I came here barely alive, hopelessly alcoholic after years of heavy daily drinking. Going on 15 months sober. I wouldnt be here if it wasn't for them. I thought I'd need a 30-day program after, but i felt so much better by day 5 that I resolved to not drink again, and still havent. They have the drug cocktail down to a science, I barely felt any serious withdrawls. The nurses are very attentive albeit DMV-ish at times, which is a good thing in that context. The staff is very kind and caring, experienced and understanding. No nurse ratchet here. You will be frustrated by some of their institutional policies, but they do a good job explaining why those policies are in place without being overbearing or condescending. The reasons I gave it 4 stars, not 5. This is not an indictment but constructive criticism, and a warning about what to expect if these issues matter to you: The food seems to be mostly cooked off site and reheated. It's stale institutional slop, with processed food snacks left out. Nothing on the menu is fresh or natural. I had some food sensitivites and they had trouble wrapping their heads around it. I ended up mostly eating fruit cups and bagels with cream cheese. You cannot order food in. This policy is in place because people will try to sneak things in and this facility does take on patients who are there against their wishes via parents, employment deal, or court order. If you're running a detox, you may want to consider serving healthier food? Fresh fruit instead of canned? some high fiber grains? real meat, not frozen food? I brought this up. Hopefully they fixed it. There wasn't much to do there. They had a room full of movie theater seats with a flatscreen, a broken guitar, some supermarket books, AA stuff, and a set of chairs outside. Mostly you sit around and talk, watch tv, or sleep. It's a small property but you can walk laps. There's no counseling at the detox. Some AA volunteer groups shows up once in a while to talk. It may be helpful for some. There should be an on site counselor that does that job full time. Everyone else has their own specific job and sitting down and talking to people 1 on 1 didnt seem to be part of the description. They seem to be focused entirely on the medical detox aspect of the process. If you need rehab, you do that after, or find a rehab that does detox on site.

Long story short, 35 years of hard drinking landed me in a ditch in a city I'm not even from. But I thank GOD every day for it! My desperation for change got me to Briarwood detox center. I was so scared but I was unusually willing to do anything, the night before waking up in that ditch I was contemplating suicide, again. For so many years I watched my life fall apart time and time again, over and over. I really never understood why I was unable to control my drinking. Leaving Briarwood and while being transported to Nova recovery center I didn't know what to expect but my anger and anxiety were already building. I still can't get over how amazing Nova looks, it pretty much relaxes you the minute you arrive! I had never been to "rehab" before so I was blown away by the beauty of the amenities and the attentive staff. So with that said, I was sweet and grateful to be there for about 48 hours and then I started being the walking talking character defect stage character I was, telling everyone how they should do their jobs and finding things, if not inventing things to complain about. I still get embarrassed sometimes of my actions and comments I made the first weeks of my stay. But what stands out is how the staff didn't even blink! I never got the reaction I would of deserved! I was loved on! I was given understanding and compassion! They treated me like the sick person who needed help, that I was! They dug in and held me accountable with truth and what I referrer to as grace. The Recovery specialist who work with us, for us and teach us vital solutions to my disease of alcoholism that I will be forever grateful for. From the frequent individual counseling sessions to the daily group counseling classes to the, "hey I need to talk!", I received an understanding of how to maintain my life of sobriety! Nova is a very important and special place to me so I could really go on and on but the main point I want to testify about is this, I'm truly a better person today because of the dedication to helping people by the Nova recovery family! Sincerely, Dustin❤️

Recovery unplugged changed my life in ways I never thought possible. The care for their clients went far beyond my expectations of rehabilitation centers. My counselor LuLu helped me find the understanding of myself needed to move forward from active addiction, my case manager Chloe provided me the resources needed to take the next steps, and my Alumni Coordinator Natalie has an incomparable heart for those in recovery as they take those next steps. The program also entrenches you in the Austin recovery community, intentionally becoming the connective tissue with society needed for rehabilitation from addiction. As someone who never wanted to step into rehab, I would recommend the program to anyone.

