This was the first rehab I had ever went to. This was in 2015 or 16 well they were located I think in Lafayette and when I got signed in to stay they were moving like the 3rd day that I was there to sunset location . It was cool to see . The old one looked like a house it was cool . I had came in and almost passed out and the nurses and staff made sure I was ok and saw a doctor and that mentally I was okay . I may not have been at my best but the staff and everyone here was so beyond kind and cared about everyone's sobriety and it was individualized and personal . It was pricey back then I'm not sure about now . I had ended leaving but I never forgot and alot of people will say it's about how people treat you that people remember. It helped me in the sobriety process . They were still kind and wanted me to stay so much but I needed something else . Well because I had went for the time length I stayed I got an AA book and I kept it all these years and today it still helps and has helped heal me. If it wasn't for that place I wouldn't know the AA way.

Lafayette, LA | Vermilion Behavioral Health System is a comprehensive psychiatric care and substance use recovery clinic in Lafayette, Louisiana. Various treatment options are available for adults and adolescents. This includes residential care, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. Their multidisciplinary care team is compassionate and highly | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Hello! I am Kaylee Lindsley. (THIS IS ALL OF MY STORIES THERE, AND I DO NOT STATE THE NAMES OF THE PATIENTS FOR PRIVACY, AND YOU DO NOT HAVE TO COME HERE, THIS WAS ONLY THE CLOSEST PLACE I COULD GO TO) I went here the first time in Jan 2024. The stay was nice (WEST), other than getting my hair pulled and beaten on the ground, and all they did with the girl was give her the booty juice and made her stay in her room. I don't remember if she was in the VCR room or not. I also saw the same girl who dragged me making out with her "best friend" on the other side of the room while the lights were off, and a movie was on(2-3 days prior to the fight). I LOVED Mr. Larry, I miss him. AND THE TWINS!! I called them Mario and Luigi I LOVE LOVE LOVEE Mrs. Anita! (TT). Second visit! I was on East, and it was pretty good, I don't remember most of it. Third visit! (WEST) I don't remember the kids that were there except the other girl who made out with the girl who beat me. Me and her started being friends after she told me she genuinely did not want to make that plan with her. Fourth visit! I do not remember a single thing that happened there. Fifth(WEST) visit! It was not very nice, as there was like 6 fights during my 1 week visit, and a boy there who was 16 while I was 13, had went behind me for snack time, and he had unfortunately got too close, and I had felt something on my rear hind. I looked back at him, and he was smirking. Everyone there assumed me and that boy were dating, when we were clearly was just friends, *TW! also not to mention, he had gotten into a fight with some tall big dude, that broke his finger, and his glasses stabbed him in the eye, I saw a glance of that room, and (TW!!) there was blood splattered on the mirror.* There was also a "singing competition" outside (Not the basketball court), and I won first place!! Sixth visit! (Earliest in March 2026) VERY AMAZING! The staff were so nice but some of them were kind of mean. I don't recall SOME their names, but I do remember Mr. Devon! He was so chill and was strict on the diversity between the girls and boys, which I truly appreciated. I also remember the girls there were so supportive. One girl there, was so messy, and she liked to pick fights with everyone that said her name. My (ex) best friend, that went to school with me, went there as well. The same girl that picked fights with everyone, had tricked my (ex) best friend into thinking i was talking smack about her! She ended up almost getting into a fight with that girl that was messy. They let my (ex) best friend in her room, and the messy girl had gotten booty juice for instigating a fight. Not to mention, the messy girl was stating that a guy was flirting with a girl while playing cards out loud, and Mrs. Anita had made a rule for the West Unit that the girls cannot play cards with the boys. That pissed me off b/c they were just having a conversation while playing California Speed! Anyways, that is all I can recall from all of my visits. ALL-TOGETHER, The tech are very strong (specifically the male tech) when there is tension going on between patients (fights/arguments/etc.) I Love Mrs. Anita, she is so funny, and loves to sing, and every time she comes on the unit, the kids would always be so happy to see her. I loved Mrs. Lindsey, Mrs. Anissa, And (I forgot her name but she always wore pony-tails and had a big smile on her face, and was so nice). I would recommend coming here, if you need help, like drama, and like communicating with the right people! (Drama for me, I personally like.) :)

