Hitting my sobriety year mark so I finally feel comfortable leaving a review. I am so grateful I went to IARC and listened to the program they implemented. Cory as everyone has said is great with following up. The only 2 things negative were the lack of female sponsors available. Although I understand statistically there are less women in recovery, it was still something I did not have. I m glad I went and got my own as soon as I got back home. I know that at the end of the day it is still a for profit center but maaaan do they push sober living. Most of us were adults that had to go back to their kids, so it wasn t an option and we were often made to feel like we would relapse without going into sober living. Ive beaten the odds on that so far. My favorite things were the counselors like Ms D and Richard s morning readings. Ms D if you are still there I want you to know I still quote your little nuggets of wisdom and I miss the sound of your angel voice. Oh I m so grateful I had the option to utilize the gym! The food will get you fat as f&@k so try to stay active. In the end You either want recovery or you don t. I know I couldn t have gotten sober on my own. Dr. Milad is truly one of a kind. She listens with such genuine attentiveness and care, making each appointment feel personal and unrushed. What I appreciate most is that she remembers everything I share from previous visits without needing to constantly refer to notes she s fully present and focused on me as a patient. It s incredibly reassuring to have a doctor who not only treats your health concerns but also truly hears you. I feel very fortunate to be in her care and highly recommend her to anyone seeking compassionate, thorough, and attentive medical support.

I went into Taylor Recovery with my life shattered. I needed help, not only for the demons I faced, but the situation those demons had landed me in. I was provided information by my medical insurance company (a department within it to assist with the type of issue I was in). The individual I spoke with expressed their trust with Taylor Recovery Sober Living to provide the help I needed. I called the TRSL. Kimberly Isaac (Ms. Kim) answered the phone..... thank God. I went into detail with my situation. She told me then and there I was welcome.I was at TRSL for almost a year. I now have a new home, well new to me. This become possible by the opportunity they provided me.I was introduced to the staff (Megan, who did my intake and did catch me on a white lie, Jacob, Ms. Marjorie, and others who came along later.... Tish). Additionally, by the grace of God I was introduced to my counsellor, Ms. Gail (...aka..Ms. G), also Steve. I needed the support and the wisdom from both of these individuals, the staff, Ms. Kim, and Teresa.I made it perfectly clear two things would be necessary for me to discharge treatment. First, I wound need to know I could live independently (secure by myself, okay with my own skin), and that I would be a homeowner when I discharged.Had I not came in contact with TRSL, and these individuals, I would either be 6' under, or property of the State of Texas. Everyone there supported, accommodated (I work 3rd shift), counselled me, especially when life became even tougher while I was there.Thank you all at Tayor Recovery Sober Living, you have provided the tools for a man to get back on his feet, to have the strength to face a new book in life, and to go forward with confidence.I highly recommend Taylor Recovery, and those who make Taylor Recovery to anyone who needs help with recovery, and sober living. Please, be dedicated to your own life and grow.

I was a patient here, staff was excellent, accountability, staff was patient, kind, truly cared, and were helpful. They even allowed for a church called the EXIT church to come and have church with us, and hold a place where we could worship and get to know Jesus and because they let that happen I am beyond grateful to God and odyssey house. As well as The Exit church. I was transformed by God in this place. I got away from all the distractions and noise that was killing me slowly and got around people that loved me and would hold me accountable here, i still connect with people there to this day. Odyssey house was amazing for me. I really enjoyed it there, and I was changed walking out of there after 67 days. I was a lonely, angry, bitter drug addict, who had nothing but hate and wanted himself to die and everyone else around him walking in there. But walking out I had a new heart, mind, body, and soul. I wanted nothing more than to love people, to forgive people, to be patient and kind. To forgive myself and move onward to loving God and loving people and connecting with others, and serving love, I walked out of Odyssey house as a kid who wanted nothing more than to talk about Jesus, and not drugs, sex, fighting, money, or anything else, instead I had new desires I had never experienced before to be merciful and kind and to let go. I had new desires to truly love my family and all those around me after leaving Odyssey house. Shoutout to Mr. Roy, Mr. K, Mrs. Denise, Ms. TT, Mr. Moore, Chef C, and all the other staff that helped me along the way.

