I just want to say symmetria is one of the best rehabs I have ever been in. Everyone here is so caring and so nice and I've helped me so much in my recovery. At the beginning of 2019 i could have never imagined how the year would end. Our daughter had been struggling with addiction since college. Her therapist recommended BARC and when she came out of the recovery center, she was not even close to the person she went in as. She embraced the program and did the work to better herself and her life. Fast forward to 2026, she is still sober and is living a full life now with a supportive husband and two beautiful daughters. She still puts in the work to stay sober but learned how to do this through BARC.

This place saved my life. The staff is amazing, the treatment is very in-depth. They don’t just hand you a book and let it ride. They teach you all about the book and really work with you to get that stuff inside of you that’s killing you out!!! I am forever grateful to house 4 and the staff that helped me heal! I’ve Known Of Montrose Counseling/Community Center since Summer of 1995. During That Time MCC was located on Richmond Avenue in a beautiful but smaller building than they’re in now. My first Therapist was Lee Willis a phenomenal therapist for anyone living with gender dysphoria. Since then I’ve had sporadic experiences at MCC from 1995 till 2008. However, when I move back to Houston in 2008 I started going To MCC consistently especially after 2009. I’ve had some wonderful case managers and therapist from Mandy Lloyd in 2009 till Daniel Perez now. I can honestly say there’re people who work at MCC who authentically care about the LGBTQ+ community of Houston very much, and those same people are willing to provide exceptional services for anyone regardless of their sexual orientation, gender, religion, or race to me that’s commendable. I lost my Therapist/ Friend Mike Ator in November Of last year 11-04-24 was the day I was told he had passed away, and that news shook me to my core it was devastating heartbreaking news. I miss him greatly and that’s the kind of people that work at MCC phenomenal people who truly care and reaffirm to their clients they matter. In closing, I wholeheartedly recommend MCC to anyone who seeking services like Mental Wellness, Community groups to network, groups that meet to discuss life’s challenges, and helping people who are apart of the LGBTQ+ community by reaffirming the fact YOU MATTER 🤗 I Sincerely And Unequivocally give MCC Five Stars For being a lighthouse In Dark Times Thank You ☺️ GOD Bless 🙏🏾 !!!!!! I couldn’t say enough great things about BARC. House 3 is where my entire life changed and changed for the better. I learned so much about myself, alcoholism / addiction and exactly how it affected me. When you understand “The Stickman” then it all starts making sense. The staff at BARC is amazing. They don’t just talk about alcoholism / addiction that they’ve learned from a book. Everyone there has been there before and knows first hand what they are talking about and teaching. There is not a place on earth I could recommend more highly than BARC for recovery. BARC was where my rebirth happened and if you’re looking for a place to make that change it can be the place of your rebirth as well. 12/16/2025 is my sobriety birthday If you’re rally lucky, when you’re there one of your brothers in the house will know how and like to cook like me. lol 😂

This is my favorite place on earth!! It's where I showed up with nothing and completely hopeless, to being over 2 years free from alcohol and drugs. I truly believe the magic happens when people who are hopeless and have given up, come to a place like BARC, and start working together and share each other's experiences!! At the beginning of 2019 i could have never imagined how the year would end. Our daughter had been struggling with addiction since college. Her therapist recommended BARC and when she came out of the recovery center, she was not even close to the person she went in as. She embraced the program and did the work to better herself and her life. Fast forward to 2026, she is still sober and is living a full life now with a supportive husband and two beautiful daughters. This place saved my life. The staff is amazing, the treatment is very in-depth. They don’t just hand you a book and let it ride. They teach you all about the book and really work with you to get that stuff inside of you that’s killing you out!!! I am forever grateful to house 4 and the staff that helped me heal! The providers are great! And truly care about their patients! I’m only giving 4 stars because if it weren’t for the walk in, intake woman, I’d give 5….. This is a MENTAL HEALTH CLINIC, you should really conduct yourself as if you work for a mental health clinic. If people walking up to your desk for services annoys you so bad, you should find another career. This isn’t your calling! I literally quit coming to this place, solely because of the women in the front. It seems like there are new people, but the walk in, intake woman is no different than the women I remember previously! You don’t know what people are going through, if you can’t even fake a positive attitude in a MENTAL HEALTH CLINIC, maybe just find another career. Bleeding on others cause you’re miserable is unacceptable!!

