The Orchard changed my life! Between the staff, counselors, and management there unified goal is something I have never seen! From the minute you arrive you are greeted with hellos, smiles, and staff focused solely on you and your recovery. With accomodations similar to a 5 star resort you won't find another facility that pays attention to the little details. Lastly, what I believe makes The Orchard the best in the country....is there program. While learning about addiction, Counselors work with you to address the underlying issues that started you down your addiction journey. I was able to tackle years of trauma and unspoken issues that once addressed freed me from the shackles of addiction. Since leaving the Orchard I have remained sober and The O will always be a place of healing and hope! If your looking for the real deal- this is the place you want to be!

Positive Recovery is a game changer. I've been on my own recovery road for years by myself but l've never been able to connect all the pieces to stay sober. PRC provided me with tools I could use on a day to day basis that help me through life's situations as they come. Glenn, one of the counselors at the Cinco Ranch location, is very insightful and actually in recovery himself. He could relate to what I've been through and what I go through daily. He taught me about what my brain is going through and actually backs it up with scientific studies and evidence. I am excited about my future today. Like I said PRC is a game changer.

I've been to a bunch of rehab centers over the years some were decent, and others left a lot to be desired. When I first walked into Positive Recovery, I was expecting the same old, repetitive lessons I'd heard a million times before. Boy, was I in for a surprise! At the Cinco Ranch location, Glenn completely redefined my experience. His approach is genuinely refreshing he creates a safe, welcoming space that makes you actually look forward to coming back.I remember my first Monday group session; it was impressive to see a mix of people, including some who've been attending for months. One person even mentioned they drive over 40 miles just to be part of the group! Glenn s unique style is not only engaging and fun, but it also provides practical, real-life insights that go far beyond just staying sober. His sessions taught me valuable lessons about life, renewing my passion and hope for the future. If you're looking for a recovery program that feels more like a supportive community rather than a repetitive class, I highly recommend giving this place a try. Thanks, Glenn, for breathing new life into my recovery journey!

PRC Cinco was the perfect choice for my recovery. I completed the PHP program and cannot recommend it enough to those battling addiction. The program and curriculum are wonderful, but it s Glenn (the counselor), who I will always owe my sobriety and so much more to. He made me feel comfortable and seen from day 1 and his passion and knowledge in what he does is inspiring. I will continue after care as long as the doors are open!

New Dimensions has helped me to start to change negative thought patterns that I have struggle with for years. Their staff is fantastic and caring. I enrolled as a patient at New Dimensions with no prior experience with iop. I called all around Houston and I gave this center a chance because they were the first ones to pick up the phone with a sense of compassion in their voices. I am an adult in my late 20s with alcohol and substance abuse history and I have ptsd from past traumas in my life as well as severe manic depression. My life had gotten to a place of complete unmanageability. I was scared that my diseases would eventually cause my inevitable death and I did not know any of the tools I needed to be a healthy functioning adult. All of that slowly and subtly started to change and improve because of the professional guidance I received from ALL of my therapists and counselors there. I learned how to replace bad habits with healthy ones and I choose my well being over the things that I can't change on a daily basis, one day at a time. I will always feel a sense of gratitude to this facility.

I was a patient here, staff was excellent, accountability, staff was patient, kind, truly cared, and were helpful. They even allowed for a church called the EXIT church to come and have church with us, and hold a place where we could worship and get to know Jesus and because they let that happen I am beyond grateful to God and odyssey house. As well as The Exit church. I was transformed by God in this place. I got away from all the distractions and noise that was killing me slowly and got around people that loved me and would hold me accountable here, i still connect with people there to this day. Odyssey house was amazing for me. I really enjoyed it there, and I was changed walking out of there after 67 days. I was a lonely, angry, bitter drug addict, who had nothing but hate and wanted himself to die and everyone else around him walking in there. But walking out I had a new heart, mind, body, and soul. I wanted nothing more than to love people, to forgive people, to be patient and kind. To forgive myself and move onward to loving God and loving people and connecting with others, and serving love, I walked out of Odyssey house as a kid who wanted nothing more than to talk about Jesus, and not drugs, sex, fighting, money, or anything else, instead I had new desires I had never experienced before to be merciful and kind and to let go. I had new desires to truly love my family and all those around me after leaving Odyssey house. Shoutout to Mr. Roy, Mr. K, Mrs. Denise, Ms. TT, Mr. Moore, Chef C, and all the other staff that helped me along the way.

