At Glass House additional levels of care offered include partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient. | Treatments Payment Options | This place is amazing. Super grateful and lucky to have landed here. I showed up not knowing what to expect, and the welcome was incredibly warm and friendly. I remember being a little intimidated by the fact that everyone here was GENUINELY invested in this therapeutic process - not just the staff, but the other clients. Its a beautiful thing to be able to work on serious stuff and still have strong elements of humor and connection. Special shoutout to Allison, who was my 1-on-1 therapist. She is a goddess, we've done amazing work, and I've just grown sooo much because of this place. Give yourself a chance.

They offer residential care providing long term support for addiction recovery. Specialty rehab programs at Sheppard Pratt Health Syst | Treatments Programs Payment Options | The staff is professional and caring, and the welcoming nature of the staff to my child, along with the expertise of her psychiatrist, enabled her to feel comfortable enough to share information that has finally opened the door to long-term recovery. I am immensely grateful to the staff there how they have cared for her, made her feel comfortable, and sought to really figure out what was going on and get her on the right path to the right treatment. People who consider the staff rude and uncaring may simply be seeing their commitment to protecting privacy and running a tight ship. What matters most to me is not whether they are super chatty with me on the phone when I call, but how they treat my child while she's there, which has been outstanding.

My daughter, Evie, has been in this facility atleast 8 times and this is by far the best inpatient adolescent unit she has been in. Ellicott City is better than Towson and better than the facility she went to across the bridge. We both love the staff at Ellicott City they are very accommodating with visits if you work at night and can’t come during regular visit hours. She has a hard time sleeping at night and needs music to not get in her own head and they gave her wireless headphones to listen to which I really appreciated. They do have their patients best interests at heart. Mr. Ryan and Mr. Chris were her favorites and my favorites as well. I want her at this facility more than any other facility. Ryan and Chris actually care about the patients and their family. I highly recommend bringing your children here if they have issues that they need help dealing with.

I cant thank everyone enough for helping my family. They helped me with my son who is better than before. This was our first time ever facing a mental illness and he was in deep. Every night they reassured me that he would get better and it takes time. It was so hard seeing my 18 year old going through something as a mom that i couldn't fix i had no answer to. He has been in there for 2 weeks now. Thank you for bringing my son back to me. Thank you for all your caring and compassion. Thank you for everything you all did and continue to do everday.

Crownsville, Maryland | Located a half hour away from Baltimore in Crownsville, Maryland, Chrysalis House Crownsville offers residential treatment services to women 18 years of age older. The facility treats individuals who need help recovering from substance use disorder, mental illness, or dual diagnosis. Clients are also allowed to bring their children with them. Addic | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I will rate Chrysalis House based on when I was there and when it was being ran by different staff and Mrs Carisaa was there. Other than that I can not speak for the program after Mrs. Carissa left. When I was there it was tough but it is what i needed. I have never been to a program that actually cared and literally internally got to me dug up some buried issues and I worked on them. Mrs. MELVINA was my counselor, she was amazing. Most of the staff had went through addiction. Mrs Denise was amazzziiinnggg i never felt uncomfortable, leaving my son with them during the day. The whole staff at that time was amazing. Yes, it was very strict, but they did it in a loving way because they did not want us to die. I know countless women
That graduated the Chrysalis House and are still clean. I have ten fifteen, close lifelong friends that I had met at Chrysalis and that are still clean to this day. I have never went to a treatment that had this much success. Like I said, I cannot speak for the new staff, but it sounds like it is still a great program. While I was there and before I left, they were building on the new addition which was beautiful. It was finished before I left but was not open yet. A woman and children's program is needed and I hope that this one is ran as good as it was when I was there.I'm sure it is. I felt so safe with my children. I'll forever be grateful for Mrs. Carissa and all the staff.

Thank you to all the residential staff. The clinical team here is beyond amazing I am actually lost for words how much the team does. From the moment I got on the phone with them, I felt like someone actually heard me . They didn’t push me or judge me—just straight up helped me figure out what I needed. The place had a super chill energy, kind of like a breath of fresh air after all the chaos I’d been through .What hit different was the way they blended structure with real understanding. It wasn’t just "do this, follow that"—they actually asked what worked for me. Big win. I got my head clear, my heart a little lighter, and finally feel like I’m not stuck anymore 🎧.

