This place was a life changer. Kevin James speaks the truth and is straight up with you. He explains things in a way even a toddler can learn. If you can't handle him being blunt with you, then you're probably not ready for sobriety. He makes you look at your own bullshit that you've been hiding behind for so long. The counselors and staff are AMAZING and KIND here and the rules aren't really much to follow if you act like an adult. The food is pretty yuck though so bring snacks and maybe a pillow.

This place taught me how addiction works. As I read the reviews I see a lot of people saying the staff was rude. They told us what we needed to hear and not what we wanted to hear and I appreciated that. If I want to be waited on/ pampered I would go to a resort. I went there after trying to get sober on my own for years and it was the single best decision I ever made. That was 4.75 years ago. If you put in the work it can/will work they teach you and lay out a road map that works. I m living proof. Then the rest is up to you to string together good decisions and use the tolls you learned. If you stop putting in the work nothing will work.

Very helpful staff and resources for low income families. Very important services.They COULD have a play area for the children tho. I mean, it IS a facility for families. The wait time for certain services can be quite long. By the time I leave here with my 3 year old, I'm ready to call it a day! There's NOTHING in here for them to do. There's a small table with chairs, but that's it, so, I guess you'll need to bring toys, books, things from home to keep your child entertained.

I attended the Intensive outpatient program there. It surpasses other similar programs I have tried in the past. The team there really cares for the patients and makes sure they help you get to class. Very responsive with any problems you may face even after hours. Great program and great team they have to support the needs of the clients. I highly recommend this if your in the need of similar services.

If it weren't for St. Christopher's we would still be wading through the confusion of what to do about our alcoholic loved one. The pain was close to unbearable. We were all lost and so very tired. St. Chris was recommended to us and the counselors and techs there made the difference. After three months, our loved one graduated and transitioned with the help of staff. The combination of medical supervision, group therapy, and 24/7 supervision was the key to finding the path we are on now. Our alcoholic is over six months sober and proud. It's a day at a time, but we are thankful for this second chance, given to us by the caring folks at St. Christopher's.

The immense knowledge I have gained from my student program, as well as nearly a year of staff work, has laid the foundation on which I have been able to start building a life I never thought I could achieve.From being a hair away from a bid in prison, to a high functioning and appreciative member of society, I share the wealth of knowledge I learned here with everyone who is facing conflict in their own lives.The program is not easy, and will force you to take ultimate responsibility for all aspects of your life. This was the first rehab I had ever went to. This was in 2015 or 16 well they were located I think in Lafayette and when I got signed in to stay they were moving like the 3rd day that I was there to sunset location . It was cool to see . The old one looked like a house it was cool . I had came in and almost passed out and the nurses and staff made sure I was ok and saw a doctor and that mentally I was okay . I may not have been at my best but the staff and everyone here was so beyond kind and cared about everyone's sobriety and it was individualized and personal . It was pricey back then I'm not sure about now . I had ended leaving but I never forgot and alot of people will say it's about how people treat you that people remember. It helped me in the sobriety process . They were still kind and wanted me to stay so much but I needed something else . Well because I had went for the time length I stayed I got an AA book and I kept it all these years and today it still helps and has helped heal me. If it wasn't for that place I wouldn't know the AA way.

The staff here is genuinely concerned with your well being and want to see you succeed, they give you every opportunity to return to society with the tools you need to stay sober. I have to say the food wasn’t bad either, I didn’t like the roommate part, and the beds were comfortable just like the chairs.. everything else was pretty good, and I got to call my people a lot. The medication assisted program makes the road to recovery easier and possible. Unfortunately TriCare East is not accepted! I brought it to their attention being that they advertise TriCare . The issues that occurred in my treatment all stemmed from this not accepting TriCare .Otherwise,the program will assist you in finding your way back.
