Jamie Guy 2 months ago I had a great experience and this was my 4th treatment center. It’s not a cookie cutter program and felt very comfortable and welcomed. Since I left I’m still involved with the stuff they do in after care and alumni activities which are great ways to stay connected to a lot of people who truly are still putting in the work to stay sober and a lot of us have become close friends and hang out a few times a week. It’s not uptight like a lot of places which is very helpful in early recovery, the music aspect is great even if you don’t play any instruments, and the housing setup is great as well. The rules are pretty simple. No vaping inside (at the center) and you can’t have your phone during group lol pretty reasonable. Otherwise there’s still a sense of normalcy. Highly recommend to anyone who’s ready to make that 1st big step! I was a bit apprehensive at first and couldn’t be more grateful that I did it. I haven’t felt this good in 20 years! She took her time and was patient with me during my test. Ultra sounds on your legs at least for me hurt very badly. But she took the time to press gently and thoughtfully. I was scared to come back as last time I was screaming in pain from the last sonographer so I wanted to point out I had a great experience this time around. There was quite a wait for emergency services but each department communicated with each other and was so polite. Brian Stewart is one of the few names that we caught but he was phenomenal. They do not offer detox specifically but if you're doing a detox, they are able to support with their varied staff of psychiatrists, PRN, nurses, and psychologists as well as peer support specialists. I wouldn't have made it to today as psychologically intact as I am without them! My issues were: they cannot always accommodate a vegetarian or vegan diet & the nightly bed checks require some disturbance if you're a light sleeper.
