This place has hand to God saved my life! My counselor Mrs.Amy was the first person in 20 years of battling addiction that made me feel like a person again. She made me realize i mattered and my life was worth saving. Between her the medication and continued counseling I am proud to say after 20 years I’m finally clean and sober for 120 days and counting!!!!

I was a patient here twice the most recent being 3/2021-9/2021. I was sent because I ran out of options. I didn’t want to listen to anyone and I thought I knew what was best for me. I hated the idea of having to go. At first, I thought it was the worst place ever. Then I decided to open up and really work the program. It is a very therapeutic place. Yes there’s drama and there’s some issues with staff but as long as you do what you’re supposed to do it’s a great place to get help. I would recommend wcy to anyone parent dealing with a child who has behavioral or mental health issues. It was the best thing that could’ve happened to me.

I spend a lot of time at the community and truly enjoy every visit! The hospitality is always great, it is a beautiful community with great natural lighting and sitting nooks throughout. I appreciate the different price points to fit different family needs. I’ve had lunch and appetizers several times and they’ve always been very tasty. They have free transportation for their residents and their transportation driver is so fun, caring and happy to be at work every single day. Their mission is to walk alongside men in recovery through lived experience, fellowship and spiritual growth,
I have waited a month to compose a review of Recovered and Free. I wanted to see how my son reacted to sober living in the "real world" after 2 1/2 decades of chaos. I can tell you that Recovered and Free , returned to me, a healthy male adult. A man, willing to help and be a productive and resourceful member of society. He found housing at a sober living facility in Waco, and without transportation or a pocket full of money, he found work through a "temp" agency that embraced the newly sober individual. For the first time in his life he has become self supporting. He is able to navigate AA meetings, a full day's work AND his laundry. His reaction to adversity is now sane and organized, instead of "let's burn it ALL down". Recovered and Free has the goal of producing "sober gentlemen", and they DID that. My son signed on for 90 days. As he neared the end of his time there, he had a bad day and was packing to leave in anger and frustration. Given some time alone, and a little help from Colin, he made a decision to stay another month instead, and that corner was turned. That night the light came on and the difference was made. He accomplished a lot in the extra month after starting his 12 steps over AGAIN. He now knows accountability, honesty, and self worth. He knows that hard work comes with rewards. He knows the value of nutrition and a good night's sleep. He IS a sober gentleman. I cannot say enough good things about this male based facility, teaching men their value, their responsibilities to family and community. This program is EFFECTIVE. I made my first call to Recovered and Free well after midnight. Don picked up the phone, gave me an honest appraisal of what was expected from a new client and their family, and then explained their pricing. (After 2 "privileged" rehabs, I was a little gun shy). Everything was doable, and we drove my son 385 miles from jail to Hubbard. The rest remains to be seen. Thank you Colin, Don, and all the others. You did a GOOD job.

This place literally saved my life! Went downhill after my discharge from the army and lost myself, this place helped me find me again! Naomi, jahiara, Felix, and every single member of the staff are AMAZING!! I have been to rehab before, and this place is tier 1! Never have I had so much support, love and kindness from clients and staff, they gently care about recovery and give you the tools needed after you leave! Amazing food, comfortable and clean rooms, service dog friendly, activities and outings are part of the schedule, and phones and laptops are allowed as well, which helped me a lot to build a new support system and helped me find my way into college and a job! Also an amazing veterans program! Steve and Tasha (the vet group leaders) are versed both in recovery, as well as military issues, and know how to connect and understand VERY well! Dr. Raj (the owner) is a combat veteran and is also a HUGE help to both vets and clients, he’s been a true blessing! If you are struggling with ANY type of addiction, I HIGHLY recommend this center! I can’t thank this program enough for everything they did for my daughter. When she first arrived, she was scared, emotional, and unsure of what to expect. As a parent, that was hard to watch. But over time, I saw such a beautiful transformation. She grew to genuinely love the staff, her peers, and the program itself. She always talked about the fun activities, the friendships she made, and how supported she felt every day. It meant so much to know she was in an environment where she felt safe, cared for, and encouraged to grow. The staff treated her with kindness, patience, and compassion, and those are things that I will never forget. By the time it was time for her to leave, she wasn’t ready to go. She had built such strong bonds with the staff and the other kids that saying goodbye was emotional for everyone. Seeing how much she had grown and how much this place had come to mean to her speaks volumes about the incredible people who work here. Of course, no place is perfect. We had one small hiccup during our time here, but it was nothing major and it never took away from the wonderful care my daughter received. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this program to other families. My daughter made lifelong memories, formed meaningful friendships, and experienced love and support from people who truly cared about her well-being. Thank you to every staff member who played a part in her journey. Your kindness, dedication, and compassion made a lasting impact on both my daughter and our family. We will always be grateful. Thanks to all Cedar Crest Staff Members ;) Sincerely Jessica & Alexia B 🩷

