HOPE gives you the tools to understand your addiction. It works if you work it, and it won’t if you don’t. Many years ago it worked for me. If you see a bad review on here, what you’re really seeing is a bitter addict unwilling to be honest with themselves and do the work.

I came here for my recovery, and at first I would say that I didnt like it, but that was making excuses for myself. But I stayed and graduated, this place tought me to learn patience and roll with changes that can come up in real life and not have to turn to drugs. Now im a peerlead helping others in the community to see the bright side of things and fight those urges we all get. This is hard thing to do alone, but if u build a community it becomes easier. They treat you with genuine care, compassion, and patience, even on the days when you struggle to believe in yourself.
I’m still learning, growing, and working through things — recovery is not always easy. But being here has given me real tools and real hope. Every therapist, tech, and counselor puts in the effort to help you understand what you’re going through and how to move forward in a healthier way. They celebrate the small victories with you and help you stay strong through the setbacks.
The environment feels safe and supportive — the groups are meaningful, the activities help you reconnect with life, and the structure gives you stability. I’ve met people here who remind me that I’m not alone in this journey, and that has made such a difference.

I have only positive thoughts about Chapter House. My son has been there the last 10 months until his recent transfer. Last year was the most difficult time for him (and us). Doug and Marty were fantastic. They get to know their clients and are really dialed into each of their challenges. My son has been in many treatment facilities the last 6 years and I can tell you he made the most progress at Chapter House, he is the most stable that he has been in years. Chapter House is more than a Sober Living facility, they have much more safeguards and work more closely with the clients, more so than other facilities he has been to. I plan to stay in contact with Doug (Director Oper.) who really developed a great relationship with my son (and myself), he has a great heart and is so committed to his people.

This place is great! I’m a veteran and found out they had a great veteran and first responder program. Everyone who supported me was the best. Julie my case worker was so sweet and helped me with all my appointments and FMLA. Cliff my counselor helped me with some trauma who I couldn’t have gotten better without him. He is literally the best part of my recovery. Alas was also someone who spoke the words I always needed to hear. Riding horses and being able to work with them was amazing. Jenny the music teacher was always so sweet and helped with my therapy too. Food was great thanks to the chef. All BHTs and the rest of the staff are great too. I attended Burning Tree Ranch in 2019 after having been to multiple inpatient treatment centers. I was drawn to Burning Tree because of its long-term, Big Book–based approach, and it delivered on that promise. My time there helped me better understand alcoholism as a disease, address my root issues, and build a sustainable path to sobriety.
A major strength of the program is its focus on healthy family involvement. My family gained education, boundaries, and non-enabling support, which was an important part of my recovery. Their aftercare program also stands out for keeping clients engaged and accountable well beyond treatment. Many of my closest connections today are still part of the Burning Tree community.

Greenhouse has truly saved/changed my life and rewired my way of thinking. The classes were extremely impactful, filled with knowledgeable information, and kept me in a solid routine everyday. If it weren’t for MHMR, I wouldn’t be alive today. They have saved my life! Maybe my situation is just different?! I called 988 in July 2024, and they sent 2 regular people to just talk to me. They did not judge or tell me what to do, they listened and were able to get me out of the living environment that was making my grief from my sweet baby brother’s suicide so much worse. I’ve been homeless and was DONE soI took half a bottle of blood pressure pills. Crazy thing because I didn’t even get a good night sleep. So then I was assigned a case worker who was a regular person going to college to get his degree in counseling, who would come and pick me up, take me to my appointments and take me to the pharmacy. It was amazing and it’s because for once I was SHOWN my life was worth living, clearly something my own family would never do. I’ve been at this clinic almost a year and now my social security will finally go through in a few months. They even helped me do my application and soon I will have my own income and will never need help from any family ever again, and THAT feels great. I’m healing a little and none of this could have happened without MHMR. I’m just so grateful & this place does great work if you’re very direct and honest about what you need.

I am so lucky to be able to go here and get medicine. It took a few years to get the meds right but it was worth it. I am happier than I have ever been and I don't feel worthless anymore. The people who work here deserve medals because I have seen them keep their cool around some nasty people. And I was one of those nasty people in the beginning. Thank god for this place and the people who run it. I'm so happy they didn't give up on me.

The team explained everything clearly, ensured I understood my care plan, and made the entire experience smooth and reassuring. The facility itself was clean, modern, and one of the nicest VA locations I’ve been to.
