My therapist was the best I’ve ever had, the food was great and the living accommodations were clean (cleaners came every day) and felt more like a hotel. Austin Stille 4 months ago In the 33 days I spent there I was given time to medically detox, fed delicious and nutritious food, taught the nature of my addiction in scientific terms, given one on one therapy, given the option to attend wellness activities such as yoga and was provided time with a personal trainer to work on regaining my strength. We enjoyed the on facility pool, team building exercises with the other residents and even had movie time once a week. I also was able to take advantage of a virtual reality session that prepared me for being exposed to my DOC in a safe environment and allowed me a one on one session with an expert trained in exposure therapy. This allowed me to see how physiologically my body will respond to triggers and therefore gave me much better ability to prepare for returning to my life outside of the center. The residental staff is caring, compassionate and friendly. The therapists were knowledgeable, present and available when I needed them. The 12 step team taught a comprehensive program that broke down the literature in a way that was easy to grasp. The kitchen staff provided fantastic meals. The rooms were kept clean daily and provided me with my own private balcony-a beautiful place to begin and end my days, reflecting on the many thoughts that addicts ponder during treatment. I look forward to continuing my treatment there with the PHP program and intend to complete my IOP at this location as well. I was given such great care that I wanted to ensure continuity of treatment throughout all the steps of my treatment program. Highly recommend to anyone who's ready to change their life. I was supposed to stay 5-7 days but with the new years holiday and a couple of weekends I was there a little longer. The facility places you in units based on your needs and diagnosis. I was in unit one for my duration so I can’t speak to any of the other units and what happens there. I was terrified coming in having not ever being at a facility like this before I had no idea what to expect. When I came in it was night and I heard some yelling and cursing that added to my anxiety. I am from a somewhat affluent suburb and had only seen places like this in the movies. Unit one was made up of men and women. That also made me apprehensive. There are two people to a room. Which consists of two single beds two bookcases and a bathroom. Everything had been well thought out as far as safety measures. There is a common room where everyone can socialize if they want to. All of this is supervised by the techs and other staff which gave me a huge sense of security. There is a schedule for waking up, getting vitals, medication, meals, gym, group therapy ( which was done by Carmen) shout out to Carmen she was really helpful in so many ways! Also on the schedule was hygiene and bedtime. I’m not a scheduled person and like to stay up late and sleep in. By the end of the stay I had learned to appreciate the schedule and am trying to stick to one now that I am at home. I can not say enough about how wonderful the staff on Unit 1 was. I could list names but it would be too many and I’m really bad at names and remembering them. The nurses were amazing and really took prided in their work and it showed. The techs made up the rest of the staff on the floor and they do so many things from doing 15 minute rounds for 12 hours to handling meal service being there to lend an ear. Being silly sometimes to lighten the mood and bring laughter. Kanard I’m speaking about your little happy dances. Sheena and Mary were like the mothers we didn’t have in there. Brittany the protective big sister who you could tell anything to and Dylon and big Rod I’m sure that’s his name but if not the big part will ensure that you know whom I’m speaking of. They were all very empathetic to our situations and just so very good to have in our unit. That was probably my one complaint. I would have liked to have had more healthy food options especially fresh fruit. I did ask for some and I got an orange that they had cut up the way that moms do. I feel that above and beyond given their workload so shout out kitchen staff. I know I’m going to leave out people by names because I’m bad at remembering them but I will never forget Charles and Ezeck the two nurses that really looked out for everyone’s health and well being Like I said Unit one is exactly where I needed to be at that point in my situation and time. To sum it up amazing morning and nighttime staff on Unit one. Areas that need improvement - healthier food options -opportunities for a variety of physical exercise- maybe an instructor led yoga class if for nothing else but stretching and breathing exercises. - daytime activities aside from tv. I really would have appreciated a book to read or a chore- just something to do. - lastly I was not as all impressed with the Doctors I had and the ones I observed. They were focused on medication but not what got us there or the help we needed. A lot of the times they were very dismissive to the patients. I was sent to this hospital to get better but they really offered no counseling at all. I mean at all. The only therapy we got was from Carmen and again she was awesome but it was in a group and not necessarily suited to individual needs so they really need counselors!!! Healthy food Opportunities for physical exercise. Counselors More mentally stimulating options like I said even a book or a crossword puzzle would help during the hours of boredom. My kiddo is as here in the kids side and I made the mistake of reading the reviews the first night she transferred over which was in the middle of the night around 1AM ; I was crying , my little was crying and it was literally a hot mess , almost took her home AMA . The reviews make it seem so bad and scary not gonna lie lol But my bby got the help and care she needed, staff was always friendly I was able to talk to her every day multiple times a day and see her during her visitations . The first 3 days are hard not gonna lie but only because we’ve never gone through something like this not because of the place . The nurse and techs are friendly from what my little told me and she was able to get released after 6 days . I blame myself for not communicating better. At the time I was forced to leave my