This facility is doing a great job, doing the actual work of saving the lives of children who may not yet see the value in their own lives. My dad has struggled with drug addiction for 25+ years. He recently had a massive heart attack due to drug use and his situation was becoming dire. We knew if he didn't get help he wasn't going to make it much longer. He finally agreed to get treatment and my sister found this place. He went from not wanting to go to rehab to not wanting to leave this place. He absolutely loved it and loves everyone there. He considers them family. He completed his treatment and the staff is still there to offer him support and help him succeed. Andy has been amazing at helping him find out patient programs. They truly care here. This place was truly a life saver!! They stopped what they were doing twice within 3 weeks to come rescue me from myself over an hour and a half away. The staff is amazing and really care about your state of well-being. They don't care if you like them, they care if you live and that's the most comforting thing about this place. Oh and the snacks they offer left a stamp on my heart forever... Seriously though. This place was amazing and a saving grace!!

Prevention and Recovery Center (PaRC) is a substance abuse treatment facility in Houston, Texas. They offer outpatient programming, which provides flexibility for those wanting to continue working or attending school while getting care. The location is convenient, near the George Bush and William P. Hobby airports and the University of Houston for
I want to first say that my time at the PaRC was a wonderful experience and was probably the best 30 days of my life. Most of the personnel working there were exceptional humans and 85% are actually in recovery so they know exactly what you are going through. The support, the mental wellbeing staff, counselors and care coordination team are, for the most part phenomenal. I wanted to give a big shout out to Ernie, Anthony, Tuliesha, Cecelia, Amad, Resha, Derrick, Darrel, Gabriel, Gabriella, Ryan, Veronica, David, Lilly, Ms Linda, Xavier, Tara and Mary as well as John A, Tonya and Joel from the Alumni team for their exceptional support throughout my stay and help developing a rock solid exit plan. All this being said, I want to make people aware that this facility has no problem filling their building well past the capacity for the number of staff they have. There were quite often too few nurses to handle the number of people that had to get medications both in the morning and at night. Zero processes were in place and it became a zoo. I can only speak for my counselor, but by the time I left she was too busy as she completely missed setting up my family one on one. She just stated "I just ran out of time". In addition, my care coordinator was a nice guy but completely and utterly dropped the ball on my sober living and a few other big ticket items I needed to depart and I was nearly left without a place to stay (homeless) if I had not taken action. I attempted to stay involved but I was just told to "trust me" and nothing happened until the day before I left and then they were all in mandatory training. (thank you Cecelia and Resha for helping me bail this situation out). The thing that really affected my stay the most and what you the reader need to be made aware of was that there were several events of drug use in the facility, specifically THC vape pens. The facility needs to do a much better job of monitoring for illicit drugs. They state they have a drug dog on placards around the facility, but there was never one present during my stay and I suspect this was from the days when they belonged to Memorial Herman. The worst part, on one occasion, a resident was caught using the drugs, was not remorseful, was not taking the program seriously at all (did not attend groups, slept all day, wandered around smoking vape inside, etc) and was just allowed to stay. When this was escalated, the only answer given was we did not know the whole story, but what more to the story is there than they used drugs and got caught ( I was present during this entire escapade) The rules for the facility that are received on day 1 state clearly that possession, distribution or use of illicit drugs is strictly prohibited and are grounds for "IMMEDIATE DISCHARGE". I spoke up about this during our community group and was pulled to the side and found out it was because this person did not have a place to go. I stated that they do have a place to go, they can either be kicked out like every other person would be for doing the same thing or moved to a higher level facility (Level 4).In reflection, I enjoyed this facility immensely but there is not a formalized feedback methodology that actually promises results, overcrowding is a very present issue (this is a for profit deal remember), staffing among care coordinators, counselors and nurses are not appropriate to the number of patients and the rules are seemingly very flexible (i suspect unless you have great insurance lol). Thank you. Lastly before I leave, there is one BHT that either needs an attitude adjustment or just shouldn't be working there anymore. Her name starts with a Sh. You all know who she is if you have been there. She needs to be addressed.

