gain valuable tools to help with my depression and SI. The staff taught me that it is OK to not be ok and that it is more than acceptable to ask for help in a time of crisis. I would recommend that any first responder going through a difficult time with eother substance abuse or mental health issues to buy in to your own treatment and allow Harbor of Grace to assist you in that treatment.

This place is full of love, compassion and dedication to helping patients become their best selves. The Jude House has creative outlets for the patients like open mics where they can sing, play drums, guitar and share their songs and poetry. There is always a lot of laughter and support. They are investing even more into The Jude House now offering trauma informed yoga, music and art.

The Judehouse helped me grow in many ways. I learned how to cope with triggers and stressful situations. I was also taught how to manage anger and deal with my emotions. I definitely left there a new man ready to return to society.

I have been with this program for over eight years. There are so many opportunities offered in the program now it is amazing! Patients learn tools through the comprehensive education of our core groups of drug education, relapse prevention, coping skills, dual diagnosis, life skills, mindfulness, etc. Patients also have the opportunities of learning how to use a computer, build their resumes, get tutoring for the GED, take the GED test, go to Driver's Education, take college courses and the list is building everyday. The staff is a great team of hardworking individuals that put their hearts and souls into what they do.

Best sexual health clinic Baltimore has to offer! All of the medical professionals I have seen and faculty I've interacted with have been informative, helpful, and friendly. One of the professionals I saw was Rebecca Coppola, and she was extremely helpful and thorough. She was extremely thorough, working with me to determine the best method for addressing my medical inquiries and needs. She ensured both of us fully understood my situation, risk factors, and options so we could come up with a treatment plan which best suites me. I highly reccomend Coppola as a CRNP, and I look forward to continue my care with her. Only downside of the facility is that opening the doors are not disability accessible.

Dr Green is very attentive to my mother's medical needs and requests. She takes time and never felt rushed. She is very considerate and takes culture as an important part of taking care of patients and explains things very well. Chase Brexton is quite far from us but we stay because Dr Green is such a great PCP