Living in Barcelona Spain now. As I am sitting in my room my mind took me back this place. OPEN DOOR MISSION. I had just got to the states in 1999 I was living on the streets cuz I had no family no friends, I was only 16 years of age. This place was awesome. I speak no English but the pple there by that time made it super easy for me to communicate. We used to celebrate worshipping in Spanish with fellow brothers that used to visited on Thursday and sundays. You want to find God and be in a fellowship of friends that are really wanting to change and are focused on that path? Then ODM is your place. Change is never easy and it is hard to change and break away from the thinking errors you've survived on all your life. But people change. People change when the pain not to change exceeds the pain to change. It takes a real man to accept the facts that what you're doing isn't working. If you ask for admission, you'd better be ready to change. Leave all those thinking errors at the gate. If you think you just need a place to crash, then this placement isn't right for you, and that will be obvious and you probably won't make it. Open Door Mission is an excellent program for those who want change in a faith based setting. Doesn't get any better than this folks!

The Nurses there are absolute ANGELS!! Lois (A nurse there) she is such am amazing lady with a warm and caring heart!!! She is just AMAZING and I love her!! Dina , the nurse who distributes the medication as well as my take home meds, she is so very sweet and Kind!! And of course My Case worker, Moses, is just the sweetest!! I have been going to this particular clinic regularly for about a year now, after we moved back here from Arizona to be close to our family, and Yes, It is the most the most expensive clinic I have been to, But I wouldn't ever think of going anywhere else , strictly because of the wonderful Nurses and caring Case manager! Thank you ladies for always being kind to me, and for always having a smile on your face , and for NEVER judging me!!! I love my PSAC FAMILY!!!!

I never write reviews , however i had to because honestly this is one of the only hospitals who helped me & listened to my concerns. Even my husband loved it!, and he hate’s hospitals from all the bad experiences we encountered. Everyone was SOOO nice, from the nice lady in the front checking me in, to the security guards & to all the nurses/doctors! Everyone was just so nice and patient, didn’t feel like i was rushed out the door or pushed aside. I wish i got everyone’s names but they were all so great. I went around 5:30 pm ,and it was empty and they were super fast with the check in and everything. The only part that took long was waiting on results but of course that’s expected! I also love that they check you before you come in with the detector for everyone’s safety. Im definitely going to always pick this hospital as my #1 when i have any concerns. Thank you guys!!

It's been a few years since I've been to this place, it was a required outpatient program that I had to do for a legal matter. There were different options on time slots, the classes weren't too big where you'd get anxiety, but they were big enough and diversified enough where I felt comfortable sharing. Even though I did not want to be there, and I made it perfectly clear from the get-go, the staff was super kind and put up with all my BS with a smile! Admissions was extremely easy and if I remember correctly either the state or Medicaid covered the cost. For a cheaper outpatient option, this was one of the better ones I have been to. Overall a pretty decent experience for a rehab facility!

Went here when i was 16 around 2016, i will tell you this, this place will challenge your way of thinking. It was hard sometimes, people dont want to listen and its easy to succumb to negative influences, but these people here genuinely care about the kids they look after. I got to know alot on a personal level and alot of them had been through alot of the same stuff i had been through and could relate. I will say this as someone who has been through alot, you want someone who can relate to you when it comes to a rehabilitation situation. Its easier to trust someone when you know they can feel that pain too. Dont listen to all these lame people giving one stars, none of them know what they're talking about. The councilors and tech staff genuinely want to see these kids do good. They helped me see i had a problem and it isnt right that people want to bash them when they have done so much for me and my peers from that time in my life. If any of you guys see this i love yall and hope yall are doing good. Especially you Ms Haynes and mr Colbert!

I spent almost 6 months here back in 2015-16. I'm 22 now. Mr Wyllie, Ms Wendy, Mr Omar, Mr Antwuan, Mr E , Mr Aladin , all great people. I think about them, my fellow brothers and this place often. My counselor Mr Robinson was awesome as well. They fed us great, we went on trips and before I left we went to the U of H for an anniversary party and it was some o the best memories of my life. they were strict but we were still able to have fun. They looked out and cared about us. I was hard headed and didn't want to listen and I all these years later it hits me.

If Unlimited Visions Aftercare did not exist, my son wouldn’t be alive today. My son overdosed while at this facility and they immediately started life support. They called me while I was at work, facilitated him an ambulance ride that got him to Texas Children’s Hospital. Had this place not existed, I would’ve found my teenage son dead at home after work that day. Also my son was a unique case, he was kicked out of some of the bigger name rehabs and we were running out of options for help. When we were out of options, Unlimited Visions was the only place there to help. For that I am forever grateful. As for the negative comments I am seeing. This place may not have the biggest funding, budget or greatest marketing. But I thank God it exists in my community, because I know for sure it saved one life.

Does rehab is awesome my sister is there they do 3 AA meetings every day and two big book studies, they have a lot of events including alcathon which is May 1st through the 3rd where they will have 24-hour meetings for 3 days straight along with food 10.00 minimum donation

It's a pretty decent place to get your wife sober I don't agree with the guys that go there for the AA meetings with these ladies cuz they probably on parole and don't need to be around women that are want to be sober
