Powerhouse was a great experience. It helped me to be grateful for everything I have in my life. I was given an amazing opportunity to practice the principles I learned in my inpatient program. I was given opportunities to help others and bond with fellow patients. The staff are all Powerhouse alumni and are very passionate and knowledgeable about recovery. I am extremely fortunate to have gone through the Powerhouse program and absolutely recommend this facility to anyone struggling with addiction who is looking for a path to recovery.

We have a family member needing help the last 4 months and has finally been put in a hospital that wants to help. Third hospital and we finally have a diagnosis (thanks to St James) and a team of professionals that are dedicated to making sure patients receive the best care possible. We can finally sleep at night knowing our loved one is where she needs to be and the staff there is working hard to give her her life back. She will never be the same but that’s a good thing, her mind was torturing her and the staff there is teaching her how to live with her disease and prescribing the medicine that will help stabilize her. St James is the best place if you have any mental health issues, the absolute best.

If it weren't for St. Christopher's we would still be wading through the confusion of what to do about our alcoholic loved one. The pain was close to unbearable. We were all lost and so very tired. St. Chris was recommended to us and the counselors and techs there made the difference. After three months, our loved one graduated and transitioned with the help of staff. The combination of medical supervision, group therapy, and 24/7 supervision was the key to finding the path we are on now. Our alcoholic is over six months sober and proud. It's a day at a time, but we are thankful for this second chance, given to us by the caring folks at St. Christopher's.

I left Narconon in September of 2022.I am enrolled in school now with my own apartment, car, and healthy relationships with all my friends and family.Considering I came from about as rock bottom as it could get (broken hearted, socially despised, and facing felony charges), I have completely altered the outcome of my life with the help of these dedicated and knowledgeable staff members.This is a 10 star place! The immense knowledge I have gained from my student program, as well as nearly a year of staff work, has laid the foundation on which I have been able to start building a life I never thought I could achieve.From being a hair away from a bid in prison, to a high functioning and appreciative member of society, I share the wealth of knowledge I learned here with everyone who is facing conflict in their own lives.The program is not easy, and will force you to take ultimate responsibility for all aspects of your life. Very helpful staff and resources for low income families. Very important services.They COULD have a play area for the children tho. I mean, it IS a facility for families. The wait time for certain services can be quite long. By the time I leave here with my 3 year old, I'm ready to call it a day! There's NOTHING in here for them to do. There's a small table with chairs, but that's it, so, I guess you'll need to bring toys, books, things from home to keep your child entertained.

The medication assisted program makes the road to recovery easier and possible. Unfortunately TriCare East is not accepted! I brought it to their attention being that they advertise TriCare . The issues that occurred in my treatment all stemmed from this not accepting TriCare .Otherwise,the program will assist you in finding your way back.

I attended the Intensive outpatient program there. It surpasses other similar programs I have tried in the past. The team there really cares for the patients and makes sure they help you get to class. Very responsive with any problems you may face even after hours. Great program and great team they have to support the needs of the clients. I highly recommend this if your in the need of similar services.

I absolutely love the staff and care I receive from the Louisiana VA. I keep seeing all of the negativity that seems to be expressed due to one specific situation, but I can say if there was a bad situation that I have had someone was there to correct it immediately. I absolutely appreciate all of my providers and how they have been able to accomplish more than any of the other states VA's that I have received care from. As with anything in life you ONLY get what YOU put into something, including mental health. I WAS skeptical about embarking on this with Beacon only because my inpatient stay many years ago with them was forced. Everyone that I have encountered in my 3 day a week day program has changed my perspective. From Mrs. Lisa, Alyssa all the way through Ms. Jessie and Patricia. I'm enjoying my days a lot more.

Can't speak for today, but I entered Tau Center 3/5/95 (29.5 years ago. Week 1 in the detox ward, 2 in the inpatient wing, 3&4 outpatient. I have now been sober 10,797 days, ODAT!! God is good!!

i have no idea about the other reviews but this was genuinely a good experience, they might have changed some things after all the bad reviews or complaints? im not sure but the staff there are amazing, i only have problems with one of them, i do not know her name but shes like...very rude. and your stay is determined on your Medicaid!!!!! not your mental health!but it does work tho! i dont have any more thoughts of suici***! but i have a bad feeling with dr deback about the way he diagnoses people, the kids i was in with said he diagnoses everyone with bipolar, but i did not. in conclusion the place is sick and mrs kay is the best staff member to ever exists along with mr joey. 100% would never come again (because i have no reason to!)

This is a true review about Ocean behavioral health on Howell Boulevard in Baton Rouge.My significant other Went to Umc New Orleans, at least four times this year, each time being discharged without being better.This last time, Umc did not accept the Behavior health section at Umc center two hours away to Ocean Baton Rouge. At the time this was troubling to me, but, turned out to be a good thing because Umc was very difficult to deal with as a caregiver. Ocean Baton Rouge is like night and day compared to Umc, Ocean was cleaner and better maintained then Umc, and the staff could not be any nicer or more professional. the staff at Oceans always answer the phonealways answers your questions, and they are always nice and polite and professional .I would recommend to anyone in need of help with behavioral health to consider Ocean Baton Rouge, Two hours one way is a long trip to make, but I would gladly make it instead of the 20 minute one way to Umc. I would absolutely bring my loved one to Ocean and the future. Should she ever need Behavior health help again.

It was the best decision I made for myself. The staff is professional and friendly, and always there. I would like to say going in always remember patience is a virtue in the beginning, but the outcome that you get leaving is amazing. I have learned so much about myself and others. I will always be the best person I can be. thanks for all the nurses all the MHT for their amazing support they gave me through my journey.