Our experience with Alpha has been nothing short of transformative for my 15-year-old son. When we first sought help following my son's overdose, I was overwhelmed with concern and uncertainty. But from the very first phone call, the staff made us feel supported and heard. The intake process was smooth, and they took the time to carefully explain every step of the program, ensuring we were fully informed and comfortable moving forward. The team of counselors, therapists, and support staff is exceptional. They truly understand the challenges young people face and have a unique ability to connect with teens in a compassionate and non-judgmental way. My son has made incredible progress, thanks to their individualized approach that takes into account not only the addiction itself, but also the emotional, psychological, and social factors that contribute to it. What stands out most about this center is their holistic approach. They don’t just treat the addiction—they work on building self-esteem, coping strategies, and life skills that are crucial for long-term success. The therapists created a safe space for my son to open up, express his feelings, and rebuild trust. It’s clear that the staff genuinely care about the well-being of their patients and their families. The outpatient program was tailored to my son's needs, allowing us to balance treatment with school and other activities. The center also encourages family involvement and offers parental support and therapy, which has been crucial for my understanding and support of my son's recovery journey. The progress I've seen in my teenager over the past few months is remarkable. Not only has he shown an improved attitude toward his recovery, but I've also noticed a significant positive shift in his overall mood and outlook on life. We are beyond grateful to Alpha for giving our family hope and helping my teenager reclaim his future. If you're looking for a compassionate, professional, and effective treatment program for a young person struggling with addiction, I wholeheartedly recommend Alpha 180. They truly saved my son and gave us the tools we need to continue on this journey together. Jenn Parent of Alpha Patient

I struggled with 8 years of addiction... I never wanted to be one of those people that had to say ah I man I had to go to rehab... but truly going to this place really was not at all like anything I expected it to be... this place was really awesome because it didn't feel like some typical boring office space just going over the same cheesy PowerPoint... but it actually was shockingly something I really enjoyed and ultimately looked forward to going each week. It felt like a family in a way, just in a place full of close friends who could all just kinda unload the weight of our problems, share our triumphs, relate to each others lives in ways that you just can't do with anyone else in your life who doesn't understand addiction. The staff here really cares, and it felt really personal like not just through a I care about my job kinda way but honestly like I'm passionate about wanting to see you make it! I want to help however I can so that you can be happy and free to enjoy living again... and I absolutely got that from this place! I am extremely grateful and highly recommend you give this place a try if you're even just thinking about getting clean... you can always leave lol but I promise you... you'll WANT to stay!

If you are debating whether sobriety is for you, I seriously recommend checking out Positive Recovery. I have struggled with alcohol my entire life and now I’m proud to say I’m coming up on 3 years of sobriety. My life has totally changed for the better. I can’t even put into words how much of a win it has been for my family and I, especially here just on a google review. Todd, the counselor, is the best I have ever seen and this was not my first time in a recovery center. If you are thinking about it at all, you probably need to give it a try. You owe it to yourself and your family. It works, I promise.

These people saved my life and my entire psyche. I have been away from addiction for over 15 years now. I often reflect on how profound that experience was going through their clinic. Before, I had moralized my distress, addiction and self-medication, viewing it as a personal flaw. But through their scientific system, I was able to heal and fully integrate back into society. It feels wild leaving a review for an institution like this 15 years later, but their impact is truly lifelong. I’m so grateful to Dr. Aeschbach, and to Dr. Aeschbach-Jachmann. They are true carers with a foundation in medicine and psychiatry that is sadly not found often. If any of you working at the clinic read this - thank you! The staff and support helped me through some of the most difficult years of my life in my early twenties.

