My family's experience with Avenues Recovery Center was truly life-changing. My sister struggled with severe drug addiction for years, and we felt lost and hopeless. Reaching out to Avenues was one of the best decisions we ever made. From the moment we contacted them, the staff was compassionate, understanding, and professional. They provided a safe and supportive environment for my sister to begin her recovery journey. The treatment program was comprehensive and tailored to her individual needs. The therapists and counselors were incredibly skilled and dedicated, helping her address the root causes of her addiction and develop healthy coping mechanisms. The aftercare support was also invaluable, providing her with the tools and resources she needed to maintain her sobriety.Today, my sister is four+ years sober and now an employee at Avenues Recovery Center, helping others on their recovery journeys. She's happily married and just welcomed her second child. We are incredibly grateful to Avenues Recovery Center for giving her, and our family, a second chance at life. We can't recommend them highly enough. If you or a loved one is struggling with addiction, please reach out to them. They offer hope and healing, and they truly care. Thank you, Avenues!

The 10 effect of the avenues black mamba.....Defense mechanism, beliefs, anxiety, balance, compromising, productive, aggressiveness, issues, problem's,bad or good behaviors every day you wore them up your sleeves, and more and you wore them well but when I learned who you were was hard for me to believe,by any means necessary lord knows no surrender know retreat was your beliefs no games or schemes, now I see why other called you the true Ms.Recovery,I'm no M.L.K.but the day I walked through them doors I had a dream, you get what you put in when you work hard for something you develop a different kinda attachment for it just like your disease, and the gift of recovery is what you wanted all of us to achieve,to join the list of greatness without compromising who we are and what we have build an defense mechanism only we could see,we are who we are until we walk through that front door to leave the bullshit in the streets,to be productive in ur own recovery, all the streets and the anxiety of relationships and all the other behaviors that's bad must be released,on the contrary say an do what you mean, problem solving and everything in-between, excessive conversation on or off the phone makes being there harder at times it may seem, you was always full of data your Internet is always on,just a reminder you came there by yourself try to leave alone, find your own zone,I'm not talking about cox but after awhile it felt good calling home, you gave me this and I can go on an on these 10 effects and a few months later I'm still clean and I wrote this in your honor,to me your avenues black mamba so I will end this with you was my blessing in there andThank you Ms.DonnaSo mite not understand this and the wording, that's ok but if you are anything like I was this is the place you need to be, when you go be open minded the staff is the best from the front desk all the way through they are showing you a different perspective of living,I'm a souechef but they have the recipe to recovery...one day you will have to get serious about you....

NOLA Detox saved my life. Treatment there has given me hope and the tools I need to beat my addiction. Their team of mental and behavioral health professionals helped me every step of the way.Throughout my 28 day stay the clinical team put together a comprehensive care plan. That included medication assisted treatment, group, individual, & family therapy, one on one psychiatrist visits, and recovery groups. Additionally I took part in the professional training group sessions and nutrition & wellness discussions that were offered.I enjoyed the Queen sized bed and the large plasma screen Roku TV in my Patient Suite. My two roommates and I enjoyed binge watching on Netflix.Copeland's provided the many delicious options at mealtimes. My clothes were even sent out to a professional laundry service.A nature trail and lush grounds were well maintained and ideal for jogging, walking, and meditation. My stay wouldn't have been what it was if it wasn't for the kind and empathetic staff that went above and beyond. A team of caring nurses and techs encouraged me on my recovery journey. I would not have been able to do have done this without them.My recovery journey is ongoing. NOLA Detox is still by my side. After my graduation from the program I have entered the Intensive Outpatient Program. With the help of NOLA Detox I'm moving forward and stepping out of the dark shadow of substance abuse.

They dealt with me, kindly, I wasn't nice at all. I still have doctors they set me up with. 5/6 years ago, I was there. Before you judge staff, look at yourself. Detox, is hard. I was there when I was 15 and it was a horrible place to be I am transgender and I go by he him pronouns and I go by the name Ace and they refused to Valk me by what I preferred they would say that it was against hippa laws even though I knew that was a lie because I was in dcfs and my own judge called me by these things. While I was there I felt very uncomfortable by certain things, like when I would self harm or even had thoughts about it they would put me in see through scrubs and I was not allowed to shower or use the bathroom in private, there was always a staff in the room. When I was there I got sick and they said that they would be surprised if it was covid which it was and they didn't test me for a week. They would completely disregard what we where going through and wouldn't even let us talk most of the time we had about 2 or 3 hours of the day to talk. I am now 18 and am still suffering from what happened there. On my 16 birthday we had a talent show and my therapist told me that I shouldn't have won because of the song I sang. But in reality I won it far and square. Please do not send your kids there.

