Their outpatient programs offer a tranquil environment to focus on recovery while living at home. You’ll benefit from a customized treatment plan that prioritizes your needs and goals. For me, their aftercare services really stood out. Ongoing support is essential to sustain recovery. They offer an alumni program to keep you on track in your journey. You can participate in alumni support groups and continuing therapy sessions to reinforce coping skills and foster growth. You can also access a relapse prevention plan to navigate potential hurdles confidently and promote long term recovery.

I left a review over a year ago- please scroll to find in the, many, one star reviews.I ve left more, ever since 2021, when I endured a horrible experience at this treatment center. The staff was very undertrained, nothing I was told over the phone by Banyan (umbrella company of ClearBrook ) was to be true at ClearBrook. After being advised to escape and the explained exactly how I would be able to get help, in order to leave- one very kind therapist told me where to walk to- after her and a Ta explained to me about how sick ClearBrook is, and how they were so sorry for my experience. In fact I know the TA quit right there- and said on her way out, I won t do this to these people anymore , as well as the therapist left crying after they guided me away from the building. So, then- because they would not return my things (cell phone, credit cards, etc.) even though I was voluntarily there, and wanted to leave because of the continual discord of any sort of treatment plan after a week. ( forgotten meals/ sexual harassment/ staff flirting with patients/ and tv). From the moment I walked in ClearBrook, there was nothing but herding around confused patients, who are all under cared for, or deceived of one thing or another, all slowly realizing their dire situation. With no curriculum being run and the fighting untrained staff, we were all in danger- many of us knew that right away. Not in a - I don t want to be here because I want drugs- not that- not my first trip to rehab(read more to find out just how much I do know). There s been multiple people, more than I d like to say right now- all to similar of a trauma to not speak to one another about our experience here and how wronged we all were. So reach out to me and tell me personally of your nightmare here- from years previous, until now, and future - I will never forget Kelly the manager at the time of my exit -I told her one day my name would ring bells thereWell Clear BrookRing ringAlso mind you I was five years sober prior to my opted stay here, that I opted to under false pretense after a 30 day relapse, I trusted a voice on a phone working for banyan Clearbrooks umbrella - selling me to a night mare, advertised as help. I was also very recently out of a long relationship (over 5 years) with a very well renounced therapist, for a very well renounced schools therapy department. He also ran a huge department of a treatment facility, for 3 years. So, yes- I do know what a how a run facility, and real help and roads to long term sobriety actually looks/feels, it is nothing ClearBrook/Banyan has to offer then, now, or further. They simply want you there, and your insurance billed, for as long as possible. You can file a compliant/ I m going to file a lawsuit- but dotting I s crossing T s- and this is bigger than I thought. Hi banyan.Thank you to the therapist and TA there who did see me and helped me, get away. They gave me specific directions to a gas station, 10 miles anway. They told me what to exactly say once I walked into this Dunkin Donuts, after 10 mile hike in freezing temps, to ask for the phone and to call the police- so that they police could help me get my items back from the facility since they wouldn t give me my debit card, phone, or id to get home - via plane ride. This is also illegal - and was not practiced, by banyan or ClearBrook, by the time I visited. Given I was a voluntary patient/ then being held against my will, or manipulated to stay- all so that the machine could collect on my daily stay/ thousands of dollars. ! For tv.Clearbrook/ banyan you re going down. You re hurting good people/ who came to you for help.Ring ring.

Accepted Insurance

Banyan Massachusetts works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient programs are designed for clients who are medically stable and not at an elevated risk of relapse, including those who have already completed inpatient care. Outpatient programs typically advance clients' established treatment plans, offering continuing addiction counseling and recovery education. Clients who enter outpatient care immediately following detox may also receive medical and mental health assessments and personalized treatment plans. Most outpatient rehabs provide multiple levels of care to align with clients' unique needs.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements. Linden Oaks' Residential Stay Program offers additional support for those who may benefit from a structured living environment. A patient's stay may vary from a few days to 30 days ago. The program includes group, family and individual counseling.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient programs are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs. The Intensive Outpatient Program gives patients the chance to participate in a structured treatment plan part-time while they transition back to home and work or other responsibilities. This program provides half-day treatment (Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:15 am to 12:30 pm).
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs offer customized, wraparound support for clients in the maintenance phase of recovery. Many clients enroll in drug rehab immediately after completing intensive inpatient or residential care. Services encompass outpatient treatment but often extend long beyond the completion of a formal recovery program and typically include a variety of medical, mental health, and social service programs. Peer coaching, relapse prevention, 12 step program induction, and related services are commonly available.
12-step icon12-Step
Recovery models based on 12 step programs feature extensive peer coaching and emphasize personal growth as a key to sustained sobriety. Regular attendance at 12 step meetings, which are anonymous, free, and available daily, is expected. The 12 steps of recovery are based on spiritual principles and support participants in addressing the root causes of their disease, accept responsibility for their choices, and accept that which is beyond their control. Self-selected sponsors provide one-one-mentoring.
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
A sober living home offers a supportive environment where individuals in recovery provide mutual support as they share household responsibilities. Residents participate in 12-step programs and offer accountability for sobriety. To remain in men's or women's sober living, individuals must remain drug and alcohol-free, contribute to chores, attend support group meetings, and help cover expenses to live in the home.
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
A drug intervention in Massachusetts provides friends and family the opportunity to share how a person's substance use has caused problems in their lives. The goal of the intervention is to encourage the person to get the treatment they need. Most rehab facilities offer intervention services that can help families prepare for the intervention and facilitate entry into treatment if the person agrees to get help.
partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
A partial hospitalization program (PHP), also known as day treatment, allows you to receive rehab-level care while living at home. PHP treatment requires a minimum of 20 hours of treatment each week for an average of 90 days. PHP treatment plans can vary depending on your needs but typically includes relapse prevention, medication management, and evidence-based therapies, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Most insurance providers fully or partially cover PHP treatment.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
Due to various health issues that substance abuse causes, 24-hour clinical care in Massachusetts is often a necessary part of treatment. Individuals may be suffering from infections, illness, or organ damage. Having 24-hour care available ensures that these physical problems are treated along with the psychological effects of addiction. Once individuals complete detox and are medically stable, this intensive level of supervision ends, and the next phase of treatment can begin.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Medically supervised detox is the process of removing addictive substances from your body and managing the withdrawal symptoms in a medically supervised environment. Typically, this is the first step in the recovery process and lasts an average of 5-7 days, though the length can vary depending on your individual needs. Once your system is cleared of alcohol and drugs, you'll likely transition to an inpatient treatment program for the next phase of your recovery.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Clinical Services