If you are in need of mental help, freedom from addiction or a mixture of the two, this place is for you. The sheer amount of lives I have witnessed restored from this program is mind blowing. The Clinical staff are comparable to warriors that quite literally go to war against the things that are holding you back from being the best version of yourself. Is the program easy? Absolutely not, but usually, nothing that is worth completing is easy at all and for issues as complicated as mental health and addiction are, it goes without saying that a massive surge of effort and concern have to be applied but the staff here at this program make that giant of a task look more like bite sized and achievable goals. You will work very closely with not only your own therapist, but also every therapist on site. They have aftercare emphasis near the end of your program to ensure you aren't dumped into the street upon completion assuming you are one of the many people in this world that lack a support system, they also come up with long term plans that exceed simple necessities upon leaving which, if applied, will serve you extremely well in maintaining and growing durability in your mental health. I've been through just about every form of mental health help you can imagine. Short term programs, long term, group therapy, individualized therapy, inpatient, outpatient, the list goes on. All it took for me to change my life was a true desire to live, 1 and a half months in their inpatient care and 2 months of their outpatient program. Now I find myself taking steps for my future that I never imagined myself taking. The program caters to just about every life circumstance and they offer several routes so whether you can only attend it during the day and need to go home afterwards or whether you can commit your time to the inpatient portion of the program, they will work with you. If you are on the edge of that cliff in life, take one more leap of faith away from that edge and call them, I can personally attest to the restorative power that this place equipped me with and I hope that you join the many souls that have been strengthened and filled with a renewed desire for life through this organization. Shout-out to Clinical Staff, the Techs and all of the volunteers that give their time to Omega. I will never forget any of you.

I don't usually write reviews for businesses but this place and the staff have made such a difference in mine and other patients' lives, especially my counselor Becky and the receptionist Stacy. I see them bend over backwards every day to help me and everyone else who comes through here. I honestly don't know of any other business that will help get you to the clinic and back home when you can't find a ride. Just so you know, you can't ask for rides all the time, but for real emergencies, especially for people just starting their recovery, they'll go out of their way to help because they actually care. Come to think of it, the staff here are the only people I can think of who ask me not just if I'm doing okay on my medication, but if I'm doing okay period. Lately that's meant a lot. Methadone has made staying off fentanyl 100x easier, but it's also been the hardest thing I've done, staying off opiates after 12 years of daily use, especially with everything else going on in my life right now. This clinic's support has meant the world to me. I have a funny way of showing it though, I tend to go M.I.A. when things get hard. But even when she's got a full schedule, people waiting to see her, patients to check on in the lobby, my counselor Becky always finds a way to check on me and help me figure out whatever I'm dealing with so I can focus on staying sober instead of getting overwhelmed and giving up. That's something I know I need to work on myself. But I'm grateful for this medication and for a staff that makes this place a lifesaver for people like me. Thank you guys for everything you do! :)

I’ve been going to this clinic for nearly 4 years. I’ve seen management change. I’ve seen staff change, but the only thing that has never changed is my counselor. ARZA Is the coolest dude! Stacy came months back and she has completely changed the placess energy. It’s so welcoming now. The level of love and kindness at this office is top notch! These folks care! They give you room to get your recovery on track without harping you. They meet you where you’re at and help encourage you along the way. This program truly saved my life! Dr. Hahn is the COOOOOLEST doctor!! I wouldn’t dream of going to another clinic. They kinda feel like an extended family. 🩵💙 I love CMS North🩵💙

Paradigm highkey changed my life. I was really struggling and in a bad place before I came and after 42 days of treatment, I feel better than I have in years. The first few weeks were a little rough but after adjusting to the routine and embracing my treatment, I started to see actual change. The staff are so friendly and amazing and I made a ton of meaningful connections with other clients. Paradigm made such a big impact on my life that I sobbed when I left. I will really miss the people there but I feel way more prepared and ready to take on the outside world. I really recommend this facility if you are struggling with mental health/substance abuse.

Words can not explain the helpfulness of this organization in connecting families and their loved ones to appropriate treatment. I think highly of them and have had multiple interactions with several staff but the person I most commonly am in contact with would be Lani. She has been the best help and is truly a MVP of paradigm’s team. Her expertise is invaluable to professionals and patients along with their families.

I highly recommend Heartwood Recovery to anyone that is struggling with ANY sort of addiction. The facilities are fantastic, the staff is kind and welcoming while still able to hold accountability, comfortable living and great food. A 12 step program design, with a coping skill addition, allowed me to successfully move on from my addiction and rejoin my family and society as a better man.

my sister had an accident four months ago, which paralyzed her from the shoulders down. We were totally lost and none of us expected our family to be in this situation. Thank God she was sent to the Texas Neuro rehab center! They have helped us through every step of the way! They helped us with the insurance and the other resources that are available, and fought for my sister all the way. The therapists, nurses along with the entire staff are amazing! My sister has really bonded with them and it’s made this situation so much better! Our caseworker, Stephanie, was truly a godsend! We really would not have been able to make it this far without her help and guidance! Every day, I thank God for their help and assistance through this difficult time.

