This place literally saved my life! Went downhill after my discharge from the army and lost myself, this place helped me find me again! Naomi, jahiara, Felix, and every single member of the staff are AMAZING!! I have been to rehab before, and this place is tier 1! Never have I had so much support, love and kindness from clients and staff, they gently care about recovery and give you the tools needed after you leave! Amazing food, comfortable and clean rooms, service dog friendly, activities and outings are part of the schedule, and phones and laptops are allowed as well, which helped me a lot to build a new support system and helped me find my way into college and a job! Also an amazing veterans program! Steve and Tasha (the vet group leaders) are versed both in recovery, as well as military issues, and know how to connect and understand VERY well! Dr. Raj (the owner) is a combat veteran and is also a HUGE help to both vets and clients, he’s been a true blessing! If you are struggling with ANY type of addiction, I HIGHLY recommend this center! Thank you virtue for everything!!!

I can’t say enough things about this place. Choosing to go to rehab is hard enough, but this place makes it so smooth and easy to get through it. I don’t know what I would do without Ms Naomi and Jahaira and the rest of the staff. They were the light in the dark and I feel so strong leaving and ready to take on a new sober life. Thank you Virtue!!

Dr. Sankaralingham , (general surgeon) and the anesthesiologist were the best !! I've had several procedures in my life time, with recovery being the worst part and I mean PAINFUL Like being hit by a bus!! So I was beyond shocked that my pain was limited to site of procedure. He is the best, best surgeon ever. The Advent staff were also so caring, and welcoming . From the start (administration) to discharge, all the nurses etc.. it was really a pleasant experience. I honestly will not go anywhere else and I'm transferring from Scott and White to Advent for Primary Care etc.. thank you Advent.

Laurel Ridge Treatment Center features behavioral health and addiction treatment in San Antonio, Texas. Their inpatient Mission Resiliency Program is just for active duty military personnel, veterans and their families, including kids and seniors. I spent six weeks at this facility, and I can honestly say it was one of the most important and helpful experiences I’ve ever had for my mental health. From the very first day, I felt welcomed and supported. The environment itself is comfortable and structured. There are FREE snacks available, calm spaces, and a sense of safety that allows you to focus on healing. The program is thoughtfully designed. There are group mental health classes and process group that give you practical tools and techniques to deal with trauma and everyday struggles. On top of that, you get individual weekly individual therapy sessions and weekly meetings with a psychiatrist, so your care feels very personalized. The group therapies were especially meaningful for me — they don’t just teach coping skills, they also help patients support one another, creating a space where you don’t feel alone in your journey. What made the biggest difference for me were the people. Ms. Serenity and Ms. Kamiya are incredible therapists who bring warmth, patience, and real insight into every session. Nurse Amy is kind and attentive, always making sure patients are cared for. If you need laughter and giggle therapy, she is the one for it! Therapist Mark from San Antonio added a perspective and level of support that I’ll carry with me long after leaving. Each of them played a role in helping me feel understood and encouraged to grow. Also, Jesse from the STS program in San Antonio was very helpful in taking our minds off everything (wish that could happen more). And although I didn't get much time with her, Ms. Vanessa from San Antio was also very kind and professional. This program is especially valuable for active duty military members, who make up most of the patient community. Having others around me who understood the unique challenges that come with military life made the experience even more impactful. There’s a strong sense of connection and understanding that you just don’t find everywhere. One additional thought I had during my time here is how much music therapy and art therapy classes could further benefit this group. Many patients come from high-stress backgrounds where words don’t always feel like enough to process deep emotions. Creative outlets like music and art would provide new ways to express feelings, release tension, and build confidence. They could also encourage teamwork and bonding in ways that complement the existing therapies, giving patients even more tools to heal and grow. After six weeks, I left Laurel Ridge with new tools, stronger confidence, Lower Anxiety, and a deeper sense of hope. I would absolutely recommend this facility to anyone looking for real healing, structure, and support. The staff and program truly go above and beyond to help you break out of trauma bubbles and move forward.