| Prevention and Recovery Center (PaRC) is a substance abuse treatment facility in Houston, Texas. They offer outpatient programming, which provides flexibility for those wanting to continue working or attending school while getting care. The location is convenient, near the George Bush and William P. Hobby airports and the University of Houston for | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I want to first say that my time at the PaRC was a wonderful experience and was probably the best 30 days of my life. Most of the personnel working there were exceptional humans and 85% are actually in recovery so they know exactly what you are going through. The support, the mental wellbeing staff, counselors and care coordination team are, for the most part phenomenal. I wanted to give a big shout out to Ernie, Anthony, Tuliesha, Cecelia, Amad, Resha, Derrick, Darrel, Gabriel, Gabriella, Ryan, Veronica, David, Lilly, Ms Linda, Xavier, Tara and Mary as well as John A, Tonya and Joel from the Alumni team for their exceptional support throughout my stay and help developing a rock solid exit plan. All this being said, I want to make people aware that this facility has no problem filling their building well past the capacity for the number of staff they have. There were quite often too few nurses to handle the number of people that had to get medications both in the morning and at night. Zero processes were in place and it became a zoo. I can only speak for my counselor, but by the time I left she was too busy as she completely missed setting up my family one on one. She just stated "I just ran out of time". In addition, my care coordinator was a nice guy but completely and utterly dropped the ball on my sober living and a few other big ticket items I needed to depart and I was nearly left without a place to stay (homeless) if I had not taken action. I attempted to stay involved but I was just told to "trust me" and nothing happened until the day before I left and then they were all in mandatory training. (thank you Cecelia and Resha for helping me bail this situation out). The thing that really affected my stay the most and what you the reader need to be made aware of was that there were several events of drug use in the facility, specifically THC vape pens. The facility needs to do a much better job of monitoring for illicit drugs. They state they have a drug dog on placards around the facility, but there was never one present during my stay and I suspect this was from the days when they belonged to Memorial Herman. The worst part, on one occasion, a resident was caught using the drugs, was not remorseful, was not taking the program seriously at all (did not attend groups, slept all day, wandered around smoking vape inside, etc) and was just allowed to stay. When this was escalated, the only answer given was we did not know the whole story, but what more to the story is there than they used drugs and got caught ( I was present during this entire escapade) The rules for the facility that are received on day 1 state clearly that possession, distribution or use of illicit drugs is strictly prohibited and are grounds for "IMMEDIATE DISCHARGE". I spoke up about this during our community group and was pulled to the side and found out it was because this person did not have a place to go. I stated that they do have a place to go, they can either be kicked out like every other person would be for doing the same thing or moved to a higher level facility (Level 4).In reflection, I enjoyed this facility immensely but there is not a formalized feedback methodology that actually promises results, overcrowding is a very present issue (this is a for profit deal remember), staffing among care coordinators, counselors and nurses are not appropriate to the number of patients and the rules are seemingly very flexible (i suspect unless you have great insurance lol). Thank you. Lastly before I leave, there is one BHT that either needs an attitude adjustment or just shouldn't be working there anymore. Her name starts with a Sh. You all know who she is if you have been there. She needs to be addressed.

Of course there were little things I didn t like so much but they were usually minor like eating in front of others.( I have severe anxiety) Words cannot express how grateful I am to this place, and maybe it was because I went to an amazing unit but I felt safe and comfortable. I ve actually joked to my family saying If I ever have another mental breakdown, this is where I wanna go . I expected the reviews to be incredibly high though so I m quite surprised, maybe I got the location wrong? (This is simply my perspective of my time here, don t take my word for it, simply consider it for a moment.)I actually cried so hard when I had to leave, and the staff was comforting me, making sure that I was alright.I felt like I had to leave a review just to wish another person would have this experience as well.

edit three years later cus i did actually end up returning in 2024. still the sweetest staff, unit ATP rules yo.. and the food is amazing. superb bedding and amenties. ur not a patient here, just another human being receiving genuine and real care from other human beings. cannot recommend menninger enough. what a saving grace[2021 review] - i've been to a few different hospitals, and menninger puts every other hospital to shame. the staff here actually made me feel cared about. the therapy was helpful, and the nurses are easy to get along with. the food is outstanding! they had a panini grill, dessert everyday, a cafe, and so many food options. they have a nice pool, that i've never used, but my friends enjoyed going. :) the rooms are amazing as well. they have very clean rooms with a very comfortable chair and lovely bedding as well. you actually have space on the bed, wow! the overall experience was so joyful. i love this place and i'll keep the memories i have with me for such a long time. you'll meet some of the best people there, from different locations as well. easily the best i've been to :)

out of all the treatment centers and facilities i ve gone to, menninger is for sure the best one. i was in the adolescent program almost a year ago. the nurses and techs check up on us very often. we still have time to ourselves in our rooms to journal, listen to music on our mp3s that are provided, or we can go out in the day room and talk to other patients. girl and guy hall is split in the adolescent unit (at least thats how it was when i was there). we do at 3-5 groups a day, which take 20 minutes to an hour each. we also get individual appointments depending on what we re there for. this place may be expensive but its very worth it if you want comfort and help. the nurses and techs are there to talk and the place is really clean. rooms get cleaned everyday and the food is actually pretty good considering its at an inpatient hospital. there is a separate room for adults and adolescents to eat. overall, menninger was a great experience considering the circumstances and the best hospital i went to. the inpatient and outpatient were both very nice and all the staff is nice