I feel blessed that I began my recovery journey at Taylor Recovery Center. If Alcohol and/or Drugs are making your life unmanageable, please consider coming to this beautiful facility. You are able to bring your Dog or Cat with you and keep your cell phone 24/7 while beginning the sober way of life. That is a blessing most rehabs don't allow! The place is immaculate and the full-size beds are very comfortable. The counselors are extremely knowledgeable in addiction and mental health. My counselor Jude was always available to talk and I will use the tools she gave me to prevent a future relapse.I definitely can't say enough about the lead tech Stephanie - always going above and beyond - she has a way about her that can talk "ANYONE OFF THE LEDGE" She has saved many lives by showing empathy and sincere love for the addict that still suffers. All of the techs are truly amazing. To name a few - Lauren, AJ, Haley, Lauren C, Taylor, James, Katy, Delsa and Lady AJ!!! Every one of them were so kind and patient with the clients. And now I come to "THE CHEF - JOHN" and his assistant Jose. Every day he puts out a display of culinary delights from "Omelets made to order" and "Friday Night is Steak Night" to freshly baked warm cookies that he hand delivers to everyone!!!! Most days you feel like you re dining in a 5-star restaurant.I highly recommend starting your new my way of life at Taylor!!!

Best time of my life; it was the staff, the food and the people along side me as patients, that were all really lovely. Of course there were little things I didn t like so much but they were usually minor like eating in front of others.( I have severe anxiety) Words cannot express how grateful I am to this place, and maybe it was because I went to an amazing unit but I felt safe and comfortable. I ve actually joked to my family saying If I ever have another mental breakdown, this is where I wanna go . I expected the reviews to be incredibly high though so I m quite surprised, maybe I got the location wrong? (This is simply my perspective of my time here, don t take my word for it, simply consider it for a moment.)I actually cried so hard when I had to leave, and the staff was comforting me, making sure that I was alright.I felt like I had to leave a review just to wish another person would have this experience as well.

edit three years later cus i did actually end up returning in 2024. still the sweetest staff, unit ATP rules yo.. and the food is amazing. superb bedding and amenties. ur not a patient here, just another human being receiving genuine and real care from other human beings. cannot recommend menninger enough. what a saving grace[2021 review] - i've been to a few different hospitals, and menninger puts every other hospital to shame. the staff here actually made me feel cared about. the therapy was helpful, and the nurses are easy to get along with. the food is outstanding! they had a panini grill, dessert everyday, a cafe, and so many food options. they have a nice pool, that i've never used, but my friends enjoyed going. :) the rooms are amazing as well. they have very clean rooms with a very comfortable chair and lovely bedding as well. you actually have space on the bed, wow! the overall experience was so joyful. i love this place and i'll keep the memories i have with me for such a long time. you'll meet some of the best people there, from different locations as well. easily the best i've been to :)

out of all the treatment centers and facilities i ve gone to, menninger is for sure the best one. i was in the adolescent program almost a year ago. the nurses and techs check up on us very often. we still have time to ourselves in our rooms to journal, listen to music on our mp3s that are provided, or we can go out in the day room and talk to other patients. girl and guy hall is split in the adolescent unit (at least thats how it was when i was there). we do at 3-5 groups a day, which take 20 minutes to an hour each. we also get individual appointments depending on what we re there for. this place may be expensive but its very worth it if you want comfort and help. the nurses and techs are there to talk and the place is really clean. rooms get cleaned everyday and the food is actually pretty good considering its at an inpatient hospital. there is a separate room for adults and adolescents to eat. overall, menninger was a great experience considering the circumstances and the best hospital i went to. the inpatient and outpatient were both very nice and all the staff is nice

I graduated from fulshear a couple days ago and it completely changed my life. I came into fulshear with chronic suicidal ideation, a severe self harm addiction that had already lasted 9 years, extremely ingrained self hatred, and substance abuse problems. I was at fulshear for one year, divided into 6 months on the ranch and 6 months at the apartments. The ranch was so difficult. It pushed me to my extremes, but the staff there made it so that I felt loved. The apartments were less difficult in some ways, but more difficult in other ways, it was essentially a test to see how much I was able to apply what I learned on the ranch. I had some setbacks, but I pushed myself and got a job, did school, and applied to college. The staff here is my family, they love me unconditionally, and just feeling so loved has helped me so much. I have met so many people that I know will be in my life forever. I found my best friends in this program, and I still talk to them every single day even after they graduated. I am now no longer suicidal, I am a year and 3 months sober, 8 months free of self harm and 9 months out from my last suicide attempt. Because of fulshear I finally understand what it feels like to be normal. I have been to countless programs, but if you are willing to work hard, and want to go to a program that will actually work. Go to fulshear.