denton home and stay with family in the colony and had to drive every day Mon thru Fri to denton. I finally tried looking for some place closer and thank the Lord He led me here. I called and they asked about insurance which I gave all my info about. I seriously had doubts that it would be of any help. Years ago methadone wasnt covered easily by insurance... But they made my day when they told me yep they take my insurance which is through marketplace. AND I would not have to pay anything out of pocket!! I was singing and dancing. Been here ever since. Even when I messed up and missed open enrollment, they still worked with me without insurance... i was so worried but everyone reassured me that they would find a way to help me here and they did. The office manager helped me find a location where I could get my dose since I missed it on Saturday and I was so grateful for him to reach out because I finally got my dose I needed Because THEY CARE! Try not to be discouraged by the lack of space - there are plenty of good rehabs in the area, but this one tends to stay full most of the time. My case manager, Courtney, has been very helpful in managing my issues in and outside of Riverwalk ranch. I like many of the therapists - I’d say that Richard, Johnny, and Erica (in no particular order) have been most helpful in my recovery. I stayed for 45 days, but 60 and 90 day stays are also available depending on your insurance. 45 days is generally the minimum program length. I only stayed in the detox room for two days, but many people stay for a week or more. The detox room is rather annoying. I can’t speak on the women’s end, but the men’s detox room is right by the main outside door and is often loud. The rooms are rather densely packed so that can get old, but I adjusted to it rather quickly. I’ll give a shoutout to the recovery coaches Bo, Samantha, Sierra, and Taylor. If you come here please treat them well because they deal with a lot! Overall I give this place a 9/10. I travel 46 weeks out of the year, sometimes my company has to fly me home for a day so I can make an appearance at my home clinic to stay compliant, so I have been to Methadone Clinics all across the United States as a Guest Dose Patient. I can honestly say New Season is one of the good ones. The lady who works up front is super nice And has been nothing but helpful to me. I believe it is $15 a day to pay for your methadone and If you want to go the Suboxone Route they also offer that as well ( I dont remember the cost per day but it is slightly higher than the methadone ) they only serve the liquid methadone ( cherry ) IF you are guest dosing there is a $25 charge, but you only have to pay that once a year. BUT what makes New Season Treatment a good to great clinic in my eyes, is no matter what person you deal with it is always with respect and they seem to actually care about the people they serve . From the Doctor to the Nurse to the Counselors dont have anything bad to say about any of them. I was in quite a predicament at one point in my recovery And I actually was a full time client with New Season and I ended 2 weeks later having to move to Houston And they never treated me differently or made a fuss about the situation just helped me get the transfer to Houston. I would WAY rather have stayed with New Season than my current Home clinic if I'm being %100 honest... I can also say I went to other clinics in the DFW Area and I had a horrible experience at another clinic in Dallas and New Season is my go to for the Dallas / Fort Worth Area. Update: The director switched me doctors to Reddy and she was by far way better than Dangra. She is very nice and listened to me. I called 988 in July 2024, and they sent 2 regular people to just talk to me. They did not judge or tell me what to do, they listened and were able to get me out of the living environment that was making my grief from my sweet baby brother’s suicide so much worse. I’ve been homeless and was DONE soI took half a bottle of blood pressure pills. Crazy thing because I didn’t even get a good night sleep. So then I was assigned a case worker who was a regular person going to college to get his degree in counseling, who would come and pick me up, take me to my appointments and take me to the pharmacy. It was amazing and it’s because for once I was SHOWN my life was worth living, clearly something my own family would never do. I’ve been at this clinic almost a year and now my social security will finally go through in a few months. They even helped me do my application and soon I will have my own income and will never need help from any family ever again, and THAT feels great. I’m healing a little and none of this could have happened without MHMR. I’m just so grateful & this place does great work if you’re very direct and honest about what you need. In the 33 days I spent there I was given time to medically detox, fed delicious and nutritious food, taught the nature of my addiction in scientific terms, given one on one therapy, given the option to attend wellness activities such as yoga and was provided time with a personal trainer to work on regaining my strength. We enjoyed the on facility pool, team building exercises with the other residents and even had movie time once a week. I also was able to take advantage of a virtual reality session that prepared me for being exposed to my DOC in a safe environment and allowed me a one on one session with an expert trained in exposure therapy. This allowed me to see how physiologically my body will respond to triggers and therefore gave me much better ability to prepare for returning to my life outside of the center. The residental staff is caring, compassionate and friendly. The therapists were knowledgeable, present and available when I needed them. The 12 step team taught a comprehensive program that broke down the literature in a way that was easy to grasp. The kitchen staff provided fantastic meals. The rooms were kept clean daily and provided me with my own private balcony-a beautiful place to begin and end my days, reflecting on the many thoughts that addicts ponder during treatment. I look forward to continuing my treatment there with the PHP program and intend to complete my IOP at this location as well. I was given such great care that I wanted to ensure continuity of treatment throughout all the steps of my treatment program. Highly recommend to anyone who's ready to change their life.