As a former student at Resolution Ranch Academy I honestly can't say enough good things about this place, I was sent here early December 2023 by my parents to be given a chance to turn my life around/to abandon the negative lifestyle that I was living. Before attending the ranch I was on a daily basis using drugs, skipping school, and disregarding authority all together. I won't lie and say this place was easy or that all my problems in life are gone because of my time at the ranch, but I will say if you are truly able to help your kid understand that change needs to happen and that the way he is living currently isn't working and that this place isn't a punishment, you can expect positive change. The staff there do truly care and want to see the best for you many of whom I still keep in contact with after graduating recently January of this year. The therapists there are also really empathetic most especially the one who I was assigned with, Mr. Clayton. He would consistently go out of his way to check in with his other students not because he was required to but because he cared, I can remember the countless times where it would be hours past his shift and he would still be there talking and processing with me to help me deal with my emotions and problems that I was struggling with. Thanks to the ranch I was able to excel at school and was able to turn my thoughts of wanting to dropout into now pursuing my education even further. The teachers there are super supportive and are willing to help you any chance they can and because of this I was able to go into the ranch mid way through my sophomore year of high school and come out a year later a high school graduate. As I mentioned before, yes this place can be difficult however anything worth doing WILL take time and on top of that your effort into whatever it is you are working on. If you choose to go in with a bad mindset chances are not much will change, but if you truly dedicate yourself to change I can promise you that you will be rewarded for your hard work. Lastly, I'd like to thank the ranch once again for all that they have done and the opportunities that they provided for me to be able to succeed in life in a way that I was unsure on how to do before.

Sending our son to Resolution Ranch was a tough decision, but it ended up being the best one we could have made. Struggling with behavioral issues, we felt lost. Resolution Ranch's compassionate staff provided exceptional, individualized care including excellent therapy. The therapists are skilled, family therapy was invaluable, the teachers are invested and the supportive community fostered growth in our son. Our child returned home transformed, with improved self-awareness and coping skills. Even typing this out gives me great joy to see how much better he has been.Needless to say we're deeply grateful and highly recommend Resolution Ranch Academy!!!

If you really want help & are serious about getting help with your addiction I highly recommend Christian Farms. Today I can say I've been clean for over a year & a half due to largely impart of Christian Farms. I STILL STAND BY THIS STATEMENT - The grammar errors. Coming up 8years in Nov. 9-20-24 Just celebrated 10 years! 11/25

My recovery journey started here in the summer of 2002. I stayed 91 days. Reading, writing & listening. I'm almost three and a half years sober now. This place wasn't the cure for my addictions, because there is no cure, but it was the place that allowed me to learn how to start building a solid foundation for soberity. The work continues. When the student is ready the teacher will come. Thank you CFT.

I spent six weeks at this facility, and I can honestly say it was one of the most important and helpful experiences I’ve ever had for my mental health. From the very first day, I felt welcomed and supported. The environment itself is comfortable and structured. There are FREE snacks available, calm spaces, and a sense of safety that allows you to focus on healing. The program is thoughtfully designed. There are group mental health classes and process group that give you practical tools and techniques to deal with trauma and everyday struggles. On top of that, you get individual weekly individual therapy sessions and weekly meetings with a psychiatrist, so your care feels very personalized. The group therapies were especially meaningful for me — they don’t just teach coping skills, they also help patients support one another, creating a space where you don’t feel alone in your journey. What made the biggest difference for me were the people. Ms. Serenity and Ms. Kamiya are incredible therapists who bring warmth, patience, and real insight into every session. Nurse Amy is kind and attentive, always making sure patients are cared for. If you need laughter and giggle therapy, she is the one for it! Therapist Mark from San Antonio added a perspective and level of support that I’ll carry with me long after leaving. Each of them played a role in helping me feel understood and encouraged to grow. Also, Jesse from the STS program in San Antonio was very helpful in taking our minds off everything (wish that could happen more). And although I didn't get much time with her, Ms. Vanessa from San Antio was also very kind and professional. This program is especially valuable for active duty military members, who make up most of the patient community. Having others around me who understood the unique challenges that come with military life made the experience even more impactful. There’s a strong sense of connection and understanding that you just don’t find everywhere. One additional thought I had during my time here is how much music therapy and art therapy classes could further benefit this group. Many patients come from high-stress backgrounds where words don’t always feel like enough to process deep emotions. Creative outlets like music and art would provide new ways to express feelings, release tension, and build confidence. They could also encourage teamwork and bonding in ways that complement the existing therapies, giving patients even more tools to heal and grow. After six weeks, I left Laurel Ridge with new tools, stronger confidence, Lower Anxiety, and a deeper sense of hope. I would absolutely recommend this facility to anyone looking for real healing, structure, and support. The staff and program truly go above and beyond to help you break out of trauma bubbles and move forward.