Incredible Spiritual Boot Camp - In the Best Way!
Wow! If you're serious about getting right with God and yourself, Home of Grace is the place. They say it's like "3 years of church in 90 days," and they aren't kidding! The intensity of the spiritual teachings, the quality of the classes, and the dedication of the teachers and preachers are unparalleled. I learned so much about faith, forgiveness, and God's grace. This is certainly NOT the sweet 16 I had imagined. I had spent the last 9 months trying to figure out what was going on with my daughter. The night before her 16 birthday I located her with friend completely wasted to a dangerous level. She revealed she had a plan to kill herself so I immediately took her to the emergency room. She went to a hospital for a day or two until I could get her enrolled. A good friend was a drug and alcohol professional and recommended New Beginnings. It is hard to leave your child with strangers in another state but what other choice did I have? I knew this was a life or death situation. The staff took good care of her and helped her begin a journey of sobriety. It was not an easy journey for her or our family. The staff remained in close contact with us and tried to help us as a family. Most importantly they saved my daughter. This July she will celebrate her 6th year of sobriety. I could not be more grateful for this staff. Their attention to detail and care of my entire child was incredible. My daughter is alive, sober and thriving as a young adult because of these professionals.

This facility really saved my life. I was in and out of psych hospitals from various drug overdoses and suicide attempts. After I was expelled from my high school, my addiction became extremely worse. after about two months of of extreme use of alcohol and opiates, i had my last drink and shot up for the first time. I went to a hospital with a BAC of .43. My mom found this treatment center when I was detoxing in a mental health facility. I finally agreed to go which was the beginning of my new life. Everyone at the facility got what i was going through. If you’re looking for a place to send your kid who is struggling with substance abuse i highly, highly recommend this place.

April will mark my 21st year at Barrt!!... I know that may seem like a long time to some, but I can honestly say Barrt is one of the reasons I'm still alive after all these years!!... In all these years I have never had one complaint!... I will probably be there for the rest of my life and that's okay because it's my recovery and what works and has worked for me.... Needed to guest dose while driving through town on a very long road trip. Front window staff and the nurse who handled my paperwork were extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend to anyone who needs to do the same to be prepared, communicate with your home clinic and counselor to get the paperwork started as early as possible, that's what takes the longest. My wait wasn't as long as I was anticipating, especially for a Friday. Thank you very much to everyone there that made it possible for me to get my medication when I needed it very much.

After reading the reviews, we were terrified to leave our family member at Compass in Opelusas. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The social worker, Claire, was very helpful, keeping us updated with medication changes and progress reports. She was kind and never made us feel like an inconvenience when we called. Absolutely beautiful grounds and the most supportive, caring, and loving staff. From the moment I walked in at Intake I immediately felt welcomed. Was greeted by staff that also had personaly experienced the recovery journey. Having that in common made it easier for me to be able to start forgiving myself and focusing on my sobriety. The techs were able to guide me , answering all my questions and calming my anxiety. There was plenty of other clients to talk to. We enjoyed fishing, volley ball and basketball. Staff even played with us. My counselor was able to listen, be empathetic but also hold me accountable. Which I needed more than I knew at the time. The atmosphere was relaxing and perfect for my self healing. I can't thank Edgefield Recovery Center enough for giving me the opportunity to get my life back. One I am proud of. I would strongly recommend Edgefield to anyone ready to start their journey. We had nightly AA meetings, small groups, one on one counseling, mediation, yoga, gratitude, family meal's. I don't have an addiction, but my sister is doing treatment here. I HOPE AND PRAY that Hope Center will give her the treatment and tools she'll need to beat this ugly thing. Thank you, Hope Center, for all that you do and will continue doing to making lives healthy again! God Bless

I arrived at the Hope Center in 2016 a hopeless heroin addict. The warm and kind people here open my mind up to this awesome program. And I have been here in one capacity or another the whole time this place saved my life.. James (Danny) Langlois
