This was the first time going to Compass. The staff there were very compassionate and supportive of whatever it was that you were going through. I can’t praise them enough as I spent almost four months at this facility. The therapists and educators were very knowledgeable and supportive. But I really have to give it up to the Program Director, as she is the glue that holds the facility and staff together. I can’t praise her and the staff enough! Keep up the good work 🙏🏾

First off I have been with SCLHSA for almost 2 decades now. Don't expect to see a doctor or counselor on the first visit or after the first phone call. I see a doctor, Dr Brice who is amazing and reads patient files and a counselor once a month. They can be overbooked and understaffed but do try to accommodate everyone. Yes I do have telehealth visits at the clinic as doctors are spread thin. I have never had any problems except for parking, which is no longer an issue, and people coming in thinking they can get seen right then and there with no consideration of others and yell at the workers who also have to worry about their own mental health.

On April 10th, I went to St. Charles Hospital to get an angiogram by Dr. Iftakhar( He's a great doctor). When I arrived, Lynette registered me into the hospital then Jodie, Shawn, Ashley and Courtney F. guided me through the procedure. This entire staff was friendly, courteous, and compassionate. I'd recommend this hospital to anyone!

Absolutely awesome ! Kudos to Day Surgery team and Dr Hearny. Had an endometrial biopsy done and it was a breeze. Everyone was very kind and professional and just down home great people. Highly recommended!

Dr. Monette is a great psychiatrist. I've been seeing him for about 11 years & he has helped me tremendously. He is very caring & genuinely listens. I hope he never leaves. The staff is friendly also. The counselors are a different story from my experience.

I am so grateful for this place and the wonderful staff! I have been going here for 7 years and have remain SOBER for every single day since I first stepped foot in the building. The Baton Rouge comprehensive Treatment Center has saved my life! The nurses, counselors, and other staff, are always so kind. They genuinely make you feel important here. Of course everything has its negatives, but the good completely outweighs the bad. I recommend this treatment center to anyone who is battling addiction to opioids. You don't have to do it alone! This place has improved greatly and you DO get out of it what you put into it. I must say though, with the exception of the receptionist, Mrs. V, and the nurses, management is still a bit rude.Ive been spoken down to quite a few times for no good reason, but overall it is a good option of you're serious about getting clean.

At this place, no one cares if you get your meds on time or not. The only good thing here is about three nurses, who do all they can, but their work is not enough, they do as much as they can. This center is a joke, the worst clinic ever!

We have a family member needing help the last 4 months and has finally been put in a hospital that wants to help. Third hospital and we finally have a diagnosis (thanks to St James) and a team of professionals that are dedicated to making sure patients receive the best care possible. We can finally sleep at night knowing our loved one is where she needs to be and the staff there is working hard to give her her life back. She will never be the same but that’s a good thing, her mind was torturing her and the staff there is teaching her how to live with her disease and prescribing the medicine that will help stabilize her. St James is the best place if you have any mental health issues, the absolute best.

I have been a professional interventionist since 2010. I was introduced to this program in 2012. I have been referring there since then. My clients have always had a positive experience and the clinical and support staff are the most responsive and knowledgeable. They want what’s best for the client and the family and have long term options. They do very well young adult males and most recently I referred a 69 year old man first time treatment. It was a family member and he’s doing very well and committed to 90 days of treatment. I can’t thank the clinical staff and administrators enough for the program they have created. After my last review the manager called me personally to apologize and I gave the place a second chance, worst mistake. I was in the hospital and they could not even get in touch with Dr. Lee. The doctor in the hospital said that they can never get in touch with anyone from this clinic, that I should find a different doctor and care team because Jeff care is not easy to get appointments with. I was discharged from the hospital and I called Jeff care who told me an after care team member would be contacting me for follow up, I called 5 times that week and left messages. No one ever returned my call, they never return your calls, they barely answer the phone. When I call anyone who answers gives an attitude, they are not helpful and make you feel uncomfortable.

I was in here for about 2 weeks. It was alright. Staff were rude and careless, but not all. So many activities to do, a large gym where you can play your own music which is therapeutic for me, art stuff, and outdoor activities. kid in a wheelchair got the proper help, ect ect.. Overall not the best hospital, but a good one.

A few things about Covington Behavioral Health!
I was a recent patient here a few days ago. This was my second time around. They ended up putting me in Unit B, which was absolutely awful. The technicians were yelling at patients, ripping off the magnetic bathroom doors, and were extremely emotionless. I ended up having a panic attack, and told one of the charge nurses, she then told me I had to wait 30 mins till medicine time at 8pm. I ended up sitting there shaking and crying the entire time! Not even one of those people comforted me or asked me if I was okay. It felt more like a chore for them than their job. I ended up calling my mother who complained and I asked to be moved to Unit A (Calm Unit). I have nothing but amazing reviews for Unit A. The nurses are amazing. The techs are amazing. Doctors are amazing. The patients are even better over there because it is a place for people with certain problems who want a more quiet space and can heal peacefully! The only BAD thing about this place is the food. Some of it is okay, but they should really have healthier options for people who are healing. Portion sizes should be bigger too, because some of us are taking medicines that make us hungrier or even getting our appetites back! Consider it. Thank you to everyone who helped me here. I can not appreciate everyone enough.

The Baton Rouge comprehensive Treatment Center has saved my life! The nurses, counselors, and other staff, are always so kind. They genuinely make you feel important here. Of course everything has its negatives, but the good completely outweighs the bad. I recommend this treatment center to anyone who is battling addiction to opioids. You don't have to do it alone! All involved with the bone marrow bi-opsy were considerate and helpful to make it a comfortable experience. Main problem was parking for the procedure was not helpful for us since my wife uses a walker. She drives well but the walking was the problem.