"Paul Centeno is a truly exceptional peer support specialist. While he may not always present with the polished demeanor some expect, his genuine care and unwavering dedication to his clients are what truly set him apart. Paul's own journey through the E2E program makes him uniquely relatable and an inspiring example of hope and recovery. He understands the challenges his clients face because he's lived them.During my time in the E2E program at Precinct 2, Paul played a pivotal role in our success. Our group was selected to meet with high-ranking officials, including the commissioner, mayor, and sheriff, a testament to the positive impact we were making. While Paul wasn't physically present at the meeting, his influence was undeniable. He consistently encouraged us to give our best, offering understanding and support on even the most difficult days. He fostered a strong sense of camaraderie within our group, which was crucial to our collaborative success.I feel incredibly fortunate to have been part of this program, and I acknowledge the contributions of the entire team at Career & Recovery, especially Ms. Hopes, Tony, Javier, and Ivone. Their dedication is evident. Furthermore, the deputies who worked with us were also instrumental in our success. Specifically, Mr. Medina, Mr. Molina, Sgt. Perez, and two other deputies whose names escape me at the moment, were all amazing and supportive. Their combined efforts created a truly impactful environment. However, if I were to choose a peer support specialist again, without hesitation, it would be Paul. His authenticity, empathy, and lived experience make him an invaluable asset to the E2E program. He is living proof that recovery is possible, and his clients are truly blessed to have him in their corner."

I started drinking more than I should, and I needed some help to get realigned. I searched for several outpatient programs, however, after reading the Reviews for this specific location I decided to give them a try. You get what you put in. If you re serious and you want to be a better version of yourself then pour into the groups, pour into the conversations and activities. I wholeheartedly believe that anyone dealing with addiction of any sort will benefit from this program. Ladies you are wonderful, I cannot thank you enough!

The program lasts five weeks, with clients receiving 10 to 15 hours of treatment each week. You'll find 'em located in Houston, Texas. PaRC Memorial’s Dick | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I want to first say that my time at the PaRC was a wonderful experience and was probably the best 30 days of my life.

Houston is the 115th most expensive city nationwide for addiction treatment affordability, with an average cost of addiction treatment of $58014. This is comparable to the average cost of $56623 for addiction treatment in Texas and comparable to the national average cost for drug rehab of $57,193.
The costs of drug and alcohol rehab in Houston vary widely and depend on several factors, including:
The costs of addiction treatment listed for cities and states are averages based on the cost of medical detox, inpatient rehab, outpatient rehab, and medication assisted treatment. These averages are high due to the cost of medical detoxification and residential inpatient rehab programs.
These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below. There are many ways to pay for drug rehab in Houston. Most rehab treatment centers accept cash or self-payment, as well as private health insurance. However, there are many treatment centers in Houston that accept Medicaid and Medicare, or offer sliding scale payments or other low-cost payment options. Here's the complete breakdown of how to pay for addiction treatment near Houston.
Aetna is the most widely-accepted insurance for drug rehabs in Houston, with 42 treatment centers in the city accepting their insurance. Blue Cross Blue Shield is the 2nd most popular with 42 treatment centers accepting it followed by Cigna in 3rd accepted by 38 drug rehabs.
Houston has the 305th highest rate of drug use nationwide among nearly 400 cities surveyed. This number reflects the combined use of cocaine, heroin, meth, and marijuana, displayed individually below. The percent shown for each drug represents the number of residents in Harris county that have reported ever using the following drugs, so these numbers should not be interpreted as direct evidence of current drug use in Houston or Harris county as a whole.
In 2023, Houston had the 2nd highest number narcotics violations out of 330 cities nationwide, with a total of 7995 reported drug-related incidents that year. This includes cases of public intoxication, drug arrests, narcotics found during house calls and traffic stops, and any other drug-related crime.
Keep in mind these numbers are dependent on accurate record keeping and reporting laws by local police and sheriffs, and may not fully reflect all drug related crime in Houston. All values are per 100,000 population.