This is one of the most incredible, inclusive, and inspiring facilities I have ever had the pleasure of attending. The staff members are some of the most compassionate and intelligent people to walk the earth. From the dietitians to the therapists, from the techs to the facilitators, everyone there is so educated and beyond qualified for their position. And, aside from just their job description, they are some of the most empathetic and incredible people I have ever met. At admission, I was not buying the entire recovery thing. But since then, I have learned things here concerning my self and the world that have forever transformed my life and my perspective on it. I thank God everyday that He gave me the opportunity to cross paths with this organization and the wonderful characters which constitute it. I strongly encourage you to look into attending cfd houston. I am very confident in saying that it will forever change your life in a way which you will never regret.

Chantal and Valerie were always helpful and responsive to my son s needs. He needed a stress-free environment to get back on track and learn to enjoy life again. The Psychiatrist appears to be too busy or something.

I was a patient here and was treated fairly good, there really isn t much communication with the psychiatrist to the therapist to you about discharge dates, or more information about your treatment plan but the therapist make up for it. I was blessed to have Mr. Z and Ms. Samurah as my therapists and can not emphasize enough!! To give them full credit of my mental health improvement. With them I have truly progressed so much and got the right therapy for me. Being able to talk to them and getting the right support from them has made me able to be more adaptable, find the right coping mechanisms for me, and accept my struggle and truly learn from this and grow as a person. Thank you to them! There are no complaints in that department. I hope they see this and continue to help other people and empower them just like they did for me. Thank you thank you thank you. Although one complaint is the lack of communication given to you about your schooling. I got super behind and just wish that my assignments could have been either1. Sent directly to me or 2. Once I returned to school, given extra time to complete everything that I missed out on. I really had to vouch for myself when I got back to school to be given time to turn in everything without late points. In general not too bad of a place coming from a patient that had my stay.

Sadly, this is the most recent of many hospitals that we have visited throughout my family member s health journey. However, this facility is not like the rest! It was a HUGE blessing to be greeted by a kind front office staff who immediately showed compassion and competence (thank you Kristina). Our intake nurse - Kathy - was incredible. She took the time to listen and find solutions, demonstrating such empathy and care. It is NEVER easy leaving a loved one in a hospital, and this facility made it as easy as it could be under the circumstances. Thank you Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire.

I was a patient in the adult IOP program at Discovery Mood & Anxiety for about 3 months. When I say this place, and its therapists, saved my life, I'm not exaggerating. When I was admitted, I probably should've been hospitalized rather than in outpatient, but my circumstances wouldn't allow for me to put my life on hold to get better without losing everything. The team at this facility were very understanding and supportive of this decision, and they worked with me diligently to make sure that I didn't experience a lack of care. While both of the therapists here are fantastic, I specifically want to call out Jae Barlow. She was nothing short of a tremendous help to me, and she was one of the most relatable and compassionate therapists I've ever met. I will forever be grateful for the care I received in this facility, not just from the staff, but from the other patients, as well. There was never a time when I felt unwelcome or unsupported. Everyone is there to heal, and it shows. If you feel like you need that extra level of mental health care like I did, I definitely recommend this place. It's too easy to find facilities that feel cold and lack compassion, but this place was anything but that.

I really have nothing to say bad about this Clinic, I See plenty of Neg reviews however I have been twice with just walk ins due to I am transferring in the system from overseas. Try walking in a Clinic in the Private world, not happening and not at no cost to you. I have been treated fair and well here in Katy and again no complaints. I have all my medications and the providers and nurses all have been nice and courteous. Today I left with clear instructions of my next events in the Va Health System

Read almost all the comments before walking into this clinic!!! Came to establish care since getting out little over a year ago. The mental health nurse went over and beyond making sure I got my meds before I left since I ran out a while ago. I eventually established care and got pretty quick appt dates coming up. Fingers crossed they don t cancel on me as I ve read it s possible. The only reason for the 4 is because the original person that helped me before being passed off seem like she really didn t wanna help me.

My daughter was experimenting with alcohol and vaping. Teen and Family Services provided an accurate assessment of her needs, provided recommendations and willingness to follow up if things got worst. She has been maintaining her grades and working significant hours at a job. Thanks to them I did not overreact or under react. It is difficult as a parent, it was comforting to get an objective perspective.

I went through TAFS when I was 18-19. I am 26 now. TAFS was my first experience with any kind of substance abuse program. I learned so much about myself, but I was young. I wasn’t ready to change, but years later I did. Because I had this early experience with TAFS I knew that there was a place I could go for recovery. Even though I was young, I remembered the tools that TAFS gave me, and I remember that I could be happy. I knew my life was worth living. I had exceptional experiences with the counselors there, whom I felt really cared about me. I was able to mend relationships with my family as well. I strongly recommend this place to anyone who is struggling with addiction or mental health. (No matter how young)