I can’t thank this program enough for everything they did for my daughter. When she first arrived, she was scared, emotional, and unsure of what to expect. As a parent, that was hard to watch. But over time, I saw such a beautiful transformation. She grew to genuinely love the staff, her peers, and the program itself. She always talked about the fun activities, the friendships she made, and how supported she felt every day. It meant so much to know she was in an environment where she felt safe, cared for, and encouraged to grow. The staff treated her with kindness, patience, and compassion, and those are things that I will never forget. By the time it was time for her to leave, she wasn’t ready to go. She had built such strong bonds with the staff and the other kids that saying goodbye was emotional for everyone. Seeing how much she had grown and how much this place had come to mean to her speaks volumes about the incredible people who work here. Of course, no place is perfect. We had one small hiccup during our time here, but it was nothing major and it never took away from the wonderful care my daughter received. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this program to other families. My daughter made lifelong memories, formed meaningful friendships, and experienced love and support from people who truly cared about her well-being. Thank you to every staff member who played a part in her journey. Your kindness, dedication, and compassion made a lasting impact on both my daughter and our family. We will always be grateful. Thanks to all Cedar Crest Staff Members ;) Sincerely Jessica & Alexia B 🩷

I was a client back in 2015 at Christian Farms. My experience there was life changing and life transforming. I've used methaphine hardcore for 18 years. I've found the staff to be friendly but firm. If you really want help & are serious about getting help with your addiction I highly recommend Christian Farms. My recovery journey started here in the summer of 2002. I stayed 91 days. Reading, writing & listening. I'm almost three and a half years sober now. I recommend the Arbor to anybody struggling with addiction and mental health. I was hesitant to leave my young daughter at home, but I am so grateful that I did so I could get the help I need to be the mom she needs today. I didn't feel like a number here. The women's house feels like a home, the food is good, it's not a cafeteria its chefs and they are awesome. Brand new gym equipment and facilitated exercise. But aside from all of that, it's the people who put their time into the clients at the arbor that I appreciate the most. I had never been to an AA centered treatment facility, and this was life changing. I met with my counselor, Kalli once a week and had the opportunity to meet with her more if I wanted to. I met with my recovery manger, Paula once a week as well. The Psych doctor, Kasey is ON HER GAME. I was able to meet with her within the first week of arrival. I felt like my needs and concerns were met across the board. Being surrounded by nature and horses was very therapeutic. Just about everyone working there is in recovery which I also respect and appreciate. Swing by the barn and meet with the horse ladies they are amazing, even if you don't want to do equine. The techs are amazing shout out to Laura, Kevin, and Trent!

The Arbor will forever be one of the places that forever changed the course of my life. I arrived at the Arbor immediately after spending six days in detox. I was terrified, ashamed, overwhelmed, and convinced that my life had completely fallen apart. I believed I had lost my marriage, my family, my career, and everything I had worked so hard for. Walking into residential treatment was never somewhere I imagined my life would take me. The Arbor gave me much more than a place where I couldn’t drink. It gave me the space to finally understand my addiction, look honestly at myself, begin dealing with the damage my drinking had caused, and learn how to live differently. The staff didn’t simply tell me what I wanted to hear. They challenged me, supported me, encouraged me, and helped me begin doing the work that recovery required. There was also something incredibly special about the community of women there. We came from completely different backgrounds and walks of life, yet somehow we understood one another in ways that people outside of addiction sometimes can’t. There were tears and incredibly hard days, but there was also laughter, prayer, encouragement, and friendships that made those difficult days a little easier. My faith also became an important part of my healing. I can look back now and see God’s hand in so many details that I couldn’t understand while I was living through them. I walked into The Arbor feeling broken and hopeless. I did not walk out with a perfect life or every relationship instantly repaired, but I walked out with hope, tools, accountability, and a foundation for recovery. And then I went home and kept doing the work. Today, more than three years after my last drink, I am still sober. My marriage and family are healing, and relationships I once feared I had destroyed have experienced restoration that I wasn’t sure was possible. My life today is something I honestly could not have imagined when I first came to The Arbor. Treatment wasn’t easy. There were moments I wanted to leave. There were things I didn’t want to hear and things about myself I didn’t want to face. But looking back, I am grateful that treatment wasn’t simply made comfortable for me. I needed people willing to help me face the truth while also reminding me that my life was worth fighting for. I will always be grateful for The Arbor, the staff who poured into me, the women who walked beside me, and the role this place played in my recovery. It will forever be a transforming part of my story.

I went to the Arbor at my rock bottom in 2023. My life was falling apart around me and I could not pull myself out of the despair. My family reached out to the Arbor for help and I’m so grateful that they did. My time at the Arbor changed my life. My addiction had taken me so deep into despair that I didn’t even know where to begin to get my life back on track. The staff at the Arbor took their time to help me learn about myself and find out who I am. The time and care they took to teach me about addiction, boundaries, family systems and reliance on a higher power changed how I was able to approach life. They gave me the support and resources I needed to live a life in recovery and it has been beautiful. My family life, personal accountability and interpersonal relationships have completely shifted to allow for real connection for the first time in my life. This program works if you work it. I was at my lowest point 3 years ago and now I will be getting married to the love of my life this upcoming year. I owe everything to the Arbor and the people who make this place what it is.
