HOPE gives you the tools to understand your addiction. It works if you work it, and it won’t if you don’t. Many years ago it worked for me. If you see a bad review on here, what you’re really seeing is a bitter addict unwilling to be honest with themselves and do the work.

If you’re serious about your recovery this is the place to take your life back ! I started treatment on January 4th 2025 which was the best decision of my life. This is my 3rd month sober and I have to say that it was mainly because of the effectiveness of this program. I want to thank the whole staff for their professionalism and commitment. The program will guide you through the steps needed to defeat your addiction as long as you’re honest with yourself and willing to put in the work. I want to say thank you to Sarah my therapist Tyler who coordinates the 12 step program, the other 2 Sarah’s, Mr Jones, all the nurses, techs and the awesome chefs that made every meal so delicious. Also special thanks to Miss Disco for the personal training sessions. The whole staff thank you so much for everything!!!

As the parent of a loved one who is addicted to alcohol, I highly commend the services provided to him and to our whole family while he was a resident at Lighthouse Recovery in Dallas, Texas. Lighthouse provided a supportive environment and a treatment regimen that was individually tailored to his needs, his strengths, and his weaknesses. Even when he suffered setbacks, the staff continued to provide structure, support, and encouragement to succeed. During his time at Lighthouse, his case manager, Michael, provided regular updates on his progress in weekly phone calls to us family members, and he was always accessible when we had questions or concerns. Even when my son chose to leave Lighthouse so that he could resume drinking, the Lighthouse staff stayed in touch with him every day to make sure he was safe, and they eventually were able to persuade him to enter a long-term rehab program.

I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you. When I came here fresh out of rehab, I was in a rough spot, and honestly, I didn’t know if I’d ever pull myself together. But you all took me in, gave me a place to get my head straight, and most importantly, you never gave up on me—even when I wasn’t making it easy. You guys stuck by me through everything, and because of that, I’ve been able to grow into someone I never thought I could be. I’ve learned so much here, not just about staying sober but about being a better person—someone who’s responsible, who thinks before he acts, and who actually wants to build a real future. That means more than I can put into words. The staff here is seriously amazing. Mike Jones, Michael Fowler, Frankie Gomez, Bryce Hand, Joshua Stoddard, and Brooke Keels—you guys are the backbone of this place. Each of you brings something different to the table, and together, you create a space where people like me get a real chance at a new life. You’re patient, you understand what we’re going through, and you actually care—which isn’t something you find everywhere. This place saved my life. That’s not an exaggeration. I wouldn’t be where I am without the support, guidance, and second chances I got here. I’ll always be grateful for that. Thank you for everything.

Thank you Thank you Thank you!! I’m writing this review without any idea how to express my gratitude. Sunshine was not the first place I called to help my friend but they are the place that gave me hope that maybe he would finally have a chance. I had been trying for over 2 years to help my friend get to recovery and everytime there was a closed door at some point of the process.. Whether it be $$ or programs or people on the other end of the phone unwillingness to help. I came across Sunshine Care Center with absolute defeat written all over me by the time I called them.. and there it was someone willing to not only to be the only other person on my team but to help me navigate what to do who to call how to help my friend with his addiction. I can’t put into words how much it meant to me to find a center that is truly there to help people that cannot help themselves. Beautiful people that work here with beautiful hearts. Special dedication to David the Founder for being there when no one else would. My endless gratitude sir. Thank you Sunshine Care Center.

I would like to recognize a few nurses for their working skills. First person is Elina, LVN. She showed me the process for how I can sterile clean and care for my husbands wound that had a very bad infection before we came here. She showed me the process so I could follow easily. Other nurses who were tender, loving, and caring for my husband were Alyssa, Anu, and Nallelie. They are dedicated and helping. The therapy was very hard working especially Nikki W. and Carmen they were great. Our Case Manager Briana had extraordinary character. She was warm, kind, and nice. Briana was very welcoming and always smiling. I loved our stay here! Trisha is open minded and warm. She quickly manages and cares for us during our stay. She was always helpful.