During cognitive behavioral therapy in Massachusetts, clients work with a trained counselor to identify negative thinking patterns and change them. This change in thinking has been shown to lead to changes in behavior to treat substance use and mental health disorders effectively.

If you are experiencing intense, negative emotions, dialectical behavior therapy can help you learn how to regulate painful emotions and manage the interpersonal situations that generate them. This method is often used during substance use treatment in Massachusetts to help you develop better coping skills and avoid relapse.

Group therapy is a safe space for participants to share their stories and experiences within a confidential and judgment free environment. You have the opportunity to openly discuss your difficulties and create a network of community support that can extend long after group therapy sessions end.

Therapists in Massachusetts offer individual therapy in a confidential setting to help you explore the complex factors that have contributed to your drug addiction. Using a tailored approach, your therapist supports you and utilizes evidence based treatment modalities to help you develop healthier thought patterns and behaviors. This builds a foundation for enduring sobriety.

Four principles are key to motivational interviewing in Massachusetts. First, the therapist offers empathy for the client's feelings and experiences. Second, they encourage the client to believe in themselves and their ability to change. Third, the therapist refrains from imposing their own viewpoints. Lastly, the therapist helps the client identify discrepancies in their circumstances and future goals.

Trauma therapy addresses the psychological impact of experiencing a traumatic event. You can also experience mental and emotional injury after witnessing a trauma. By identifying what triggers those responses and developing effective coping mechanisms, you can rebuild a sense of safety and trust in your environment.

Couples therapy in Massachusetts is a short term therapy designed to equip you both with the skills you need to address conflicts and challenges in your relationship. During sessions, your counselor may meet with you individually and together.

During family therapy, the therapist works with every member of the family unit to understand the role they play in their loved one's addiction. By addressing these patterns, family members learn healthier ways to interact with each other and contribute to a more effective recovery journey for the family member who is addicted.

The best time for nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) in Massachusetts is the moment you quit. You can start this therapy right away to lessen cravings and withdrawal symptoms, so the process is easier. Research has shown that NRT increases the chances of success. Options include patches, gum, inhalers, sprays, and lozenges.

They set me up with an admission date for the 4th with transportation all set and 2 days before I was supposed to admit they called me and said sorry we have no bed for you on the 4th, someone else called and wanted to admit today. Pulled the rug from under me and left me stranded. Horrible place!!!!!

DO NOT COME HERE. Most of what admissions tells you on the phone and what you see on the web sight are lies!!! Other than the food being pretty good (although no personal chef taking orders as was promised) every promise made was a bold faced lie. I was promised transportation to court before I went. Despite asking and checking in about thus issue for 12 day approx 36 hours before court I was told "none of the transporters want to drive that far" despite them having no trouble getting me to there dump. There solution was they called my wife and mother behind my back while I was told they were calling the "trabsport lead" and told them they would have to skip work to come get me so that I wouldn't have a warrant out for my arrest. That was the final straw and I left right then. Well nit right then it took 4 hours for them to give ne my empty suitcase to put my clothes in. Most of which I had just gotten. Yup almost 2 weeks of asking to get all well Most of my effing shoes hats and clothes. They say they take you for regular outings and out to the gym twice per week. Nope not once in 12 days. The daily cigarette runs happened only one per week and after enough tantrums were thrown. Oh wait and the big kicker, it's not really a substance abuse treatment. It's primary mental health. All half dozen of us were left in the old detoxing wing ro keep us separate from the 50 plus mental health patients with no substance abuse history. The groups of 3 to 5 that actually showed up to group and lasted and hour were quite rivating the 9 freaking times per day you were to attend. Oh bi weekly case management and 3 times per week individual therapy lol. My councilor only spoke with me when I asked to leave AMA and was the person who lied about who he was going to call to "arrange transport" for a court date I was told I absolutely had to be at and was promised before agreeing to admission. These are just some of the reasons I picked Clearbrook or banyan whatever name they use at the time to try to confuse you. Also there Joint commission accreditation is proudly displayed although years expired. October 17 2020 to be exact

Terrible management at Willmington, they do not care about there clients at all and there recovery, more interest in firing all great techs and leaving the ones who have never been in treatment and have no idea what there doing, if your serous about your recovery do not go to this place it’s run like a pre release prison! This change has been recent since new management, wish I could of experienced the jobs of prier management, I just left this place July 2022, and not one client was happy about the way they were treated by management especially by the Director of Operations who does nothing but sit in office 3 days a week with door shut listening to cold play ( music) and gets paid salary for staying home doing nothing the rest of the week! And occasionally fire people when he’s bored.