My sister was involved in a bad fall down some stairs and ended up needing surgery and is now paralyzed from her shoulders down. She was moved to the Texas Neuro Rehabilitation center after her surgery. We, as her family support, had ZERO idea what was next and how to proceed into the future. This is where we met Stephanie (her social worker) and ALL the wonderful staff at Texas Neuro Rehabilitation. What a Great group of folks! We know nothing about how to proceed from day One and Stephanie & the staff at Texas Neuro made us feel welcome and comfortable that we had made the right choice in our sister's care. Everyone at Texas Neuro is friendly and helpful. They are always there to answer any questions and help while Stephanie helped us make it through all the paperwork and contacts we needed to make to ensure that our sister was very well taken care of. I highly recommend the Texas Neuro Rehabilitation Center on all levels. Our sister is Happy there and really enjoys the staff and all her interactions during her stay. Excellent group of folks!! Thank you Texas Neuro Rehabilitation!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Legacy Recovery gave me far more than sobriety—it gave me my life back. When I arrived, I was searching for hope. What I found was a program that nurtured my mind, body, and spirit while providing the tools, structure, and accountability necessary to create lasting change. The professionalism, knowledge, and genuine care demonstrated by every member of the staff helped me grow in ways I could not have seen on my own. The program challenged me, supported me, and taught me how to live a life I never thought possible. Through counseling, education, fellowship, exercise, nutrition, and continued support, I learned how to build a foundation for recovery that extends far beyond treatment. One of the things I appreciated most was feeling truly heard. The staff met me where I was, while also encouraging me to become the person I was capable of being. The friendships, support network, and ongoing relationships I have gained through Legacy continue to enrich my life today. Because of Legacy Recovery, I have access to the best life I have ever known. I am forever grateful to the staff for their professionalism, compassion, dedication, and wisdom. Their commitment to helping people heal is extraordinary, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you, Legacy Recovery, for helping me find a new way to live.

Our family is incredibly grateful for the care and support our son received at Legacy Texas. He spent 4 months in the program and the positive transformation has been nothing short of remarkable. We were super blessed to have Bailey Tate as his program director. Bailey quickly had a read on him and understood what he needed to be successful in their program. The entire staff demonstrated compassion, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to helping each individual succeed. They created a structured, yet supportive environment where our son felt understood and most importantly motivated to work on his recovery. The communication with our family was also excellent, Bailey and Brian spent an appreciable amount of time with us each week keeping us included in his journey. What stood out the most was the personalized approach to treatment. Our son learned how to deal with issues and conflict, navigating through them as opposed of trying to escape from them. Working through the 12 steps in a very thorough and practical manner helped him to see how applicable they are to his everyday life. Today he confident, responsible and working toward his goals - a far cry from the individual that initially walked through Legacy’s doors. We are eternally grateful to Bailey, Brian, Justin, Johnny, Tim and Marsha for our son’s life change! They gave us our boy back, thank you will never be enough! We would whole heartedly recommend Legacy Texas to any family seeking a place that truly cares and is capable of making a lasting difference.

Legacy is where real change happens. Our loved was at several different treatment centers before coming to legacy. At all the others, he could not complete even 30 days. At Legacy, he completed over 120 days. This was the only place that he was able to see his need for change. The built in structure and accountability was something he so desperately needed and had been missing. They have an in depth process of going through the 12 steps which makes them transformational. A strong community is a necessary component of healing and staying sober. This community is fostered well at Legacy. Legacy also offers incredible support and compassion for families. We were fortunate to have Bailey as our program director. He was very invested in the care & success of our loved one, and was our life line for several months. He communicated regularly with us and was always willing to give us the time we needed to talk through concerns and ask as many questions as we had. Our future is still unknown, but we know that he was given the best possible care and tools for a sober future.