I have been with Port Recovery for about a year and a half now. I've had sessions with Alana, Elaine, Courtney, Joanne, and Carol. I also had M-F 9am group sessions as well when I was on probation. I like the place enough that I've decided to stay with them after probation to keep seeing Ms. Cook as my psychiatric nurse practitioner. The welcoming environment is exactly what I need, and most likely you too. I was referred to Port Recovery from my Probation Officer. I got into trouble by wrecking my car into a ditch while sleep driving on Ambien. I couldn't remember a thing, only waking up in the hospital. So, I stopped taking extra Ambien even if I can't fall asleep back in February 2020. Now, I'm getting help at Port Recovery with my severe anxiety, depression, and PTSD issues. Best place I've been to for those issues, and being able to see all the professionals I need under one roof is perfectly convenient. Everyone is on the same page! Good luck to everyone else!!! Highly recommended!

Baltimore, Maryland | Many past patients praise Sheppard Pratt — The Retreat, located in Baltimore, Maryland. Former clients often express gratitude to the center's nurses, mental health workers, doctors, therapists and addiction treatment specialists. The center specializes in treating people with co-occurring mental health conditions and addiction problems. Their co | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I arrived at the Retreat at Sheppard Pratt suffering from severe obsessive-compulsive and body dysmorphic disorders. Jon Hershfield and the OCD team provided me with exceptionally skilled treatment so I could return home to a significantly higher-quality, more productive, and happier life. I worked specifically with Jon, Molly, and Rebecca (the entire team is fantastic), and they are without a doubt the most knowledgeable, compassionate, intentional, and collaborative clinicians with whom I have ever worked over the course of my 30+ year journey with OCD. They educated me on my conditions and empowered me to build the skills and tools necessary to live with and effectively manage these chronic illnesses. They worked closely with my psychiatrist and social worker on my care team at the Retreat to create a holistic approach to recovery. They also ensured that I was discharged with a comprehensive plan to execute with my psychologist at home. I highly recommend them and am eternally grateful for their life-changing care.

I went to The Retreat at Sheppard Pratt experiencing severe depression, anxiety and OCD. I'd been to other facilities and had to wait in line for up to an hour or more for meds that were dolled out without any consideration for the patient. I also had psychiatrist's who would schedule virtually once a week. This was NOT the case at The Retreat. The staff there were awesome! Absolutely ALL of the staff there, especially the doctors and nursing staff, were extremely attentive and knowledgeable. It HONESTLY felt like they cared.
I literally cannot say enough great things about the OCD team, led by Jon Hershfield. They were tremendous! I met with Jon or one of his staff nearly every day I was there. Absolute pros! Thank you, guys!
The Retreat is a clean, friendly, attentive and professional place to go if you are experiencing mental health problems. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!

I spent 4 weeks at the Retreat at Sheppard Pratt last summer. I came in with horrible panic attacks and anxiety, especially around being in cars and transportation. When I arrived, I literally couldn’t be in a car for more than 10 minutes without the help of medication.
I was ultimately diagnosed with OCD and very very lucky to be treated by Jon Hershfield and his team including Melissa Mondich. I started exposure therapy the 2nd week. My exposures were around the triggers to my panic attacks like motion sickness. We drove in circles in the car with the music on loud, and the heat up way too high, while I read from my phone. At first I was exhausted and it was tough but it is pretty amazing how quickly this produced results and I saw myself growing stronger. I had so much support and encouragement by the staff and my peers in the program. This program was very well rounded. I also had yoga sessions with Leonora, Acupuncture with Trina, and training with Terry, all of which I miss very very much.
I went into the program being scared about driving 10 minutes away to a target and left the program and went to Greece to enjoy my regularly scheduled summer vacation and did not need any anxiety medication at all. I really can not recommend this experience enough. Also a massive thank you to Dr. Amara, my psychiatrist who oversaw my whole treatment and to the nursing staff especially Susan, Kate, and Talila!