Here are many of the terrible experiences I had here:1. They lied on every single thing that is on the website2. The facility always smelled like weed and/or cigarettes and when the patients would complain that it was a trigger than they would get yelled at for disrespecting an adult3. The therapists, nurses, and techs would CONSTANTLY violate our HIPPA laws and talk about our personal issues and I v first handily been in the room while they ve done this4. If you got hungry past dinner time (which was at 5) u got a snack at 630 and were denied anything else5. If ur parent did not answer ur call the first time you did not get to call again. Even if the parent called back, you couldn t answer6. I saw multiple children get injured here because they belonged in a detention home.7. They have this thing called pause where it s 48 hrs of seclusion where even if they find out u didn t do anything, you couldn t be taken off8. Children would lie on other children CONSTANTLY and didn t get in trouble for it and they would NEVER listen to the victims events of what happened.9. We were treated like animals and if u were caught hurting yourself or even had thoughts they would make u wear see through clothes for 3 days or until they determined u could get ur stuff back not only that but you were also put on pause FOR HURTING YOURSELF U GET PUT IN SECLUSION???I went here in 2022, as I see it by the most recent reviews, nothing has changed. I m going to college in the fall and have recovered mentally. Please do not send your child here. It s not worth it. Get them help somewheres else because I wouldn t wish my experience here on anyone.P.S. on my birthday they promised me cupcakes and a call to my mother that they never gave me. Got my hopes up and then turned their back and changed their mind the day before. And when I cried they made me bring my stuff in the hallway for pause

I was here February-March in the eating disorder specialty unit. There cannot be enough positive praise for the level of care and support I received the entire time. The intake coordinator fought for me to be able to get into this program which I have never had anyone do for me before. From the moment I arrived the staff at the front desk in admissions to all of the doctors, nurses, and mental health workers were attentive to my needs and helped me to navigate a very challenging but transformational program format. I was so thankful for having individual therapy every day as I felt that was a key to my success. The courses and classes provided were not fluff but dove into the heart of the issues most needed to be addressed. I would highly highly recommend this program for someone who is absolute recovery mode as the program will push your limits and boundaries as an individual w an eating disorder to be fully engaged and committed to recovery and relapse. My only complaint is the poor service the kitchen provided this speciality unit. The meals were often portioned incorrectly and often time who mine items were not sent at all. I believe there should be a kitchen team specifically designated for the allocation, prep, and delivery of meals to this unit as meals are the center of a patient w an eating disorder primary source of anxiety. Also it keeps staff busy trying to fix problems they shouldn t have to. It wastes time energy and also takes away from therapeutic processes. That being said I am so thankful for my experience here and highly recommended it!

This program was very educational and supportive during my personal recovery journey. I met some really wonderful people, staff were friendly and caring. Paul was my counselor and I can t say enough about his true compassion and gentle yet eye opening approach in both his group classes and our individual sessions. He takes his time and genuinely seems to want to be there, helping his clients. We did 2 family sessions that really helped my husband and I improve our communication. Dr. Caudill is one of the best psychiatrists I ve ever been treated by- his bedside manner is awesome. I learned a lot about myself in 9 weeks and became much more involved in the AA program thanks to Alchemy offering on site AA meetings weekly. The group sessions allow you to check in , learn a topic, and receive support if you re needing to process something difficult. At the end of treatment you have the opportunity to share your personal story which was a big weight off my shoulders sharing where I ve been and where I am now. The certificate and chip they give you upon graduation are a really special way to celebrate completing the program. I give this outpatient rehab 5 stars for friendliness, professionalism, effectiveness and even enjoyment. Thank you Alchemy, I ll never forget this experience and most of all, thank you for helping me seize my life back.

Mary song allows women an opportunity to step out of their routine and marinate in the presence of the Holy Spirit. It is only then that they can be transformed and walk into all that the Lord has for them. The world says if you have a problem just go to a doctor or take more pills but the Bible says we can find healing in Gods son Jesus Christ and through the leading of the Holy Spirit we can be put on a better path. One that is free of all the chains that bind us. Amen

There isn't enough space to say how I feel about Lake Wellness. I woke up on 9/10/23 and decided to reach out to them via online. I filled out a form and was called within minutes offering help. I honestly could not do it by myself. The staff there is exceptional. The counselors there were exceptional. And the doctor very caring. Everytime I went in I felt like I was walking into home and knew I was safe. Thank you so much Lake Wellness, yall saved my life!!!!!

While enduring a brutal chemotherapy and radiation treatment protocol for Stage 4 cancer and with my wife pregnant and the birth of our third son imminent my evil mother in law used this as an opportunity to steal our kids with outrageous lies to DCFS and to get our kids back we both were ordered into IOP for Substance Abuse regardless of what I was found to have was prescribed by my cancer Dr. I wasn't real hopeful for this government funded agency but I couldn't have been more wrong Our counselor, Ms Pearl Watson facilitated a diverse class of court or job ordered clients with a firm hand that demanded accountability but rewarded those in compliance . with compassion, empathy and a deep knowledge of tools to access for sustainable recovery. The Clinical director , I believe named Tianna had designed a treatment plan that was easy to learn, and encouraged us to reveal things about our behavior that didn't seem apparent at the time. These people were a rare mix of empathy and creative genius that make me grateful for the program and i will be eternally grateful for the impact they made in my life and the others I consider family forever. Great place that makes me sad to leave.

I can not tell you the number of times my husband and I have been made to feel as if we are in the staff's way. Do these people realize WHY they have a job? If not for the veteran they would be without employment In sure. Apparently non of them got the memo..."be kind today"!!! Shame on all of you. You should come to attention and salute these veterans for defending your freedom!!!
