She took her time and was patient with me during my test. Ultra sounds on your legs at least for me hurt very badly. But she took the time to press gently and thoughtfully. I was scared to come back as last time I was screaming in pain from the last sonographer so I wanted to point out I had a great experience this time around. I've been an addict for over 20yrs, that being said I've dealt with many facility's concerning recovery or incarseration but had never experienced an inpatient rehab. The fact of the matter is no matter where u go everything isnt gonna b perfect n during recovery alot of times we think the world should revolve around us, a rehab is there to help u along ur journey. U have to still be willing to put in the work and u have to want to quit. My experience in the Pheonix house was great. I enjoyed the meetings, the staff was kind although they were a little busy at times. I honestly believe most staff there were cared about their profession and the residents at the facility. The food was great! The prior reviews with people complaining about this place probley never experienced a lengthy jail bid instead of rehab. To mk a long story short, this place saved my life. No follow-up with patients. They are all about profit. The providers can't even provide outside resources. This should be a warning sign they are out to make money. Jamie Guy 1 month ago I had a great experience and this was my 4th treatment center. It’s not a cookie cutter program and felt very comfortable and welcomed. Since I left I’m still involved with the stuff they do in after care and alumni activities which are great ways to stay connected to a lot of people who truly are still putting in the work to stay sober and a lot of us have become close friends and hang out a few times a week. It’s not uptight like a lot of places which is very helpful in early recovery, the music aspect is great even if you don’t play any instruments, and the housing setup is great as well. The rules are pretty simple. No vaping inside (at the center) and you can’t have your phone during group lol pretty reasonable. Otherwise there’s still a sense of normalcy. Highly recommend to anyone who’s ready to make that 1st big step! I was a bit apprehensive at first and couldn’t be more grateful that I did it. I haven’t felt this good in 20 years! Everyone was really great, except Amelia. She's very weird, but by far my favorite staff member. The program director truly cares about every patient and puts her all into the treatment program. I want to give a special thank you to my case manager, Darryl. He went above and beyond for me. Even after I was discharged, he still took the time to help me look for other treatment programs and continued to support me. That level of care meant a lot to me and showed that he truly cares about the people he helps. I also want to recognize Jordan. He was always willing to help with anything and had a great attitude every day. Mr. Kirby was another staff member who made a positive impact on my experience. All of the BHTs were caring, supportive, and always there when I needed them. There are too many to name individually, but I appreciate every one of them. The nurses were excellent, the therapists were knowledgeable and compassionate, and the instructors who teach at Alpas were very encouraging. Everyone worked together to create a positive environment where people can focus on recovery. The facility was always clean, the atmosphere was welcoming, and it motivated me to keep moving forward. I would recommend Alpas Wellness Treatment Center over any other treatment program in Maryland. Thank you to everyone at Alpas for everything you did for me. I truly appreciate your support.