I was sent here involuntarily per the court. I was supposed to stay 5-7 days but with the new years holiday and a couple of weekends I was there a little longer. The facility places you in units based on your needs and diagnosis. I was in unit one for my duration so I can’t speak to any of the other units and what happens there. I was terrified coming in having not ever being at a facility like this before I had no idea what to expect. When I came in it was night and I heard some yelling and cursing that added to my anxiety. I am from a somewhat affluent suburb and had only seen places like this in the movies. Unit one was made up of men and women. That also made me apprehensive. There are two people to a room. Which consists of two single beds two bookcases and a bathroom. Everything had been well thought out as far as safety measures. There is a common room where everyone can socialize if they want to. All of this is supervised by the techs and other staff which gave me a huge sense of security. There is a schedule for waking up, getting vitals, medication, meals, gym, group therapy ( which was done by Carmen) shout out to Carmen she was really helpful in so many ways! Also on the schedule was hygiene and bedtime. I’m not a scheduled person and like to stay up late and sleep in. By the end of the stay I had learned to appreciate the schedule and am trying to stick to one now that I am at home. I can not say enough about how wonderful the staff on Unit 1 was. I could list names but it would be too many and I’m really bad at names and remembering them. The nurses were amazing and really took prided in their work and it showed. The techs made up the rest of the staff on the floor and they do so many things from doing 15 minute rounds for 12 hours to handling meal service being there to lend an ear. Being silly sometimes to lighten the mood and bring laughter. Kanard I’m speaking about your little happy dances. Sheena and Mary were like the mothers we didn’t have in there. Brittany the protective big sister who you could tell anything to and Dylon and big Rod I’m sure that’s his name but if not the big part will ensure that you know whom I’m speaking of. They were all very empathetic to our situations and just so very good to have in our unit. That was probably my one complaint. I would have liked to have had more healthy food options especially fresh fruit. I did ask for some and I got an orange that they had cut up the way that moms do. I feel that above and beyond given their workload so shout out kitchen staff. I know I’m going to leave out people by names because I’m bad at remembering them but I will never forget Charles and Ezeck the two nurses that really looked out for everyone’s health and well being Like I said Unit one is exactly where I needed to be at that point in my situation and time. To sum it up amazing morning and nighttime staff on Unit one. Areas that need improvement - healthier food options -opportunities for a variety of physical exercise- maybe an instructor led yoga class if for nothing else but stretching and breathing exercises. - daytime activities aside from tv. I really would have appreciated a book to read or a chore- just something to do. - lastly I was not as all impressed with the Doctors I had and the ones I observed. They were focused on medication but not what got us there or the help we needed. A lot of the times they were very dismissive to the patients. I was sent to this hospital to get better but they really offered no counseling at all. I mean at all. The only therapy we got was from Carmen and again she was awesome but it was in a group and not necessarily suited to individual needs so they really need counselors!!! Healthy food Opportunities for physical exercise. Counselors More mentally stimulating options like I said even a book or a crossword puzzle would help during the hours of boredom. I hope the powers that be read this and give the recognition this staff deserves!! PS they love food…wink wink.

