I have been using the Hammond VA Clinic as my primary care facility since September 2016 and I have to say that I have been well served with my medical needs and services there. Prior to this I used the Baton Rouge VA Clinic for at least 25 + years. As a long time VA patient having experienced Veteran's Health care services now for over 30 years I rate the Hammond VA Clinic as a premium professional health care facility.

Every time I go in for any kind of appointment, no matter what it is. I am in and out. They always give me what I need in a record amount of time. I have never seen a clinic ran this amazing before!
This clinic is absolutely amazing. Every single person that I have come into contact with has been professional caring and kind. I had been addicted to opiates for almost 15 years and had tried many things to get clean over the years, but was unsuccessful. This is the first time I've ever been able to manage my life in the way that I see fit. I highly recommend Baarts Clinic in Hammond. Megan,Shelby,Preston, and Chad are the best at treating you with respect and with kindness. They all are
consistently outstanding, exceeding health care the way it is suppose to be in all clinics. I am completely impressed with their professionalism and their caring nature. This is the only clinic I've been to that truly treats you like a human being. They dont treat you like you're a criminal

I was really nervous going into treatment but the staff was great, there was always someone available if I needed anything from headache medicine, or just someone to talk to. I would definitely recommend them to anyone thats considering getting sober.

Lake Wellness helped me so very much and Bruce Steinberg let us make the group our own. I made friends that will last a lifetime. I would not be sober today if it wasn't for him and the Lake Wellness staff!!

After receiving 30 days of inpatient treatment for alcohol, I continued my care at Lake Wellness. Bruce Steinberg has been an incredible asset in my recovery; I cannot say enough good things about him. He created a safe and non-judgmental space for his clients, and each day of the week had a specific agenda, which kept the meetings fresh and interesting. I thoroughly appreciated the activities and concepts that we explored. His group was open-minded and empathetic and was a place for growth, healing, and connection for me. I made friends I will have for life in this program and will forever be grateful for the care and support I received at Lake Wellness.
The staff was amazing, made me feel at home and did everything to accommodate me and help me start my sobriety journey. Highly recommend.

I recognize Townsend not only as a great recovery center but also as a huge support system that allows you to get back into your normal life without feeling overwhelmed with guilt of your past decisions of whatever that may be for you that led you here .Townsend saved my life and opened up a door I kept closed for too long! Thank you for making me feel safe and comfortable through my entire experience. All of the staff from the CNA to the anesthesiologist were so nice and informative of what I should expect from the surgical experience to my post op recovery. A huge shoutout to Dr Heather Barnes!!! She is a wonderful doctor with such an incredible bedside manner, and is so knowledgeable. I had a wonderful, educational experience at Longbranch. It was part my willingness, but the major part was the education in the science of addiction plus the deep dive into the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. Counselors, doctors, and staff were caring and helped me decide how I could further my treatment after Longbranch. I wish I had gone to Longbranch when I first realized that my drinking was a problem.
I was in here for about 2 weeks. It was alright. Staff were rude and careless, but not all. So many activities to do, a large gym where you can play your own music which is therapeutic for me, art stuff, and outdoor activities. kid in a wheelchair got the proper help, ect ect.. Overall not the best hospital, but a good one.

A few things about Covington Behavioral Health!
I was a recent patient here a few days ago. This was my second time around. They ended up putting me in Unit B, which was absolutely awful. The technicians were yelling at patients, ripping off the magnetic bathroom doors, and were extremely emotionless. I ended up having a panic attack, and told one of the charge nurses, she then told me I had to wait 30 mins till medicine time at 8pm. I ended up sitting there shaking and crying the entire time! Not even one of those people comforted me or asked me if I was okay. It felt more like a chore for them than their job. I ended up calling my mother who complained and I asked to be moved to Unit A (Calm Unit). I have nothing but amazing reviews for Unit A. The nurses are amazing. The techs are amazing. Doctors are amazing. The patients are even better over there because it is a place for people with certain problems who want a more quiet space and can heal peacefully! The only BAD thing about this place is the food. Some of it is okay, but they should really have healthier options for people who are healing. Portion sizes should be bigger too, because some of us are taking medicines that make us hungrier or even getting our appetites back! Consider it. Thank you to everyone who helped me here. I can not appreciate everyone enough.
Springfield Wellness Center is the first step that God led me to discard my old ways and build a new way of life. I have complete Gratitude for this clinic and more importantly Dr. Paula and the whole staff at Springfield Wellness Center. Nurse Angela is exactly what her name means an angel and messenger from God and a great nurse too. All the nurses fit this same description they were comforting, extremely attenuative, and calmed my anxiety as well as make me smile which was not easy for me at that point in my life. I entered the treatment close to death and saturated with Alcohol I left 10 days clean. I did follow with IOP treatment and embraced the AA fellowship program and today by the Grace of God and his will I am 4 months and 10 days clean of any harmful substance. Springfield Wellness Center is a special place, the grounds, facilities, food, NAD treatment, most of all the people that are there. I am blessed to have started my new journey there and highly recommend their program of care. I hope that I will be able to revisit in the future for NAD boosters.

