I turned to Victory when I was at the end of the road and felt I had nowhere else to turn. Victory gave me not only the chance to live again but also the tools to face life’s struggles and grow from them. Life hasn’t been perfect since Victory, but I’m a better person because of it.
I don’t think many people wake up excited to walk into an inpatient facility, but if I ever had to do it again, I’d want it to be here. The staff and patients truly felt like family. We grew together — supporting each other through every step. The days are structured and purposeful, filled with small groups, community sessions, and learning opportunities that all have meaning.
If you’re reading reviews wondering if this is the right place for you, give it a try. You can always leave if it’s not a fit — but you might not get another chance if you pass this one up. Victory helped save my life, and for that, I’ll always be grateful.

I have gone a couple times and the staff have been great I would recommend this place before anywhere else and I have been to other place. People need to be grateful we have a clinic now. Im very thankful we do. They do a good job provide free coffee and really go out of their way to help you. YOU Vets complaining either stop going and go pay for your healthcare somewhere else instead of taking up spots for VETERANs that actually need and appreciate the care the VA is providing. They got my son on the right medication after having a horrible experience at another facility!! My son is actually doing a lot better after coming home from here. They stayed in touch with us, called us daily and gave updates. Was very impressed with them. Yes they have rules the kids need to follow, and that’s good because everything has rules. Yes they spent time in the group room watching a movie but that gave him time to think about what he did to get to where he was. I would highly recommend them!!

I was addicted to narcotic pain medicine for over 13 years and my doctor that gote addicted got shut down for writing too many narcotic prescriptions then I moved to a different town and brought my records from previous doctor and none of the doctors I went to would give me any so I started buying them illegally on the streets every day. But when I started BAART 5 years ago I got off of all illegal drugs I done in my life and was no longer in excruciating pain when I didn't take narcotic pain pills. Their program changed my life for the better. The only problem I've had is every counselor they assign me gets to know me and then they change my counselor. I've had like 5 or 6 in 5 years.

"Update: June 24th 2025, the VA has taken strides in streamlining Veteran care in all its facilities, it is not the same as it used to be. You can pre check in to your appointments. They really care about veterans and working on their timeframes. " Previous review: I could go to Houston 2 hrs away and be seen.. However if you dont go to this outpatient clinic they will not see you unless you are seen within 2 yrs.. They will refuse you to be seen. In Baton rouge I was seen immediately that day at that va outpatient clinic.
