After reading the reviews, we were terrified to leave our family member at Compass in Opelusas. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The social worker, Claire, was very helpful, keeping us updated with medication changes and progress reports. She was kind and never made us feel like an inconvenience when we called. Pam was patient and willing to listen to our concerns. Clara was such a sweet aide, taking extra time with her during her shift to ensure she didn't feel lonely. The psychiatrists were both very attentive to behavior changes and quick to make changes to medication when needed. She was in this facility for 11 days and we are happy to say we would recommend it to others!

Compass Behavioral Center is an excellent place if you are struggling with some mental health problems. The staff is probably a little rude but is because they are very disciplined and they do their work in the right way, all that they do is for the patient's benefit.

This was the first rehab I had ever went to. This was in 2015 or 16 well they were located I think in Lafayette and when I got signed in to stay they were moving like the 3rd day that I was there to sunset location . It was cool to see . The old one looked like a house it was cool . I had came in and almost passed out and the nurses and staff made sure I was ok and saw a doctor and that mentally I was okay . I may not have been at my best but the staff and everyone here was so beyond kind and cared about everyone's sobriety and it was individualized and personal . It was pricey back then I'm not sure about now . I had ended leaving but I never forgot and alot of people will say it's about how people treat you that people remember. It helped me in the sobriety process . They were still kind and wanted me to stay so much but I needed something else . Well because I had went for the time length I stayed I got an AA book and I kept it all these years and today it still helps and has helped heal me. If it wasn't for that place I wouldn't know the AA way.

Been here multiple times. All the local ERs always claim vermilion is full so they can send you far away. As a client we always have a voice. Staff is so amazing and the food is legit. The menu is top notch

My grandson is there and I was scared at first I didn't even know what the property looks like or anything but it's pretty much way out in the boondocks seen plenty of corn fields and it's located down a long gravel road I was like oh my God there's not even blacktop roads but we got there and it's like a couple separate buildings and my grandson was so happy he didn't act like he wanted to go home or juvie LOL the staff was very nice it's way more than I expected I had told my grandson that I would like to try to maybe donate some stuff for them to do you know games and stuff like that but he said no mamaw we have plenty of stuff to do I get to choose my chores and I chose to cut grass what she likes because his papa never lets him we're about an hour and a half for longer away from there but it's really nice as we were there they was cooking them po'boys french fries and I'm trying to think something else but he said he's eating very good there and you know they pretty much mentor them and cancel them and they don't see race the one man that works the board is you know the one that told me that and he was so kind to us he seemed like he really cared about my grandson

Ample handicapped parking, when you walk up they are ALWAYS playing patriotic music, doors can be opened automatically or if you prefer to just push but most of the time the security guard scrambles to do it for you and pushes the automatic button for you. The front desk staff, the nursing staff, the social services staff, radiology… absolutely the best of the best- they never ever lose their cool with some of the grumpier old Veterans (which by the way they ARE a Veteran- they have earned the right to be grumpy- just not rude y’all 😉)❤️🤍💙🇱🇷Anyways- every time I go with my dad- He’s a Vietnam Veteran- I’m always amazed at how so very kind, upmost respectful and sweet the staff is. Not sure about other medical staff but my dad has Dr Gautam, Mrs. Myra and a new nurse (I can’t remember her name) but by golly this crew is so attentive, listens, finds solutions and helps my dad AND me with him! They should be so proud of the service they provide to our Veterans! Just exemplary service from the minute you walk in till you leave🇱🇷♥️🤍💙❤️🤍💙

Edgefield first caught my attention because of its location and history but upon arrival I was introduced to the compassionate staff that made me feel at home. The repuposed plantation house is such a charm with beautiful chandeliers, fireplaces, and paintings to gaze at between classes, meals, or in the afternoon. The staff was so caring and involved in my recovery process. They genuinely are concerned for the patients and it shines through all of the employees, from the physicians, techs, and lunch room employees. Being set on a quiet bayou with lots of wildlife to observe and appreciate. I recommend a volleyball game during your stay. The food was amazing and filling, so if you are on a diet I suggest passing on the 2 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches they offer as snack. Thank you for helping me so that I could help others.