I can not say enough about Springfield wellness center.....
Starting with the help, and guidance prior to coming to the facility, followed by the time at the facility during the treatment.
The staff makes you feel like family, their open arms make this experience be on a level no other places offer.
It welcomes the whole family, with support, and years of wisdom each person has.
It feels like a home away from home. A support system that will always be there for all. I could go on and on. It is a 5 plus star I can guarantee you.

I write this review after having a horrific experience at Oceans’s Behavioral Health in Hammond in July of 2023. (I encourage you to read my review for them before allowing your dementia family member go there!)
When my dad was sent again to geriatric psych at Lakeview, I was scared we were about to experience the same thing again, especially after seeing the reviews on here!
However, our experience at Lakeview was completely different. My dad spent 4 weeks at Lakeview over the Christmas holidays and beyond. I was able to visit him between 3:30 and 4:30 everyday. The facility was very clean and simply resembled a hospital setting. I was escorted to his room each day but was able to puts eyes on other patients, the group room, the nursing station, etc. while there. The doors to patient rooms were open and I never saw anything disturbing or anyone tied to a bed as one lady who left a review wondered about. I never heard any shouting or yelling by staff or patients. It simply just reminded me of a normal hospital setting.
I visited my dad almost every single day during his four weeks there. In those visits, I often checked my dad’s body for marks and gauged how he felt about the staff that often dropped in to say hello when I was there.
My dad seemed clean, generally content, awake and aware, chatty and friendly with the staff. Everyone who interacted with he and I were very kind.
Kianti (Tay) who escorted me daily was the sweetest gentleman and my dad really enjoyed him.
Overall, I was pleased with the care he received. As a caregiver to a Dementia patient with behavioral issues it’s tough to be their advocate and protect them. I would allow my dad to go back to Lakeview if the need arises. I hope this review helps someone else.

I have been a professional interventionist since 2010. I was introduced to this program in 2012. I have been referring there since then. My clients have always had a positive experience and the clinical and support staff are the most responsive and knowledgeable. They want what’s best for the client and the family and have long term options. They do very well young adult males and most recently I referred a 69 year old man first time treatment. It was a family member and he’s doing very well and committed to 90 days of treatment. I can’t thank the clinical staff and administrators enough for the program they have created. There isn't enough space to say how I feel about Lake Wellness. I woke up on 9/10/23 and decided to reach out to them via online. I filled out a form and was called within minutes offering help. I honestly could not do it by myself. The staff there is exceptional. The counselors there were exceptional. And the doctor very caring. Everytime I went in I felt like I was walking into home and knew I was safe. Thank you so much Lake Wellness, yall saved my life!!!!!

