I like their staff!! My experience with chase brexton was great! I was given a referral for my provider(my provider kept changing) and when their refer me to dr Riley. She was the best doctor and provider i have. And I've been going here for more than a year and also, the facility has multiple location so you can choose what's close to you.
Would HIGHLY recommend exploring treatment options with Kolmac if you’re ready to step into your recovery. ❤️🩹 I completed the 90(ish) day IOP program attending online group sessions three times a week for three hours in addition to individual medical appts/medication management and individual treatment plan planning. I had the incredible pleasure of working with Lisa S as my group counselor. She was professional, compassionate and understanding of the needs of her group members. She maintained a healthy and safe environment for us to all lean into the process at our own pace and found ways to relate to everyone regardless of situation. My medical/medication management was also all handled via telehealth. I felt heard when discussing my apprehension to some medications and was made to feel like the process to improve my health and the decisions being made around it were collaborative. Katelyn was my individual counselor and assisted me with developing my treatment plan. She is an absolute sweetheart and though early in her career was able to provide guidance and encouragement that felt beyond her years. I am actively transitioning to their continuing care program and look forward to seeing how far I can go with such a strong team behind me. 97 days!!!

When I was a crisis helpline director for two Howard County churches for nine years, we worked very closely with Grassroots. Every employee and volunteer we encountered there, even when overwhelmed by requests, was deeply dedicated to providing every support possible to those in need. It saddens me to read reviews that accuse GR staff of being heartless, they are the the exact opposite. If they can't provide aid for a call, you can believe there's very good reason. If they say their computers are down, know that they can't access their services/ records to help you, and call back as they suggest. Don't assume they don't care or are being judgemental.

I lived here with my child in 2011 for about a year. It was very nice and clean. We had a private bedroom that we were allowed to lock when we left. The staff was very kind and caring. It helped my family a lot.
I met several lifelong friends that lived there during the same time and they were also helped. Ultimately, I had to find my own housing (I would have it no other way) but Grassroots really came through for us when we needed it.
I have been a patient at this clinic for more then 6 yrs the Drs. Therapist even down to the receptionist I love this clinic

The front desk staff is wonderful. Very helpful and understanding, especially when they are dealing with minors. As a parent, I do wish the doctor would spend more time with my child. But overall I am very happy with the outcome ,and the difference it's made .
I worked with the therapist, Rosie Young. She was very helpful, professional, compassionate, and knowledgeable regarding mental health-related issues. She provided me with several resources and suggestions to assist with my treatment. If you're looking for a wonderful therapist, I recommend seeing Rosie Young.

Excellent counseling experience. Though finding a counselor can often be a lengthy process, Congruent Counseling scheduled me within two weeks of reaching out to them. Jessica Salvino was an incredibly knowledgeable, attentive provider who made each session informative while simultaneously creating a comfortable space to talk freely. She shared insightful strategies and tools to manage one's self that have made a significant difference, and can continue to be applied moving forward. Very highly recommend.

It is so helpful that Dr. O is my doctor. He helps me manage my mental health and work through strategies along with keeping track of my medications. Best doctor I have ever had in my entire life! He is such a kind man. I also love how he uses traditional AND holistic approaches. I was going through such a tough time and he helped me so much. Been seeing him for over 8 years now so I obviously value his opinion and think he's great.
Dr. Scotto is an angel. I knew it the second I saw him the first time. It was when my son had a mental break for the first time during his sophomore year in college after his first experience with marijuana. Thank God I was referred to Dr. Scotto. He took his time with my son and me through the entire episode and on. I had his cell phone number and he always answered. He prescribed the perfect cocktail of medication for my son. He’s available anytime. My son has been remarkably stable. My son was 19 when he began with Dr. Scotto. My son is 32 now. No one can ever tell he has bipolar. Dr. Scotto has been like a father to my son. We appreciate and love him so much! He’s a true lifesaver.

I have been a patient of Dr. Scotto’s for over 4 years coming up on 5 years soon. I would never go elsewhere. He is amazing and has given me the tools I needed to help myself. I will always send people there to him because he is amazing nonetheless.