I spent almost 2 months in residential treatment here and back then i believe that it was positive learning experience. every day we stayed in some type of class or group activity. attended NA and AA weekly. was taught the 12 steps. spent christmas here in 1999. new years as well. Y2K. thought all the lights were gonna go off that night. but i was still a knuckle head. smoked cigarettes in the bathroom. hid snacks in my window and was kicked out because my room mate was stiffing finger nail polish and i didnt report it. 25 years ago today there were good people that worked there. if your kids dont learn anything here its because they didnt listen or didnt care cause they give you lots of tool and info.

The ER Doctor for Labor & Delivery ( a bald older white male doctor ) was very mean and belittling to his nurses it made me super uncomfortable when he started treating me he was the same way it made me never want to come back even though I was scheduled for a C-section just a week later .. however when I went in for my csection the staff was amazing ! I stayed 6 days do to complications Anesthesiologist - Drew was amazing he sat next to my while my surgery took place & just eased my mind & tried to distract me so I wasn’t such a nervous wreck . My night nurse Bailey 🤩🫶🏼 was Amazing 10000/10 she was super attentive, knowledgeable, caring I never felt like a bother to her she was truly a Godsend . I felt so cared for loved & well taken care of she really deserves a raise I had a tech - Beth who was very aggressive & yanked my arm when trying to help me off the bed . my fiancé told her to please never handle me like that again i was fresh out of surgery , she said I needed to hurry up . smh I reported her and the hospital made sure she never came in my room again . Nurse Ashleigh was my absolute favorite ! she checked on me so often whether I called her or not , she was always helpful you can tell she loves her jobs she was sweet silly and answered any question or concern I had . Nurse Lawonza & Tech Latoya were the sweetest they stayed on top of my medication hours made me feel so good about my progress and I just felt peace each time they came in my room My baby was in the NICU for a week as well and that was such a hard and scary experience but Nurse Abigail made me feel comfortable knowing baby gonzalez was really cared for I went in multiple times & she was talking to her / singing to her / holding her it made me happy knowing she was getting some sort of love and stimulation not just laying there being ignored . She gave me so many updates and explained everything so detailed I knew she was in great hands when Abigail was there . Nurse Savannah was so sweet and was so attentive to me and Baby . Nurse Delaney was also super amazing The only NICU nurse I had an issue with was I believe Tara or something with a T - short orange pixie cut . I was told by a morning nurse baby was going to receive a sponge bath / wipe down and I would be called when it happened so I could be apart of it & she can wear one of the outfits we have for her time passed & I was never called I did visit with baby throughout the day come 230 am I went to the RR and also went to check on her & the nurse had just finished her wipe down I was heartbroken 😔 even though it was a wipe down it was a special moment that I felt was taken from me I have no idea why she decided to do it at 230 AM and not earlier in her night shift or early morning before her shift was over that was super weird to me . & the outift we chose wasn’t even put on her it was a NICU outfit I asked if I could change her she said “ she’s already been yelling at me for 30 min because of the bath , I’m sure she’s hungry so we can feed her since she’s hungry or let her cry and change her “ of course I chose to feed her 😕 fast forward a few days I’m released baby’s still in the NICU I call for an update around 3 am and it’s this same nurse and she said she just got done bathing her and feeding her - Again the timing is just super weird to me ..

I've been going since 2020, Staff are amazing, Sonya and Sheila are wonderful people, Dr is great and the nurses are compassionate. I've been to other clinics, and everyone I've talked to that has come from other clinics has said that this is the best around. They saved my life. Don't hesitate to come in

The staff here are truly amazing and make you feel welcomed. If you're seeking a better direction in life, I highly recommend going here. The staff aren't judgmental by any means and are always there to help you when you need it. And don't get angry or impatient neither. Because if you had time to use, you have time to wait a moment, so that they can do what they are best at. And that is helping you!

Everyone that works here really cares. I remember the first time my husband and I called AOH to find out about the program. Sonya was so nice to us. We needed that kindness in that moment. We were feeling pretty beat down and low. We called other clinics and chose this one purely because we were treated with kindness. Now over 2 years later, I can say this program saved my life. No risk of jail, no risk of infections, no risk of over doses, no getting sick because of unreliable sources.
