What an incredible, amazing, wonderful, beautiful, awesome place and community this place is! I was searching for a PHP/IOP/Sober living facility for weeks to help me continue on my path of recovery and as soon as I made my first phone call and spoke to Jacob I knew it my heart I had finally found the perfect spot for me. The entire staff was welcoming and helpful and supportive, the group sessions along with my peers helped me fully understand this disease and without them I’m not sure if I would’ve made it. My appreciation and gratitude for this program are through the roof and I would HIGHLY suggest anyone who needs help with addiction and mental health and staying sober to contact this place. So i had a good/bad experience coming to the into action rehab center. This was a while back in 2017 like 8 years ago when huricane Harvey hit.By the way im comkng from vegas to houston.so I was 2 weeks there bearly finding & getting myself backk all together surely but slowly. Then that hurricane hit, so most of the employees weren't showing up cuz it was pretty big and we had alot of time jjs doing nothing cuz all meetings and group activities weren't going on.Then I had a minor problem with one of the patience there(its a long story but have no problem discussing it if asked)but got into 2 altercations with the same person.Im guessing both weren't my fault cuz u guys didnt kick me out.the second one u guys asked me what do I want to do and I thought i was ready and at that time i felt like everybody was against me and I jus told Tony the lady that was running at the time that I wanted to go home.so I left.u guys told me u guys kicked the other dude out.it was probley the biggest mistake I could of made tho cuz 8 years later nothings change.you guys were the only rehab place I been too.what im trying to get at is i think I need some type of help right now.im serious about quiting but It seems like I keep going down the same paths right into the same cycle.i believe I met u one time while I was there but this is one thing I been wanting to get off my chest and do regardless if something happens or not atleast I tried and gave this a shot. But other then whether conditions like hurricanes u guys are 5 star hands down best rehabilitation center ever.

Houston, Texas | The Heights Treatment Center in Houston, Texas, offers individuals drug, alcohol and mental health rehabilitation programs. They follow a holistic approach that incorporates various therapies and specialized services. The levels of care offered include the partial hospitalization program and the intensive outpatient program. Specialized Care To Su | Payment Options | This was the best decision I could have made for my mental wellness. Everyone has life issues and experiences. Sometimes you don’t know you need professional help until you’re in the middle of it. Well I was. I am blessed to have a support system who was on board for my self care.
I researched various IOPs/PHPs that my psychiatrist suggested. The Heights Treatment sounded like the best fit for me. Based on reviews and researching the area, solidified my choice to start treatment there. So I did.
From the intake for IOP5, to individual therapy sessions, to group sessions including equine therapy, to individual sessions with Dr. R, was well thought out to get this group of professionals to help people. The one who held it together with scheduling to communicating to even listening for a couple of minutes in passing, was truly a blessing. Their client care services, Adam, is kind and professional. They all make you feel welcome.

Over 2 years sober. Freedom and happiness. J.Flowers Health Institute saved my life. As someone that is involved in the recovery community in my sobriety I have heard a lot of rehabilitation facility stories to compare to mine. I have only been to J.Flowers so I cannot personally compare it to any other. However, I will say it sounds like my "experience" was different than others that have been in rehabilitation. "Success is not measured by the quantity but the quality". This applies here. It might cost more but there is a reason. They are different. And can you really put a price on your life or your sobriety? If so is the lowest bidder your option that you choose?
Staff was exceptional. Aftercare was exceptional. Facility was exceptional. My sober companions were the difference maker. If I had a family member or friend that was losing their life to alcoholism like I was I would recommend J.Flowers. I am here today to write this review because if you or someone you know needs help please reach out to J.Flowers. You can't go wrong here. They are truly unique in their approach.