I have only ever been to one other treatment center. (if you could even call the 1st that) and just by the level of care, commitment, compassion shown, and individual concern shown by each and every one of the members at NOLA DETOX, ALL of whom go above and beyond for every single patient and/or resident that comes into their care. Words alone, just simply cannot describe. If you are just sick of living the way you have been. Or you want to be the person that you know you are capable of being. You owe it to yourself to give yourself the best chance of recovery success you can find and call the people at NOLA DETOX. From the executive director Cedric Royal. The head nurse Ms. Opal. All of the resident nurses, Yoshi, Jovianna, Stephanie, Ariel, Sam, just to name a few. Then there are the techs Jonathan, Danielle, Derrick, Kevin, Ms. Aqua, Cherry, India, Hunter, Adam, Ms. Kendra, and yes, even Patrick.(😁Lol). Jonathan, my counselor has been a godsend in innumerable ways, and is a wonderful person and someone who I call not just a friend. But a brother. And that is a very beautiful thing, indeed...The entirety of it is a one of a kind experience that you receive there that let's you know NOLA DETOX is NOT JUST ANOTHER treatment facility. They are all a FAMILY, and the environment and atmosphere I recommend and suggest highly to anyone looking for treatment to reach out to admissions without hesitation... Residential treatment and their follow-up IOP services are both first class. And they are what I owe my recovery, my health, and my present-day sobriety to. As well as the wellbeing and sobriety of some people whom I love dearly. Including my fiance. and I do not even want to imagine where my life would be right now if I had not have had the courage to take that initial step and actually held my own self accountable for the way my life had become. It was MY actions and MY choices that had led to the unmanageable state of a mess that my life was in. Having tried it my way so many times and each time falling short, I was so close to giving up. And what a shame and waste of life that would have been. Therefore I'm glad I didn't give up. Instead I gave in, gave it to my lord and savior, and gave the caring professionals at NOLA DETOX a call. Narcanon Louisiana is a safe haven. This is a place that can help you drastically change your life if that’s what you need. The entire staff has first-hand knowledge of what a drug addict is going through, and that carries a lot of weight toward rehabilitation guidance. The tactics used here are outside of the box, and they are teaching powerful methods of conflict resolution that can be applied in so many life situations. A person always has to be proactive in their own path in life, and this program shows you how to forgive yourself and move forward in a more meaningful way than previously experienced. I left Narconon in September of 2022.
I am enrolled in school now with my own apartment, car, and healthy relationships with all my friends and family.
Considering I came from about as rock bottom as it could get (broken hearted, socially despised, and facing felony charges), I have completely altered the outcome of my life with the help of these dedicated and knowledgeable staff members.
This is a 10 star place! The immense knowledge I have gained from my student program, as well as nearly a year of staff work, has laid the foundation on which I have been able to start building a life I never thought I could achieve.
From being a hair away from a bid in prison, to a high functioning and appreciative member of society, I share the wealth of knowledge I learned here with everyone who is facing conflict in their own lives.
The program is not easy, and will force you to take ultimate responsibility for all aspects of your life. The unrivaled support and relationships you acquire here will last you a lifetime, but you have to first be honest with yourself.
I don’t mean to put down anyone’s subjective experience, however, the one star views prove to me presence of an intense bias.
Proof? Why are there no 2 or 3 star votes? How is something either 5 stars or 1?
Contemplate that for a second like I have and you will come to the reasonable conclusion that those 1 star-raters have a strong emotional bias towards situations that they feel they were victim to.
This place only means to help!

The staff is amazing here they really care about you and your sobriety. This was the best desicion I took. From Mr Devan teaching and breaking down everything in a way that a 2 yr old will understand it. By the time he's done with you your going to learn and understand your addiction and the disease. About the mental obsession and the physical allergy. You'll see what it means to see someone love and live his calling in helping others. From Miss Tori recieving you on Day 1 when your nervous and scared She'll make you feel calm and at ease before passing you to the next person. To Mr Rick doing your admission even he makes you feel at ease and relaxed and Your treated as a human being without any judgements sometimes you forget what it is to be treated like a person and not be seen as something less. From the Counslers Mr Alfred, Brandon. They really take helping you in your journey really serious. Mrs Ronda and Mario wow do they open your eyes thru certain excersize and experiences That you'll take part in i wont spoil it but if you want to experience life changing moments this is the place to be. The Staff is just so amazing and caring and take their role in helping you very serious and to the heart. From all the Techs that go to the ends of the world to help you and take care of you as best as they can and do as much as they are able to do trust they will do with love and empathy.The detox Techs Rachel ,JT, Mr Henry they make detox very comfortable. In Residential when you come in from detox and the residential techs Felix,Deval, Mr Jefferson,Jada, Carly, Cara,BIG Mike these Techs go all out for you. And they truly love you. As long as your respectful and mindful and respect their time and effort they put in helping you without even knowing you but all these staff members show you love and kindness that you haven't experienced in a long time. and without any judgment and putting you down becasue they been in your shoes and know what you are feeling and going thru casue basically all have been where you are. This is a life changing program trust me when it say that and I garuntee if you really want and take your sobriety serious then this is where you want to go and be. Please if your second guessing if you should go just take the leap of faith and go. you won't regret it and you'll be glad you did. The place is super clean . The food is amazing. Your stay is very comfortable. They try to remove any obstacle that can or will deter you from achieving sobriety so that you can just focus on you and your sobriety. Even the nurses there take really good care of you. SO PLEASE JUST TAKE THE LEAPNOF FAITH AND GO TAKE YOUR SOBRIETY BACK YOU THANK ME THAT I ENCOURGED you TO GO. Just do it ONE DAY AT A TIME! I was thinking about this place today for some reason. I spent 29 days here in 2015 or late 2014. Anyway I remember it was a very good program. The scenery is beautiful and many long walks around the facility. I was glad we could smoke as well. I remember going to the local Catholic Church nearby. Oh yes and the food was delicious. Females were there as well, but no peeking lol. Overall a good place if you wanna sober up and stay off the destructive path.

Woodlake changed my life. The staff there was very good to me and worked with me whenever I needed anything.