So I’m leaving a review because the other reviews honestly don’t give this place any justice . My kiddo is as here in the kids side and I made the mistake of reading the reviews the first night she transferred over which was in the middle of the night around 1AM ; I was crying , my little was crying and it was literally a hot mess , almost took her home AMA . The reviews make it seem so bad and scary not gonna lie lol But my bby got the help and care she needed, staff was always friendly I was able to talk to her every day multiple times a day and see her during her visitations . The first 3 days are hard not gonna lie but only because we’ve never gone through something like this not because of the place . The nurse and techs are friendly from what my little told me and she was able to get released after 6 days . The place is clean and I’m honestly glad I gave it a chance instead of freaking out over the reviews

I use to go to denton clinic last year and even years ago and I was honestly struggling very hard to keep up with payments and Im not here to bash... I blame myself for not communicating better. At the time I was forced to leave my denton home and stay with family in the colony and had to drive every day Mon thru Fri to denton. I finally tried looking for some place closer and thank the Lord He led me here. I called and they asked about insurance which I gave all my info about. I seriously had doubts that it would be of any help. Years ago methadone wasnt covered easily by insurance... But they made my day when they told me yep they take my insurance which is through marketplace. AND I would not have to pay anything out of pocket!! I was singing and dancing. Been here ever since. Even when I messed up and missed open enrollment, they still worked with me without insurance... i was so worried but everyone reassured me that they would find a way to help me here and they did. Everyone is SO NICE also. Love it here.

I absolutely love this place from the front staff all the way to the back staff. Everybody is so amazing and so kind. The office manager helped me find a location where I could get my dose since I missed it on Saturday and I was so grateful for him to reach out because I finally got my dose I needed Because THEY CARE! I recommend this place to anybody struggling with opioid Use disorder or pain. Don’t be afraid to pick up the phone and call. Everybody is so nice and you’ll be taken care of🖤

Discovery Point Retreat is an excellent facility. I am the custodian of a friend who is in recovery and went here and saw the way they treat the clients is always very friendly, its like you are a part of their own family, especially the RC from Brooklyn, he was a real savior. This place is in high demand for a reason! Try not to be discouraged by the lack of space - there are plenty of good rehabs in the area, but this one tends to stay full most of the time. My case manager, Courtney, has been very helpful in managing my issues in and outside of Riverwalk ranch. I like many of the therapists - I’d say that Richard, Johnny, and Erica (in no particular order) have been most helpful in my recovery. I stayed for 45 days, but 60 and 90 day stays are also available depending on your insurance. 45 days is generally the minimum program length. I only stayed in the detox room for two days, but many people stay for a week or more. The detox room is rather annoying. I can’t speak on the women’s end, but the men’s detox room is right by the main outside door and is often loud. The rooms are rather densely packed so that can get old, but I adjusted to it rather quickly. I’ll give a shoutout to the recovery coaches Bo, Samantha, Sierra, and Taylor. If you come here please treat them well because they deal with a lot! Overall I give this place a 9/10. There could be some stronger structure at times, but I do like the sense of independence you can maintain here relative to other rehabs I’ve been to (just two). Worth it

