Woodlake is a difficult place to receive treatment. The rules changes as the days go.

On December 5th, 2019 I walked into this treatment center and have been sober ever since. It wasn't easy at times, but Woodlake helped me see that it was a lot less complicated than I was making it! I followed the suggestions given and my life significantly improved in every way possible.

Absolutely amazing! The techs, nurses, counselors, all the best of the best! I 100% recommend Woodlake Abbeville! It's very comfortable and peaceful and you will leave a changed person! Everyone there has made a huge impact on my life because they never gave up on me! Thank you Woodlake!!

My grandson is there and I was scared at first I didn't even know what the property looks like or anything but it's pretty much way out in the boondocks seen plenty of corn fields and it's located down a long gravel road I was like oh my God there's not even blacktop roads but we got there and it's like a couple separate buildings and my grandson was so happy he didn't act like he wanted to go home or juvie LOL the staff was very nice it's way more than I expected I had told my grandson that I would like to try to maybe donate some stuff for them to do you know games and stuff like that but he said no mamaw we have plenty of stuff to do I get to choose my chores and I chose to cut grass what she likes because his papa never lets him we're about an hour and a half for longer away from there but it's really nice as we were there they was cooking them po'boys french fries and I'm trying to think something else but he said he's eating very good there and you know they pretty much mentor them and cancel them and they don't see race the one man that works the board is you know the one that told me that and he was so kind to us he seemed like he really cared about my grandson

Ample handicapped parking, when you walk up they are ALWAYS playing patriotic music, doors can be opened automatically or if you prefer to just push but most of the time the security guard scrambles to do it for you and pushes the automatic button for you. The front desk staff, the nursing staff, the social services staff, radiology… absolutely the best of the best- they never ever lose their cool with some of the grumpier old Veterans (which by the way they ARE a Veteran- they have earned the right to be grumpy- just not rude y’all 😉)❤️🤍💙🇱🇷Anyways- every time I go with my dad- He’s a Vietnam Veteran- I’m always amazed at how so very kind, upmost respectful and sweet the staff is. Not sure about other medical staff but my dad has Dr Gautam, Mrs. Myra and a new nurse (I can’t remember her name) but by golly this crew is so attentive, listens, finds solutions and helps my dad AND me with him! They should be so proud of the service they provide to our Veterans! Just exemplary service from the minute you walk in till you leave🇱🇷♥️🤍💙❤️🤍💙

Great place to get clean and sober. Marla truly cares about anyone that comes through her door. If you take her suggestions, you can awaken to a new life. She was my counselor and I now have 9 years. Keep on keeping on.

They have very good counselors who care about your health and get you out of addiction. The program is very well organized, maybe it's a bit expensive but it's worth it

Whispering Oaks Lodge saved my life. Their holistic approach, mental, emotional, physical, & spiritual, forced me to look at myself in the most intimate way! This intense & much deeper look into myself encouraged an honesty I had never experienced. Taking an honest with no sugar coating the facts, look at myself helped me take ownership of the consequences my addiction had on me, my family, & friends. They do not let you play the blame game. The freedoms given before & after the individual & group sessions allows self reflection & interaction with other patients. The assignments given are individualized, not your generic ones given in other treatment centers. The professionalism of the staff is impeccable! They met every morning to discuss each patient therefore all the counselors were able to help at a moments notice. I was very impressed at the insight each counselor had on each patient!!! Their feedback, although not always easy to hear, was always spot on!!!