I stayed here for a month and it was a great experience. the staff was extremely helpful and caring. I never felt more tended to. The food was ok it was more the environment that helped relax me. They had the whole place being cleaned and it made me feel comfortable. The therapists were very encouraging and I feel like I couldn't have gotten to this place in my life without them. I appreciate everything that was done for me and how I was treated

you have to to know what you’re getting into in order to get the most out of this program. It’s long, but I knew that going in and it was something I was personally ready for after years of struggling with addiction. Residence sucked and a lot of the rules and regulations were pretty stupid and petty. Group punishment was a big thing and that didn't really help simulate the "real world". But overall the experience even with the rules held me accountable and kept me sober long enough that I actually wanted to stay sober. Also the emphasis on growing a network really helped.

I washed upon the shore of Maryland Addiction Recovery Center with my life in utter shambles. Having gone to a dozen treatment centers in three years, hopeless and entirely broken would be a sufficient summary, but that would be an understatement. Addiction is not something I foresaw for my otherwise promising life on paper, but it reared its hideous head throughout my early 20s. The prospect of a career, college education, reunited family, sense of community, or merely happy and sober existence felt dead and gone.
As a last-ditch effort, my family and I decided a Long-Term Care facility might give me a shot at the life I always envisioned for myself. While I wasn't sold on the idea, I begrudgingly agreed to make the 250 mile drive to Maryland to embark on the unknown, terrified and uncertain. I remember thinking to myself: "If this doesn't work, I don't know what will".
Without delving into miles of details, this coming February I will celebrate 5 years sober, and I can confidently say that without the dedicated staff, patient-specific care, community-living arrangement, structured environment, vocational program, tough love, and rigorous personal accountability instilled at MARC, I do not know where I would be, or if I would be alive.
Program is better than what people tell you. You don’t realize how could you have it until you transfer to a different program. If you looking to get clean and get your life in order and become the best version of yourself. this is the place for you. Staff are down to earth and the counselors are very helpful and the program director is a reflection of the men in treatment. He been where we are at in life and fought like hell to become a better man. But don’t with him because he will call you on your shit. Only problem I have is the food. It’s not the greatest but it’s edible lol you’ll be fine

My name is Reginald Howard I have to say that Gaudenzia help save my life. Understand at the time I was admitted I wasn't in the best space when it came to mind set. I was newly released from jail and I knew in my mind that I had to do something different and I had been court ordered to at least attend a treatment facility. I called and was greeted by a lady that I like to refer as Miss Also Brooks she skillfully navigated me through the process of admission. Additionally I met the staff began the process and was able to work with them as they began supporting me through the recovery process. After observing them I realize that they were sincere about the recovery process and I began to draw from that experience all that I could so my life could be better. Additionally their zeal for life became contagious and my desire to help others was reawaken so I took some advice especially from my counselor who had recognize that I could assist others going through the same ordeal as I. After having a conversation with Mr Guy I was put on a path to further my education and began seeking opportunities in the field. I thank Gaudenzia for opening their doors and helping me help myself.
Fantastic experience. A much needed time and place to open a new chapter in life. The counselors are top notch, the environment comfortable and safe, the program deep and meaningful.

The freedom center has been one of the most significant positive events and powerful developmental changes in my life. Walking through the front doors i remember the welcome energy, the environment, everything felt weirdly right. Each group didn’t feel like a forced religious obligation, instead I began connecting with my sober self, enjoying my time, loving myself. All this is thanks 100% to the staff who weren’t just recovering addicts and alcoholics themselves, but were genuinely amazing and happy people. My counselor Brian from day 1 spoke to me on the same level and never above me, giving me the feeling of wanting to be open, and ultimately wanting to be here and feeling comfortable enough to find him when needed and let stuff out. During groups Federico talked to all of us on the realist level possible. Mary was beyond just an amazing group leader with interactive activities that kept me in touch with myself but from the moment I showed up seeing her going out of her way to make sure every client is okay and finding ways to take all this struggle and find joy and humor throughout it was one of the most inspiring things I’ve ever experienced in my entire time in rehab/recovery. To have the ability to find common ground with every single client including myself and make them feel at home purely with energy and outlook alone truly is one of a kind, especially when I’d see ones who wanted to and were about to leave and just talking with Mary just her saying a few words changing their decision without any forced approach. Ginina the bht was amazing from day 1 as well, outgoing, approachable, empathetic, truly such an incredibly nice person that I looked forward to seeing at the front every time I walked in the door. Looking out for me, asking about me, and being there for me and truly above n beyond. Casandra was wonderful too always connecting with me and making time for me even if I’m too much most of the time. She also has so much knowledge and have loved being able to connect with nutritional knowledge learning more and more every time I talk to her. While at the same time as well going above and beyond helping anyone on this recovery journey with no biased and true heart behind it all. These are just a few of the many staff that made my time here go from going through the motions to wanting to stay sober and being happy and find myself and love myself throughout. When I walk into the doors of the freedom center I can’t help but smile and feel happier than I’ve been in a long time, always looking forward to seeing all the best people waiting for me every single day, which if it weren’t for them, I can’t say my journey in sobriety would have gone down such a life changing and fulfilling path. The freedom center was my second chance I’m so grateful for getting, a new chapter, a new me, and thanks to even the higher ups like Corey and Kirby and Josh(who of which I will be forever grateful for everything he’s done for me) who are some of the best people ever to be running this center and just always being there for me on their own time, and making it possible to continue coming here helping with housing and employment and just overall proof of pure love throughout the entire center and revealing a community I hope never to leave.*(I also would like to note that Sydney was an amazing impact on me as well and even with less interaction than most always finds ways to help me and put a smile on my face while never failing to teach and guide me on this recovery path)**