J. Flowers is very difficult to explain because to see it is to believe it. Multiple of my clients have chosen to go to J. Flowers over the last 4 years. These individuals deserved the best quality of care and were faced with continuous white walls, hospital gowns, over-medication, a revolving door of practitioners, and years of being stuck in a constant cycle of crisis. After staying at J. Flowers, they were stabilized, met with loving care, they felt seen and heard for the first time in their lives. The ability to individualize to the client is critical during a medical or mental health crisis and so few hospitals have the staffing or ability to do so. They are integrated into the community, they have freedoms and access to experiences that are impossible to participate in while in other hospitals or treatment centers. The freedom of feeling like a human and not a patient or a number during care is priceless; I've seen all too much hospitalization trauma come from psychiatric hospitalizations.
The Clinical Director, Arti Patel, is one of the most skilled clinicians I have ever worked with, she has a relational approach and is able to meet clients where they are and provide a safe space to process what they've experienced in a short amount of time. I have been continuously impressed with the level of care they provide, it's unparalleled. The entire team has been carefully chosen and each bring their unique strengths and collaborate daily to ensure the highest quality of care is delivered to very complex and ill individuals.
An additional note: comprehensive diagnostics, where the doctors and practitioners diagnosing patients are collaborating, just makes sense. It should be the way all doctors offices work, but aren't set up to. The cardiologist needs to talk to the endocrinologist who needs to talk to the psychiatrist, etc. Every perspective is unique and a quality diagnosis requires all stakeholders to come together for the safety and longevity of their patient. There is life beyond the diagnosis, as Arti says, but finding out the root cause is imperative to build a roadmap for a life of wellness and actualization. I recommend J. Flowers wholeheartedly.

I can’t speak for all departments but so far I’ve had a good experience with the dental department and primary care. Dr Ali is outstanding and you can tell he actually cares about veterans. He made it a point to call me directly, outside of normal business hours to make sure I was okay after a series of events. Thankful that so far I have received good care.

VA 5-Star Rating
I enrolled in Veterans’ Health Care after a somewhat stressful period in the civilian medical system.
The VA Service has been nothing but outstanding.
The level of professionalism, service, care and respect is incredible.
Whether we’re talking about the Doctors, Associates, Nurses, Technicians or Administrative Staff, the dedication and commitment goes way beyond a “just a job” attitude,
I am a cancer patient with a number of other health issues and I have nothing but gratitude and praise for everyone who has worked with me.
That goes double for the Oncology and the Neurology Departments.
Thank you VA.

Houston, Texas | Located in Houston, Texas, Montrose Counseling Center is a community-based behavioral health and addiction treatment provider. Serving adolescents, adults, and families, their drug rehab programs include outpatient services, counseling, recovery coaching, and peer support. Their intensive outpatient program offers four evening group sessions per we | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I literally was just sitting down, minding my business, waiting on a friend to take care of his business, when a worker legitimately concerned, asked me if someone had already helped me.
That made me feel so seen, and validated somehow.
If that's how they treat you without knowing if you're in for service, I can only imagine how committed they'll be when receiving care.

I’ve Known Of Montrose Counseling/Community Center since Summer of 1995. During That Time MCC was located on Richmond Avenue in a beautiful but smaller building than they’re in now. My first Therapist was Lee Willis a phenomenal therapist for anyone living with gender dysphoria. Since then I’ve had sporadic experiences at MCC from 1995 till 2008. However, when I move back to Houston in 2008 I started going To MCC consistently especially after 2009. I’ve had some wonderful case managers and therapist from Mandy Lloyd in 2009 till Daniel Perez now. I can honestly say there’re people who work at MCC who authentically care about the LGBTQ+ community of Houston very much, and those same people are willing to provide exceptional services for anyone regardless of their sexual orientation, gender, religion, or race to me that’s commendable.
I lost my Therapist/ Friend Mike Ator in November Of last year 11-04-24 was the day I was told he had passed away, and that news shook me to my core it was devastating heartbreaking news. I miss him greatly and that’s the kind of people that work at MCC phenomenal people who truly care and reaffirm to their clients they matter. In closing, I wholeheartedly recommend MCC to anyone who seeking services like Mental Wellness, Community groups to network, groups that meet to discuss life’s challenges, and helping people who are apart of the LGBTQ+ community by reaffirming the fact YOU MATTER 🤗 I Sincerely And Unequivocally give MCC Five Stars For being a lighthouse In Dark Times Thank You ☺️ GOD Bless 🙏🏾 !!!!!!

