I'm very thankful for the staff, doctor's, nurse,counselors,and techs. When I came I was lost, and now that I'm graduating I have been fine. The counselors taught me how to handle my feelings and to learn coping skills to deal with my diagnosis. Everybody welcomed me with open arms and that made me feel like one big happy family. First off I have been with SCLHSA for almost 2 decades now. Don't expect to see a doctor or counselor on the first visit or after the first phone. I see a doctor, Dr Brice who is amazing and reads patient files and a counselor once a month. They can be overbooked and understaffed but do try to accommodate everyone. Yes I do have telehealth visits at the clinic as doctors are spread thin. I have never had any problems except for parking, which is no longer an issue, and people coming in thinking they can get seen right then and there with no consideration of others and yell at the workers who also have to worry about their own mental health.

If it weren't for St. Christopher's we would still be wading through the confusion of what to do about our alcoholic loved one. The pain was close to unbearable. We were all lost and so very tired. St. Chris was recommended to us and the counselors and techs there made the difference. After three months, our loved one graduated and transitioned with the help of staff. The combination of medical supervision, group therapy, and 24/7 supervision was the key to finding the path we are on now. Our alcoholic is over six months sober and proud. It's a day at a time, but we are thankful for this second chance, given to us by the caring folks at St. Christopher's.

There isn't enough space to say how I feel about Lake Wellness. I woke up on 9/10/23 and decided to reach out to them via online. I filled out a form and was called within minutes offering help. I honestly could not do it by myself. The staff there is exceptional. The counselors there were exceptional. And the doctor very caring. Everytime I went in I felt like I was walking into home and knew I was safe. Thank you so much Lake Wellness, yall saved my life!!!!!

The staff were amazing. Detox they took very good care Of me. No one knew my bad behavior, caused by seizures. 5 different types. Walking talking worst. I'm mean violent, after seizures. They dealt with me, kindly, I wasn't nice at all. I still have doctors they set me up with. 5/6 years ago, I was there. Before you judge staff, look at yourself. Detox, is hard. Flexible hours for IOP and really good counselors. They will help you with EVERYTHING. This is more like a family. They offer treatment plans, one on one counseling, transitional living, and more. If you are in recovery this is where you need to be at.

The medication assisted program makes the road to recovery easier and possible. Unfortunately TriCare East is not accepted! I brought it to their attention being that they advertise TriCare . The issues that occurred in my treatment all stemmed from this not accepting TriCare .Otherwise,the program will assist you in finding your way back.
