The clinic is so unprofessional! Pitts is very insensitive and shouldn’t be in the medical field if she won’t empathize. I arrived for my appt 7 minutes late and was turned around! I feel like that was a terrible experience due to the fact i got off work early and wasted my time and energy. People shouldn’t even work in healthcare with these type of attitudes. I initially sat in the lobby an extra 10 minutes before someone even noticed i was there! I’m so irritated at the professionalism & service here. I do not recommend!

This clinic is very unprofessional. The staff do not seem to want to be here, and they are not friendly or welcoming to patients. They do not answer the phones when you try to call, even if you are calling to let them know you may be a few minutes late. When you arrive, even if you are only 5–10 minutes late, they will still turn you away without checking with the doctor for authorization. Patients are treated as if they are just random people off the street instead of individuals seeking care. The administration and staff need serious improvement in professionalism, communication, and respect for patients.

Accepted Insurance

Avenue 360 Health and Wellness – Midtown works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

After completing some form of inpatient care, many clients transition or step down to an outpatient rehab, while some choose to transition from detox directly into outpatient care. High-intensity outpatient programming, including partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) is widely available for clients in early recovery, those leaving detox, and those at an elevated relapse risk. Clients in outpatient care generally engage in robust addiction counseling and recovery education, and some also receive medication assisted treatment (MAT).

24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care

24-hour clinical care in Texas provides a safe environment for medical detox. This setting is crucial to provide medical care during withdrawal. Certain withdrawal symptoms can cause life-threatening conditions, but patients in a supervised clinical setting have treatment readily available to address any symptoms before they become severe. Treatment can also be provided for co-occurring physical and mental health issues.

Treatments

During rehab in Texas, you'll deal with underlying issues that contribute to addiction. By addressing these challenges and learning healthy ways to cope with them, you'll develop strategies that help you live a drug-free lifestyle.

In Texas, dual-diagnosis addiction treatment programs can treat individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse challenges. Usually offered on an inpatient or outpatient rehab basis, clinicians provide individual and group therapy, medication-assisted treatment, cognitive behavioral therapy, or dialectical behavioral therapy, and skills training to address both disorders and equip you with the skills to maintain your recovery.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

Peer support is an important aspect of group therapy sessions for drug and alcohol addiction. As you and your peers share stories and encourage each other, it fosters a sense of community and belonging that helps you process your feelings and reduces the sense of isolation that is associated with addiction.

Individual therapy offers you a confidential space to address the complexities of your drug or alcohol addiction. Your therapist guides these personalized sessions to help develop self awareness and manage stress. This promotes sustained sobriety and overall well being.

The purpose of family therapy is to create a supportive and understanding family dynamic within the family unit. Therapists help individual members to identify and change harmful behavior patterns and improve communication. This provides a stable foundation for the family and their loved one's recovery.

What you eat has a significant effect on your mental and physical health. That's why many addiction recovery programs in Texas incorporate nutrition therapy in their treatment. This therapy teaches you how addiction affects nutrition, what foods are best to eat during recovery, and how to shop for and prepare healthy meals.

I would not recommend this place for dental services. I am leaving this review so that Avenue 360 can improve the level of dental care that they provide to their low-income patients. I have been seeing Sonia Figueroa for dental cleanings, and I have left every single time feeling as if my teeth have not been cleaned properly. During my last visit, she charted my gums and then proceeded to clean only the 4 or 5 tooth that needed attention. Read that again—she did not clean my entire mouth. I have never been to a dental office where they only cleaned 4 or 5 tooth. Why the hell am I paying for a full cleaning when the cleaning doesn’t even cover the entire mouth? I have never seen a dental office, no matter how busy they are, provide this level of substandard care. The entire mouth should be cleaned, even if 4 or 5 tooth are showing more buildup. That is the cleaning we are paying for. I am extremely concerned about the dental health of patients who come here, as most are low income and probably cannot afford to pay hundreds of dollars for dental work. You are putting these patients at risk. Please provide better dental hygiene services for your patients. I paid for each cleaning, and it’s a complete waste of money.

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Lacking Professionalism and Basic Respect. I’m writing this review on behalf of a close family friend whose experience at Avenue 360 was deeply upsetting. From the moment she arrived, the front desk staff—specifically Giselle Cepeda and the person introduced as the "manager," Sidra Ambreen—treated her with an unacceptable level of disrespect. She was asked extremely sensitive and personal medical questions loudly, in front of other patients in the waiting area. When she politely expressed that she wasn’t comfortable sharing personal health information in public and requested a more private way to communicate, the staff became rude, dismissive, and confrontational. Every patient deserves privacy and professionalism during a medical visit—this is not optional, it’s basic decency and standard practice. When my friend’s mother explained that she didn’t have time for back-and-forth and simply needed to see the doctor, the receptionist, Giselle, told her, “No, because you don’t have the money to pay for the visit, so your visit is canceled.” Not only was this assumption incorrect—she had come prepared to pay—but it was also humiliating and completely inappropriate to say to any patient. It’s shocking and disappointing to see such a lack of compassion, professionalism, and respect in a healthcare setting. If this is the way the front office is run, I can’t imagine how many other patients have felt mistreated or dismissed. I hope this review encourages leadership to take a serious look at the way their patients are being treated—especially by individuals representing their clinic at the front desk.