You get out what you put in. This place was literally life changing for me. Private rooms, you're assigned a team based on individual patients needs of a psychiatrist, individual therapist, and social worker, the grounds are gorgeous, the groups are run by people who are very good in their fields (like they have doctorates and some are even univeristy professors), the cafeteria does not suck and there are plenty of options (even multiple options for vegetarians and vegans), you can apply for different levels of responsibility (like how much trust staff can give you, you can get to the point where you can leave the unit alone and go for a walk), they give you an assigned private phone and MP3 player, the staff actually appears to enjoy their jobs, you are given resources for all of your needs. BUT you have to be willing to put in the work. They cant fix your problems for you. They cant make you contact your family, they cant make you take your medication, they cant make you go to group; you have to do that for yourself. It may be expensive, but you get your money's worth IF you put in the effort. But you have to want it. No one can do that part for you, but they will give you every resource they can, and will advocate for you tooth and nail with insurance. Of course theres other reviews of "this place is horrid" because its literally a psychiatric facility, not everyone there is going to have a good time. There was another Google review that made me consider and eventually pick this place as the place for me to get help that said "this place is actually ok." Its genuinely actually ok. If youre ready to change your life for the better and dedicate yourself to doing so, they will with open arms be ready to help you. Please consider this option. Compared to other places I have been inpatient, this has been the best mental health experience I've ever had. Genuinely.

The Texas House saved my life! I literally went from wanting to blow my brains out, to not seeing how life could get any better. It's a tough program with a lot of rules but that's exactly what i needed. I learned how to follow the rules, be a better dad, and clean up my heart and mind. The Texas House helped me understand it was about my attitudes and behaviors. Once I changed them, I changed my life!!! I no longer need to drink and do drugs to feel something else because I love the way I feel now! If your really tired of being sick and tired, this is the place to go.

Houston, Texas | Texas Clinic offers outpatient treatment to help people with opioid use issues heal and regain control of their lives. They have two facilities in Houston, Texas. That includes this location on Fulton Street which is wholly funded by the government. They’re easy to access via public transportation including METRORail’s Red Line and multiple ME | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I've been a client at Texas Clinic for almost two years. While the majority of my experiences with the staff have been positive and helpful with my best interest as the focus of our attention, the morning of Oct. 17, 2025, unfortunately gave me a glimpse into the face of corruption and deciet that are at the heart of the worlds problem. Jose, is an employee at the clinic though his title or function is unknown, he facilitates the morning ritual of dosing by standing around keeping tabs on the routine, making sure things are conducted in occordance with policy and customs. On the morning I have mentioned, I was charging a power bank after I had dosed, minding my own business not bothering anyone except Jose. Not that I was doing anything to provoke or irritate him intentionally, however he came up to me and asked," how much longer do you have to charge your phone?" I looked at him and replied one more dot. Then I asked Why. He then replied that the big boss had told him to come tell me something. A blatent and deliberate lie, spoken out of fear that he may loose his false sense of control over the situation if he was honest and said that he personally had a problem with me being there doing what I was doing. At which time I confronted him and told him he was lieing, and that unless he could be honest with me not to speak to me at all. He then rushed outside to fetch his trusted security officer and hyped the situation up by stating another lie. He said I was refusing to leave. I laughed and informed the office that I had no problem going, my problem was with the fact that I had caught him lieing to benefit his desire. The officer told me that he represented the business and I had to listen to him. I then objected on the bases that dishonesty in business nullifys my obligations as well as any authority the lier may or may not have. I told Jose, as I was walking away not to speak with me if he couldn't help but lie. His reply was," I don't have to tell you the truth." Now that statement has me questioning everything I thought I felt about the clinic. My reasoning is that if the clinic allows a staff to tell a patient that and do nothing, what does that say for the management? So just know that if you are considering Tx Clinic, remember that Jose, is a control freak that is threatened by anyone that has the mind enough to challenge the narrative he makes up on the fly. I am waiting now to see if they will try to kick me out of the program for this post. If they do, I will surely let you know to keep those considering the program safe from future retaliation if any issues arise after your enrollment. I know of several others that Jose, has singled out and targeted for harassment. So just know that sometimes, often all the time, the people that work at these places often have issues that require the inner will to correct the error of their ways yet because they feel in authority, this change seldom arrives, and they compound the problem by mixing from one patient to another telling lie upon lie. Maybe 3I Atlas can help us all. I have included an image taken from the monitoring system on Mars as it traveled pass the planet. It is a most enlightened image, one no resistance can deny. Clearly the game has changed. Truth is both crucial and demanded from this day onward. Trust there are eyes and ears monitoring everything and just maybe we shall have to answer for simple deciet when spoken to benefit the one telling it. I wish you all success and the strength and dedication to change your life for the better.