Absolutely beautiful grounds and the most supportive, caring, and loving staff. From the moment I walked in at Intake I immediately felt welcomed. Was greeted by staff that also had personaly experienced the recovery journey. Having that in common made it easier for me to be able to start forgiving myself and focusing on my sobriety. The techs were able to guide me , answering all my questions and calming my anxiety. There was plenty of other clients to talk to. We enjoyed fishing, volley ball and basketball. Staff even played with us. My counselor was able to listen, be empathetic but also hold me accountable. Which I needed more than I knew at the time. The atmosphere was relaxing and perfect for my self healing. I can't thank Edgefield Recovery Center enough for giving me the opportunity to get my life back. One I am proud of. I would strongly recommend Edgefield to anyone ready to start their journey. We had nightly AA meetings, small groups, one on one counseling, mediation, yoga, gratitude, family meal's. (BTWThe food is Great!!)Edgefield Recovery Center saved me. The discharge planner was even able and willing to work with me to find me a sober living home in my preferred area to where I was able to get a job, have transportation and begin on a healthy path!! This is the place you’re looking for. You are treated as an adult and still have your freedoms. The gates are open so you’re free to leave but I’m willing to bet if you come with an open mind and heart you won’t want to. If you’re wanting help and looking for a beautiful place for you to look inside and work on what’s necessary to get sober, this is it. The staff truly cares about you and your sobriety. I wasn’t really excited about coming here, because who really wants to go to treatment, but I now feel that I have a second home.

I have been a professional interventionist since 2010. I was introduced to this program in 2012. I have been referring there since then. My clients have always had a positive experience and the clinical and support staff are the most responsive and knowledgeable. They want what’s best for the client and the family and have long term options. They do very well young adult males and most recently I referred a 69 year old man first time treatment. It was a family member and he’s doing very well and committed to 90 days of treatment. I can’t thank the clinical staff and administrators enough for the program they have created. I started going to Miracle place about two months ago and I haven't been the same since 🙃. I have since grown so much closer to god and have been surrounded by a real church family. The childlike feeling while serving christ really got deeper when I hit those double doors. This church really builds it's people for god in the best ways I never thought we're possible. I can't wait for Thursdays and Sundays to run through those doors with a smile. Everything from the Pastor's, worship team, dinners and family is like no other church I've ever attended.

I never been sum1 to do drugs until recent n since then I've lost everything n didn't care about anything or anyone but that drug since then I even lost temp custody of my son due to drugs and I've tried n want to quit for a while even tried diff o.p. places that didn't helpn so far I' only been to 2 meetings at pathways 1 which was a assess for 4 hours but in that assess I talked to 3 diff people all that asked alot of ? N also that talked to me after we was done nI can tell u anyone who is looking n really wants to get clean should go here the counselor over Theo. P. Meetings is wonderful she cares and don't even attempt to judge u.. She gives me hope and shows she really wants to help me with my addiction no matter what... If only I could've met her sooner..i know now for sure I will be sober and she gives me hopes for me n my sons future She's awesome n ur addiction or past dnt matter she does not care u can see in her eyes she cares n even have to know you at all gives u hope

Dr. Monette is a great psychiatrist. I've been seeing him for about 11 years & he has helped me tremendously. He is very caring & genuinely listens. I hope he never leaves. The staff is friendly also. The counselors are a different story from my experience.

Staff are good, beds are alright but need improvement, and over all the place is fine but I think the staff deserve better pay since I saw what they have to handle there and I know how medical facilities pay their staff sometimes and the things the staff have to deal with here warrants a increase in their pay for what they deal with

I came to this place the 19th of December 2024. It was a nice facility! They treated me with respect and compassion. The techs/nurses played bingo with us, we did arts and crafts, they took us outside for fresh air, they were all for the most part very professional and caring! A few people stood out to me. I was on the quiet wing and made friends while I was there. I am so very thankful for the staff at this place!!!

Hi a former patient on the childrens side of the institute This is a safe place for children my age or any age who want to kill/harm themselves Nurses are sweet and caring to all children like they are their own especially this one lady so sad i couldn’t remember her name she was such a graceful woman i am happily satisfied with my experience!

As with anything in life you ONLY get what YOU put into something, including mental health. I WAS skeptical about embarking on this with Beacon only because my inpatient stay many years ago with them was forced. Everyone that I have encountered in my 3 day a week day program has changed my perspective. From Mrs. Lisa, Alyssa all the way through Ms. Jessie and Patricia. I'm enjoying my days a lot more.

My mother is a patient right now and the staff has provided me with the most information about my moms condition. Well, there is always room for improvement. Regardless of what a place may specialize in. I was a patient there. Most people dont understand what the staff is up against daily. In my opinion, they do what is best for the patient. Although there are patients who require alternative measures. The patients mental, and physical well being is always their main concern.
