This is the most wonderful outpatient program that I've ever been to. The director, counselors, therapists, staff and Doctors are genuinely concerned about their patients. This place is more than just a facility. It's a kind , caring atmosphere where you are able to receive treatment for your psychiatric needs. The workers have become like an extended family to me. I would highly recommend compass IOP to anyone seeking help. I graduated from Compass yesterday and have made so many wonderful memories 💓. Thank you Compass for being such a vital part of my life. 😀

Don't expect to see a doctor or counselor on the first visit or after the first phone. I see a doctor, Dr Brice who is amazing and reads patient files and a counselor once a month. They can be overbooked and understaffed but do try to accommodate everyone. Yes I do have telehealth visits at the clinic as doctors are spread thin. I have never had any problems except for parking, which is no longer an issue, and people coming in thinking they can get seen right then and there with no consideration of others and yell at the workers who also have to worry about their own mental health.

Doctors and Social Workers are still good, but the administration are always stressed and not very friendly, at all. Some of the nurses are great and competent, others, not so much. Sometimes they return calls, other times they do not.

I have been a professional interventionist since 2010. I was introduced to this program in 2012. I have been referring there since then. My clients have always had a positive experience and the clinical and support staff are the most responsive and knowledgeable. They want what’s best for the client and the family and have long term options. They do very well young adult males and most recently I referred a 69 year old man first time treatment. This was the first rehab I had ever went to. This was in 2015 or 16 well they were located I think in Lafayette and when I got signed in to stay they were moving like the 3rd day that I was there to sunset location . It was cool to see . The old one looked like a house it was cool . I had came in and almost passed out and the nurses and staff made sure I was ok and saw a doctor and that mentally I was okay . I may not have been at my best but the staff and everyone here was so beyond kind and cared about everyone's sobriety and it was individualized and personal . It was pricey back then I'm not sure about now . I had ended leaving but I never forgot and alot of people will say it's about how people treat you that people remember. It helped me in the sobriety process . They were still kind and wanted me to stay so much but I needed something else . Well because I had went for the time length I stayed I got an AA book and I kept it all these years and today it still helps and has helped heal me. If it wasn't for that place I wouldn't know the AA way.

I was a recent patient here a few days ago. This was my second time around. They ended up putting me in Unit B, which was absolutely awful. The technicians were yelling at patients, ripping off the magnetic bathroom doors, and were extremely emotionless. I ended up having a panic attack, and told one of the charge nurses, she then told me I had to wait 30 mins till medicine time at 8pm. I ended up sitting there shaking and crying the entire time! Not even one of those people comforted me or asked me if I was okay. It felt more like a chore for them than their job. I ended up calling my mother who complained and I asked to be moved to Unit A (Calm Unit). I have nothing but amazing reviews for Unit A. The nurses are amazing. The techs are amazing. Doctors are amazing. The patients are even better over there because it is a place for people with certain problems who want a more quiet space and can heal peacefully! The only BAD thing about this place is the food. Some of it is okay, but they should really have healthier options for people who are healing. Portion sizes should be bigger too, because some of us are taking medicines that make us hungrier or even getting our appetites back! Consider it. Thank you to everyone who helped me here. I can not appreciate everyone enough.

I got out this hospital about a week ago but I would rate this hospital a 4 because the staff was really nice. They did stuff with us. And the social workers would give us little advice on how to do better at coping with things and how to take care of it. Oh and it was clean. Now the only time the staff would sound rude is when the other people wouldn't corporate with them or not listen. But otherwise they were not a bad hospital. I'm so glad they weren't abusive like the one I was at when I was 9.

Houma is the 195th most expensive city nationwide for addiction treatment affordability, with an average cost of addiction treatment of $55808. This is comparable to the average cost of $56822 for addiction treatment in Louisiana and comparable to the national average cost for drug rehab of $57,193.
The costs of drug and alcohol rehab in Houma vary widely and depend on several factors, including:
The costs of addiction treatment listed for cities and states are averages based on the cost of medical detox, inpatient rehab, outpatient rehab, and medication assisted treatment. These averages are high due to the cost of medical detoxification and residential inpatient rehab programs.
These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below. There are many ways to pay for drug rehab in Houma. Most rehab treatment centers accept cash or self-payment, as well as private health insurance. However, there are many treatment centers in Houma that accept Medicaid and Medicare, or offer sliding scale payments or other low-cost payment options. Here's the complete breakdown of how to pay for addiction treatment near Houma.
Aetna is the most widely-accepted insurance for drug rehabs in Houma, with 1 treatment centers in the city accepting their insurance. Blue Cross Blue Shield is the 2nd most popular with 1 treatment centers accepting it followed by Cigna in 3rd accepted by 1 drug rehabs.
Houma has the 52nd highest rate of drug use nationwide among nearly 400 cities surveyed. This number reflects the combined use of cocaine, heroin, meth, and marijuana, displayed individually below. The percent shown for each drug represents the number of residents in Terrebonne county that have reported ever using the following drugs, so these numbers should not be interpreted as direct evidence of current drug use in Houma or Terrebonne county as a whole.
In 2023, Houma had the 193rd highest number narcotics violations out of 330 cities nationwide, with a total of 337 reported drug-related incidents that year. This includes cases of public intoxication, drug arrests, narcotics found during house calls and traffic stops, and any other drug-related crime.
Keep in mind these numbers are dependent on accurate record keeping and reporting laws by local police and sheriffs, and may not fully reflect all drug related crime in Houma. All values are per 100,000 population.