I will start this review off by giving some information about myself so you can actually get something out of this review and hopefully it will help someone else get their life back on track. I travel 46 weeks out of the year, sometimes my company has to fly me home for a day so I can make an appearance at my home clinic to stay compliant, so I have been to Methadone Clinics all across the United States as a Guest Dose Patient. I can honestly say New Season is one of the good ones. The lady who works up front is super nice And has been nothing but helpful to me. I believe it is $15 a day to pay for your methadone and If you want to go the Suboxone Route they also offer that as well ( I dont remember the cost per day but it is slightly higher than the methadone ) they only serve the liquid methadone ( cherry ) IF you are guest dosing there is a $25 charge, but you only have to pay that once a year. BUT what makes New Season Treatment a good to great clinic in my eyes, is no matter what person you deal with it is always with respect and they seem to actually care about the people they serve . From the Doctor to the Nurse to the Counselors dont have anything bad to say about any of them. I was in quite a predicament at one point in my recovery And I actually was a full time client with New Season and I ended 2 weeks later having to move to Houston And they never treated me differently or made a fuss about the situation just helped me get the transfer to Houston. I would WAY rather have stayed with New Season than my current Home clinic if I'm being %100 honest... I can also say I went to other clinics in the DFW Area and I had a horrible experience at another clinic in Dallas and New Season is my go to for the Dallas / Fort Worth Area.

I cannot imagine any other place to go to for Help it started off with me coming to this place and then thinking I was OK but in reality I wasn’t and I stopped coming a few months down the road. I found myself coming back. These workers are phenomenal when I came it started with the director James. He explained everything and then some. Then I saw the magnificent charming, wonderful Dr. Cruz he listens to your every need He is an all around a great doctor very intelligent, smart as a whip, very caring And very kind I have yet to meet a doctor in this field like him at all I can’t say enough for him or anybody else Or anyone else at Symetria. The first time I came in, I was assigned to the counselor Carolee I met with her maybe twice because I quit coming and then I began to see Mr. wonderful Trey He is so good makes me feel like there’s A light at the end of the tunnel He is another one that will listen to you wants to set goals for you helps you set those goals and meet them so now when I come in, I see a beautiful smiling Karen she’s so bubbly she cares and she will always always ask you if you need anything else. She is a wonderful person. She will let The nurses know you are there and Keeshaw And Vicky are They will have your medicine ready and they will call you back to dose. They are both very sweet and kind and one thing I know they’re both Christians. And they are always smiling When you come back to their cubicle, I know this was lengthy and I’m sorry and I hope and pray you have the time to read this because there’s a lot more than I can say great wonderful things about Symetria but it’s not necessary for me to write a book so come out. Make an appointment do the first step and thank God in the process that you’re on your way to a better you, you will not be disappointed with Symetria and this crew in Fort Worth. so please make that first step with this Symetria family you will not regret it. Every one here is SO NICE! I was looking forward to finally meeting a doctor who could help me. Well, when I met Dr. Dinghra through an iPad and only saw her eyes and nothing more, it felt extremely impersonal. I gave the doctor the benefit of the doubt. As we proceeded to talk she began interrupting me and even worse he started subtly insulting. Complete lack of empathy throughout. She only had his eyes in the frame I had no idea who I was even talking to. I could barely understand her but I definitely understood the insults. She should be fired IMMEDIATELY. Update: The director switched me doctors to Reddy and she was by far way better than Dangra. She is very nice and listened to me.

If it weren’t for MHMR, I wouldn’t be alive today. They have saved my life! Maybe my situation is just different?! I called 988 in July 2024, and they sent 2 regular people to just talk to me. They did not judge or tell me what to do, they listened and were able to get me out of the living environment that was making my grief from my sweet baby brother’s suicide so much worse. I’ve been homeless and was DONE soI took half a bottle of blood pressure pills. Crazy thing because I didn’t even get a good night sleep. So then I was assigned a case worker who was a regular person going to college to get his degree in counseling, who would come and pick me up, take me to my appointments and take me to the pharmacy. It was amazing and it’s because for once I was SHOWN my life was worth living, clearly something my own family would never do. I’ve been at this clinic almost a year and now my social security will finally go through in a few months. They even helped me do my application and soon I will have my own income and will never need help from any family ever again, and THAT feels great. I’m healing a little and none of this could have happened without MHMR. I’m just so grateful & this place does great work if you’re very direct and honest about what you need.

this is all kinda new to me, my case worker has always heled and informed e of assistance in anything i needed. Thanks for making me feel safe will continue services for as long as i can . Have faith. and believe that there are resources to help you