Wow where should I begin, My husband is currently in treatment at Hope Horizon, I can say this place is the absolute best for him, the staff is AMAZING!!!!!!! Let me start with Ms. Ashley who has talked with me and encouraged me through this whole process, She's sweet, kind and has a listening ear for the people. My bf dedicates his life to helping others and pushing those needing to get treatment through Hopes. John is passionate about recovery and his heart is definitely in the right place. Addiction is an epidemic in this country and taking our loved ones daily. Myself losing 2 of my ex's to overdose. I personally have never used. Hopes is most definitely on the correct path to changing lives and the outcome of overcoming addiction.

I spent so much time talking to an amazing employee named Jade. She seemed like a therapist because she was so good at her job. She literally explained everything patiently. She literally Helped me in so many ways personally that I didn't expect. I'm excited and motivated about being a new patient at this facility. I was referred by a good.

I will rate Chrysalis House based on when I was there and when it was being ran by different staff and Mrs Carisaa was there. Other than that I can not speak for the program after Mrs. Carissa left. When I was there it was tough but it is what i needed. I have never been to a program that actually cared and literally internally got to me dug up some buried issues and I worked on them. Mrs. MELVINA was my counselor, she was amazing. Most of the staff had went through addiction. Mrs Denise was amazzziiinnggg i never felt uncomfortable, leaving my son with them during the day. The whole staff at that time was amazing. Yes, it was very strict, but they did it in a loving way because they did not want us to die. I know countless women
That graduated the Chrysalis House and are still clean. I have ten fifteen, close lifelong friends that I had met at Chrysalis and that are still clean to this day. I have never went to a treatment that had this much success. Like I said, I cannot speak for the new staff, but it sounds like it is still a great program.While I was there and before I left, they were building on the new addition which was beautiful.It was finished before I left but was not open yet. A woman and children's program is needed and I hope that this one is ran as good as it was when I was there.I'm sure it is. I felt so safe with my children. I'll forever be grateful for Mrs. Carissa and all the staff.

I was someone who stayed here for so time almost a year. I know you can't please everyone but they did try to. Most of the residential staff was wonderful very attentive to the clients needs. The two that I felt that went beyond their job was Simone and Melissa I felt very safe and comfortable w them and they are some of the most compassionate, caring staff I have come across I truly believe they are at their job not only for a paycheck but to help. Thank you to all the residential staff. The clinical team here is beyond amazing I am actually lost for words how much the team does. They are all very passionate about their job and they make u feel welcomed and safe . I honestly believe if you are willing to chose recovery Chrysalis House will and can help 💯

From the moment I got on the phone with them, I felt like someone actually heard me . They didn’t push me or judge me—just straight up helped me figure out what I needed. The place had a super chill energy, kind of like a breath of fresh air after all the chaos I’d been through .What hit different was the way they blended structure with real understanding. It wasn’t just "do this, follow that"—they actually asked what worked for me. Big win. I got my head clear, my heart a little lighter, and finally feel like I’m not stuck anymore 🎧.
