I have been a professional interventionist since 2010. I was introduced to this program in 2012. I have been referring there since then. My clients have always had a positive experience and the clinical and support staff are the most responsive and knowledgeable. They want what’s best for the client and the family and have long term options. They do very well young adult males and most recently I referred a 69 year old man first time treatment. It was a family member and he’s doing very well and committed to 90 days of treatment. I can’t thank the clinical staff and administrators enough for the program they have created. I would recommend this place for treatment to any and all who are looking to end addiction and overall recover their lives. The staff here as a whole is committed to patient recovery and has experience, strength and hope to share. The counselors are amazing and the food is good too. I attended the Intensive outpatient program there. It surpasses other similar programs I have tried in the past. The team there really cares for the patients and makes sure they help you get to class. Very responsive with any problems you may face even after hours. Great program and great team they have to support the needs of the clients. I highly recommend this if your in the need of similar services.

Powerhouse was a great experience. It helped me to be grateful for everything I have in my life. I was given an amazing opportunity to practice the principles I learned in my inpatient program. I was given opportunities to help others and bond with fellow patients. The staff are all Powerhouse alumni and are very passionate and knowledgeable about recovery. I am extremely fortunate to have gone through the Powerhouse program and absolutely recommend this facility to anyone struggling with addiction who is looking for a path to recovery.

As with anything in life you ONLY get what YOU put into something, including mental health. I WAS skeptical about embarking on this with Beacon only because my inpatient stay many years ago with them was forced. Everyone that I have encountered in my 3 day a week day program has changed my perspective. From Mrs. Lisa, Alyssa all the way through Ms. Jessie and Patricia. I'm enjoying my days a lot more.

i have no idea about the other reviews but this was genuinely a good experience, they might have changed some things after all the bad reviews or complaints? im not sure but the staff there are amazing, i only have problems with one of them, i do not know her name but shes like...very rude. and your stay is determined on your Medicaid!!!!! not your mental health!
but it does work tho! i dont have any more thoughts of suici***! but i have a bad feeling with dr deback about the way he diagnoses people, the kids i was in with said he diagnoses everyone with bipolar, but i did not. in conclusion the place is sick and mrs kay is the best staff member to ever exists along with mr joey. 100% would never come again (because i have no reason to!)

This is a true review about Ocean behavioral health on Howell Boulevard in Baton Rouge.
My significant other Went to Umc New Orleans, at least four times this year, each time being discharged without being better.
This last time, Umc did not accept the Behavior health section at Umc center two hours away to Ocean Baton Rouge. At the time this was troubling to me, but, turned out to be a good thing because Umc was very difficult to deal with as a caregiver. Ocean Baton Rouge is like night and day compared to Umc, Ocean was cleaner and better maintained then Umc, and the staff could not be any nicer or more professional. the staff at Oceans always answer the phone
always answers your questions, and they are always nice and polite and professional .I would recommend to anyone in need of help with behavioral health to consider Ocean Baton Rouge, Two hours one way is a long trip to make, but I would gladly make it instead of the 20 minute one way to Umc. I would absolutely bring my loved one to Ocean and the future. Should she ever need Behavior health help again.

It was the best decision I made for myself. The staff is professional and friendly, and always there. I would like to say going in always remember patience is a virtue in the beginning, but the outcome that you get leaving is amazing. I have learned so much about myself and others. I will always be the best person I can be. thanks for all the nurses all the MHT for their amazing support they gave me through my journey.