The most amazing staff, people who care and doctors that care. My number one concern was the judgment being only 22…but there was no judgment from anyone, when I walked in they made me feel like family! This clinic genuinely just want to see you survive and give you tools to live a better life. I could not recommend this place more….its all government funded and if you can’t get it covered because you have insurance self pay is only 100$ a week. When other places wanted to charge me almost 600$ a week…these people save lives!

The dosing nurses Taylor, Olivia, Lexi & Ruth are all both professional & personable, kind & caring, nice & helpful too! Nancy the "Boss" who runs everything at the front desk has the nicest and most welcoming smile ever, not to mention the most genuine and thoughtful person, truly! And now my counselor , Mr. Richard, he keeps me in line & focused on my treatment plan, thank goodness because even though I'm scatterbrained he is on point! I can't forget to mention Jose, who really is awesome, just don't mess with him when he's drinking his coffee, lol, just kidding. But I'm serious about the entire crew or should I say family because that's what they've become to me, my Texas Clinic family! Thanks guys for all you do!

Houston is the 115th most expensive city nationwide for addiction treatment affordability, with an average cost of addiction treatment of $58014. This is comparable to the average cost of $56623 for addiction treatment in Texas and comparable to the national average cost for drug rehab of $57,193.
The costs of drug and alcohol rehab in Houston vary widely and depend on several factors, including:
The costs of addiction treatment listed for cities and states are averages based on the cost of medical detox, inpatient rehab, outpatient rehab, and medication assisted treatment. These averages are high due to the cost of medical detoxification and residential inpatient rehab programs.
These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below. There are many ways to pay for drug rehab in Houston. Most rehab treatment centers accept cash or self-payment, as well as private health insurance. However, there are many treatment centers in Houston that accept Medicaid and Medicare, or offer sliding scale payments or other low-cost payment options. Here's the complete breakdown of how to pay for addiction treatment near Houston.
Aetna is the most widely-accepted insurance for drug rehabs in Houston, with 42 treatment centers in the city accepting their insurance. Blue Cross Blue Shield is the 2nd most popular with 42 treatment centers accepting it followed by Cigna in 3rd accepted by 38 drug rehabs.
Houston has the 305th highest rate of drug use nationwide among nearly 400 cities surveyed. This number reflects the combined use of cocaine, heroin, meth, and marijuana, displayed individually below. The percent shown for each drug represents the number of residents in Harris county that have reported ever using the following drugs, so these numbers should not be interpreted as direct evidence of current drug use in Houston or Harris county as a whole.
In 2023, Houston had the 2nd highest number narcotics violations out of 330 cities nationwide, with a total of 7995 reported drug-related incidents that year. This includes cases of public intoxication, drug arrests, narcotics found during house calls and traffic stops, and any other drug-related crime.
Keep in mind these numbers are dependent on accurate record keeping and reporting laws by local police and sheriffs, and may not fully reflect all drug related crime in Houston. All values are per 100,000 population.
